  • They had The Backrooms on a survey, though I have no idea how the licensing works with that.

  • I would love to talk about the map, but it NEVER shows up, at least for me it doesn't. Even with the offering (which is useless as it seems to guarantee you do not ever get that realm) I never see it. The fact that there is an escape achievement attached to this thing, that is apparently the rarest map in the game, and survivability on it is so low… Just…what were y'all thinking when creating this map?

I thought the tile was supposed to appear on almost any map if a TWD character was in play? Why didn't you go through with that?

  • The reason they gave for nerfing Clown… This is just further proof they don't play their own game.

  • If you insist on this finisher mori idea going through….which I, personally, don't like the idea of….Then what if you made it so that any survivor could be mori'd once the final gen is done or the end game collapse starts? Then keep the ebony mori the way it is currently and just change the other 2. Make it so one gives a bonus for each survivor sacrificed and the other gives a bonus for each survivor mori'd.

  • Isn't the dredge thing just a glitch? I don't remember it doing that the first time around. Then again, my memory is quite bad so…

  • Wesker and Twins. Wesker throws a survivor and Victor tries to catch and ride em like a surf board.

Also, I just want to use Wesker and throw survivors into the Nemesis zombies.

  • I'd personally like an option to make the startup video random.

  • I still hope for a Moira legendary skin...which would fit best on Rebecca, imo.

  • I prefer to mix and match cosmetic pieces. Either to follow a particular theme, job type, or so on. Whenever possible I will have them look as close as possible to other characters not in DBD. Like my attempt to make Ace look like the GTA 3 Guy (Claude)

  • I thought it would end with a jumpscare with the new killer, tbh. I freaked myself out watching it, lol.

  • I started to go as dark as possible...but after a while it just felt very lame to me, so I stopped. Not complaining about others doing it or anything, just that I, personally, didn't enjoy that "strat."

  • @CLHL said:

Ruin is a regression event? Because if that's the case these changes would make that perk even worse, you could use it to your advantage to exhaust the 8 events.

That is my concern as well. Ruin would be better if it is made to ignore or be unaffected by the 'regression events' entirely. Would make it good again without being OP.

  • It is a good idea on paper...but forcing survivors to continue in a game they clearly want out of could possibly be far worse. If they don't simply afk at the hook, they will simply find the killer and give them free hooks till they die. Or...what I highly expect to happen....they will become quite petty and make the game horrible for the other survivors. They could go around and throw down every pallet on the map, fail skill checks on purpose and destroy a gens progress, lead the killer to wherever another survivor is, etc. Stopping someone from leaving the game early will just increase the toxicity. The only way to solve this is to find either find out why survivors mainly quit to begin with, and find a way to fix it...or come up with a way to encourage survivors to keep playing despite having a bad start. (No idea how to do that.)

  • 1: Blight - I get so many Blights that I am sick of playing against him. I also get the same amount of Nurses but those games are over quick, unlike Blight games.

2: Legion - Playing mending simulator has never been fun.

3: Huntress - 90% of the Huntress players I encounter camp and/or tunnel at 5 gens. Way more than any Leatherface I have seen. So much so that, imo, Huntress takes the camping throne.

  • Just a random thought, but what if...instead of having the person using no mither be permanently broken, they are instead permanently exposed? Same effect, but it isn't immediately known to the killer at the start of the game.

  • If we are talking about vs a highly skilled team of survivors, Tombstone Piece is far stronger. All you gotta do is 99 the stalk and wait till you are right behind one of the survivors and pop it. Doesn't Matter if you sneak up on them or catch up during a chase. It is a Free kill.

Infinite T3 isn't as strong as you might think. Sure, vs average or lower survivors it can dominate...but skilled teams know how to play around this. One of Myer's biggest advantages is his low terror radius and ability to create uncertainty within a survivor's mind. This can cause survivors to become inefficient and take longer to do gens as a result of being cautious of your position. This goes out the window with T3 as the terror radius grows. Survivors will just opt to run or hide the moment they hear your terror radius. On top of that, they will opt to not even bother to heal. Without the need to heal they can simply just rush gens much faster, especially of they brought along resilience. That isn't even mentioning the time it takes to reach tier 3. It takes much longer to reach tier 3 using this add-on than normal. The time to get to it can be extended based on how the survivors play. They can very easily break line of sight in many loops and make stalking much harder. You could lose several gens before you reach tier 3. Again, this is assuming you are going up against very good survivors.

What would be some amazing chapters that afterall we still most likely (for whatever reason) wont ever get? We are excluding the obvious Chucky and F13.

