They just need to put the activation speed back to what it was. I could count on one hand the amount of Clowns I've faced in almost 4 years before this that were good at using both bottles well together, there was a P100 TTV I played against a while back that was amazing with them, the best Clown I'd ever faced.
But now can imagine he's next to impossible for people new to the game to play against. You need pretty much perfect pathing and judgement to run him for any length of time. Something I definitely don't have after nearly 4 years so what chance do new players have?
Not just newer players, also us who are well into the 1000's of hours, and good at looping other killers are struggling against this version of the Clown, since we'd make no distance, whatsoever. I have close to 7 years of experience with the game by now.
You can win every mindgame, and still go down quickly, because you simply cannot run away once he is on to you.The only grace period you have is when he has to reload the bottles, but that downside is quickly eaten up when he throws down the next yellow after reloading. It's a lose-lose situation playing against him in this state, or at least looping against him.
The only counterplay I have seen is to use cosmetics that blends in well with the environment, play like a rat around gens, and hope he does not use Nowhere to Hide. -

Exactly. South African players and CIS players have been supporting this game for years, yet we’re still forced to play on servers that give us 200+ ms like our regions don’t even exist.
Meanwhile EU gets new servers and load-balancing improvements — great for them, but it doesn’t help the rest of us who are already two regions away from the nearest server.
All we’re asking for is fair access and a chance to play the game the way it’s meant to be played — not “predict-the-killer-swing” simulator because of latency.
Really hope Behaviour starts listening and finally expands into:
• Cape Town (Southern Africa / Indian Ocean)
• Stockholm or Budapest (CIS / Central Asia / Eastern Europe)
• Middle East (UAE/Saudi)
That alone would make such a massive difference.I'd say Helsinki would be a better location than Stockholm, since Sweden is located further west as compared to Finland. Alternately, having a server based in Turkey would probably be better for a central Asia region. Turkey is also close enough for the Middle East region, and the northeastern part of Africa to be connected to a server there, with reasonable ping (ideally less than 80 ms).

Hey, I've replied to a few comments, I can't reply to all of them, I don't want to bloat the thread too much and take away space at the top for more important posts.
But I'm grateful to each and every one of you for your replies. I've read them all and am trying to take some of the tips with me and internalize them. I also feel less bad or stupid now.
It's nice to see that in a community that's pretty toxic, there are still enough people with heart who don't try to drag you down further, but are genuinely trying to help and build someone up. Thanks guys !
Anytime. I know the community has a lot of toxicity in it. That is one reason why we often try to get custom matches going, so that we can play together as a band of friendly people from around the world. The banter alone makes it so much more enjoyable, especially if a certain Billy is going out chasing foxy Yui's. cough cough @HeroLives
And once again, you are more than welcome to join us for some friendly games :)

I can't think of any other famous horror movie villains for DBD to add.
So, I really think that a map taken from the island of the series LOST, jungle with Dharma Iniciative bases, would really be fun and different from all the other maps. Being chased by the smoke monster would be amazing, hearing its' typical noise when it is on the hunt. I know it is not a horror show but it definitely has its' scary parts.
And there are plenty of good characters on that show to add new survivors. Saeed, Sawyer, Benjamin Linus would be on top of my list, maybe Kate.
A powerful foe indeed.
Though DBD already has a "smoke monster" in the form of Dredge.
But I like the idea, considering how much I liked the series when it first aired, although Jack Shepard or John Locke would be better candidates for male survivors. Kate is definitely the main female survivor.
Though, the show is more than big enough to have a bunch of characters as legendary skins. -

These are all so wholesome. Idk if I believe you about being bad. You're certainly popular.
He really is a wholesome player. We are always having an absolute blast playing together, with friendly banter on Discord alongside @HeroLives.
Sometimes we do have to shout at him to escape because he always want to sacrifice himself for us. A genuine person, who is absolutely worthy of being "One for the people". -
I always get close to the middle part of the map. Starting in a corner is never a good idea, since it can lead to the survivors 3-genning themselves.
The best way is to do the gens in a plus sign, or as close to that as possible. Leave the corners for last. -
Looping him in wolf form is actually a lot harder than he would be in his normal form, thanks to how little he is punished for missing the dash, meaning that he could easily catch back up to you.
At least the Hellfire is more predictable, plus you can see Dracula himself a lot easier over standard height loops. Also, dodging the dash is a lot harder than dodging Hellfire.

