You know for a bit I was actually avoiding playing nurse because she seemed way too complex and disorienting but after playing a couple games with her I can say she feels the most satisfying to play. Landing successful blink attacks are genuinely some of the most fun i've had since I started playing killer. Outside of that though for some reason Billy makes me very anxious and I have no idea why.

Actually Sweet Tooth has a similar body type as the Clown or nearly the same. It would be an easy premium skin.
I’d say sweet tooth is a little more buff. He's built like a wrestler. Stocky and wide with a gut.
-
Sweet Tooth on trapper yet we have a literal clown in game? big think. But yes with the new TV series coming out I think it would be excellent for at the VERY least a skin.
-
Okay lets do that so when you have 4 people all running the same character you can never complain about tunneling again. Literally just stop putting your ttv in your username and your problem is solved.
-
I think dcs should automatically count as hooks for perks like these otherwise id just add maybe team wide aura reading since the obsession can frequently be the one on hook if say you run it with pwyf, stbfl, or nemesis even
-
Probably good on ranged killers like trickster and huntress who can pressure hooks from afar. The scourge basement hooks is the real meat and potatoes though.

Like i said before, i don't want to win all the time, that would be boring.. I don't mind dying, what i dislike is repeatedly getting rofl stomped in 80-90% of my solo q games. I don't have a hissy fit every time I lose, but if i can play 15 games with no survivals (13 of those games being 4ks or 3 k hatch games) it's a pretty ######### experience.
Plus it confuses me that you say on one hand that vc would be useless and toxic, then on the other hand say you're worried that it'd turn soloq survivor teams into a sweaty seal team 6's, which is it?
Because the reality in my experience of online gaming with vc, is a middle ground, maybe 10-15% of players utilise VC properly in most games (not screaming, singing or mouthbreathing down the mic) and for people who do use it to make callouts, everyone in their team can hear them.
All i want to see is for solo q games to have some kind of basic communication so the entire team doesn't run arpund like headless chickens because atm solo q games feel like 1v1v1v1v1. Passing on a few basic bits of information wouldn't suddenly result in solo q being equivalent to sweaty swf groups.
i come from csgo, league, and overwatch, you can have both trust me. Just like i said people will be toxic if you don’t participate, they will be toxic if you do participate. You’ll have people who throw because you dont wanna play by their stupid rules and people who rage quit and throw slurs around because you made a single mistake. Hell there are people on this forum who literally say they leave lobbies if there’s a survivor below prestige 3. If you really want to be able to communicate with your teammates, just find a swf. Its not even a matter of how many friends you have, there’s a dozen if not hundreds of discord’s dedicated to dbd streamers who have L4G voice chats. Wanting to communicate with potentially everyone all the time is not feasible or a good use of Bhvrs time.

Every game with VC has a mute function. That can be used in seconds. Toxicity is only a problem for 3 seconds unless you're too lazy to press a button.
As for not helping bad players it wouldn't help in every single solo q match obvsly. But conversely you can't say it wouldn't help any match. I've given people advice after matches via xbl DMs, both as a survivor teammate and when I've played killer against the player. And it's often been well recieved and appreciated.
A lot of solo q games would massively benefit from a single player saying "hey I'll get the unhook, I'm running perks for it, you can keep working gens" it would stop these situations I see frequently where 3 players go for unhook and end up getting 2 players hooked to unhook one. Or "don't do that gen, we'll end up in a 3 gen situation" would also benefit a lot of games for unorganised solo q survivors. Even with language barriers and players not using mics, just hearing callouts like this would be enough to give more low mmr solo q survivors a slightly better chance of not getting 4Kd as is the norm right now. Atm the only way we can communicate is to point, beckon and spam the crouching/torches. Hell I'd even love to see a universal ping system with a rotary wheel and a few basic pings like, i will unhook, killer chasing me, do gens. Or even just a system that lets you see the perks your team mates are running so you don't double stack things like kindred and you have an idea of how they'll play.
Why would bhvr design, test, and implement a feature to “help” survivors when most of them are going to outright ignore it whether due to toxicity or because they just don't care. I think a big thing to help solo queue and the game health as a whole is to get away from this competitive mindset of wins = fun. People giving up on first hook, dcing on first down. That crap is what really needs solving. Not only that but i would never bother playing survivor again if everyone all the sudden became an overwatch squad ready to treat every game like a tactical comp match. The most fun I’ve had in dbd is as solo survivor where me and 3 others pull off great plays without even an ounce of communication. Thats the fun, not escaping.

