I’ve done quite a few. Platinum’d the game on PS4. Of the add ons, I’m missing Freddy’s.
-
Could you look it up for me?
-
Billy and Huntress rely on survivor mistakes to use their ability. Thats why they’re not the top killers even though they absolutely can devastate a survivor’s mistake.
Spirit and Nurse were top of the chain because survivors (at least pre-nerf) couldn’t really stop the killer from getting them. OP, the players in this thread are trying to explain this about Billy.
-
This would be really interesting to see. Could you give a directory to it? Is it in ‘settings/account’ for example?
-
I got to four yesterday with about six challenges completed. My math says I’ll be at least Tier 12 after completing Tome II Level 1.
-
You’re framing it wrong. Gatekeeper rewards killers who can keep more generators unfinished.
-
Look what y’all have done. The math guys have invaded the thread.

Purple toolbox + socket swivels + clean rag=50% faster gen time, so every Gen you'd o with it takes only 40 seconds.
So if 3 people have these it definitely can happen.
Check the wiki if you want to see the numbers yourself.
That’s not how math works. 80 seconds / 1.5 = 54 seconds.

Doc is pretty fun. Better use him up before he gets nerfed.

Gen rush bb killers on ps4 boring tbh, and u loop them for 4 minutes and you get face camper and tunneled off hook
hahaha 👍
-
Ps4 player. I’m used to the nerfed flicked lol! I’ve been overshooting on a couple of swings a game but I’d say overall better.
-
Oni’s ability is way stronger than Billy’s. But it comes in bursts. I can use him with no add ons too so he’s a killer I’ll be sticking by.
-
Yup, devout. Mystery solved. Please spare my life and I will go forward to spread the word.
-
They’re different. You could argue Oni has similar mechanics to Leatherface and Myers, too.
-
I’ve been using BBQ, Brutal Strength, PGTW, STBFL. I’ve also been using Restraint to counter all the Calm Spirit’s.
-
You know I don’t think I’ve seen a complaint about Doctor yet.
-
Most of my builds use PGTW now. Each kick gives me twenty seconds, minimum.
Wrecking Ruin should open up pathways to trying out new builds. I probably would’ve never used Dying Light like I have been these last few weeks if not for the announcement.

I am sorry to add to your suffering. I beg forgiveness.
You know I thought by becoming a PE, I could overcome my fear of PE.
But now I know that’s stupid.

How dare you trivialize the torment so many have suffered by pink elephants. Horrible person. Pink elephants are never a joke.
I can’t believe you said the PE word. Twice.

I play mostly on PS4, but I honestly don't understand what you mean by nice slideshow.
I saw this complaint yesterday but didn’t experience it either. He’s saying that killer is having frame rate drops in matches.
-
I was going to become an elephant main until I read this. Thank you for setting me straight, stranger.

Gen rush isn't just down to playing well though, it's a product of insanely quick gen times. Of course a survivor is gonna do the objective if they're not being pressured, people aren't begrudging that, but the issue is the objectives themselves are too quick to give killers a chance to do anything.
I play a lot of killer. Gen rush happens very rarely and very rarely do I feel uncompetitive when playing.
Bad games happen. I guess that people complaining give up really early into a match because you can definitely rebound in this game. Even with one gen left. Just keep trucking. All the pallets are gone too so chases get shorter and shorter.
PS4 Red Rank killer if that matters.
-
I vote Clown as well.
-
Playing well counters playing well.
-
Maybe make her crouch speed a bit quicker.
-
Doctor has been a ton of fun. I hope they don’t touch Shock Therapy anymore because it’s exactly what I was hoping for.
-
This should go much worse for these kind of killers with no ruin skill checks. All gens can pop in two minutes with three unpressured survivors. Enjoy your revs Leatherface.

It is an S tier perk. Shuts down most god-windows, only not the double god-windows on the asylum or the wretched shop.
Shuts down shack, cow tree, ironworks of misery infinite, coal tower infinite, suffocation pit infinite, rancid abattoir infinite (somewhat), fracted cowshed infinite, and can be used at every jungle gym to stop them vaulting the window 3+ times if you are chasing in the wrong direction. It also shuts down some nasty double window setups that can spawn.
I never run without it on any M1 killer anymore.
I thought you were being sarcastic about the S tier but your explanation is exactly why I use it. To remove god loops and jungle gyms.
I still think of it as a killer specific perk. Huntress and Billy come to mind since it helps them limit survivor movement and use their abilities.
-
BBQ and Bamboozle are my go to’s. I’m not sure which generator perks to use on her anymore though.
Maybe Brutal Strength and PGTW?
-
It’s going to be fine. I already moved on from Ruin and turns out I do just like I did before. Ruin would break in less than a minute and I still won a lot of matches playing with three perks.
You will probably play better replacing it with Pop or Dying Light like another poster said.
Placebo perk got removed. You just thought it was good.
-
I always get a red rank survivor. I figure if there’s less than purple it was a SWF.