When Dracula's chasing you, there's no ambiguity what form he's in and what that form can do. They have limitations.
Vampire mode? Okay, straight line hellfire attack. Play around that possibility; don't give him an easy shot and watch out for baits. Has a decent cooldown if he misses.
Werewolf mode? Okay, two lunge-dashes. Play around that. Use the surroundings or find a pallet for safety.
Once you learn the forms and how they work, vsing him as Survivor isn't as bad as you make it out to be. There's a difference between "strong killer with counterplay" and "Killer with no counterplay at all".

Sometimes I wish I were much better at the game, if only to be more help to newer players in soloq. But it was quite touching that they were appreciative of a For the Peopoe (the work, not me. Well.. I suppose in this case me too lol) it broke my heart to think they were new and so resigned to death 🥹

seems this was someone I played with in soloq who turned out to be my killer. Was wondering why they knew about my boons and plot twist! lol

consoles still take the backseat to pc
Absolutely. And PS5 doesn't have enough games on it for me to justify buying one. I know, optimization is legitimately difficult, but BHVR doesn't even do basic QoL things that would benefit all consoles like give us hotkey shortcuts (actually, they took a bunch away the past couple years), instead making us use the cursor as if an analog stick is the same as a mouse when it's absolutely not. Game menus, Vecna's spell menu, those things are designed for PC players only. Console was not taken into consideration. Plus, still no dead zone or response curve settings for controllers.
Oof, this isn't an optimization thread so I shouldn't go off-topic, but my main reason for posting on the DbD forums is to—politely as possible—rant in BHVR's general direction about how badly they messed up their console ports. I've been going off a lot for the past few years about how their particle effects are terrible for performance, especially on console… they just added fog grenades and the new TWD "map" is a festering dead zone of particle and lighting effects, so it's good to know that adding Bloodweb clutter and the most disappointing map ever is more important than the game functioning well. I admitted optimization is difficult, but not making it worse creating new problematic elements would be a hell of a good start.
Oh hey, actually, I can go back on topic: adding voice communication within the game would almost certainly make performance worse. Doing a simple Google search, I see players in other games complaining that performance takes a hit with in-game voice chat. There's also a possibility BHVR would need new servers dedicated to voice chat. I mean, who here thinks DbD's servers are good? Now imagine adding a new load to those servers.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3984481#Comment_3984481
My social anxiety is not why I think it shouldn't be added. I simply expanded on my personal reason for why I wouldn't use it. (Notice, I didn't say other people shouldn't use it. I said I wouldn't use it. I then thought that since I didn't give a reason, it came across as overtly negative, so I added an edit with a reason and tried to make it clear it was personal.)
I do think it would be a bad thing to add to the game, and I have multiple reasons for thinking that. For one, in terms of my experience when I would receive random chat invites, the majority of those players were young. Many, many high schoolers. Some junior high . No, that's not a surprise, but it is a point against adding voice chat to a rated M game.
I also mention in my reply to someone else (directly above my quote of your post) that voice chat would almost certainly hit performance. In a game that is already notorious for terrible performance. It would be a new load on servers that are already constantly complained about. Don't forget, when the servers have issues and players get kicked, the players also get penalized.
Another thing, players who turn voice chat off would be viewed negatively by many who do use it. It'd be nice if the effect of a feature you don't use would be neutral, but that's extremely unlikely. Players get mad about the perks teammates run, 3-mans see the random as their own personal sacrificial goat, and there are DbD players salty about people using anonymous mode. Those are things I've seen said and things I've experienced, and none make me think in-game voice chat would have a neutral effect on those players not using it.
Those are three of the reasons I think adding voice chat would have a negative impact on the game. Off the top of my head. I didn't even mention how likely it is that players would use in-game chat to be toxic, people could just mute it (unless it can't be turned off… Red Dead Redemption Online had that issue and it sucked, being forced to hear people's music poorly transmitted over their cheap mics did not enhance the experience), but it's a reason many other people give for not wanting chat added.
I have noticed that using the mic within certain games can tank performance significantly, even on PC.
As someone who used to play a lot of Counter-Strike, there was one update that completely broke the in-game voice chat for me, and caused my game to freeze for like 2-3 seconds whenever I used push to talk, which was really annoying. Even to this day, I see performance dips whenever I talk in the game. So, I can only see that problem being amplified a lot on a console, especially when factoring in the difference in hardware, and a good reason why it should not be a thing yet.
I could really see them using D-pad functionality for certain things, like Vecna's spells, which must be a pain to use with a thumbstick, or for other actions. I mean, does the game even use the D-pad for anything on consoles? If not, then there are essentially 4 buttons on the controller that serves no purpose at all.
Also, when it comes to optimizing games for consoles, I remember when PUBG came to the consoles, it was practically unplayable, thanks to the inconsistent performance. It too is built on Unreal Engine. The game ARK: Survival Evolved is another example where the optimization was terrible, even on PC. It ran like crap, no matter the settings used.
I know many consoles use a checkerboard rendering technique, to make games run smoother, as opposed to the traditional rendering method used on PC, but does Unreal Engine support that render technique?
Of course, there are settings that could be tweaked for consoles, in order to make the game run smoother. Upscaling such as AMD FSR could be useful, since it renders the game at a lower resolution and uses upscaling techniques to sharpen the image, making it appear like you are playing at the native resolution.
Some settings, from a PC player's standpoint that often tanks performance are:
* Antialiasing (image smoothing), and more specifically multi-sample antialiasing (MSAA) is much more taxing, depending on the number of frames used for reference (2x, 4x or 8x). This could be rectified with using FXAA (fast approximate antialiasing), which is much less taxing on the hardware, and does not look that much worse than 2x MSAA.
* Particle Effects - Very taxing on the CPU, depending on how many particles needing to be rendered.
* Shadows and Lighting
* Post-processing effects - Also includes certain settings for lighting and shadows. These settings are probably the most taxing settings on the graphical hardware, and are not that necessary from a gameplay perspective.
No idea what the standards are for consoles, but if it is like running the game on medium settings on a PC, I can see that it might be tough to run well on certain maps.
Speaking of which, I have noticed a huge framerate drop when playing on Nostromo, if you happen to pass through the steam vent as it goes off. -