Yeah, you can't fix bad players but adding an optional VC would allow people who, ya know, actually want to win to be able to communicate.
Then you’re going to have people who are toxic because you don’t want to participate. Also I’d love to get vocally called slurs in vc and have 0 way to prove who said them so I can’t even properly file a report. Lets just not bother with the option all together. The game isn’t unwinnable without voice chat.

sliding on walls, old j flick (despite devs claimed that it was fixed i still have people doing in)
Sliding on walls isn’t inherently an exploit. Some walls are slippery. Try playing blight and see how many things you literally just cant bounce off of. I suggest ormond and auto haven.

Justvwish bhvr would give solo q vc. It would stop killers stomping solo q games. Swfs certainly don't need anyhelp. It's new players in teams that have no co-ordination that are getting stomped. VC would help with that and make survivor more appealing to play.
no because i dont need more toxicity in this game and giving people a way to be more toxic is not the solution also this doesnt fix bad players.

I mean you should never lock both. If he teleports to it, its going to send him out of either one, He’ll see the lock and break it. Effectively wasting it.
-
I’m assuming this is a reference to the many posts we get about killer “crutches” but also people seem to forget that in the development days there was a plan to make it so survivors fatigued. Making them run slower the longer they ran, everyone also had a built in sprint burst. This was of course scrapped but I’d be curious to see how it would fit in now as i think it would add for more survivor skill expression.

In this scenario there was no winning option. All 3 gens were super close to each other. That's a forced 3gen with no counterplay.
Funny how all the NO comments are from killer mains.
Just because you dont like the answer doesn’t mean they are wrong. 3 gens are beatable, even against plague. If its a solo queue game and you or your teammates aren’t up to snuff to handle it then sorry about your bad luck.

Yeah no thanks. No fnaf please. Same goes for conventional horror movie icons like Dracula or Werewolves. Way too corny and wouldn't be done well.

Cheaters never left. There was a big wave of them, mostly blatant ones, shortly after the midchapter patch but nowadays you're mostly look for subtle cheaters which most players won't notice.

Short queues mean there's a lack of people playing on that side.
Glass half empty. It could mean there's too many people on the other side. The game has a 4:1 ratio requirement of people with killer being the role that actually has gameplay variation. It's no surprise that killers outweigh survivors

I have every single survivor achievement, done in solo Q, Even did "Where did they go" in solo Q when this achievement still existed.
Survivor achievements barely have any difficulty, all you gotta do for adepts is to escape, for killer you have to get a perfect game.
Some killer adepts are easier, some are harder, for survivor they're all basically the same.
I wish they made some more challenging survivor achievements, cuz i'm an achievement hunter and i ran out of them too fast xDD
People forget killer adepts require a “perfect” game in every sense of the word especially at Iri ranks. Survivors can’t do gens. Survivors can’t heal or leave. You also can’t spend too much time near hooks. You also can’t “lose” chases. Survivors also HAVE to unhook or else you wont get points for hooking. It’s amazing how stringent the requirements are yet they are all dependent on how good the survivors are rather than how good you as a killer are.

I dont think Philly is ghostface’s best addon, its just his most consistent. Stuff like drop leg sheath, drivers license, or security camera are way better.

if you really can't deal with merciless storm, let go of the gen instead for 0 regression. It still blocks the gen but it doesn't explode.

Yes, that's my point. Windows having a high usage rate doesn't make it good.
The difference is, it's a perk. There's horrible perks out there that are never used, if WoO wasn't good it wouldn't be one of the highest used perks. You can CHOOSE a perk you can't choose the players.

