Message a survivor to see if they're willing to help you get it.
-
I don't see a problem with NOED. It makes the end game more fun for me as a survivor.
-
Leader. I always use it with Bond and it comes in super handy for those fast heals.
-
This happened last night. The last guy was slugged and didn't know he had a key. I look for him and instead of picking him up, I close the hatch and watch him get picked up by adrenaline and escape by hatch. I couldn't stop laughing.
-
With the old doctor, there was a match where I spawned and heard the terror radius while the camera was spinning around my character. I screamed within seconds of the match starting lol.
-
I prefer thanataphobia. Pair it up with sloppy butcher and prioritize injuring everyone ASAP.
-
She's already very slow. Adding an unnecessary cool down will make her frustrating to play.
-
I personally never played with ruin that much so this change hasn't affected me in any way. However, playing killer does require twice the effort than survivor because it is 1 vs. 4. The issue for me are the map sizes. My favorite killers are Trapper and Clown. Due to the map sizes, I cannot make it to the other side of the map on time to pressure survivors working on generators. The pipping system I feel is also more harsh to actually rank up as killer, especially when you have factors outside of your control that can screw you over like someone looting a key off a chest.
-
Surge for sure and I'm recently a fan of Thanataphobia. I know people say thana sucks, but my priority at the start of the match is to injure all of the survivors to take full effect of it. Put it on with sloppy butcher and survivors will waste time healing because they don't want the penalty.
-
Better this time around.
-
I had a match last night as killer where I ended chases very quickly, applied enough pressure in the mid and especially late game, sacrificed 2 survivors on their third hook while the remaining two were 2 hooked and on their death hook, but because one of the remaining 2 had Plunderer's instinct, they ended up looting a key and both of them escaped through the hatch. I was playing fair too. No tunneling, camping, etc. I was also playing Clown on Oni's map. I got iridescent emblem for chaser and was point away from getting iridescent on two more, but I safety pipped! Safety pipped! I literally could not believe I didn't pip for all that work. That's so ridiculous, man.

Weird, I feel like lunges are shorter, some misses made me think "how the heck that didnt hit?".
That's exactly how I feel. I literally have to get super close to survivors for a guaranteed hit because otherwise the hit detection is very wonky.

I know sabotaging hooks is a mechanic in the game so it is not toxic. however, I am going for this challenge and equipped Alex's toolbox with increased sabotage add on speed and managed to sabotage 8 hooks. I felt so scummy doing that because it was against a Huntress who was clearly not red rank. I honestly am not a fan of this challenge. Yes, you could say I spent all match going around sabotaging hooks, but with those add ons I did not waste ANY time and still did gens, saved people. I let the huntress sacrifice me and messaged them to apologize. I will get my final 2 with the perk sabotage and never have to worry about it again hopefully.

I've been experiencing some lag after the update, but I'm not sure if it's a problem on my end.
Same here. It was against a Legion and it seemed like Legion was lag switching.
-
My main killer is Trapper. For some reason, survivors have been avoiding triggering some of my traps and I don't understand why. It's usually the traps I place where they have vault and trigger it. Anyone else experience something like that? They're very inconsistent.
-
I reached the final tier before level 4 was out for it. I still completed all of the challenges for all the levels to 100% completion.

The question is, when will they adjust it? It took freddy nearly 2 years before he even got what he deserve.. If the problem comes from the survivors side, expect a fixed immediately.. A week is even considered too long.. But if there's a problem on the Killer it took months and even years(Just look at freddy) unless of course its a nerf, Just look how they nerfed Oni twice after PTB and a week later.. Ruin is not an unhealthy perk.. In fact it even teaches you how to hit Great Skill Check, and probably defines your skill to the rest of the team.. But now Ruin is gone, do you even think survivors will even have a challenge since all they do now is Gen Rushing on Red Ranks? While killers especially M1 Killers are having a hard time going from one gen to the other especially on Big ass Maps..
What you're not understanding is now that ruin is out of the picture, the developers will see how fast games go without it with their data. With the examples you're providing, you're talking about a complete killer rework, and other buffs. This ruin change will provide them with more accurate data to analyze whether gen speeds need to get adjusted, map sizes need to be reduced, etc. In red ranks, it's a completely different ball game in terms of balance. Now that games are going a lot faster, queue times for survivors increasing, they will hopefully make needed adjustments to this game to make it more fair in red ranks since ruin will not be an issue anymore for new players.
I get it, it's frustrating when the games at red ranks take little time especially for me, a solo survivor, waiting more time for a match than actually IN a match.

For killer its almost always instant. For survivor it's been really fast in morning/noon hours since the recent update (I'm talking five minutes max), which I'm loving because before I was waiting forever, but usually super late at night it will take fifteen minutes to a half hour. Then sometimes (still late at night) I'll just give up on waiting because it is taking too long. But again, no problems for me during the day on survivor or killer, solo or in SWF.
Don't even get me started with matchmaking. It makes no sense and is totally broken.
Lucky. I don't have time to play during the day because of work, so I can only play during PM and it's taking ages to find a match. Like it always has, but even longer. 10+ minutes wait time every time. Thing is that because it takes forever, it's going to take ages to complete this new rift survivor challenges. :/

On PS4, for me anyway, my queue times are faster than they've ever been... but so are the matches. xD
For killer or survivor? I get instant matches right away when I play killer (Rank 4), but it takes FOREVER to find a match as a solo survivor (Rank 2). Then I do find a match and sometimes face off against green rank killers and the lobby is made up of red ranks. MM is totally messed up right now and they need to sort it out ASAP.