There is no secret that dead by daylight has one of the most toxic communitys of video games, and you know this if you have more than 1k hours and you are on high mmr.
I don't know from where are you reading this, but at least here in Europe I get insults every 2 games, and as someone who has social anxiety, this is affecting me, I even was about to quit the game several times, and I don't want to because I love this game.
Why am I posting this? Because behaviour need to start banning this people, this is not healthy for the game.
And I'm not talking about an "ez" or teabags, no, I'm talking about when it's really personal. As a girl, for example, I can't tell how many times I got "sended back to the kitchen", or when they even get, not only sexist, but also racist, homophobic, or even told you to die.
I even had to start playing in anonymous mode because I even got arassed on steam for weeks and either behaviour or steam did nothing... Which I find very, very sad.
It doesn't matter which side you play, I play both, but I consider myself killer main, and it doesn't matter that I won or loose, I'm gonna get crazy salt most of the time. I don't play strong killers, tunnel or camp at any match (and I'm not here to say that is bad or anything, is astrategy, just I say it because I mean I don't play sweaty at all) I just play for fun, and I don't care if I win or loose, in fact, I become friendly most of my matches if survivors do something funny (like bardic inspiration, look at me after stun, or whatever) and the only thing I want at the end of my matches is a "gg" or maybe something else, but good... And you know when I get a nice endgame chat? Once in like 20 games...
So, please, behaviour... I'm not asking for something crazy like balance the game, buffs or nerfs... Just I want to play this game to have FUN, and I don't want to be afraid of someone telling me to kill myself in every match... You need to start banning this people because I don't think is either good for the community, or even yourselves as a company.
I think is way better to have a healthy community even if you loose a bit more of money for banning this people.Sorry if something is not written correctly, I'm not a native english speaker.
Thanks for reading, and I hope I meet more lovely people on this game♡Little edit: To the people who says that the chat can be turned off and ignore them, that's not the solution. The thing is this behaviour shouldn't be allowed ANYWHERE. And, if someone wants to deffend this, people insulting, harassing, and bullying other people, well… I can't say anything else to you.
I have 1400 hours in the game myself, and coming from Norway (which is in Northern Europe), I often times get matched with and against people who takes the game way too seriously, and loves to insult others when they have bad games, or just from nefarious intents. Don't want to come off as a jerk, but when I say that most of the insults towards either side comes from people in Eastern Europe.
I understand the frustration with the toxicity in the game, and I really wish that chat restriction could be a thing, especially if those reports were taken seriously.
PS: If you need friendly people to play with, feel free to join me and my little group who plays. If you have Discord, you are also welcome to banter with us. Limited English or not, it does not matter :) -

He was 25% faster for the past few years before this update. Why weren't you complaining, then?
Because they messed up when they made the yellow bottle activation nearly instant. It is way too easy to use, since you just throw the bottles on the ground where you need to go, and you get the speed boost right away. That is what leads to zero counterplay for the survivors.
Before, there was a significant delay to the yellow bottle mist, where it took around 2 seconds before the speed boost activated, which required you to plan ahead when using the yellow bottles.
-
I wish I took screenshots of some of my end-game chats, especially those where I just goofed off with the survivors.
But there has been one message that stood apart from the rest, which I remember well, where one survivor told me this:
"You sir really made my day. Today has been really rough, where I got camped and tunneled non-stop, but I decided to play one last match, and it was the best decision I have ever made today. Thank you for being such an awesome and fun killer"
This message came from a match I was playing as Wesker. I was serious at first, getting 8 hooks (all spread out evenly), and then I decided to just have fun with the survivors for the rest of the game, like throwing them around, off of stairs and such, and they had an absolute blast. I let them finish the gens and let them escape in the end.Note to self: Take more screenshots after wholesome games.

