Yeah, I feel like hackers in games play to gain an advantage, not to sit there and break $500+ dollars worth of technology.
I'm not saying that these recent claims are true or false, but I would not say that "people who cheat in games" and "people who intentionally try to brick someone else's device" are mutually exclusive. It's more a matter of "is it possible to do so through entirely in-game means?" Note that we've had a very confirmed case of PS4s being bricked through the messaging system, so it is at the very least hypothetically possible to brick someone else's game console at all.

Most slasher movies are about a killer terrorizing a group of people, often picking them off one by one. Halloween Kills doesn't really have that. Michael kills entire groups of people in a single scene like he's John Wick or something.
The main narrative of Halloween Kills is the way Michael Myers is affecting Haddonfield. The people become obsessed with him, turning their fear into a "kill the beast!" tunnel vision. The way he affects the town goes beyond the murder of a person or person(s) and becomes mass hysteria. Like I said in my first post, many of the scenes are loud and feature large groups of people. It's not much of a slasher movie, more like an action movie with horror window dressing.
Hm...I see. That is an interesting way to describe. Thank you very much for your insight.

I watched Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills last night. I liked Halloween. I didn't like Halloween Kills.
Halloween Kills is full of annoying dialogue/sermonizing, forced characters, ridiculous setups, and other such nonsense that exist to push a narrative that could have been interesting if it had been written competently. That's my own opinion, though.
It's not really much of a slasher movie despite Michael killing. Many scenes are loud and contain large groups of people. A lot of it feels and/or looks like it was written to appear in the movie's trailer.
Halloween Kills is not like any other Halloween movie or even any other slasher movie I can think of, so there's really nothing to go by in terms of whether or not you'll like it.
Halloween Kills is not like...any other slasher movie I can think of
Can you elaborate on this part for me, if it isn't too much trouble? How is Halloween Kills different from other slasher movies?

3k wins for Killer. 1k wins for Survivor. 2k is a draw.
-
Disagree.
I think six RBTs + four boxes are about as good as five RBTs + five boxes.
I don't think new Last Will is worth using with anything other than new Workshop Grease.
New Video Tape + Rules Set No. 2 I think might actually be worth using, so I'll give you that.
Her add-ons, for the most part, are either about as good/bad as they were before, slightly better, or slightly worse. She has roughly the same number of trash add-ons (and in fact, a lot of her trash add-ons remain untouched). For all the changes they made, it doesn't really seem to amount to any major shift for Pig.
-
I am not spending my bloodpoints to actively level up someone else because the Survivor I currently play as can no longer use X and/or Y perk.

I dont think BHVR would get to the point of killswitching perks because anyone asks for them but I do think people would spam the forum with "disable this, disable that", half the post in this forum are already "nerf this, nerf that" and "BHVR Killer/Survivor sided".
In this case I believe they should just make an announcement on the News section of the game for everyone to see and call it a day, even if the addon bugs sometimes and doesnt kill, some people may be curious about how it works, most Jigsaw players should have a ton of them since its a conversion from the VHS yellow one (I have 80 of them, I can afford to throw away some of them if Im curious about how the game flows with 4 traps from the start).
Eh, forumgoers complain about anything. I don't see why that should matter.

On top of what Mandytalk and Jesterkind say take on account if they killswitch this people will ask to killswitch something else, if they do then something else then someone will start asking to killswitch stuff they find obnoxius (certain perks and Killers) because they found a bug that only happened to them but they dont have logs or videos about said gamecrashing bug but "trust me it happend, ok?".
Imagine all the threads about "killswitch Spirit", "killswitch NOED", "killswitch Dead Hard", "killswitch tbagging at the Gates" etcetcetc
I don't really think the slippery slope argument applies here. This isn't asking for something annoying/unfun to be disabled. It's asking for something very noticeably bugged to be disabled.

Yesterday I played a match on de Dead Dawg Saloon, and the survivor that left the game alive, did it with a RBT active on her head, but she told me she removed it, but it was bugged and, i believe her, so the RBT fulfilled its purpose, to delay the game, to make the survivors search on the jigsaw boxes. There were not headpops, but as pig, with the little strength she has, anything that delays the match is a good thing, so i think it hasn't been kill switched because of it works, even when it's not working.
Doesn't that mean that the Traps are detrimentally bugged for Survivors because they are stuck in place for the Killer to find them?

