  • I think it's fun in short bursts. Plays well, runs well for my phone. Doesn't heat up either.

  • It's my favorite level in Sonic CD.

  • I don't find him bad at all on PS4 and he's my 2nd most picked killer lol.

  • There's not that many on PS4 and even when I see one, they're usually trolling in a SWF playing super toxic. I slug em.

  • I have only used mori offerings to get the PS4 trophies that required them. After that was done, I have never bothered burning them anymore even when I see a key. I'll burn the yellow one just for kicks but never use it lol.

  • I am currently tier 20 and about to reach tier 21.

  • If I see scratch marks near the hook, am I supposed to just go away and pretend I didn't notice them? Sometimes it's the survivors fault why a killer won't leave the hook.

I'm questioning myself because I thought that killers are very rude during this quarantine!

Not all of us are rude or mean! Playing both roles I can sympathize with survivors. Note: non toxic survivors. Toxic survivors deserve anything heading their way.

  • Play by your own rules and terms!

  • I don't play her much either, but I'm playing her now due to the rift and she's a blast. You'll get the hang of the hatchets soon! Once you do, it's so fun sniping people from a distance.

  • I'm still having a blast playing killer. Red rank killer and facing nothing but red ranks on PS4.

  • Definitely yes! However, my friend who got the game says that it's hard to find a match as a survivor, thus he doesn't play it that frequently as he should. There should be beefed up tutorials on how to play the game as its very deep IMO.

  • I have to use it. If I don't and no one in the lobby has it and the killer notices that there's no obsession so no DS guess how those matches go? Tunnel the unhooked survivor until they're dead. I'd rather not have those games and have the killer guessing who has it.

  • For me as a solo survivor, I follow these rules:

-Try to save someone from the hook before they go into the struggle phase unless the killer is face camping them. I don't mind hook trading. The only time where I won't bother is if I see the hooked survivor being extremely toxic during the trial.

-Be useful by repairing gens/cleansing totems to respect the efforts being put by the survivor who is getting chased and buying the team time.

-I will prioritize a generator that's more than halfway finished over healing you. Finishing the gen is more important. Speaking of generators, I will leave the generator I am working on if another survivor who doesn't have prove thyself arrives to work on the gen I'm working in. I'd rather have multiple people working different generators instead of repairing the same one. This is especially crucial at the early start of the match. Towards the late game I don't really mind, but I'd rather add pressure to the killer to have to look out for multiple gens being worked on when there's say... 1 gen left.

-if there's two of us left, and I see you putting effort into completing a generator, I will gladly not struggle on the hook. However, if I'm putting all the effort into completing the last gen, buying you time getting chased and I see you do nothing, I will struggle on the hook until the very end in the hopes that the killer spots you to end you.

    - If I'm being chased, I will do my best to not use that many pallets. In fact, I won't drop them until I'm injured. There's no point in wasting them IMO when I'm healthy just because I'm afraid of getting injured. I'm cool with staying injured all match. The only exception is if I'm facing a killer who can insta down people. If I'm injured, make your choice is worthless, NOED doesn't scare me, haunted grounds or any exposed effect is meaningless.

-if I see you being tunneled, I will do my best to tank a hit for you if the possibility arises only so you can make more distance. Same goes towards the end game if I'm healthy and you're saved/I save you.

-I don't tbag at all whatsoever towards the killer, WITH the exception if I'm tunneled all game for no reason and somehow manage to escape. That's the only time. Otherwise no. I'll only tbag once if another survivor heals me as a sort of thank you.

-I won't struggle if I'm the last survivor and get downed. Sometimes the killers are nice enough to give me the hatch. If they don't, it's cool.

    - I don't send hate messages. Whenever I receive them, I follow it up with a DbD meme relevant to the situation and don't bother replying back.

    - if I'm being chased and buying you so much time at the start of the match and see no gens being done by the time I'm downed only to see survivors urban evade and be useless, I'm hook suiciding because it isn't worth my time or effort and moving on to the next match.