The only generator trap setting perk is “fixed” when the second generator trap perk is introduced. It’s almost revisiting the generator trap mechanic prompted the devs to make changes.
Even its not for the reason I mentioned, Blast Mine’s nerf is extremely likely to be connected to Wiretap’s introduction.
Again a dev literally said they only noticed the bug because they were tasked with making sure that wiretap and blast mine WORKED together. He fixed it seemingly unprompted and I imagine it was only left in because it was filed under a bug fix rather than a nerf. I'm sure a revert is in the not too distance future. Save the conspiracy theories please.
-
I don't see what information it really gives by itself if the killer doesn't appear around the gen, the gen turns yellow that's it. There are at least 4 perks i can think of off the top of my head that turn a gen yellow for survivors with one of them being wiretap. There's also blast mine itself, better together, and the forgotten trail of torment. A dev has also been quoted as saying it was a bug that has been in the game since blast mine's release, why he felt the need to fix it I don't know, but that is the information he gave. It had nothing to do with wiretap specifically, let's stop theorizing.

Tested and confirmed. I don't understand why they bothered adding a physical graphic to it if the killer cannot see it. We already see the aura. No reason for there to be a physical grenade on top for us. I just assumed it was there for the killer to be able to counter it. That is nonsensical.
to let the survivors know it's already mined. If two people with blast mine are on a gen then one would be confused as to why it's not working.

It was something I noticed since my friend and I ran what I called the "A-hole" build after the first RE chapter. Head-on, quick and quiet, flashbang, and blast mine.
Typically we only used it for blind or stin challenges or when we get sick of being camped or tunneled. At least if we get camped/tunneled after a couple head on/flashbang combos, we get it. We earned it.
But yeah, there's a little flashbang grenade on top of the gen with a little bit of smoke when it's trapped. I bet wire tap has some kind of similar tell, but I haven't used it since the PTB, so I haven't looked.
The killer cannot see that btw. The flashbang on the gen is only survivor sided.

My brother really took a video from Scott and made it into a post.
It’s funny because every time I’ve viewed his content it’s just him describing a killer he’s facing as boring. He tweeted out the other day that wesker is the most fun killer in dbd which means we can expect a “wesker is boring” comment in the not too distant future when a strat becomes popular.

Whenever I read a complaint about boring killers, I instantly have to think about how interesting running in circles around a rock feels.
Interactive holding mouse one gameplay on gens! Do gens as fast as possible get out quickly weeeeeee. Survivors really have no place to speak from when it comes to boring gameplay. From my perspective, unless that killer is boring because they always win and are actually broken, there is no problem and it’s just burn out and i would suggest a break from dbd
-
Do perks that aren't meta need buffs or is it just because the perks are made for specific situations. People run sprint burst, adrenaline, dead hard, prove thyself, unbreakable, Circle of Healing, etc. because they apply to every situation. we don't need to make EVERY perk do that.

As much as I would love another hellraiser, their are so many cool killers I would like to see. Dracula and werewolf leap out.
I understand that they are horror staples but i really hope they stay away from conventional cryptids and horror monsters. As skins i dont mind, but as killers they are going to be out of place and goofy.
-
yes I would assume it because it is one of the best survivor perks in the game and there's no reason to not bring it. It's like trying to slug a Bill, why would you take that chance.
-
I mean…why? Like i guess its good with saves and ds, but it wouldn’t matter much with blast-mine and would be unusable with head on. There aren’t many ways to stun to begin with so I don’t see why it’d need to affect other stuns.

If you wanted to report someone who isn't on Steam you had to put in the player name. Now you use whatever name is shown instead, and presumably with the new system you don't even need to do that anymore.
Why do you think anonymous mode gives immunity to bans?
🦆🦂
I would say that anonymous mode piles onto the notion that hackers face no to little repercussions. Most players, aside from streamers and potentially console players with consoles that have recording software, are not going to have software at the ready to record all their matches in case of a potential hacker. Hackers using anonymous mode just further taints the good will that people had as now you cant even report them via steam, or other platforms, which from my experience has been way more effective.
-
What's funny to me is I did the orange glyph before it was changed. I never personally felt sick or dizzy and I didn't really notice the weird screen effects. However this new version actually made me a feel nauseous. Moving in slow motion basically was very jarring and it seemed to be affecting things it's not supposed to. My abilities seemed to take longer to charge up and use. I don't think I'm gonna bother trying again.
-
I think it's affecting things it shouldn't be. I had a doctor game it took me much longer to charge my blasts and shock than it normally does

