How so from what I've heard and seen the traps suck either so what difference is it if pigs base kits is still garbage at times.
Because the add-on you are describing got BETTER, not WORSE. You are objectively wrong here.

They don't let you start with 2 it got reduced from -3 to -2 which again like everything else now doesn't do much when you the actual issues such as the fact that pig is an m1 killer type playstyle in a game that heavily frowns that atm.
That's still a buff. Pig did not get nerfed this update.
-
I do not like your changes to the RBTs. I can't imagine that "extremely difficult" would be hard enough to stop competent players from getting RBTs off in one try consistently.

I mean, this is the first time we've had a tome for a non-free licensed IP (since L4D was free, it don't count). It could have been up in the air.

Me too! I'm less bothered about the coat and weapon but I really want the mask. It's super cool.
Welp, time to roll up my sleeves and start tackling the battle pass tonight so that I eventually get far enough that I can just buy into the premium track and get all three pieces at once.

Yeah the outfit is in the paid track.
The body is in tier 1, weapon in tier 36 and head in tier 68.
Dammit. And the head is the piece I want the most.

The render I saw looked good to me (weird posture aside), but I haven't seen it in-game.

First of all no need to be an ass about it secondly I'm asking cause pig got nerfed again just before the tome so again unless you are someone who enjoys the saw franchise but dismisses that the game for it is a broken shitshow now I will ask again do you think it will be worth it to try and go though this tome and get the stuff that the devs are trying to say is worth a #########.
Both pig changes were buffs, not nerfs. Her Last Will had its charge time penalty softened, and Amanda's Letter lets you start with 2 RBTs now instead of only one.

I believe the extra distance on command is actually the main reason why Dead Hard is generally considered the best exhaustion perk.

You can basically take the game hostage and not only win, but force the killer to AFK or DC. With a little bit of coordination, it's literally impossible to hook anyone or keep them slugged.
Until this is fixed, as well as the ridiculous disparity in BP gains from the new event (which honestly needs to be retrospective for me to be happy about any changes made now, survivors get double what the killer does, if not more) I'm honestly not at home to any balance complaints from survivors right now.
That may sound mean, but it is what it is.
That's what you think. ;)

Amanda's Letter: Decreses availiable Brear Traps by 2 (was 1)
Are we both interpreting this the same?
Last Will your correct about Last Will actually.
Clown is nerfed overall
It means Letter only takes away two RBTs instead of three like it originally did. Granted, that part is poorly written.

Sure, but referring to Valik's post, it's not a case of the developers getting to her, it's a case of they already have got to her and what they chose to do was add-on updates.
Fair point. I was just disappointed by the add-on update.

Pig got add-on pass in 5.3.0 and now in 5.5.0 a major buff to 2 of her add-ons. What do you want 😕
I want her to not suck. The add-on pass did not help with that. The 5.5.0 update might help, though.
-
I only bought a weapon skin, which I can see. So checkmate. :p

I don't want to instill false hope, but didn't at least one Killer get their unique chase music in the live version and not in the PTB? (I wanna say it was Billy.)

Well, I hope you're right, because it really does look amazing.
(Though I don't think Bill was the only example. Trickster's intro for tome 9 had him wearing the costume he had in the tome, but some pieces of his outfit existed in the animatic that weren't in the tome. I'd be really sad if it was something like we get the Jigsaw mask and not the RBT.)
That is a fair point. We'll have to see how it pans out. I also reaaaaally hope that the trailer costume is what we end up with (though I am indifferent to the weapon, as I would still use the drill bit.)

Are we sure that's going to be the skin, though? It looks awesome, but the trailer image for Bill in Tome 7 wasn't the skin we got. I'm withholding my expectations until the tome itself comes out.
The way I see it, the Bill thing was them delivering the costume but not the actual young Bill. They didn't actually leave out any article of clothing that wasn't in the trailer.
I can't see them leaving out costume pieces specifically designed for this Tome trailer.
-
They'd have to be nerfed versions if we were to consider them as base kit.
-
Give me Speedo the Clown. Wear it with the Elephant head.

Ironically, The Flash is a 110% speed Killer.

The reasoning that DC "ruins the experience" of a game is just ridiculous to me in the first place. How can YOUR whole "experience" be ruined by someone say...getting called into to work, or maybe their power going out? That's what seems selfish about it to me. A second thing is, you have no idea what my impact in the game would have done. I could've died on that first hook, and for all intensive purposes, I did. It's the same as someone going AFK, yet I never hear them catching any flack for whatever reasons they may have for "ruining the experience." Thirdly, it's nice that you're able to think about all these people I'm "screwing over," but I challenge you to think about the "experience" of the person who got disconnected through no fault of their own. Not only is their experience ACTUALLY ruined, but they are punished for it. Can you unselfishly think about that? Fourthly, and hopefully finally, it's just a game. And we're people. As a person, I try to be understanding. I challenge you to do the same.
And THANK YOU for actually answering my question. That is all I needed to know.
"The reasoning that DC "ruins the experience" of a game is just ridiculous to me in the first place. How can YOUR whole "experience" be ruined by someone say...getting called into to work, or maybe their power going out?"
Because the game is not balanced around someone randomly leaving early in the middle of the match, and just one person doing it can enough to heavily tip the match in the Killer's favor. Obviously, sometimes people cannot help having to leave to tend to something important (hence why the DC penalty starts lenient), but if you are deciding that you're going to play with internet that causes enough games to be messes up to net you a 72-hr ban...well...
Also, I fully advocate reporting people who go AFK for too long.
-
The nerf you are proposing would make him weaker than he was prior to his buffs when he was in the running for weakest Killer in the game.

