So as I’ve said, a cross between The Pig and The Doctor.ACID2BROS said:I think the killer idea is awesome (you hear this from killer main) but i think the ability is WAY OP, and simply it needs some adjustments. and the voiceline "hello there'' cannot be done, because no one else in the game talks (so far). Survivors groan in pain, or some killers chuckle and huntress sings her frustrating lullaby in witch gives away her location far beyond her terror radius. I think another way from equalizing THE PLAGUE's skill, is to make the killer cough loud, giving away his location. And i think for each survivor there must be a box.
-
It is interesting, but Sole Survivor now looks nothing like its name suggests, as Sole Survivor suggests that you are... surviving... alone... not saving...
-
As a killer main, I think that the ability for survivors to fully recover ONCE is fair. Otherwise, No Mither or Unbreakable for further recoveries.
-
Theoretically, if an obsession died on first hook with Remember Me, the killer could still get more stack before the game’s end.
-
If you have the Doctor’s teachables, you’d have a real good time with Monitor and Abuse, as that basically buffs Myers entire role.
-
For those that don’t get the reference:

-
“No supernatural killers...”
Try saying that to:
Wraith,
Nurse,
Hag,
Doctor (lesser extent)
Freddy,
and Spirit. -
The way it is written now would basically give a killer an extremely easy Mori since they only need to land 5 hits to advance to death. I’m assuming that plague hits work like Legion hits and can’t actually down anyone because then there would be no reason to do regular attacks. Perhaps the first hit is instant tier 1 but successive attacks only advance slightly, requiring a few hits to advance to a further stage.Mr_Black said:@Steamtastic_Vagabond said:
I said Neigh looks like a more grossly overpowered version of overcharge and I think that the disease could benefit from having a fixed effect that slowly gets worse overtime. Addons could increase the rate at which the plague advances and add new effects (perhaps even death with a red add on that considerably reduces advancement). In this way the character could be like a cross between the Doctor and the Pig.What do you think about it now?
Changed the way it works... -

Regarding the matter of Joey and Susie, they could release another cosmetic for those 2 but way less cool and make it base. And secondly, I think it would be really interesting if the mixtapes for each character were built into each member of the Legion (with a nerf to Frank’s).
-
As Freddy stands now, it is even harder to hide from his than the Doctor. You can’t really hide from him since you can’t even see him, and if Spine Chill is active, it’s probably already too late. I think a good boost for Freddy is to make him feel less like a killer and more like a force of nature.
My proposition is to remove Freddy’s “terror radius” to awake survivors. Detection such as Dark Sense and Spine Chill would still work though.
Sleeping survivors get the lullaby terror radius to make him a bit more unnerving (only a cosmetic like how the Shape gets his own music)
Otherwise the common quality of life upgrades should be more than enough combined with this.
in my opinion anyways. -
Honestly, Myers has 2 distinct play styles we’ll call Tombstone and Mirror. Tombstone play style revolves around a flashier more brutal Myers, stalking the survivors to get to tier 2 then just a little before tier 3. At tier 3 Myers gets a brutal instadown which outclasses the chainsaws, but is limited in time. Saving the tier 3 for when your at a survivors heels is a great way to get a quick down.
Alternatively there is the Mirror playstyle which instead relies on perks and adding that boost tier 1-2 whilst lowering terror radius. The point of this is to use your extreme quick to get the jump on survivors even when they’re paying attention. In open maps Mirror Myers isn’t so effective, but in maps like Lery’s or The Game, Mirror Myers is extremely deadly. -
So like Betrayal at House on the Hill?makayla said:I want a mansion-like map that looks something like this, with 2/3 floors.
stairs
[]<-||->[]
[]<-||->[]
[]<-||->[][]=room
||=hallwayIt wouldn't be confusing like Lery's or The Game, it would actually be a straightforward, simple indoor map that would be pretty easy to memorize.
Certain rooms would be randomly generated and certain rooms would always be there. Some rooms could have large holes in the ground so you didn't have to go up/down the stairs all the time to get from one place to the other. Idk, I think it's a cool idea.I also want a highschool map.

Sure, at the end of the day, with this system you’re still doing generators to power an exit gate to get out whilst evading a killer. But this proposition isn’t exactly a secondary objective to make the game more interesting but an addition to the main objective to make it considerably more interesting. Using the MOBA examples, in Smite you don’t have to kill a fire giant to win the game, but killing that fire giant gives a VERY nice boost to the team. The parts here are like the fire giant then. Sure you wouldn’t NEED to do it, but it certainly helps.