Regina from Dino Crisis as a Jill Valentine legendary. It was an unlockable costume in the original RE3 Nemesis.

My personal take, also inspired by the perspective of adept-hunting. Also, disregard the typo in the last tier, it is meant to say "Oh no! Do I have to?"

You don’t even need those meta builds/items/add-ons for survivor to be playable. I usually bring a brown medkit and brown add-ons and do just fine. Average escape rate 43% almost exclusively on solo queue.
When people complain that survivor is “unplayable”, its usually because of one of the two following reasons:1) they escape below the 40% solo queue average. If that’s the case, they need to improve their gameplay rather than complain. If the average is 40% that means plenty of other players are able to achieve that escape rate or higher. This isn’t meant as a “git gud” comment, it’s simply recognizing that DbD, as with any game, has a skill curve. Some are going to be on the lower end of the skill curve and be below-average players. You can’t balance a game around the low end of the skill curve because then the middle and upper end become far too powerful. SBMM in theory should fix the problem, but as we all know, that system is essentially non-functional.
2) they do escape at or above the average of 40%, but feel that they deserve to escape more often than that. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on this - I personally am totally ok escaping only 40% of the time. It’s not supposed to be easy. BHVR has to balance around both the survivor and the killer experience. I remember before killers were buffed in the 6.1patch (I think?) that survivor queues were extremely long because so few people wanted to play killer. BHVR noticed this and correctly adjusted the balance. Queue times are much more reasonable on both sides now. People will say that killer queues are still long but I only see that if I play during the day time hours, and killer queue have always been longer during that time when fewer people are playing survivor with their friends.
Yeah, I agree. You don't need meta builds to do well on survivor, if you know what you are doing.
Heck, I don't even run exhaustion perks, yet I still manage to escape around 48% of the time on average. My personal build is Blast Mine, Botany, Scene Partner and Iron Will.
Reverse gen-slowdown, increased healing speed, a fun twist on aura read, and staying silent when it matters. -

I've played killer before, but that didn't help me figure out how to improve my looping as survivor. Additionally, it led to me developing massive killer anxiety. Some survivor players were extremely cruel to me. I was bullied at school as a teenager, and being bullied online by four other players as a killer player on my own felt almost as horrible. Since then, I haven't been able to play killer, except in 2v8.
And I don't have anyone who actively plays DBD to practice with.
I was very pleased when BHVR announced they were working on killer bots for custom games, as I saw an opportunity to practice looping in a less stressful environment for me.That was ages ago now, and it seems BHVR simply abandoned this plan without informing us. :(
Myself, @HeroLives and @For_The_People are often times playing. You are welcome to join us for practicing

I'm actually not sure what I'm hoping to achieve with this post. I probably just want to vent a moment of frustration that's been slowly building up over time. Sometimes talking helps.
You're probably thinking this is going to be a rant about killers being OP and everything being so terribly unfair, but that's not it. I'm frustrated with myself. I've played the game for almost exactly 1200 hours now, and I just can't get any better at chases. The usual tips like watching good survivor players and YouTube videos don't help; as soon as I'm in a chase, I panic and forget everything I've seen others do. Learning how to run tiles (e.g., from the aforementioned videos) doesn't work either; I can't get it into my head, no matter how hard I try.
Some people with 50-100 hours last longer in chases than I do. I usually can't even last 15 seconds. At this point, I'm downright ashamed and doubt my own intelligence. Am I stupid? Why can't my brain memorize how to run tiles? Is it because I probably have ADHD? I was diagnosed with it as a child, but I don't know if it goes away in adulthood.
Actually, I can't be stupid; I passed my medical exam with an A. But as soon as I play DBD, I doubt my own IQ. At this point, I don't even know if I ever want to play the game again. Today I got to the point where I actually disconnected (forgive me) because I was so ashamed that I almost instantly get downed by every killer. It was like that back in 2021 and it is like that today, No improvement.
I like the game, but I'm not having fun with it anymore because I just can't manage to keep chases going. When I spectate my teammates, I feel even stupider. It seems like every single DBD player can loop better than me.
Sorry guys for the whining, but I felt like I just had to let it out somewhere. Feel free to ignore me. :)
Trust me, everyone has bad games from one time to another.
I know being anxious while playing is never a good thing, but like other have mentioned. If you practice with a friend, you will get better at chaining together the tiles. I'm close to 1400 hours myself, so I wouldn't say that I am well-seasoned yet, but I am getting there.
But the best tip I have for you is to actually play as the killer, against someone who loops well. That way you can easily pick up on the things they do to last longer in chases. Memorizing tiles as you traverse the map is one thing, or use Windows of Opportunity if you need the extra help with finding the best way of chaining together loops. It is also a mental game versus the killer, if you can outsmart them around the loops, giving you the break you need to get to the next loop, and so on. Once you get the hang of it, it tends to stick. Also, don't be afraid of pre-dropping pallets, in the case the killer breaks the pallet, their bloodlust counter will reset.
My personal best continous chase lasted 2 minutes and 19 seconds, while I have had longer chases that were not continous, but lasted for 5 gens. -

