I was lucky enough to get the two saves during end game collapse challenge done right now. 😭😭😭
These types of luck challenges should NOT be available whatsoever. Can't wait to see what they change it to.

I've had quite the opposite. So many insta-saw, tunnelling, camping, NoED abusing and Mori reliant killers as of late.
If camping and tunnelling aren't bannable, then farming shouldn't be either.
That sums up my experience tonight lol.

The save 2 survivors during end game collapse. Get rid of the requisite of being done on the same game. It's so unfair and kind of impossible unless you try and boost for it. It's even worse when survivors 99% the exit gate.
And in red ranks, by the time the exit gates are open, most of all survivors are on death hook.
-
I'm so thankful they are changing them. Thank you devs. Us solo survivors need to stand a chance of getting them complete!

I would rather have grinding one like 10 total then 2 in a single match. In red ranks thats almost impossible (considering the killer doesn't deliberadly cooperates, wich is very rare)
I'm red ranks and by the time end game happens, mostly everyone is on death hook. And let's just say the killer has a bad match and gets gen rushed. What happens when the killer notices? Rage quits.
Then killers have the challenge to sacrifice 2 people during end game collapse with NOED, which means that it's more viable for the killer to slug and have everyone on death hook by the time end game triggers. It's counter intuitive and based on pure luck..
The worst part is that I already had rescued two people during end game, but tough luck because you can only do one challenge at a time which at the time, was rescue 25 people from a hook.
I'm a solo survivor and this particular challenge is based on nothing but pure luck, which is BS. sigh...
-
I managed to successfully save one survivor during the end game collapse. Then the killer downs me, camps me, I get saved, and then rage quits. Why does it have to be TWO in a single match. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Because those survivors literally have the best perks for beginners that they immediately have access to. That's basically it.
Nothing complicated reasoning behind it. Switch out Claudette's perks with someone like Quentin(If he was free)and that trope would have carried on to him
I doubt that. Anecdotal, but the pick rate for female survivors outnumber the pick rate of male survivors. At least on PS4. And even when we're talking the OG survivors it's rare for me to see a Jake or Dwight sometimes.
-
Haven't encountered that yet on PS4.
-
As a solo survivor some of these challenges are going to require a lot of luck to achieve...
-
I love that the lore of the new characters are always super long and detailed. Then it makes me laugh that at the end it's always like, oh and out of nowhere they found themselves in the fog and were never seen again.
-
For me it's landing those consecutive blink hits as Nurse on PS4.
-
It's great when you get the stacks. However, getting the stacks IS the problem lol.
-
Had to call it a night because I kept getting host errors trying to find a match as a survivor. PS4.
-
I do generators because the majority of the time the main objective doesn't get done because they're all too busy trying to get altruism. I am a total team player, but I will prioritize generators if I see my team mates do nothing. I will also go out of way to rescue someone before stage 2 begins even if it means sacrificing myself.
-
Open handed, bond, kindred, and a random perk.
-
Just hit tier 60.
-
Use we'll make it. Most survivors will stay when you unhook them to get healed.
-
I want to say I can hit them consistently. Sometimes I'll miss because the skill check will lag for some reason. PS4.
-
Day 1 purchase tbh.
-
Such a great cosmetic for piggy!
-
1) Dead Hard - it gives you another health state if you think about it and allows you to extend loops.
2) Adrenaline - I never heal, so the fact that it heals me and gives me a sprint boost has allowed to me escape a chase and help others in need.
3) Balanced Landing - I don't have access to the PTB, so I am basing this on the current version and not the nerfed version.
4) Lithe - it'll work on any map and combo'd with other perks like quick & quiet and dance with me makes it a fun build.
5) Head On - situational perk, but very fun when paired with quick & quiet. I'd use it more if it didn't exhaust you.
6) Sprint Burst - aka I'm going to walk/urban evade and be useless 99% of the match. Yes you can save it an activate it on your own will, but you're forced to keep it at 99 and run the entire time.

A good Leatherface.
-
It can be pure misery sometimes, I agree. However, I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't imagine partying up with other players with the same skill as me against killers. That would make games favored to us, which would bore me. I'd rather take the gamble and see what I get solo. Are some matches #########? Yes. Lots of them. But... I'll take the ups and downs over the constant advantage/win rate if I were to party up.
-
Well, I take my previous comment back. I'm actually halfway done with tome 2. I managed to get the dark sense challenge done on my first try. Bond + a tool box is a must.
-
Usually for me on rank reset day it's nothing but ebony mori's everywhere. Thankfully this time I haven't ran into a single mori which is very shocking to me lol.
-
The pallet one is going to take me forever because I try not to waste much pallets during a chase. :(
Still, something to work towards to.
-
I liked the teaser and I'm hyped about it.

