  • You say you did pretty well with Leatherface, so try to master Billy, the better form of Leatherface. Doesn’t take too long and he is the most viable killer in my opinion. Not add-on or perk dependent and is a top threat to any survivor.

You’ll also have to grind your way to some good perks eventually (besides Enduring as it comes with Billy) such as; Hex: Ruin, Bamboozle, BBQ, MYC (excellent on Billy), Nurses Calling, Sloppy Butcher.

Some people will learn at a different pace, be patient and put in the time. Eventually you’ll be able to predict survivors moves and memorize most of the maps layouts and where the next vault/pallet will be.

    Good luck!

  • It’s better for killers than it’s EVER been. Seriously idk how I put up with it before lol

meanwhile, a lot of survivors have had to learn to adapt to their nerfs or be wedded out. SWF is probably the direction this game seems to be headed.

Overall, it’s more balanced then it’s ever been but there’s definitely stuff that needs to be worked on/improved such as hitboxes, some infinites still, bloodlust (wether it’s necessary or not and how much/when should it activate), pallet/ hook minimum distance, etc.

  • I’m okay with the change. I would still get the 1000 points though right? Also I have over 60 Eboni’s on my Billy, which I don’t use cause they’re not fun and don’t require much skill.

  • Yet you fail to justify the reason behind the action speed penalty. If the broken status effect isn’t good enough for you, then maybe you should go chase someone else and stop requesting buffs so immediately.

  • And I think all steaks should be cooked medium-rare so what does that tell you.

A M1 chase is bad for a killer because at that point, you're hoping that the survivor makes a mistake. It's the same reason why Freddy can be looped so easily because he has power to help himself during a chase. Again, that's why some M1 killers use Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, and etc.

Also, I don't know what you're trying to say in this quote, "also a no skill (in my opinion) quick M2 justifies the”forced” chase."

Now about the last part, same thing, you'll have chases that won't be easy to win because you're a M1 killer. During the time you're trying to down the survivor, other survivors are doing generators.

Yes but none of this chase stuff is NEW. Chasing an injured survivor who’s good at looping (while injured from an M2 button), while the others are doing gens is not a reason to penalize a survivor. I feel like your argument is turning into a buff for failing to play strategically as a killer.

Okay, let's use a scenario to make things simple. You as a killer spawn in, find me, then puke on me until I'm broken but, however, since you don't have Corrupted Purge, you cannot down me with your puke so you're forced to do a regular M1 chase until I make a mistake. Let's say I eventually make a mistake, I get hooked and saved later, I won't cure myself because that would be giving you Corrupted Purge which allows you to down me with your puke so if you ever find me again, I'll just loop you again until I make a mistake. Do you see it? Your chase strength is a Trapper without traps because I'm denying you your Corrupted Purge. If ever survivor does the same thing, half of your power is useless because the punishment of being fully infected doesn't force us to cure ourselves. We can still loop you so that's why I'm suggesting that survivors suffer a 25% or 50% action penalty whenever they are fully infected (at the cost of taking longer to fully infect a survivor). This will force survivors to cure themselves because they can rush generators faster if they do which will grant your Corrupted Purge.

With this change, a good looping survivor can still destroy you if you're stupid enough to continue that chase. Therefore, you want to infect the survivor, wait for them to cure themselves so they don't suffer the debuff, then you can get your Corrupted Purge.

”forced to do a regular M1 chase” nothing new.

also a no skill (in my opinion) quick M2 justifies the”forced” chase.

I understand where you’re coming from saying, “you don’t have to cure yourself if you can just loop after being hooked, but you would also infect your team if you don’t. Leaving you, as a killer, with plenty of room to start a new chase.

You're not understanding number 1, you can't DOWN survivors with Corrupted Purge if they don't cure themselves. The side effects of being fully infected isn't enough to get a survivor to cure themselves because they can get more value from looping you. Being broken doesn't mean anything if you can't get hit and keep in mind that you're a M1 killer until a survivor cures themselves.

Number 2, I agree but I feel like they should have to work for it just a little more by slightly increasing the time it takes to cure yourself.

What does that have to do with looping, why should they receive a penalty? Are they not risking being downed in one hit by not healing? Also, If you’re being looped for that long, maybe you should chase someone else or risk the game.