-if NOED comes into play, I will scout the area to try and cleanse it so that others can go for the save. However, if I can't locate it or you're hooked near the totem and I don't have borrowed time, I won't bother risking it.

-if there's two of us left and one exit gate is open, I'll leave ASAP to give you a chance of getting the hatch or sneaking your way into the opened exit gate.

    - shirtless David.

  • I hear ya on that, but these forums have very questionable bait threads going on every day. I can see why people wouldn't have the patience to tolerate different opinions when most have a preference for one side. In addition, count how many times there's been threads about NOED or DS.

  • Don't force me to stay in a game where:

-I chase the killer for minutes and no generators get done.

    - stay hooked and go into the struggle phase because no one is bothering to unhook me even when having Kindred on.

-where the toxic SWF I get body block me or sand bag me every time.

-when everyone is self caring through sloppy butcher in corners or urban evading around doing nothing.

As a solo survivor, I don't see the point in wasting my time trying to win when my team mates are clearly doing everything possible to sabotage my efforts. I am not bothering working my butt off so they can have an easy escape when they've done nothing 95% of the match. No thanks, I'll move on to the next game.

  • I've been using it with any means necessary and have actually picked up pallets two times on some matches! Fun perk.

  • Survivors are getting stuck in the hooks when going for saves and can't move or be attacked.

  • I haven't found the need to heal that much with the recent patch. My play style is still the same lol.

  • I personally LOVE that we can hear the entire huntress lullaby. It is so menacing I love it.

  • I'll do my best to rescue someone before they go into the struggle phase. It really sucks having to go into the struggle phase on your first hook so I'll definitely hook trade if needed to avoid having another survivor be in that situation. As a solo survivor I wish people would do the same for me, though.

The rare time I won't bother to save is if a killer is face camping a survivor. I will rather work on a gen instead of feeding the killer what he wants.

  • A basic attack is an attack that doesn't insta down people. Doesn't matter whether it's a fast or lunge swing.

For example: Billy has the chainsaw that you can down people with. Sloppy butcher won't be applied if you down a healthy survivor with it. If you smack them once with his regular melee, it will apply it.

    Hope that helps!

  • I play solo survivor too 95% of the time, and while I have a lot of terrible games (especially during rank reset), that in no way gives me any excuse to act toxic towards other players or killers. Acting toxic because of other people doesn't help the community whatsoever.

You will have terrible games, but that's the luck of the draw when you play solo survivor. Move on to the next match.

  • It's a great perk to memorize the totem spawns. The newly buffed detective's hunch is also a very nice replacement for it. I have yet to use small game against a killer that has traps though lol so small game for me is only for totems.

  • Yes. Let's alert him where to go next right? No. Some of his add ons also don't allow skill checks to work to wake you up.

  • I love how the clock always spawns furthest away from you because nothing is more fun than to travel across the map every single time you want to wake up. And it doesn't even matter that much anyway because you'll be asleep again soon.

  • They're fine with the current time it takes to cleanse. Imagine if they were to take your suggestion and actually increased the base time... And now imagine adding Thrill of the Hunt into it. High mobility killers or any killer for that matter would be guaranteed to always defend their hexes. No thanks.

  • I love NOED as a survivor. It makes the end game so fun for me. There's so much pressure on both sides to find/defend the totem and see which side wins. Those NOED hook saves are so tense, I love it. Nothing else in the game gets my adrenaline pumping as much as a NOED end game.

  • It doesn't make sense for survivor IMO.

  • The killer one definitely needs to be addressed. It's really difficult to get the higher rank you are.

  • I agree. It's even worse if someone brings Plunderer's Instinct since every time I use that perk, I usually always get a key lol.

It's something survivors should be doing, yes! I agree with you 100%.

But in reality they don't, I'm not a huge fan of Inner Strength, there's always a limit and if you're with a good team, how many times can you use it?

