Nobody asked for that killer. Literally no one. And I hate her. Just another anti loop killer that has very little map pressure, and promotes an unhealthy play style.

Whereas the other playstyle is just run in loops around a pallet/vault until you get hit or drop the pallet in a time-crunch meta where the Killer screwing up a mind-game can cost them enough time to finish a gen.
Makes ya wonder what exactly would be considered a healthy Killer design...

What about Nurse, Legion, Twins, and Huntress? Heck, I don't even think Plague fits in with the others you mentioned.

Surge used to on release actually cause a noise notification when the gen a survivor was working exploded. Then one patch it just mysterious went away.
I remember using it as an alternative to Infectious Fright on Ghostface.
All I know is that the fourth perk slot for the Taxi build is now locked in for sure.
-
Surge has no excuse now.
-
I certainly do. I get that it's really difficult for an asymmetrical game to achieve balance, but surely it can do better than this.
-
The best I would suggest is making it so Survivors can voluntarily insta-die on the ground if they've been slugged for 2+ minutes total (i.e. the same amount of time it takes for a Survivor to be sacrificed in a single hook).

On average? Zero.

Streamline the perk-acquiring process. As-is, I feel actively disincentivized to unlock teachables because they clog the bloodweb and make the perks I actually want harder to obtain.

Yeah, it kinda does, because it can be stacked with Ruin and Pop. Ruin and Pop are the reason all other genregression perks are weak and have cooldowns.
I would gladly see all genregression perks being buffed massively if it also nerfs Ruin and Pop
Make it so it doesn't affect gens that are already regressing.
Boom, now it's safe to remove cooldown and basic attack requirement.

Those 5% might not be exact, but they must be pretty close to reality, hence the reason why DbD doesn't disclose this distribution.
Whenever I play killer and the survivors are solo, almost always I get 4k (or 3k with the hatch) unless something out of ordinary happens. When I play against SWF, I only get kills if they make huge mistakes AND I sweat my guts out. Almost all of my losses as the killer with only a few exceptions happen when I play against SWF, and the same goes for many other players.
"but they must be pretty close to reality"
What do you base this on?
-
I mean, in my opinion, I like everything about Trickster except the gameplay design, which also happens to be the most important part of a video game.

If you're getting bad killers at "high mmr" maybe you're not actually at high mmr.. food for thought, yeah?
Depends, I would say. If you are winning a lot more than you are losing, then you are probably in high MMR. If you are winning a handful of times and then losing a handful of times back and forth, you are probably only winning in the low MMR matches.

This isn’t far-fetched. I’ve spoke with Pig mains in the past on here & they have always disagreed with this strategy simply stating it was pointless. I do know that she was changed a bit in last patch so maybe there is a need for it now? Idk, thats why I’m asking.
But meh.
Not really. The only changes she got were to her add-ons, and none of them made hard tunneling a Trapped Survivor a good idea.
-
I'm mainly bothered because a mechanically unique character is now no longer obtainable, resulting in a divide between older players and newer ones that can't be closed.

I do think that is alright, but I don't think that the hatch was any worse then that. I think both were justified I don't understand why they wouldn't leave both in, they're pretty much the same
Not saying I think Tombstone Myers is fine, but both Tombstone add-ons inflict an actual penalty to Myers by increasing the amount of stalking he needs to do to reach Tier 3. The Hatch/Key may have a condition to it, but it has zero downsides.

It's not 'near useless' just because you can't slap a mask on someone and have them die completely at random.
Reducing the top end of RBT stall does screw over the RBTs. Losing the potential to kill someone with them sucks too, but that's not the important thing about the Traps.
-
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2610691#Comment_2610691
But in compensation, you never lose a mask to first box anymore.
And hell, if the slowdown should be made immediate, just remove the 'finish a gen' requirement.
Not losing a mask to the first box is very much appreciated, but it is not worth having the Reverse Bear Trap lose its teeth IMO. If anything, making the first box auto-fail is just an improvement I think the Pig should have now because of how badly the Pig is hurt when that happens, not a consolation for making the RBTs near-useless.
I am personally against reducing the average amount of stall the Pig gets as base kit, and I'm not sure anything would change my mind on that, not even making the timer auto-start.
-
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2609748#Comment_2609748
It's not an immediate breathing room, but the extra time is the same.
And that's assuming you didn't get unlucky and they took it off, first try.
The delay in being granted the stall can realistically be the difference between undoing the progress the Survivors made and giving them a checkpoint that safeguards that progress (i.e. you can't regress a gen that's finished). You want to slow them down as soon as possible, and disincentivizing having Survivors immediately jump on the boxes runs contrary to that.
-
"give us an option to kill our teammates / sacrifice a teammate on a hook cuz"
Yes. Let's do this one. There is nothing that can go wrong with this one.
-
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2609461#Comment_2609461
Does that make much of a difference? You still have to get that trap off, if you ignore it, you still die.
You just don't die to rancid RNG.
Yes because it is far more likely to push back the time it takes for the stalling to kick in until AFTER the gen is already done. Putting on the Trap would no longer immediately give you breathing room.

