Twins & Billy are the least played in my matches.
-
Lucky you, i would never be mad with a facecamping tunnel bubba (For real).
That's a true bubba right there, respect <3
-
For me it was midwich, i literally got this map 5 games in a row with no offerings.
I just had to put map offerings afterwards because if i got one more midwich, i would have gone crazy :D
-
I usually die to this strat not because it's strong.
It's just SOOOO boring that i just play recklessly to die and move on to next game.
It reminds me of the dedicated 3 gen doctors back in the days.
-
Oh yeah, i know that soloQ cycle. Once you are down to that low MMR swamp, it usually keeps dragging you down :D
You either have to entirely carry the game with chases and finish 2-3 gens or you play SWF to carry you to High MMR. No other options.
-
With sole survivor or wake up it could take like 15-16 seconds.
And if am in that situation, i usually open the gate up till ~20ish percent before any lights turn on. Wait for your patrol, then proceed with the rest of the progress.

Or...You could run it. And stop asking for things to be basekit
Or you could think for a second, what happens when i run it as soloQ ? Sure it will proc when am hooked but there are other 3 soloQ who i don't control their perks.
It's funny how people complain daily about SWF but they refuse any QoL that could narrow the gap with SoloQ. OP even said it doesn't have to show the killer's aura, so it's not entirely a kindred basekit and it will not add to SWF by any means since they are already coordinated.

I'm someone who is aggressively average at the game so I don't really sway to either side of the dbd pendulum here. From my years of casual play and discourse with others about the game i find more people will play killer rather than survivor. The reasons given are usually the same throughout: "I like to feel as if I won when I play", "My teammates generally let me down or I do them when i play survivor", and "killers are just more unique to play".
That last one really sticks with me. Every survivor is no different from one another. Of course you can factor in how quiet and hit noise (looking at you bill) in saying they are different but none really play differently to each other the way that killers do. I will agree with BHVR that the incentive is good to have to get more people into the needed roll, but it's almost always for survivors. How would we go about fixing this? What could possibly work to make them more unique to each other while keeping balance in the game?
My idea(which may not even be good): have each one have a perk from their set be base kit on them specifically.
While this may be an absolute dumb idea I believe it would essentially create a playstyle from that particular character while still giving them the ability to build either with it or whatever they want. Some people may ignore such a thing, while others strive to min/max their character in a build.
What do you guys think?
Although i don't have any counter idea to offer but yours was stated multiple times and it will not work for one big reason.
Yes, We will make each survivor unique but on the other hand many survivors will literally retire from matches due to their mediocre perks. So am guessing over 50% of your matches will have Claudettes, megs, David & Zarina for their basekit perks.

Hide in lockers.
Reverse psychology, he won't see it coming :P

My only take about his huge TR is that i have to endure the heartbeat most of the match ZzzzZ

whats wrong with face camping i do it all the time
Hell yeah, i mainly play survivor but facecamping killers are the ultimate satisfaction.
And if it's a basement bubba with insidious, cherry on top <3

It would be cool if they could just put a bot in to replace the dc or just the match ends coz 3v1 is rubbish. But I don't blame people for dc'ing. They're playing for fun and they're not having a good time. Your match where they DC for making a mistake is probably the last straw after a lot of matches of unfun games and they've had enough. There's also probably loads of reasons people DC not to do with rage quitting either. ie game crash, food delievery, popping to the loo, mum says get off the pc loool, making a youtube video and not getting the content they need! just guesses but I'm sure there's a lot.
How about if someone DC during the first minute, gens required are adjusted accordingly (perhaps 1 gen per DC) ?