  • I’m a bit confused about your “problem” number 1. Are you saying if survivors are good at looping they should receive a penalty just because? The Plague IS able to down survivors with her vomit FYI.

As far as “problem” number 2, I believe the free range hit from the vomit justifies the insta heal from the fountain, so long as it only heals them if they’re infected from it.

It sounds like it really lets you keep momentum as long as you're not playing like a jerk which I'm excited for. Did the skill check get easier or harder btw?

It’s a tad bit bigger than Overcharge at Tier 1

  • No it’s not. It would actually allow a Mori to happen

  • Skins are cool, but thinking logically the best return on your investment would be to go for the DLC to get your shards worth.

  • Matt says a lot of things like,“no more exclusive skins.” I’m sure you all remember that, but just remember PC got to have exclusive masks from pre-ordering Death Garden AFTER the “no more exclusive skins” for any platform talk.

  • I see as much noed as I do DS. I wouldn’t say it needs a nerf to the instadown, but definitely to the speed boost.

  • It sounds good on paper but if I see 1 BPS from a survivor and no one else besides me and him/her, you can bet I’m putting on my tryhard goggles.

  • You’re telling me you can’t find one single survivor? All this effort you could’ve pushed them out the gates already.

  • Yeah looks improved to me

Really doesn't provide much incentive to go out and do this event.

Why when I can just pick them up whenever?

More importantly why are Exclusive skins no longer a thing?

I missed out on quite a few events in the past, and it sucks. Sucks that I didn't have a chance to earn those cosmetics, and yet it was that alone, that made me grind out last years chinese new year cosmetics.

    Why?

Because it would give me something to show off.

I love my Wolf Mask for Huntress. Why? Because not everyone has it, and not everyone will EVER have it. That's the way current event skins should be.

Even keeping the option to just BUY them is fine, but PLEASE remove them from the shop after the event.

Thank you, someone who doesn’t think you should just buy a skin whenever you feel like it. Glad the Huntress, Feng and David skins are gone from last year.
  • The basement itself is already a reward for the killer, be thankful you have a consistent variable in every map to strategize with.
  • Are you playing solo or SWF?

Solo lo I can find matches and from about 1 to 3 minutes

SWF is anywhere from 5-20 minutes or more
  • I never had the problem until recently. I couldn't even be within 5 inches of the pallet without it sucking me into the stun stopping me dead in my tracks. Used to be able to swing into a pallet but now..idk. Guess it's time to play survivor for a while.

I still get hit after dropping a pallet/while dropping it as a survivor so idk man
  • Not just that, I seem to run into the same people all the time in red ranks, as if no one else plays the game. Seems like there’s too much competition and too many other great games out there for people to want to stick around for this game...
  • Trapper starts with all the traps on the map.
    Trapper can reset disarmed traps.
Traps hitbox and trap size needs an increase.
Escaping from a trap will no longer be rng but take 10 seconds freeing yourself or 5 seconds with a teammate.
Trapper no longer steps in his own traps. (How tf does he steps in the traps he places? Really stupid)
Dead hard no longer works on traps. (How does some dash to evade a lunge magically make your foot invulnerable from armed bear traps #########?)
Trapper gets a 10% movement speed for 5 seconds when a trap is triggerd or disarmed.

I’m cool with all of this except for the Speed Boost and Dead Hard one, might be a bit too much if we have to start buffing survivor perks if Trapper receives all these buffs.

the sped buff seems unjustified, almost like a “speed buff just because my trap was disarmed” kind of thing.

You might be putting too much of an emphasis on bragging rights/earning things. IDK. I buy skins, I bought an event skin for an event I missed because I was taking a break from DBD--and I earned my skin. I earned it by having a job and disposable income, hahaha (which also means that I couldn't grind my way through getting a fancy event skin through the event, so).

you are right about this, but can't you understand people who spend hours over hours to play this game like crazy to earn their skins and then a guy with a good job just comes 3 weeks later and buys all the skins (worth probably 1 hour of his work time) without having touched the game at all? Seems a little unrewarding for those who played right?

This is EXACLTY what I mean. Some games reward people who put in the grind while still offering similar or many other items to veterans and newbies alike.

Who said they have to look cool? Exclusives are exclusives regardless of their appeal. If you like paying for stuff that’s fine but I’d rather earn mine.