There's no world in which I wouldn't immediately turn it off without using it once. If there were no way to mute it, I'd either play without audio or I'd uninstall the game.
Edit: Maybe I should specify I have social anxiety. I'm not being contrarian or negative, I really really would not be able to continue playing if I were forced to have voice chat on. Every time I've tried meeting people through DbD and playing SWF, I've gotten more and more uncomfortable with each session until I started hiding my online status at all times (this was before DbD's in-game friend's list, which totally ignores PS4's online status setting and would mean even more problems). It did not help that basically any time I had any interaction with anyone from the game, they always seemed to still be in high school. Being an adult talking to someone in high school only made it more uncomfortable. I think even without social anxiety I would absolutely hate being forced into that.
You should come and banter with me and @HeroLives sometime. We don't bite

Then… you decide to play survivor:
- You play as a survivor (new player).
- You lose all your matches because you're new, but at least there are a lot of laughs because you were supposedly told this game was for fun.
- The game sees that you're losing and puts you against killers who aren't so good so you have fun and learn.
- Over time, you start to understand the game's mechanics a little better and try to take it a little more seriously.
- You start winning some games with "ties" (2 escapes).
- The game notices that you're escaping, so it's time for you to play against better killers. Better killers mean killers who only know how to tunnel, camp, and slug you. Generally, you only see broken killers (meaning the game has 40 killers, but you only see 3).
- Playing becomes annoying. There are no laughs anymore. In fact, you can't even play anymore because the killer won't let you do anything other than stay on a hook or lying on the ground. If you play soloq, this will become your hell.
- You start noticing inconsistencies, especially related to hits because many killers take advantage of their ping (100-150ms) to land fake hits, and the hitbox is all wrong from the start, so even if the game makes you believe you have a chance to turn that corner or vault that window or pallet, you don't. This starts to frustrate you.
- In the best-case scenario, someone escapes through the hatch in your matches. And at the end the killer is an anonymous person who even has the nerve to write in the chat (or send you a message) saying "ez." And of course, if you run into him again, he might even attack you, but you'll never know who he is because he has the right to remain anonymous. In fact, as a survivor, you don't have the right to know the name of the person you're playing against until the end of the match, making it impossible for you to dodge which lobby you're in. Should you copy the killer and play anonymous all the time to avoid being harassed?
- You start tryharding because there's no other way to improve. Using powerful perks, perks that killers consider "rule-breakers." ('You have Head On? Okay, I'm going to tunnel you because you used it when you were trying to escape from me'). So every time you manage to escape, obviously, even if it's not the killer's fault, you try to humiliate them because it makes you feel like you've achieved something. But in the end, it was just one more game filled with frustrations and an unbalanced game.
In the end, both playing as a killer and a survivor becomes frustrating, and you realize that much of what happens in the game isn't just due to the poorly balanced system, but also because it's surrounded by a toxic community.
I hope I've answered your question.A perfect summary of playing survivor.
I have in many cases much more fun playing killer, despite running into the odd head on, second-chance squads, because the feeling of outplaying someone who might be better than you does feel rewarding.
Pubstomping newer survivors is not fun. -
I had this happen when playing AS the killer. I was in the process of doing the finisher mori, and then suddenly, the game hung up, and gave me the "server has shut down" message afterwards.
This was the frame it froze on. I then heard the confirmation sound that the survivor was killed, and I got my achievement robbed away