It is the killers fault, and that killer is doing holy work stomping Depip Squads.SnakeSound222 said:Survivors like that will never admit that they did anything wrong. All they want to do is bully the Killer and escape every single time and if anything goes wrong, it's automatically the Killer's fault. You beating them probably dealt a serious blow to their egos and so they went all out on you.
-
Isn’t Legion the same size as the survivors? Besides, if the rework was done they would probably look just like the survivors until masked.pemberley said:Cool idea but my only concern is that wouldn’t the disguise be moot because killers are already bigger than survivors? I doubt you’d fool anyone over rank 20 - “oh who’s that large girl with the cotton pink hair? Must be Nea.” Or “Huh, Jeff’s new skin looks cool.” -
I can give an actual answer. The rank system doesn’t represent skill, but experience. So imagine your playing Smite or something, take a break for a while and come back after a few patches and new characters, except the meta game you left looks nothing like the meta now. You have no idea how to deal with the new stuff and you’re curbstomped for a few games.
The rank reset helps people who have taken a prolonged break ease themselves back into the game before being sent in with people who aren’t rusty in the slightest -
That being said, you’ll have to be running the perk Decisive Strike in order to use it. It’s not just a thing obsessions get.
-
Her model looks fine, but her portrait has something uncanny about it.
-
For me, it goes
Huntress, Spirit, Hillbilly, Michael, Legion, Doctor, Nurse, Pig, Leatherface, Freddy, Hag, Clown, Wraith, and finally Trapper. -
Really, I’m sure less people would be complaining if Frank’s Mixtape was changed to do something else. Legion does require skill, less than other killers sure but still requires skill. Legion’s weakness is his difficulty to track survivors with scratch marks while frenzying, making it necessary to keep line of sight if you want to catch a survivor. If LOS is broken, that survivor’s gone.
-
You’ve never seen a Decisive Strike have you?zalazanej said:I really like the idea of the killer and that there are different types with different abilities and strenghts. But i still think, generally most killers are just a bit too overpowered. once a killer got more people down, the remaining survivor(s) don´t really have a good chance to escape. especially if you´re the last survivor you can´t do much except desperately crowling away from the killer once down. also, the poles where you got hanged are too many and too much together. it would be way better i think if it would be possible as a killer to only hang a person once onto the same post
-
Why not just make Slender Man while we’re at it 😀
-
I think the best solution to the unintended consequences is to build in a voice chat into the game that cannot be disabled (not having a mic plugged in though would mean no voice chat). You can mute other players but not yourself. This way even if voice chat is being used, the killer knows what’s being said and can use SWF advantages against those players. If they don’t use voice chat then nothing would happen. It doesn’t mitigate multiple players being in the same place as each other, but what can really be done about that?

Cough cough Nurse cough coughDuckApproved said:@LegitAdventurer I understand that hiding is a part of the game, but if the only way to evade a killer it to hide than that is a poorly designed.
-
Bloodhound works if the survivor’s bleeding and you’re already on their trail. And I find strider to have a minuscule effect as slightly louder breathing is SO much more noticeable. But meta detection perks such as BBQ, and Nurses Calling are blocked. Whispers tells the killer a survivor is nearby but only if their paying attention to sound effects leaving very little ability to track survivors trying to hide, especially if they have Iron Will and Calm Spirit.
-
This is probably why Legion’s survivor has distortion.DuckApproved said:@Steamtastic_Vagabond Legion can just put on certain tracking perks in order to find the survivors. Also eventually you will have to stop hiding to do a generator and not every map has corn. Also if your only counter play to a killer is just hiding then its not the best desgined killer. Now Nurse does get countered by hiding, but you can out play a nurse through certain movements.