Fear mongering. No one wants your IP. The only players who really have to worry about network related vulnerabilities is big content creators.
This is a horrible mentality when crazy people exist. This game has an anonymous mode now, you can get ddosed for winning the game and you'll have no idea who did it. Don't be a jerk about it.
-
Glad someone else noticed this. I've had several games where I got no incentive despite starting the match with at least some incentive. This has happened to me on both sides.

Its anonymous mode. You turn it on and it doesn't show your name in game.

It does, but you have to heal a tiny bit before it will proc the endurance otherwise it won't.

You are arguing, that people used DH to gain distance to a pallet. You are absolutely correct. No one is claiming otherwise.
BUT the new DH is stronger in the regard, that you gain a longer distance after getting hit. Its superior in that regard, than the old DH.
It still requires you to get hit though. You can't just use it to get the pallet or window like you could with old dead hard you have to BE HIT. That's their point. Old dead hard didn't require you to properly dodge a hit to make distance you could just make distance.

i was referring to cheaters actually who timed perfectly dead hard every time that you swing (you can be behind them for 30 minutes but they'll activate it only the moment that the killer will swing). even otz made a video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaQmtvlCJqM
Swinging in a manner that wouldn’t hit will still proc their auto dead hard script. This happens in Otz’s video too
-
I think you have to shine a flashlight at it

The devs don't ignore it, they only do what is allowed by the license holder. The remake was a flop made by hacks who had 0 respect for the franchise and led by a major production company that has 0 respect for the franchises it owns. Warner brothers doesn't care, freddy is a gimmick and is dead an buried in a vault full of failed reboots and classic cartoons
-
Breakdown is extremely underrated. It's a good counter to tunneling, it's a good counter to scourge hooks, it's a good counter to camping. Getting rid of a hook for 3 whole minutes is massive, especially on indoor maps like midwich and RPD. While I don't think it's really slept on, corrupt intervention is still really good but I see so many people go for the first down instead of trying to injury everyone and make the most of the timer. I use it on clown with with the sulfuric acid vial to make healing take longer and i try to injure everyone. With 3 gens you know they can't be on, you only have to check 4 and they are all on the same side of the map usually. By the time Corrupt is about the expire I'm usually midchase and can safely down having made the most of the timer.
-
I think the "well tombstone tier 3 takes a long time to get." is honestly an outdated excuse when you have slowdown like corrupt and deadlock in play. Not only that but it also makes solo queue a nightmare and turns any game into an insta-loss because someone wanted to be "hahah funny me tbag slowpoke myers." It's an obnoxious mess and the fact that you can go the ENTIRE GAME without seeing michael once only to have your teammates spoon-feed him stalk then get mori'd at the exit gate is so outdated and broken.
-
it sucks cuz i had one from the double bp dailies. I don’t even know if they’ll even fix it in a timely manner so should I even bother keeping it.
-
Basekit BT was a bad idea only for the fact that now more people want more perks to become basekit. No, don't make a basekit reassurance, you bring the perk and you use it when you have to. There's over 100 survivor perks and all of them are good for something. Can you bring them all at once? no because that is the point. You can't and shouldn't have all your bases covered in this game, but you can do what you think is best for YOU. Make your build for the experience you commonly see and for what you personally want to do. Don't ask for things to be basekit just because you don't wanna throw a "wasted" perk slot in with your 3 meta perks.

Hell nah, I am horrible at survivor. I am not about to play without hearing a terror radius. Maybe if it is a killer with a lullaby I will leave it alone, but otherwise, I am going to get rid of it. Can't you get rid of Pentimento anyway? I feel like I only ran into it once and it was such a non-issue as we rushed gens regardless.
you can get rid of pentimento unless they big brain save pentimento until all 5 totems are broken, then at 5 pentimento tokens all totems are blocked. That being said that would require at least 3 hex perks, unless they break dull totems for no reason.