Funny thing is that it only seems to be affecting PC, or rather Easy Anti Cheat being the culprit.
Steam users can log in as normal, but gets this message when loading into a match.
Epic users are completely unable to log in
Note: Consoles are NOT affected by this -
I never saw any posts about this "event" until now

Are you talking about Bloodpoints or Emblem points? The advice for maximizing either of those is a bit different. Like, with Bloodpoints, you earn garbage for working on a gen alone and a lot more for working on a gen with someone else. However, for Emblem points, I've found that I'm better off working on gens alone if I'm trying to get a pip, because working on a gen co-op eats into my own Lightbringer score.
The common denominator is efficiency. Work on gens as much as you can, or rescue others when needed, but always try to be as efficient as possible while doing so.
And remember, there are other ways to earn points in certain categories. If you are being chased by the killer for example, you get a lot of points towards your badges, depending on the length of the chase, plus you get a lot of boldness BP.
A lot of killer interactions also contributes to your Survival score. -
Never had an easier time getting an adept achievement though.
I didn't play Clown beforehand, aside from a few matches testing him out like way before the changes.
But man oh man.. I felt so bad for the survivors in the game, that I had to write an apology in the end-game chat. They had no chance of making ANY distance on me, despite running Lithe and such. -

I totally hear the frustration here and know I personally can't change how these nerfs feel for you, but I do want to make sure the feedback I'm bringing back to the team is as specific as possible and as representative of your experiences in the game as possible. With that, it makes it easier to advocate for changes.
If you don't mind me pulling this back a step to dig into the details, I'd like to ask two specific questions:
1. Of the two recent nerfs to Fog Vials (reduced opacity; max 2 charges), do you feel that one of these in particular pushed the item from feeling viable to feeling like it's not worth using? If so, which was it?
2. If you could make one specific change to Fog Vials that'd push them towards being an item you'd enjoy using, what would it be?
I hear the more general feedback (and rest assured, it's being collected and shared with the team), but if there are specific facets of the recent nerfs that felt most impactful, I want to make sure I'm giving them my particular attention. That, and things that could make Fog Vials feel better for you (like the great suggestions of increasing the total charges a little more). The core problem is that the opacity changes and the 1 minute cooldown is still present despite the significant nerf, going from infinite uses to just two lousy charges.
- They were semi-viable before the charges got added, but not particularly good.
With the limited charges however, in the current state, this item group is not even worth spending bloodpoints on.
2a. If you revert the opacity changes, then 2 charges is a fine amount, as the item will be much less used within the trials, since it cannot be spam-used. But if you keep the opacity changes, then the charge amount needs to be doubled, and the cooldown reduced to 45 seconds.
2b. As for the add-ons, the iridescent one needs to be MUCH stronger if the charges stay the same. Give it two additional charges - if the charges stays, plus an increase in opacity, and taking away the current downside of reducing the smoke duration. The downside should be that the cooldown timer between each charge increases to 90 seconds.
The cooldown reducing add-on should be changed to "Adds one extra charge" instead.
- They were semi-viable before the charges got added, but not particularly good.

Increase Bloody Party Streamers to purple rarity, which will counterintuitively make it appear more because it will have less items in the pool to compete with.
And while you're at it, increase the bonus of the Bound Envelope to +50% BP for everyone, and make it purple too.
I'm more in favor of removing the weaker personal offerings, and rework the Escape Cake / Survivor Pudding into a stackable +50% instead. Sharing is caring after all
Another thing that definitely needs to be added in as QoL, is a way to add a "priority filter" to the bulk spending feature, so that you can specify what the automatic point distribution should prioritize (BPS, certain add-ons or items etc.), since by default it is set to prioritize closest to the center node, and "cheapest cost"
-
@HeroLives said:
I wish they would bump up the bloody party streamer count. It’s my favorite offering, and sharing is caring.
Sharing is definitely caring my friend.
We need some good answers to why BPS are so rare, as compared to any other item/offering in the game. -
They practically doubled the amounts from the first iteration to this one.
I especially remember the challenges for survivor being 55 escapes at level 10 (now it is 110), and healing a total of 275 health states at level 10 (now it is 550) -

Id say its not completely off the table, but Id rather not speculate for... reasons...
(if you know you know)
Well, considering that the final ST season is due to release in November, I would not completely brush it off.
Plausible I'd say. -

The survivor bloodwebs have become a junk pile. Killer ones are fine though.
Yeah, they are overloaded with junk at the moment. There needs to be a bloodweb cleanup soon