2 to 3 gens in a minute is not possible.
It is totally possible and it's becoming more common after this ruin nerf. I JUST played a match against a Legion who got his first down and hook...guess what? 3 gens popped right away and there were 2 gens left. Mind you, the first chase for him did not last very long. It's ridiculous IMO.
-
Tool boxes need a major nerf. They do not need to increase repair speed whatsoever anymore. I see survivors bring them in trials now and it's like, really???
-
I never played with it much before and my main killer is Trapper. As a survivor I can definitely tell you it does not last at all, and because it doesn't last, the gens pop so fast. I haven't bothered to bring items in a trial before other than medkits, so because of this I find it baffling that other survivors are bringing tool boxes. Like really? They need to be reworked IMO. they should not affect gen speed anymore.
-
That's how I felt like at the beginning. I don't anymore, though.
-
I still find it very enjoyable lol. On both sides too! Yes, killer is more work, but I play killer on my own terms and have a blast.
-
It's really bad on PS4. I've said it before and I'll continue to say it: this needs to be top priority for BHVR. It is driving new players away and current dedicated players away too.
The queue times were NEVER the best on PS4 for survivor, but right now they are in the worst state it's ever been.
-
Whatever the true issue is, it should be top priority for BHVR. It's driving new players away from playing this game and it's causing current players to go play something else.
-
With the addition of custom music to killers, what's going to happen to the current themes? One of the most exciting things for me as a survivor is the mystery of who the killer actually is, but with custom themes, part of that mystery goes away for me. Don't get me wrong - I love the custom killer chase themes and support them 100%, but I hope the current themes don't go away.

Stop nerfing stuff for killers and maybe there will be more killers to make matchmaking right. It’s only gonna get worse.
It's always been awful on PS4 before this ruin nerf. Always.
-
I use STBFL, Pop, Sloppy Butcher, and whatever other perk you want. Seems to work fine for me the majority of the time.
-
He's my main killer and I have played him without ruin for a long time. Despite the toxicity of some survivors, I try to play fair as much as possible and when I'm playing survivor, I have also noticed most Trapper killers play this way too. The first rift unfortunately might have changed that stigma since everyone was trying their hardest to complete the challenges, but still, wholesome Trapper gang unite!
-
When Legion came out, they had done something to MM that made it blazing fast. Unfortunately, a lot of people complained about unfair MM so they ended up reverting it back. Ever since then, the wait times are atrocious unless you play killer.
-
STBL, Sloppy, Pop, and Surveillance.
-
I love that they're adding custom chase music now. It's awesome. However, I hope the current chase themes don't go away because even though they're old at this point I LOVE them.
Also, with most killers having custom chase music, for me one of the most exciting things is trying to figure out who the killer is. The mystery behind it is always one of the best things about the game for me. If everyone has custom music, the guessing game for me a solo is gone.
-
As a survivor who plays solo the majority of the time: giving up because of my team mates. Sometimes I'll be chased for a long time with my team not doing anything, making my entire chase pointless. At this point I just want to suicide on first hook because I see no point in staying. This is in red ranks too lol.
Killer: Tracking Blendettes/urban evading players.
-
They're a lot better than the first one for survivors anyway IMO. The blue hag skin looks super awesome as well.
-
They're fine for the most part. I am actually getting green pings which was super rare before!
-
I don't use it and I main Trapper in red ranks lol
-
I like the demogorgon. Love the portals, his chase music, and his screams. His shred ability is also useful IMO. if played right, he can put a lot of map pressure.
-
I feel your pain. Rarely do I get team mates in red ranks (PS4) that can work through ruin. Usually I'm the only one who can power through it and hit the skill checks successfully the majority of the time. It's really frustrating being the only one who can work through it while everyone else does nothing lol
-
I use it when I have a looting build.
-
I've tried using any means necessary, but it's so rare to actually use it in game. I even pair it with empathy, and even then I still rarely get to use it during a match. The other two Yui perks don't do anything for me, unfortunately.
-
You leave my resilience alone! I mean, I could bring another meta perk if you'd like over it!
-
I 99% play solo and prefer solo. I've played SWF with mics before, but it was honestly BORING. there's no tension because the match is too easy with constant communication. When I do play with my usual friend, we don't even use mics.
-
Not worth the perk slot until they do a rift dedicated to Jake where the survivor challenges consist of sabotaging hooks.
-
There's two types of Megs. Urban evading + sprint burst Megs and actually really good Meg players that know the loops, but are usually toxic.
-
Tonight has been pretty bad on PS4. For me as a solo survivor anyway. So many useless team mates at red ranks.
-
I've seen this happen to another person too a long time ago. It was also an Ace with the tuxedo outfit!
-
I am one of those people that hardly burn any. I find it tedious having to actually equip them every match.
-
All I want is better matchmaking to reduce the amount of queue times. They're ridiculously long on PS4 when you play survivor. For killer, it tends to be instant.
On switch, survivor queue times are instant. For killer it takes a while for some reason.
Fix the waiting times and then I'd like a performance boost for consoles.
-
I laugh every time I see another survivor disconnect in the loading screen because the killer burns a secret offering and it turned out to be a shroud of separation. It cracks me up every single time.