Honestly while they definitely put some effort into the presentation oni and deathslinger are both infinitely better representations of their respective areas imo
I disagree.
-
BHVR clearly put more effort into this one presentation-wise and does not want it to go to waste. I think that is a very reasonable stance.
-
There's no reason to stop doing gens until your timer starts if you know you never have to search four boxes.
-
@Firellius said:

This sounds so stupid...
I hate this about Pig's design, there's so many obvious flaws that are pretty easy to adress.
It should never have been total RNG. Just make a mask take between 2 and (total boxes -1) to clear. Neither side can get completely screwed with bad RNG that way.
The easiest way to make Reverse Bear Traps not worth respecting is to make it guaranteed take less than four boxes to remove.

Once it's activated it's activated. You don't lose chases that easily, if the survivor is near even on the other side of a wall.
Terror radius takes place in a chase.
If it's so counterable being undetectable, how do they know in which direction you're going when behind a wall?
They don't, simply.
Most of the situations where you can see over a pallet are mindgamable, mostly.
So if it's a god pallet you break it, if it's a classic mindgamable pallet you mindgame it with skill and prediction, if it's a big thick long wall jungle gym you use beast of pray once they forced you to at least bloodlust 1 using the window.
With the new jungle gyms introduced "recently"( actually it's been a while now lol), even there there is always the same trick of changing direction you can pull off
You don't lose chases that easily, but that doesn't mean that you'll be in a good position to use it when you activate it. What are you going to do then, wait it out in a single chase and lose gens in the process? The effect is not bad in a vacuum, but IMO you severely underestimate how restricted the perk is by being tied purely to bloodlust.
-
@Leonardo1ita said:

If you can see over a pallet, with most pallets (unless it's Cowshed or The Game), most of these pallets are unsafe of half unsafe, that you can mindgame.
If you can't see over a side of a tile loop structure, usually that loop pallet is "safe" not really if you use Beast of prey
That doesn't really address the problem of what I'm saying. You don't get to choose when Beast of Prey goes online. When you do get it to trigger, you gotta hope that you're in a position where you can take advantage of it. If you aren't, your options are to either let it go to waste or deliberately wait until a situation for you to use it comes up (neither of which are good).
-
To my understanding, the problem with Beast of Prey is not the actual ability but the condition needed to trigger it. Tying the trigger entirely to Bloodlust means that you have zero control over where and when it happens, which can realistically lead to many cases of you having zero use for the Undetectable status effect.
-
Legion IMO. It's the one whose execution is just exceedingly flat and has nothing to do with anything pertaining to the character.

The sheer absurdity that this perk is better than POP in every way basically and the devs didn't realize it.
Free 30 second pauses up to 120 seconds in addition to the time Corrupt buys then tag on the time needed to cleanse the totems if it was attempted.
Literally able to just face camp the ENTIRE match and have enough time to do so. LOL
Not that hard to just do another gen while Deadlock is active. It doesn't stop the second furthest gen, after all.
-
I find it weird that you insist that Deadlock is a broken perk but only mention it in passing otherwise.

On paper, Hex perks have individually stronger effects, but the Boon perks' reusability makes their consistency vastly outclass Hex perks' consistency.

I know that BHVR has already betrayed us once before recently, but it has been revealed that at least some of the dev team were not informed of the NFT decision until after it was announced. So taking on that stance, they are innocent.
I'll say that the individuals who were unaware of the NFTs get a pass.

but it's acquired for free. And so anything you buy with shards was acquired for free. If you're not spending your real money on it, you got it free.
If you have to spend a currency on it, it is not completely free. It just means that you did not have to spend real money to acquire said currency.

i'm just going to leave this here.
That does not mean a game can't be balanced. Ya just gotta try to make the four on one side collectively as close to balanced compared to the one on the other side as possible.
-
John's Medical File. Bring back the old one and make the new one base kit.
-
I don't find that necessary. I think the EGC as-is is pretty good. If they did change it to starting when the Exit Gates are powered, they'd have to increase the timer by a good amount.
-
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
I want people to play at their max potential against me. I won't learn to improve otherwise.

We talkin' like Saw-levels of gore, or the kind of gore associated with a hard-R action film or something?