I've been getting pretty much zero fog vials in my p100s bloodweb so it's not that. Mostly I'm getting add-ons for things. It's like for each item you get 20 add-ons.
I forgot to add that to my original post.
All those damn add-ons, for stuff you rarely use -

If they're priorities were killer I'm sure we wouldn't have skull merchant in their current state, and as for the survivor experience not being valued well isn't there going to be some big survivor quality of life changes coming soon?
What we really need aside from just survivor / killer QoL changes is an overhaul of maps. Most of the recent maps has been pretty well balanced, in terms of size and tile-variety. Maps that you can play well as survivor, or as the killer. That is what I mean.
But then you get the problematic ones, like Coldwind Farm, Haddonfield, Borgo, Badham Preschool, Eyrie etc. Maps that swing too much to one side or the other.
Maps that are way too small, especially when considering the kinds of killers we have in the game. Killers with crazy mobility, who can get from one side to the other in a matter of a few short seconds.
Or maps that are on the larger side, which slower M1 killers struggle with.
There has to be better consistency in map sizes.
Also, the clear ambience allows for way too long sightlines in some cases. -

I've seen some numbers online but I have no idea how accurate they are. I think it said Sable was the most popular and it's 70% female characters but idk. I'd love to see something official.
Female survivors are physically smaller, so that might be the main reason behind that. You can say that it is an advantage from a hider's perspective

The offerings do need an overhaul, but I wouldn't say get rid of them entirely. I would say just keep the escape cake/Survivor pudding and Bloody Party Streamers and get rid of everything else, but idk, I feel like that could open another new can of worms.
As for "making offerings that actually do something," what would you have these offerings do?
I have a few times offered an idea of how to change the offerings to the better, and to de-clutter the bloodweb. Let's face it, most of us bring BP offerings anyways.
Now, for the fun part: This is what I would have personally changed about offerings.Bloodpoint offerings:
Retired: All personal +50% and +75% single category offering, the personal +25% all category offerings and the Bound Envelope.
Reworked: Escape Cake / Survivor Pudding - Now offers a stackable 50% bonus to all players in the trial.
New: Foggy Party Poppers - Adds a stackable 2.5x multiplier to all Bloodpoint gains for that match (up to 12.5x if all players bring one)Rarity changes:
Brown: Personal +100% single category offerings, Escape Cake and Survivor Pudding
Yellow (or green with the new look): Bloody Party Streamers
Iridescent (Red): Foggy Party PoppersSpawn-logic offerings
Retired: Scratched Coin / Tarnished Coin, basement altering offerings, the lesser Oak offerings, and every Shroud offering.
New: Shipping Pallet (secret - survivor) - Alters the spawn logic to guarantee one additional safe pallet loop.
Pallet Splinters (secret - killer) - Alters the spawn logic to remove one safe tile from the trial.Rarity changes:
Yellow (green): Hatch-spawn offerings
Green (blue): Cut Coin / Shiny Coin
Purple: Shipping Pallet, Pallet SplintersOther offerings
Retired: Map offerings, Sacrificial Ward, personal Luck offerings. Clear Reagent, Hazy Reagent, Faint Reagent and Ivory Memento Mori.
New/Returning: New Moon Boquet - Turns daytime to nighttime - Does not affect realms that are already set at night
Sunny Day Boquet - Turns nighttime to daytime - Does not affect realms that are already set at daytime or dusk/dawn.
Rainy Day Boquet - Adds more ambient fog and a rainy ambience.
Thundering Boquet - Adds severe rain and a thunderstorm ambience.Rarity changes:
Brown: Salt Pouch (+1% unhook chance). Murky Reagent (adds 75% more black mist)
Yellow (green): Black Salt Statuette (+2% unhook chance).
Green (blue): Vigo's Jar of Salty Lips (+3% unhook chance). Rainy Day Boquet.
Purple: Sunny Day Boquet, New Moon Boquet
Iridescent (Red): Thundering BoquetEvent Offerings
All unchanged.