Nope. Not at all. I only consider myself part of a team if I am in a SWF. Other than that, all my teammates are disposable potato's
If I want to play a true team game, there's plenty of titles for that. DBD is every man for himself imo, if the killer is slaying the games play out more like a BR than anything
That's mainly the reason why soloQ suck.
-
You invested 840 hours in a game you thought was boring, bit weird don't you think ?
It may be the frustration you get at some games, which is part of DbD. You might wanna be more specific on how it's "boring", this may help you address it more accurately.
-
How did you conclude it was a DDOS ? For all i know, Packet loss could be a crappy internet on your side if it happens that often as you say.
Actually if that is a SWF spending 4 BPS, i hardly doubt they would waste them just because of an early down. Seems a bit exaggerated on your side.
-
While some of your suggestions are fine, them combined is an overkill lol.
-
Nah, i don't remember facing one with Insidious.
I even faced one lately with M&A, since i don't expect it i was out positioned a couple of times.
-
Yeah, I stopped running this perk like 3 years ago. It's one of the best killer perks in the game lol.

i'm pretty sure i'm high MMR, i've 4000 hours in this game and played killer regulary since wesker release. after the disappointment of wesker, i started playing this game very less and less. i just reopened it today and i still get 5000-6000 hours profiles SWFs, tryharding the crap out of this game like their houses were at stake xD so yeah, i pretty figured out i'm high MMR.
You started playing killer regularly after "wesker" release ? And assuming you are high MMR ?
This is a skill issue to me, killers are at there best since 2016 and you have no idea how it even was. You might have won a couple of games normally then got bullied once against a SWF comp (Who may even just be more skillful) and you just blame it all on game & BHVR.
Not saying game is perfect but it's best balanced than ever (SoloQ aside). If you are struggling that much with gens, have 3-4 slowdowns and see how it goes. Either way some killers are bad by design, don't expect to win with a wraith on Game map against SWF at high MMR for example (Some might do here & there).

Still too small, if they'd actually done the reasonable thing and adjusted to 35cm from PTB we'd have the sweet spot but instead we had a certified BHVR moment and had to wait a week for his power to go from broken to just about bearable
We can't expect all hitboxes to be a huntress hatchet, can we ?

Toolboxes are unhealthy atm, they should not affect the repair speed. At least for me.
So toolboxes needs to be reworked. They should protect gen from regression when you use them on gens (for limited time ofcourse, it will depends on quality and charge of toolbox). So they will still be useful. But not unhealthy.
I actually like this, if they have different uses based on rarity that don't affect gen speed.
Perhaps for a limited time, prevent regression/explosion/more skill checks.
I almost never bring a toolbox because it's a boring item to use (yes, a FL/flashbang abuser), unless i find one in a chest and quickly drop it afterwards :D
-
It has counters, though i agree it's a stalling strategy and so boring to play against.
First try to push the middle gen, otherwise it makes it easier to 3 gen imo.
Also keep an eye on where your teammates finish a gen and where the one you working on is, you should always not finish two gens beside each other simultaneously. That said, once you finish a gen don't just go the next one beside it, try to go crossmap and finish one.
It requires game sense & knowledge but definitely counterable.
In the end, if you get 3 gen anyway; You need to work separately on gens. Say 3 survivors left, 1 in chase, other 2 working on 2 different gens.
Good luck!
-
Extend its range or even remove it completely, That's if devs REALLY want to minimize hard/facecamping in soloQ mainly
Other than that, it's useless in soloQ and only useful in SWF which don't even need it to counter camping as they are usually coordinated.
-
If removed, it could actually be a good buff to hex: third seal
-
She needs a complete rework.
Her playstyle is the problem, not the perks/QoL changes. And don't get me wrong, she can't be played any other way so i don't blame those who do but we should fix the main problem.