12 kWh is way off.
But even using your incorrect number, that's 12 x 32 = 384 kWh! By your own admission 335.86 kWh more than the average NFT transaction.
A mere 200 T Shirts? 2,400 kWh!
We need to focus our efforts on the T Shirts.
Do you add your name to the list?
You have yet to add your own name to the list. Looks like your own initiative is a bust when you can't even practice what you preach.

How does the addon not work?
I am not sure if this is specifically the add-on being bugged or not, but I've seen at least one video with the add-on where an RBT's timer never expired and the person wearing it was able to leave through the gate with the Trap still on (though it does not seem to affect all RBTs, as another Trap did snap in the same video).
-
This is the video game equivalent of one person doing all the work for a group presentation at school.

More points, better emblem score, I think increase in MMR rating?

Yall missing the point of proper language context. Without additional inference or reference, this challenge is poorly worded for what is actually being asked. That should be simple enough for you to understand.
There's no argument here, not sure what you're being defensive about. Have a great day.
It's being asked to stay alive while four other people leave. That is what you have to do. You are correct in that there is no argument to be had because the challenge is worded correctly.

@PalletsAndHooks said:

That's inference from another challenge, which is still piss poor language context for this specific challenge. It's worded poorly.
I don't see how inference means it's worded badly. You should know how challenges work, and if you don't, now you do.

Very poor language context if that's the case.
Survive while another survivor escapes the trial four times. You must blah blah blah while they blah.
Challenges will specifically mention if they need to be completed in the span of a single trial, do they not?
-
Ngl, our half of the event sounds pretty lame. Just a charm?

The issues people have with this are more moral ones than practical ones that actively impact the game.

I think a cooldown that increases with each consecutive bless is good enough.

People literally can spawn right next to Jigsaw boxes lmao what do you mean not before that? Are you seriously downplaying this?
I didn't say that such a thing wasn't possible. But to say that Jigsaw Boxes as a whole are easy to find when you can't see the auras is not accurate IMO.

@KingFrost said:
Huge Pig Buff, though: Hatch no longer spawns until there's one survivor left. Meaning that people with active traps can't just wait at the hatch for their team to leave.
I'd rather have the Hatch spawn at 5 gens completed if it meant trap timers auto-started again once all the gens were done.
-
I imagine that whoever typed that is screaming it at the top of their lungs hoping that it might convince Gabe Newell to stop breaking down the door with a Steam-branded sledgehammer. :P

OP can't actually demonstrate that a significant portion of the people who said they'd quit went back on it. Nothing to see here.

Clearly you dont plsy pig. I dont say that in a mean way.
But play 1 or 2 match with video tape and set rule and you will see that 2 traps will be remove in about 30 seconds to 50 seconds and no.traps will be activated before a gen is done
I play almost only Pig.
-
I'll still use it on Pig to catch someone at a Box. ;)

@Princesse_nico said:

No this is easy to remove. Survivor starts with jigsaw box on their side and it is not hard to find. Just had a match where 2 traps where removed in 40 seconds..
Even if a gen pop the other must have a least searched for 2 or 3 box so they will find the key.
Its better to set traps one by one when a gen is about to pop
Again, not before the timer starts. That's why the correct move against RSN2 is to just do gens until the timer starts.
-
@Princesse_nico said:
No this is not a corrupt. Even with set rule 2, they can easily find the box, while you chase one survivor they remove all traps. The game is slowed for like 30 seconds and you lost all possibility.of activation a trap.
8 traps would be just fine and a real iri add on
"Even with set rule 2, they can easily find the box"
Maybe after the timer starts, but not before that.
-
Just use it with Rules Set No. 2.
-
That only matters if the Killer is running any Hex perks.
-
Weird how this only works on some one-shotters but not others.

they posted on twitter a few days ago saying they had no involvement with any NFTs. That they gave them (BossProtocol) the assets for Pinhead from DBD to them. And they can do with those assests as they like. Then now they say they were working with BossProtocol to make special assets specifically for the NFTs, and they openly endorse them.
Gotcha. Thank you.