Again, run Discordance.MegaWaffle said:@javieralfre2 said:
Hi, I think I’d be cool if each survivor could have an unique bonus/stat in the game. Beside each one unique perks. This would give each survivor more character.
For example:
Claudette:+extra 5% speed heal
Jake: +extra 5% sabotage speed
Dwight: +extra 5% repair speed
...
...
And so on. What you people think?4 Dwights, 4 Prove Thyself, 4 X 5% character stat repair speed.
No thanks.
I would like something to be unique about the survivors aside from being a reason to buy auric cells. Problem is finding a way to balance their abilities and how the ability would stack/balance with others.
I don't feel this is close to the top of the list for things DBD needs to fix right now. -
Legion DOES have counter play. They were seemingly designed to hard counter pallet looping, but the feral frenzy has almost no tracking ability until someone gets hit. Hiding in corn works wonders against Legion, and so does not running from them. To counter Legion, you’ve got to hide from them.
-
Another thing to point out is that it also gives the killer some more choices in the lobby. Lobby of Dwight’s, should probably bring Discordance. Lobby of Meg’s, you should bring something to cause exhaustion or a speed boost. Lobby of Kate’s, Iron Grasp and so on. But the survivors could then run perks that are largely incompatible with the character creating more mind games even in the lobby.
-
I doubt this will be implemented in the slightest, but it’s fun to think about.
-
Wow, time for a new DLC killer, Darwinism.I_am_Negan said:Blow them off in every match
Just be careful when doing it
-
Well I’ve never been accused of being trash by survivors for not running meta perks so I figure it’s probably not going to start just because of a character pick.
-
How about this, Nea gets a slight boost to crouch movement speed (not stacking with urban evasion) and Meg enjoys slightly increased exhaustion cooldown rate.
-
David King can get a boost to actions while injured. But this still leaves Tapp, Quentin, Adam, Nea, and Jeff.
-
I think maybe we should fill this out a bit more.
perhaps Laurie gets +10 chance to be the obsession regardless of perk choices (but no obsession is made with no perks), Ace should get a luck bonus (obviously). Dwight should instead get a bonus to Cooperative Action and Feng Min would be better suited to repair speed. Given the theme of Kate I figure she should get a slight boost to wiggling free and Bill should get a bonus to solo actions. -
If ghostface was added, his power should be that there is two of him. Ghostface can always see the aura of his other but the other just patrols a small area and makes loud noises when he sees a survivor and just rushes over trying to attack. The power button then would switch to the other ghostface (similar to how the hag works).
This is may be seen as unbalanced, but they would functionally be Basic Attack killers with no added powers. -
It was this way before, the update simply patched the graphic in
-
Perhaps the puzzle box could be a perk that reveals the auras of survivors opening chests in a radius and while opening chests they are exposed.
-
I have never intentionally slugged anyone, but there have been a few times where survivors bled out because I downed one and chased another immediately nearby without running deerstalker.
-
Hell, earlier today, I flashlight stunned a killer face camping and got the save, they died later but still!
-
I’ve only seen 2 since I started in JuneDragonredking said:If the clow is so overpowered how come no one is playing him?
That must be the 100th time I'm saying it, but I STILL haven't face a single clown since his release.
-
I would not be ashamed to run hard knock. I have no friends so my survival is the only thing that actually helps me get through the game. The other perks are total dick moves to run but they could still be interesting if not quite as powerful. For Hand of the Entiry, perhaps reward going nowhere near the hook instead of actively screwing over other survivors.
-
I’ve also been seeing a lot more pigs than usual, even before the patch.
-
But the hatch spawned with 2 gems done and all 4 still alive based on the image. For the hatch to even spawn with all 4 survivors still alive, the exit gates need to be powered.powerbats said:@Dimek said:
They were all alive. This isnt icon bugActually there's a bug right now that in the case of someone crashing mid game it sometimes gets them booted by the killer and shows them as alive on screen.
In the case of the hatch that's a key and the person just hasn't registered as leaving yet since that requires a key to open unless gates are powered and or 1 left.

No mercy, there will be blood!

Here’s a video showing off how Leatherface’s Basement build works. Personally never done it because I only have like 2 teachable but that’s beside the point.Morfedel said:@HatCreature said:
So I know this feeling and it hurts, I don't like camping, it makes me feel uncomfortable but I do patrol to see if anyone is nearby. I usually run BBQ or Devour to incentivize me to walk away from the hook and get rewarded, though sometimes the Survivors are like yours and you can't leave quick enough to get out of range.I use those altruistic Survivors against them, if they start swarming the hooks, SLUG them. Don't hook them just SLUG 'em. Punish them for being greedy and stupid, Leatherface is great for this of course because of the snowball potential.
I think you'd get a kick out of Basement builds man I really do. Use Leatherface, Trapper, or Hag and only put people in the Basement. Their Altruism will be their undoing, use Insidious if you're having a really bad day. Start the match by running directly to the Basement and wait there the entire match, usually someone will eventually go down there for that sweet alluring chest and when they do you scream like a madman and swing that saw around and wait for the ensuing swarm of idiots.
So I've heard of basement builds, but I dont know anything about them. What is it, agitation and iron grip to get them down there, and insidious to lure others down there too?

I always run dark sense. It tells me if I’m safe after completing a generator and also if I haven’t figured out who the killer is, the aura is going to be a very good clue. It can also tell you if the killer is afk and just swinging. It’s an awesome perk that no one ever seems to use.

While this thread is up, what is the deal with the offerings anyways. Why is an Escape Cake uncommon when individual category boosts are rare. Also why then is the bound envelope and bloody party streamers also rare?