According to this forum, Killer mains have 100% escape rate when they play Solo Q. Maybe that's the new role you should main now
Yeah i never run to them in my games tbh as a survivor :D unless they are that blendette claiming the hatch and consider it a win.
-
Prove thyself or even overzealous are more reliable and consistent (No RNG required).
It's an overrated build imo.
-
0.5 sec DH with no invulnerability is baited easily and tbh with latency playing a large role, i don't rely on it now.
It only works consistently on new killers, veterans may get baited ONCE per match if any and that's it.
Lithe/SB and even BL are way better options now.
DH will let you down way more times than not.
-
Bad luck, weskers so far are not that tunneling tbh, the majority at least.
-
That whole hidden MMR system is just a way for DEVS to easily control the queue times imo, it has nothing to do with actual skill (Escape/kill is just one aspect to skill).
The pip system with all it's flaws, was better representing the whole set of skills. You get chases ? You do objectives ? Safe unhooks ? sounds like a better skill measure for me. With a few tweaks in numbers, it could have been way better. But like i said, it's easier to control queues that way :)
-
It will find its way in SWF comps, it's hard to use efficiently in soloQ.

Now we just need everyone of these outfits
I wouldn't have high hopes tbh, she is a licensed survivor and they are very strict when it comes to skins :\
-
If i chase a survivor who gave me a hard time for 2 minutes with 1 gen left, while that last survivor was hiding in the corner waiting for hatch without touching a gen. I'll definitely give that survivor a chance to rat the last one and give the hatch to the more deserving one.
-
If his hitboxes are polished, he will be high A tier killer. That's good enough.
-
That's why i usually run to killers at the end, to avoid boring killers like you who would keep slugging for 4k as if it's an e-sports final.
-
No wesker DC on me today even when they lost and i played for like 5 hours straight. You are just unlucky.
As for his power, a bit buggy but it's too early to judge; My opinion is that he will sit at mid tier.
-
Latest patch, Devs reworked/nerfed/buffed most of the meta on both sides (Survivor a bit more) regardless of their strength. They wanted to shake the meta a bit.
-
Sure, a streamer reporting you then you run here complaining about survivors.
Next.
-
Nah, making her stay 1 min literally with no power is too harsh.
The two most needed nerfs respectively are: make her blinks special attacks & Remove her faster blinks (Already nerfed next patch).
-
Survivor want it easy ? Dude this is one of the very FEW maps that both sides agreed on hating it regardless of balance.
And btw this map had so many GOD pallets along with 1-2 insane semi-infinites, so saying survivor wanted it changed coz of balance is kinda ignorant.
-
They did address it last patch, nerfed DS to 3 seconds with no end game value.
-
Apart from rare cases, They are useless i agree (Except with the movement speed addon, they could be problematic).
Tbh the times i used the zombies to my advantage for a speed boost is way more than the times i got downed because of them.
-
Not enough to reach the shack window/pallet tho :P
-
You are new, i can tell lol.
-
I do care but that's the issue with Current MMR, it's definition of winning is flawed for both sides.
It's the worst for SoloQ survivors imo, it forces you to play in a very passive way most of the time if you want to rank up. Unless you are playing in SWF, it's a different story.
-
@C3Tooth said:
I dont know if her speed increase addon is broken, but to me, her blink attack count as M1 is the bigger problem
Although her speed increase does make a big difference but i agree that her blinks counting as M1 is the main issue here.
With the increasing number of instadown perks (Starstuck yes) and aura revealing perks, it's a joke.
I can't wait to see the nurse with starstruck and that new Wesker's perk that reveals survivors when picking up a downed one. Imagine this combo (Starstruck combined with ability to see survivors around you after picking up then having infectious fright, oh dear). With good nurses, i can safely say that games can end in less than 2-3 minutes.
-
Devs should close the gap as much between SWF & SoloQ.
Kindred as basekit would be a good start and will not affect the tryhard SWF in any way (Since they are usually coordinated and probably on voice comms).
-
* Her add-ons (Especially the range addons)
* She should not be able to blink until "fully" recharged again after a failed blink, along with slightly increasing the duration to recharge. This should punish her more for failed blinks.

@espooked said:
The Devs said it's intended for killers to win more! Get use to survivor being harder and killer being easier!
What's your (Their) definition of a "Win" for killer (1,2,3,4k) ?
Also can you give us a source for such statement and the context it was part of :)
-
That only works on new players, funny tho.