I'm not really emotionally invested in the whole "think of the nature!" side of the argument, but I still have to admit that this level of corporate deceit is deserving of all the hate it's getting and more.
I promise you I am not trying to start an argument. I think NFTs are a ripoff at best. But I do have to ask for clarification (I had a real bad day today unrelated to any of this, so I am not thinking at 100% clarity atm): What deceit are you (and I assume others) referring to?

And you're saying this is a quick method to regain control of the map?
If Survivors don't counterplay it, yeah.
-
I'll be the one to say it: I don't think Pig's add-on pass benefits her very much. I don't think it completely screws her over or anything (despite what some people who swear by Crate + Timer might argue), but it didn't really do anything huge to help her either IMO.
-Five add-ons that are trash remain untouched (the four add-ons that inflict status conditions to anyone wearing an RBT + Amanda's Secret)
-Two add-ons that were trash before and re-worked entirely are still trash (Interlocking Razor and Razor Wire)
-Annotated Plan has an extremely unnecessary downside (it is strictly worse than the original Last Will unless two gens pop in the time it takes for someone to take off a single RBT)
-The new Last Will is not usable without the new Workshop Grease (which is identical to the Old Video Tape). I will admit that I could be wrong on this one, but that is my impression.
There are definitely some benefits to the changes that I should mention:
-The new Video Tape UR is better than Rules Set No. 2 was at UR
-Rules Set No. 2 (which is now a Rare) actually synergizes quite well with new UR Video Tape and new Jigsaw's Sketch
-Amanda's Letter got a buff (and also removed some really stupid cheese), even if I personally think it has further room to be buffed
-Bag of Gears got a buff
I'd say the net gain to Pig with these new changes is pretty small (which is at least something, to be fair) compared to how many changes she got.

How long does it take to fully repair a generator
One minute and twenty seconds, assuming one person, no abilities/items augmenting repair speed, and hitting every skill check with zero great skill checks.

Quickly? It takes something like 3 mins to die on a hook
Two minutes, and as far as accomplishing the goal of killing Survivors, two minutes is quite fast.

Camping being a strategy that can favor the killer is subjective all the same. I asked if you would provide me some objective reasons for camping being a legitimate strategy.
Reducing the number of living Survivors quickly slows down the rate at which gens can be finished, which can give the Killer a significant amount of breathing room to defend the gens from there.
-
He can also throw his machete like Hadoukens and will be revived with a sliver of health if he is KO'd. :P
-
Mainly for the Hatch change to finally put a pin on multi-man key escapes before all the gens are done.
-
Wasn't it said that the achievement would be changed to just using a key to escape? Or am I misremembering?

Ah, the Death Wish build. Very bold.
-
I'm okay with being seen as a tryhard. If I wanted to goof around, I'd play a different game. Heck, sometimes I'm called a tryhard (or even a cheat) while using Mad Grit. If that doesn't tell me that what my opponent thinks of me doesn't matter, then nothing will.
-
Because BT doesn't synergize with No Mither.
-
You know, now that I understand how the whole stance thing works (namely that Myers's open/closed hand is not tied to his Tombstone add-ons but rather his speed), I actually do think it's time to look at the Tombstone add-ons. The whole "jump into a locker" thing no longer applies to Judith's Tombstone because now there is no longer an obvious tell in Tier 2 that warns you about Judith's Tombstone, and as it turns out, it never applied to Tombstone Piece in the first place (because you can just 99 while in Tier 2 and then wait until you close the distance to fire up EW3 and go in for the kill).
Maybe an add-on that lets you immediately kill a Survivor unconditionally by fulfilling a requirement isn't a healthy add-on. :P
-
@Mistakesweremade said:
This is the DBD paradox. This game is just not meant to be played competitively yet many people seem to treat it like high level League of Legends or something. Like, jesus christ man, chill, how is repairing all gens in 5 minutes fun at all?
Fact: If it is a game, there will inevitably be people who try to be the best at it. To deny this is to deny reality.

I think she might be an exception as she gets nice value out of Hex perks, but Corrupt is still very good on her imo.
Currently, I am running Pop + BBQ + Lethal Pursuer + Corrupt. Corrupt does nothing for me unless I can start the chase ASAP.