Only for event exclusives, even if it’s just one item. I’d like to think you can earn things that others simply cannot put in a couple dollars for. Even then, there are PLENTY more purchasable cosmetics in the store.

Yes, deny other people cool looking cosmetics that they would probably enjoy wearing because you want your "bragging rights". Exclusive content should come in the form of emblems or something like CSGO's event coins or Steam's "X years of service" medals. Actual in game content like skins or cosmetics being exclusive is the definition aids.

Well people with good jobs don't have the time to go through all the painful grind this game has to offer. Some people have 2-3 hours to play each day or even less. Some can only play on weekends or whenever they have day-offs. Why should they be punished because they have lives and responsibilities to take care of? I personally think wanting to make such cosmetics exclusive is quite selfish, disdainful and envious to a certain degree.

You’re looking at this completely wrong. No one is being punished for not attending the event, rather the ones who made the time and put in the grind are being rewarded. If you want to purchase cosmetics go ahead, but don’t paint yourself as a victim of selfishness.

  • don't understand the want for more exclusively in thing bragging really?geeze I love to have the last year lunar event items and really that be it. don't want the legacy items like I said in another thread the legacy items/bloody item are like putting a target on your back trying to show off what other can't have or don't have yet(bloody items)that how exclusive items will become I don't like exclusive thing just messed up for new player who started late.

I’m guessing you haven’t played this game more than a year? You seem very open to purchasing items VS playing for them. You see there are people who’ve been playing this game 3+ years so yeah some of us would like some exclusives.

I would prefer if they just changed every year. Kind of gives people who’ve been playing the game longer a little more bragging rights. Kind of sad to see no one has to even be “present” to the event anymore only to be able to purchase them shortly after.

so you mean no old skins but only new skins each year and only obtainable during event period? I would like this as wel but I don't think the devs would agree with that cuz they wanna sell old skins too.

they might actually make MORE money that way, with customers seeing as they are limited time buys.

Doesn’t bother me, wasn’t my decision to buff it in the first place. Not sure what you’re trying to get at

Im not sure I’d call it abuse as much as SWF is abuse lmao.
That's why i said players instead of killers or survivors.
Personally, when i play with friends, they are all rank 1 as well, we don't mess with the matchmaking system.
I’m sill Rank 1 survivor so don’t get me wrong. Just something about Rank 1 Killer became more of a part time job than an actual game. Felt like a government employee at the moment lol
  • If you're hanging back to fight low rank survivors, I'd appreciate it if you could pull punches some so everyone has some fun, and comes out with BP.

Maybe let people go if you are going to depip. Hook, but don't sacrifice, or something.

    No need to bully them.

Frankly going down just to merc less prepared survivors, and you have no chill, it is kinda scummy.

And I honestly cannot think of one good reason you should go back to rank 1.

8, 5, maybe so you're not annihilating people looking for fun and still having some, maybe.
I do go easier, I’ll even bring in BPS, don’t use Ruin, Noed, or any other meta perks. In fact my build has been quite laughable.

    Distressing
    Thrill of the Hunt
    BBQ
    Bitter Murmur

at least two people escape my games, best of all I’ve had one t bagger since the rank reset. Everyone else is a gg message or don’t start anything.

  • TLDR: A "first hook" rescue should automatically have a 10 second borrowed time effect (that would stack with the perk) to discourage camping/tunneling and reduce toxicity in the game.

I think this is fair, but it shouldn’t apply once the exit gates are open.

I think it would be a fun solution to try out that could actually make both sides happier. And it's much easier to reuse assets rather than create brand new objectives to make the game longer.

Built in noed would make both sides happy, you must be talking about a different game.
  • I feel like Legion and Nurse are the only ones who can actually defend Ruin and keep it running longer than most killers. Try playing without it a couple of games though and judge for yourself.
  • I play on Xbox too and I didn’t have any crash problems either, asides the normal not loading games every once in a while. I still managed to get both skins though.

He says it only takes three frenzy hits (in total) to down a survivor, regardless of the add-ons.
Wait, but in the second video that you gave, doesn't it take 4 hit total to get survivor from healthy to dying? (3 hit from injured to dying.)
I’ll have to watch it again but I believe it is 3