    Twin Peaks chapter:

    Survivor: Agent Dale Cooper

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QF1LOZMD057I/agentdalecooper.jpg

    Killer: BOB

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MQYL81EY66TV/twinpeaksbob.jpg

Map: The red Room or The great Northern

    Life is Stranger Chapter:

    Survivor: Chloe Price

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HPHS7PUTO26A/2793191-9624180657-tumbl.jpg

    Map: Acradia Bay

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DHYN9QZI092W/julie-lefevre-lis-destruct-end-01.jpg

    Kind regards

I would love Chloe as a survivor...or at the very least, a legendary skin for Nea.

As for licenses that probably will never happen...

Christine is the main one. While a killer car would be fun....there is no way to make it actually work. At least none that I can see anyway.

Another that most likely would never happen would be The Undertaker from WWE. When he first debuted, he was honestly quite scary at the time. I still remember hearing stories of him scaring people outside of events as well.(Plus I just really want to chokeslam a survivor through a pallet, lol.) On the subject of WWE, I still think the character of The Fiend would fit perfectly as a killer in DBD. Heck, he carried around his previous persona's severed head as a lantern. It is sad that Bray Wyatt is no longer with us...but I, Personally, would love to see his creativity and the character he created live on.

  • Yui. If I am remembering it correctly, there was a tome about an evil version of her killing other versions of herself. I could be remembering this entirely wrong though. Either way...my answer is Yui.

....Or Cheryl, if licenses are allowed. Either the version of herself from Silent Hill 3's bad ending or the Memory of Alessa boss from Silent Hill 3.

  • Some Legendary skins I'd like to see would be:

    Jill: Regina from Dino Crisis

Rebecca: Moira from Resident Evil Revelations 2

Cheryl: Angela Orosco from Silent Hill 2

Clown: Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal

Spirit or Nurse: A Nurse from Silent Hill

Twins: a Jockey and Female Boomer from Left 4 Dead 2 (assuming a skin can be added to Victor)

Plague: Spitter from Left 4 Dead 2

I'd also like to see legendary skins from non-horror licenses, for example...Chloe from Life is Strange would be a perfect legendary skin for Nea. Or possibly The Borg from Star Trek for Singularity.

On a side note, out of pure curiosity...would The Blob work for Dredge?

  • I am getting this same error. Been trying to play for the last 30 minutes and keep getting "no network connection" as well. I can play all my other games just fine.

  • If Nick Cage got his own tome....I kinda want him to narrate it himself, lol.

Also....I have no idea where this thought came from.....but....I kind of want to see a Nick Cage legendary skin for The Dredge... >_>

  • The other add-ons are fine. They make Myers....Myers. Changing too much about him runs the risk of him being reworked like Freddy. We don't need to go through that again. Plus, with so many different ways to play him he can still be scary and intimidating to face him, but not impossible. I don't really want much to change about him for fear of what makes him fun might be removed as well as the ONE problematic thing.

Tombstone Piece does need a change. Personally, I think it should keep the Mori effect...but it should be VERY risky to use. Like, say once Myers hits the Mori, he drops all the way back down to tier 1 and is locked out of tier 3. Or maybe make it so that he can't stalk anymore after the Tombstone Piece Mori. So, you can get that early Mori if you want...but you are tier 1 for the rest of the game. another possibility could also be to have some kind of struggle mechanic both sides take part in and the one that wins determines if the Mori happens or not (Tombstone Piece would still be one time use, failure or not.)

  • Jurassic Park could work if the killer was the Indoraptor from Jurassic World.

A killer I'd like to see added but wouldn't work would be Christine or one of the Vehicles from Maximum Overdrive. Being chased through the maps by a killer car would be fun but...no way it would work at all, lol.

  • If you are tired of playing Wesker so much...I will gladly trade you my back to back Blight games....

  • Gen Rushing is going to be ridiculous. Perfect time to get that escape RPD Achievement/Trophy if you haven't done so already. In the beginning the game will enter a weirdly good, but delicate, balance where the gen-rushing + healing nerf balance each other out. At least until the next patch after ruins it.

  • For Survivors:

The Troll: Deception, Diversion, Red Herring, Repressed Alliance - As for who you troll, killer or sirvivor...is up to you.

Survivor Watch: Bond, Empathy, Kindred, Open Handed. Proceed to watch what your random teammates ACTUALLY do during a trial. Optional: Give a play by play in a wildlife documentary tone of voice.

Directory Assistance: Empathic Connection, Situational Awareness, Wake Up, Kindred. Basically any perk that gives info to your teammates.

Selfish Care: Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Bite The Bullet. Self explanatory.