PS4, West Coast, USA
Survivor (Rank 1) - 10-15+ minutes. Sometimes longer with all these errors or lobby dodges. Solo survivor.
Killer (Rank 9) - 2 mins tops.
-
It's always a roll of the dice whether or not you're going to get good team mates or not as a solo survivor. By default, I always run DS and Dead Hard for my perks with the other two always being a mix of whatever I want. DS and DH are a requirement to stand my own ground as a solo during the trial especially in red ranks where I always end up every season. I haven't used selfish care in forever now and it's made me a lot better at the game. I wish everyone would follow suit, but unfortunately lots of people still rely on it and it's what causes a loss for the survivors the majority of the time.
It truly is heartbreaking when you, as a solo, is buying your team time to repair the last generators and once you're downed, you see them self care instead of doing gens making your chase 100% wasted. :(
-
Trapper boy is best boy!
-
The killer dodging the lobby is infuriating. Pick a certain character with certain outfits? Dodge. Bring items? Dodge. Enter the lobby at the same time as others even though I'm solo? Dodge.
I would not have a problem with killers dodging the lobby if the matchmaking did not take FOREVER to find a match as a survivor on PS4. But it does. Just now I've been trying to find a match as a survivor for the past 20 minutes and finally connect to one. What happens? Lobby dodge. Geez.
-
As a solo, I use meta perks the majority of the time. When I don't run them, I get severely punished for it.
For instance: in the rare occasions that no one uses DS and the killer doesn't have any obsession perks so NO ONE is an obsession, guess what happens? A survivor is hooked and then tunneled off the hook the majority of the time because the killer knows he can't get punished for it. I get why they do it, I mean why wouldn't they go for the unhooked survivor knowing they are not going to get punished by DS?
-
Tier 31, all challenges done.
-
As Trapper, catching the last survivor who was playing toxic all match in a bear trap like 4 feet away from the hatch.
-
As a solo, I guess you can say I'm a team player and gen jockey. I can hold my own in a chase and buy my team mates some time to repair generators. I will go out of my way to make sure no one enters the struggle phase in their first hook, even if it means sacrificing myself in addition to taking hits for a survivor. I will prioritize gens instead of healing you if it is almost done. I run leader instead of prove thyself and try to maximize its effectiveness by sticking near team mates in the most crucial times (totems, healing, opening exit gates). If there's two of us left and the killer hooks me, I will gladly not struggle to try and give you the hatch; that is, if you were actually being helpful during the match. If you weren't I will struggle until the end in the hopes the killer catches you.
-
Agreed. The game needs console love in terms of optimization. The fact that there's a memory leak making you HAVE to restart your console to make it go away is a bit absurd. Wish the developers would be more open to discuss about it.
-
Solo survivor can be an absolute miserable experience. Not only do you have to worry about potential useless team mates, but sometimes SWF will screw you over badly. So you're not just up against the killer, you're up against your own team mates too. I am a main solo survivor and I can tell you that even in red ranks, it's amazing how much useless team mates you can get. PS4.
-
I was learning her on PS4 previously and was starting to get the hang of the blinks. Tried her today because I wanted to equip her hallowed blight cosmetic and got absolutely crushed. I find it even more frustrating to play with the way she currently is.
-
I love the new hair and outfit. One of my favorite cosmetics in the game.
-
Last year with the whole harvesting of the nectar was frankly terrible. Lots of disconnections or signaling the killer to 1 hook them once survivors collected their vial. Personally I was not a fan of it because no one did the objective for survivors. Killers didn't have to worry about anything because all they had to do was hook on event hooks, which weren't able to be sabotaged. That was already in line with their objective.
I much prefer the lantern one for new years.
This Halloween event isn't the most exciting, but at least survivors are doing gens and have an incentive to look for the event gens for those extra BP. Would it have been nice to have gotten something different? Yes. Do I want something like harvesting nectar from last year's event? No thanks.
I am not going to vote on this poll as I feel that my personal opinion does not reflect any of the poll options.
-
It's happened to me before. I have no idea how it triggered, but I bet that it was probably an accidental thing that happened.
-
Whenever there's a double BP event in this game, the majority tend to play killer because killer gets way more BP than survivors, thus increasing the queue times.
-
This one was not an issue for me. I burned a purple coin and just started looking for chests to loot. I used plunderers, pharmacy, and Ace in the Hole. It should be the first thing you do in the trial.
If I see someone in the lobby burn a purple coin or a yellow one, I will not loot chests.
-
As a solo survivor these challenges will be impossible to complete for me. I hope the developers reconsider some of these challenges and keep the solo players in mind. They wouldn't be too bad if they were NOT required to do in a single trial.
-
For me it's always been Leader. Used it on Dwight every single match and even up to this day, I still use it on Dwight! I know Prove Thyself is better, but I love running Leader with Bond for those faster team heals and faster opening of the exit gates!
For Killer, Unnerving Presence. Love the icon and love catching survivors off guard with it. Combine it with overcharge and it works wonders!
-
As a solo survivor I share the same sentiment as you with reaching rank 1 every season. It definitely is a personal goal of mine to reach it at least once per season. As a solo, I'm sure everyone knows how much of a gamble everything is when it comes to your team mates and the type of killer you get. I can definitely say without a doubt that teaching red ranks every season teaches me a lot of new things and how to properly manage my time in game. There are not a lot of variety in killers at red ranks, so it's definitely an accomplishment when you can escape the hardest of killers on a trial.

I'm glad they got the update ready for tomorrow. However, even if they had not announced anything until next week I would have been just fine with it. I'm an adult and understand delays can happen and have no problem waiting if it means some issues may get resolved. It was embarrassing reading some of the entitled posts in these forums over the delay and I do not even want to imagine what these forums would have looked like had nothing got announced this week. We all have to remember that we are all human, even the developers who are always working hard behind the scenes for their self and families.
So from an adult's perspective, I want to thank the developers for their continued support of this game. It's a game I can relax to after a super long day at work and the fact that it continues getting support, events, and developer update videos is something no other company does for this length period of time. So devs, thanks for all your hard work and continued support!
-
I always cleanse them as a solo survivor. It's the first thing I'll do. Don't care if the killer doesn't have NOED. It rewards 1k BP so why wouldn't I do it? I will definitely go out of my way to find them if a killer at red ranks doesn't use ruin. That's always an instant NOED most of the time.
-
On PS4, I have messaged a couple of killers who were being nice or played extremely well to compliment them. Not a lot, but I have. Killers have messaged me before saying good game and I reply back to them saying good game as well. I don't play toxic, play solo, and hardly use insta heals or keys for survivor. If anything, I've had other survivors send hate mail instead of killers. They were probably SWF.

Please make matchmaking faster on PS4...