Really hope VHS picks up sooner rather then later that he can switch to that before going full SC on propaganda negativity.
I know i'm going to get flack for this but it's really hard to look at things like this and not see mr 200 win streak on twins being salty cause he suddenly has to start facing survivors of his own caliber
I mean, how many streamers have to convert in such a way before one starts to wonder why that is happening?

"Bile" is nowhere near the word I would use to describe the act of waiting at the game. The game ends in two minutes, which is not a long time all things considered. If you force them out and they actually leave, the game ends sooner. It is that simple. I don't see why it's a matter of "dignity." You're not looking stupid by forcing them out, regardless of what the Survivors may think. Either you are pushing them out to end the game or you are doing something else. It isn't any more than that, really.
I'm not sure if you're intentionally gaslighting or not, but it comes off that way. I clearly described "facing people that are trying to humiliate you" as "bile." Most people would agree, but you try to spin it as, "just waiting at the gate." Right, just waiting at the gate. That's all they're doing. No malicious intent whatsoever. It's really on the killer for taking it personally.
But it IS just waiting at the gate. Sure, they might also be teabagging or going clicky clicky, but fundamentally, they are just waiting at the gate. My point is that what they are doing is easily answered by just pushing them out yourself. It's not like teabagging at a pallet or rapid flash light clicking clicking while being chased where they can just keep doing it as long as you can't catch them. Force them to leave by going in to swing at them. Their intent doesn't make that an invalid option. This is why I say it's an ego problem. It's the logical option to take if you want the game to end right there, but for some reason that shouldn't be done because doing that means the bad guys win.

You're asking a leading question, but I'll bite. When it comes to being forced to choose between facing a group of people that are trying to humiliate you or just afking for 2 minutes, a lot of people choose to afk because nobody needs that kind of bile in their life, let alone the part of their life that involves escaping the stresses of life. I care more about my time than my dignity, so I chase survivors out every game. What bothers me is when survivors needlessly extend this humiliation ritual by going back into the trial to loop me some more, or to look for the hatch, or to hide in order to waste my time.

And why should it be on the Killer to debase themselves for the Survivors' amusement?
You've got some seriously warped priorities if you think that it's wrong for people to complain about having two unpleasant choices because of players being jerks.
It's not a matter of "whose responsibility is it to end the game" because the game has a very hard cap to forcibly end things once the EGC has begun. If Survivors choose to leave, the game ends right away. If Survivors choose to wait at the gate, Killer can either force them out to end the game or not force them out, and the game keeps going until the EGC timer runs out. If you want the game to end sooner, you force them out. It's really not that deep. I don't see why forcing them out is considered "debasing" or "humiliating." I genuinely don't. You're no lesser of a person for it. It only takes a few seconds for you to do it, and you move on to the next game without having to pay them any more mind. If the Killer chooses to take the act of forcing them out personally, I see no reason to pin that on anyone but the Killer for taking it personally.

It depends what the Devs are planning.
E.g. if they would make the option to get 3 Perks in a Level 50 Bloodweb (out of 6), this would also reduce the grind by 33%. Not 66% like removing Perk Tiers, but if they increase the BPs you gain in games, this might also help a lot.
(Plus, more BPs is always a good feeling when playing)
Until the devs actually show something, the community continues to be correct in being upset.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
As they said, it would be a band-aid fix. Something which the Community criticises the Devs for.
And, for me personally, removing Perk Tiers would remove a lot of excitement for new players. When I was new, getting Perks was the most exciting thing when leveling up my Characters. And if you remove Perk Tiers, you would run out of new Perks before you even have 4 Perk Slots unlocked.
So they should rather look at other solutions.
But I know the community will not understand it that the Devs dont want to remove Perk Tiers and will keep asking for it.
"But I know the community will not understand it that the Devs dont want to remove Perk Tiers and will keep asking for it."
That's probably because the community is correct to be upset at a lack of a solution to the grind issue.

Ok I get learning humility, but that doesn't work here, I don't do it to deny the players of their satisfaction so much as I do it to stop myself from getting angry. I am a very competitive person and I can get pretty invested in matches, so when I know I'm probably about to get bm'ed I just cut my losses and go afk in the basement to stop myself from becoming upset.
Hey, that's your decision to make.

Or the Survivors could just leave, because this is a scenario that only exists because they won't.
It's [BAD WORD] ridiculous to shift the blame off the people responsible for this even being a choice.
If the Survivors choose to wait at the Exit Gate, what stops Killer from forcing them out except not wanting to give them the satisfaction?

No, on the Killer's end because they don't want to give the Survivors the satisfaction.

Morton's Fork. You're forced to wait, or you have to go over to the "hahah, screw you" exit party? Neither one is enjoyable or necessary.
Like... this is the fundamental issue. The choice is waste your time or be taunted. The fault is on the people waiting at the exit gate when they've won, not the Killer for not indulging them.
This goes back to what I was saying about this being an ego issue.

She does need some buffs (like I already mentioned in the other thread). She isn't unplayable, though.
I mean, no Killer is "unplayable" if you lower the competition enough. But Pig suffers heavily the more competent players get.

It remains the same regardless. Loop until you feel you're about to be caught. Get to a locker or gen. You're one shot either way. At least you'll still be alive
Hm, I guess that's true, though would that not lead to potentially inefficient chases that might have cost you extra possible time on what is essentially a gamble?
-
Alrighty, folks. I've never really properly tried to grind the Rift (the closest was to get 2/3) pieces of the Pink Elephant costum). Anyone got any tips on how to grind it as efficiently as possible to get whatever cosmetics are up for grabs?

Jump in a locker. Or more ideally just hold on to a gen and let him grab you off. Grabs = can't mori
The locker tech is only really a guess unless he's already caught someone. As of right now, there's no real way to know he has it until he uses it successfully.