    For Killer:

Amanda's Rigged Game: Haunted Grounds, Undying, Retribution, Devour Hope(Hex Roulette basically) Add-Ons: Rule Set No. 2, Dace Mask. Additional Rule: If all Hex Perks are destroyed, you can no longer sacrifice/kill survivors.

The Exposed Clown: Make Your Choice, Hubris, Iron Maiden, Nemesis. Add-ons: Red Head's Pinky Finger, ???(your choice.)

  • what they had previewed in the ptb was poorly thought out. It killed a lot of the fun killers and survivors had together. One of the things both sides tend to like is when the killer carries that last remaining survivor to the hatch. End Game slug races were also killed with it. From what I saw...no one (or at least the majority) was happy with it. It also somehow made the Mori itself feel less special and kind of lame. (Though that one is my own personal opinion.)

  • I'll agree more killers need to have their add-ons looked at. Pyramid Head's add-ons are quite boring and only very few are actually useful against good teams. Freddy's add-ons should be changed to make him have the most customizable power in the game, with different add-ons changing the way his power works just like being able to change the blood pools to fake pallets. It would make him fun to play, at least to me it would. Myers getting an add-on pass is needed....but it also scares me. Right now, even though Myers isn't the strongest...he can still invoke fear and intimidation into survivors. I'm afraid a change to his add-ons will destroy this feeling when you face Myers.

  • A random thought that came to me just now....but I'd like to see an abandoned/run down Arena of some kind.

  • So that is why I see so many killers using Huntress's Lullaby. I thought it was weird it suddenly became so popular.

  • When it comes to Devour Hope, wouldn't Nurse's blinks being special attacks be a good thing? Since her hits wouldn't insta-down it would effectively hide that your hex is Devour, thus allowing Nurse to (attempt) to "smuggle" that Devour Hope 5 stack without the survivors ever knowing the danger.

Or am I thinking this through wrong? I'm unsure as I have stopped using Hex Perks quite a while ago. They all just get destroyed within the first minute of gameplay anyway, so I am unfamiliar with how many of them work now.

Not too shut off the copium supply, but I promise you that I'm not teasing anything. But as someone who's currently using my phone because my internet is out, I definitely agree on a personal level that it would be nice to play against bots right now.

While it might or might not be in future plans....I will say that, if it were to be implemented, such a feature would be greatly appreciated.

  • The Entity is capable of taking people from different timelines. The Entity can look into different universes and timelines and take the version of said character that best suits what it wants. We know it can do this due to Yui's tome. It also took the version of Cheryl after the end of Silent Hill 3 that went through the Good Ending. The version of Jill it took was a more inexperienced Jill (at least of RE's story) that had yet to accomplish all that she did throughout the RE games.

These characters are all real in The Entity's realm. They were taken from their own "Real World." To Feng, in her "Real World," the universe she originates from, Silent Hill and Resident Evil were just games that she played and loved. Then, The Entity takes her into its realm and later she starts running into real life version of horror icons like Myers and Laurie Strode. Only to later find she is able to "meet" real life versions of Jill and Cheryl, characters that (I assume) are her favorites.

In short, characters like Jill and Cheryl in The Entity's realm are taken from a universe where the events of their games were real. In Feng's home universe (like ours) Silent Hill and Resident Evil were just games. She has played them...cosplayed them...and is now surviving along side them.

  • Gonna be honest, not too familiar with what is meta as I just ingnore all that and run whatever I feel like at the time. That said, I tend to have the most success with these two.

First one I call "Directory Assistance."

Empathic Connection - Situational Awareness - Wake Up - Kindred.

Basically, I just use perks that specifically give info to my team. My games tend to go a bit better overall when I use it, lol.

    Second one is "Survivor Watch"

Bond - Empathy - Kindred - Open Handed

Just pile on perks that allow me to see the other survivors. I do this one just for the fun of it. I mostly use it just to see what my team actually does during a game.

  • I'm on Xbox One (the first version of the console) and have no issues with RPD. Both versions function just fine for me. The previous version was fine for me as well.

  • An idea I had in the past about this is....what if each character only had 2 teachable perks and the 3rd was a Unique perk that can only be used on that specific character, should you want to use it. Not sure what it would do balance wise though.

  • Hawkins was a great map. It was the one map where blindly gen rushing or insta throwing a pallet was NOT the best thing to do. You had to actually think while playing. If the survivors left the portal room gen and the upstairs gen for last, the killer would not be able to stop the final gen from being completed. Both sides could turn the tables into their favor at any point, it just came down to who was better. Had so much fun playing Hawkins as both survivor and killer.

  • Definitely was the most unique killer in the game...but also was the worst. I suggest looking up some old gameplay of him on youtube. You'll see first hand what his gameplay was like.