I finally managed to go from rank 16, to rank 15. So glad for this Ruin nerf! Having to hit a Greater skillecheck, powering through it or even cleansing the Hex totem, several ways you can deal with a perk, was just too many ways tbh.
Like, why should a killer be rewarded so heavily for a perk that gets destroyed so quickly most of the time? It's such an amazing, PASSIVE perk! It isn't like there aren't countless survivor perks that are passive and allow you to do things that are total BS passively and with 0 effort xD
I think killers should just be happy that they have this new Ruin, which is so insidious that there's no way you'd even recognize the killer has it, or how good of an end game perk it is because of it! How can we stop this new, overpowered Doc rework from 3 genning? I can never find the totem and I'll always be pushed off the gen, so tbh it might be a little TOO strong!
There’s a tell for Ruin. The gen sparks when you let go.
-
Can’t wait to try it after work but not liking the idea of a week long Calm Spirit meta. Oh well.
-
I use to throw pallets at the start of the game. My friends got really mad a lot.
I didn’t know about the stun or looping. To me they stopped the killer from an area, they had to break it, and I could go through them. So in my mind I was creating safe areas by throwing pallet.
I also didn’t know it notifies the killer when you did that haha.

I main Freddy and Doctor. I haven’t tried docs rework yet so we’ll see if I keep playing him. I like Freddy because I can easily keep up with gens and play without being too stressed. I know how to use his snares in a lot of situations. I was just really good with doctor plain and simple, not sure if I will be after this nerf comes to PS4.
I think Docs rework will be good. The calm add on now applies to when Static Blast is readied. Means the large terror radius Doc will be going even when at 1.15.
I think it’ll be fun.
-
Lately it’s been Oni. Lot of fun with him.
My first favorite was Clown. Then Billy. Huntress. Ghostface. But nowadays it’s Oni.
Definitely like to mix it up though.
-
I feel like the latest P3s for killers have been excellent. Plague, Ghostface, and Oni have great detail.
I think what makes some of the earlier killers P3s bad in comparison is it had a brighter tone to the blood splatters. Hag and Trapper are kind of ridiculous when you look at them. Huntress might be the earliest killer to get it right.
I’ll vote Oni since I enjoy the ‘you’ve got cajones playing Oni on PlayStation’ messages I get and the surprise that I P3’d what they thought was a bad killer :3
-
Didn’t the oroginal emblem also cap at a certain minute mark?
-
Its not a nerf really and I never knew that was an active bug so I’m cool with it.
-
I switched all the time. It’s just if friends want to play or not.
-
Yeah, I’ll be getting it. I enjoy the progression and there are quite a few cosmetics within that I want.
There’s at least three recolors (Clown, Hag, Huntress) that I considered getting during the Black Friday sale. Would’ve cost 2,000+ then so this is a deal to me and I know I play enough to finish to Tier 70.
-
Wraith is another add on dependent killer. I think that’s the reason this group is considered weak compared to the other killers.
There isn’t much reason to ever play without add ons though.
I have been playing Plague lately and I think her cooldown addons are her best out of the non-iridescents.
-
Dying Light is meta on Plague since the obsession doesn’t get to take advantage of the healing buff.
-
It’s just more useful on certain killers and clearly not useful on others. It’s so {not} useful on enough killers that if you primarily play those killers, I can see how you’d think it’s a noob perk.
I’d think that if Spirit bamboozled a window, maybe dealing with a player who doesn’t understand the killer’s power. If Huntress or Billy does that, I’d feel trapped.
-
I had a similar experience. My first couple of games were high difficulty. Could have been a great team or my own frustration. After that it’s back to three and four kills a game.
After testing my builds out with ruin I figured it was a good change. It makes me think Ruin had a bit of a placebo going on with me. I do agree with other players that in that I cannot be as lenient as I have been in the past with this change.
Getting the first kill is vital to a win.

@skoopydoo said:
Hopefully this will make the game more even and bring kill rates closer to the 50s rather than 70.
It won’t. Because of DC’s.
-
Tru3talent’s Ghostface:
Ruin / Sloppy Butcher / Thanataphobia / Nurse’s Calling
Demogorgon, I like:
[Gen Perk] / BBQ / Enduring / STBFL
-
I want heavymetalface
-
Don’t tell me a plate is too hot cause I just have to find out for myself.
-
If Killers had gestures, well... I would just use them on the hooked survivors. Camping would become a show.
Win, win imo.