Doctor + Distressing. Larger TR means easier to hit his Static Blast
-
Doctor.
The one thing I would like is to give his shock therapy longer range at basekit value. It is too short to reach around loops at base.
Therefore, giving him the Polished Electrode (+4 meters) as basekit would be a good QoL change.@drag27 said:
The Nemesis
- Whipping Generators: Tier 2/3 Tentacle Whip should damage Generators as if they were kicked
- Shattered S.T.A.R.S Badge (add-on change): 150% increase movement speed for zombies are always active
- Survivor Zombification (new added mechanic): If a survivor dies by any means while contaminated they will respawn as an additional Zombie they can control , if they choose to leave they will not receive DC Penalty and will be replace with a zombie Bot. (survivors controlling zombies can earn additional BPs for Zombie events: Attacking survivors, bodyblocking Nemesis/other survivors or feeding Nemesis mutation), vaccine chests respawn.
- Iridecent Umbrella Badge (add-on rework): Nemesis starts the trial at Tier 3 Mutation but zombies no longer spawn (excluding Zombified Survivors)
- Cerberus and Licker add-ons: add-ons that turn zombies into these enemy types. Maybe the licker has increased detection range or can detect based on sound (running, grunts of pain, vaulting) while having long range attack but moves slowly on the ground/walls/ceiling). Cerberus could attack like Houndmaster's Dog, holding them in place and despawning after survivor knocks them off.
- Zombie Mori: If a zombie is nearby a survivor in the dying state Nemesis can hit a button prompt for the zombie to mori the survivor without nemesis having to be near (survivor controlled zombies can also mori survivors by walking up to downed survivor and hitting the "kill" prompt).
Haha, I would LOVE to become a zombie survivor. That would actually make playing against Nemesis kinda fun

I don't get what you mean. Are you asking what benefit the vial is supposed to be providing? I was just giving insight for how it obstructed the view, since I couldn't see the shack you mentioned to identify it. You seemed to be able to see forever so I figured the perspective might be helpful.
I think @HeroLives is referencing to the fact that maps has been smaller, which is also limiting survivors in many ways.
But to the topic on hand. From my perspective, I was clearly able to see through the smoke in certain scenarios. Only way that the smoke did obscure anything was when you were (as a killer) standing outside of the smoke radius. As soon as you enter the threshold of the smoke, you are able to see through it now. -

You spell everything out so much more peasantly and more conscise than just about everyone and you just get a random downvote.
Not to get off topic here, but I have noticed that too.
Anyways, back to the fog vials -

sigh my favorite item lasted only a few days. really loved the stealth builds and added more styles of play or fun to the game whats the point of a useless item?
I think the only purpose left in the item is to use it as a "portable" Distortion perk, to conceal your aura.

Clown with Stbfl / Rapid.
Ghoul with Bamboozle / Dissolution.
Doctor with Distressing / Coulrophobia / Unnerving and teammates who still want to heal.
Distressing is only there to free up the add-on slots on Doc. But I agree that the Coulrophobia / Unnerving (impossible skillcheck healing) build is very over-used.
I on my hand use Distressing, Agitation, Brutal Strength and Dead Man's Switch, which is quite effective -

Rip if you get the postage stamp maps against mobility and blood favor and friends till the end.
Amen to that.

While minor bugs like the survivor perks are nothing too special, the true problems arise when people start abusing (exploiting) these bugs to their advantage. That is why the kill-switch was a necessary action, to prevent exploits.
And come on, don't you think a toolbox with 300 charges is a little overkill?

Thank you, Yes. I haven't seen such back lash over a kill switch before, a lot was not happy, it was brushed off, my point was was it worth the negative comments, and peepstalking of it,no it wasn't when other should I say killer switches get turned off instantly. There wasn't a response by the mod to explain the whole what is the rules to kill switch was a politicians response
-
Another example. Me and @HeroLives were testing the fog vials post nerf.
This is from my perspective, and you can still make out the Sable, standing in the smoke. This is also with the iri add-on -
Try running the "I have wallhacks on the Killer" build
- Wiretap - Complete a gen to 40% to set up a Wiretap on that gen. That gives you permanent aura reading within a 14 meter radius of the gen. Tip: Repair one gen to 40% and then you go and tap another (so that it does not make any sounds), then set up Wiretap on the unsuspecting generator.
- Alert - Every time the killer breaks something, you get a 5-second aura read on them. This includes breakable walls, pallets and generators.
- Fogwise - If you are good at hitting great skillchecks while repairing generators, this perk is amazing. Gives you a 5-second aura read on the killer for every great skill check you hit.
- Eyes of Belmont - Increases your aura reading time by an additional 2 seconds.
- Alternate perk (for Fogwise): Scene Partner - While within the killers terror radius, you scream when looking at them, and then revealing their aura for 2 seconds, every time you scream (this can repeat up to 8 times).
Note: This build is completely useless against Undetectable killers, such as Tier 1 Myers, Ghost Face (in power) and Wraith (cloaked), or any killer perks that grant Undetectable.

Commodius with socket swivels did not speed up the gen to infinity when I stacked it.
Can confirm that it isnt stacking addons.
Don't know if it was a side-effect of also using Ace in the Hole, but the gen-speed looked a lot faster than it should have