  • @Milo said:

Killer shouldn't have an ability to instadown from the moment they spawn on the map.

    Meanwhile chainsaw killers...

Tbh, now that I think about it, I just wish it had some sort of indication it's in play.

Maybe make the hatchet glow an eerie red/iridescent glow?

  • I'd be ok with (much) weaker versions of certain perks being basekit IF they are only basekit when you are not in a SWF. SWF doesn't really need the additional help and will just make them even stronger than they already are. SoloQ however, does need some help. I don't really know if it is possible to do...but I, personally, think that would be ok. Though, I am in the 'no more perks as basekit' camp. Just trying to find some middle ground between the two issues.

  • I use to play both evenly, but I have been playing killer less and less and less. Now I only play killer when I have challenges or dailies for them. After that I just stick to survivor. Killer just isn't fun anymore to me.

  • @blue4zion said:

American Horror story for sure. I'd love to see Fiona Goode be a killer, with Twisty as a Legendary outfit for Clown.

Also FNAF, the fan Made concept was enough to make me want this.

Left 4 Dead Part 2, I really think they're missing out not brining in one of the Special Infected and I'd die for a 2nd, giving us a Witch or somethin.

Another Left 4 Dead chapter would be great. Would love to get either the Witch or the Tank as a killer. Maybe the Hunter...but his power would be a combination of Victor's lunge and Blight's ability to bounce of walls..... Which sounds like a lot of fun now that I think about it, lol.

  • Any chapter with survivors and/or killers from stuff that is NOT horror or slasher based. I think there are several licenses that would fit in nicely with DBD despite not being in the horror genre.

Also....Jurassic Park. I just want the original area from the first movie as a map. That...and I want a raptor as a killer. The best choice would be the indoraptor but I don't see a way for it to work, lol.

  • On the killer side it also promotes a non-camping playstyle, so I'm all for it.

  • I like facing against a good Nurse. It is not easy to learn her and whoever puts in the time and energy to do so has my praise. I find the challenge of facing nurse to be fun and intimidating. Now Blight....THAT one is who I hate going up against. I never have fun when he is the killer. He is just annoying (for me, personally.)

  • I can say that the bloody party streamers feel like they have gotten more rare. It also feels like certain add-ons aren't coming up as often as others. Been trying to stockpile some Scratched Mirror add-ons on Myers and despite how many levels of the bloodweb I went through...not one had shown up. every other very rare and ultra rare popped up multiple times...but the one I wanted...not even one. Possible it is just some weird RNG....but it is also possible things got messed up somehow for the bloodwebs.

  • I see so many say replace Cheryl with James...and I can't help but laugh. Y'all doin it wrong. I wouldn't replace Cheryl, I'd ADD James as a 2nd survivor. along with Legendary skins for Harry and other male Silent Hill Characters. Possibly add Maria and Angela as skins for Cheryl as well.

Also, as much as I love Midwich...I'd replace it with Nowhere. Considering what Nowhere actually is, the entity would struggle to understand or comprehend the location, if it could at all. With The Entity unable understand or accurately recreate it for its realms, this would give the Devs the freedom they need to make a truly balanced map and add in multiple areas of popular Silent Hill locations. Plus...I am interested in seeing how The Entity interprets a location such as Nowhere. either that...OR I'd add in the Silent Hill outdoor area, both the fog version AND the nightmare version as separate variants.

For Ghost Face....I'd add in the //cashier from the trailer and a home depot style of map.

Can't think of anything else, except give maps for those that don't have one.

  • If the finishing mori thing must come into the game...then I'd very much want this 'feature' as part of it.

  • My guess is that they didn't have anything ready for this PTB or what they did have needed to be pushed back for whatever reason. So instead they decided to give us a chance to give some early feed back on what they had been working on. Which, honestly, I think is a good thing. As, from my point of view, both sides are not happy with this version of it. Since they are getting this feed back earlier than normal, they will have a better chance to make some meaningful changes. I kinda prefer it this way. The PTB giving testing not for the upcoming update but the update after that. I am all for they devs having more time to fix, change and reevaluate what needs it.

On a side note, one good thing did come out of the PTB. I am quite happy with the flashlight changes. Epilepsy runs in my family so this has me breathing a sigh of relief.

  • I remember when it was near impossible to ever catch a survivor at Cow Tree. The old design is nothing like it is today. I remember it being a long half circle with the tree in the center and a vault on each end. This was also during a time with no entity blockers and killers took a LONG time to step over a vault. I remember watching a vid of a wraith being unable to catch a Claudette due to the design. Plus, whenever he would eventually get a hit she would just get to the other side and Self Care the damage away before he could get another. The game only ended when the Claudette eventually got bored and let him kill her.