How many totems are there if you're paired with decent survivors?

    At best 2?

    1?

If you get two uses out of it, you got to use it. Even if you only get 1 use, that's still fine. Do you really need to be fully healed more than two times during a match? That would just be wasting time healing instead of doing gens. The matches don't last very long these days that I feel healing once or twice is the norm during matches.

  • Waiting a few seconds in a locker to heal against sloppy butcher is way better than self caring through it. In addition, I am getting rid of totems and preventing NOED from happening in the end game. I think I know which perk I'll continue using.

  • I'll eat the DS. I would rather get rid of it than have to worry about it during the end game.

Yeah but they’re not slowing down killers anytime soon either. It’s rather frustrating the amount of exposed/one hit downs they have access to. Terrible vault hitboxes, ez downs killers don’t deserve. There’s just typically a lot more pressure on the survivors to keep doing gens because killers will eventually find and down someone and can easily have momentum in his favor. There’s just simply not enough time to open chests, break totems and whatever else people want to do playing a survival game every single game. One perk takes advantage of that though to the extreme.

Doing totems/opening chests doesn't require a lot of time to cleanse. There are also perks that help make the cleansing faster like resilience, spine chill, and leader.

The killer can only chase one survivor at a time, so with that in mind, if everyone else is doing totems or gens while the other survivor is getting chased, you apply pressure to the killer.

I'm curious, what rank are you for survivor and do you play killer? Not to make any assumptions, but from your post, it doesn't seem that you play much killer.

  • Not a fan of your ideas at all, unfortunately. It's fine the way it is right now. It can be countered if survivors do totems, and punishes survivors if they don't cleanse them. For me, as a survivor, I find NOED very exciting because it always makes the end game SO fun for me. The rush to find/cleanse NOED, save the survivor, open the gates is SO GOOD.

  • I love poised as it is. I have lost the killer so many times during a chase because of it. There's no need for the extra speed boost when your scratch marks disappear. If you're out of line of sight, the killer will get confused and you can make distance.

  • I LOVE running it as a solo survivor. I use For the People, Empathy, Botany Knowledge, and Streetwise with a purple/green medkit. Killers never expect it and I'm OK staying broken for whatever time it lasts. Botany and streetwise guarantees super fast heals and my medkit lasts all match.

  • Everything is going to turn out fine, you'll see. Best of luck.

  • It will make you lose your add ons even if you escape.

  • Well, if there's one thing I have to commend him on is knowing when to stop before frustration gets the best of him. More people need to learn how to do that.

  • Breakdown still destroys the hook for 3 minutes.

  • I love playing killer on PS4.

  • It feels weird atm. I've noticed that whenever end game collapse happens, sometimes it feels like the server is hitting the fan and causes you to jump lag everywhere. I've forgotten the term lol

  • I'd rather just eat the DS and get it out of the way without having to worry about it later, especially during the end game collapse.

  • Just finished a match where I got matched up with a few purple and yellow rank survivors who fed a Myers infinite Evil Within 3 within minutes of the match starting. We managed to still repair the gens, and Myers was slugging everyone. He hooks me and I managed to unhook myself because of the luck offering I brought, go for the slugged survivors and they weren't even recovering.... This was also after one of them sandbagged me by blocking my way, which was the reason I got hooked. Sigh... The life of a solo survivor is tough sometimes.

Rank 2 survivor at the moment.

  • I just faced a Nurse doing this exploit. I understand accidentally triggering it, but this person was straight up trolling and being toxic with it. I reported this person in game and will submit a ticket.

  • I love playing solo. Yes some matches can be frustrating, but I prefer it over a 4 man SWF any day of the week. SWF is truly boring. There's no suspense or tension for me.

  • For me it's definitely Freddy. Every Freddy runs the same build so it's just boring because there isn't a single Freddy match that's different.

Plague I don't mind, but tonight I had survivors cleanse every single time and they weren't even fully infected...
