Maybe you are in a decent MMR bracket.. After the patch was launched it feels like i have to tryhard as survivor a whole lot more. My teamates kept going in lockers and kept crouching behind rocks, dropping within 20 seconds at most in chase, pallets drop like the rain. I never played the game to sweat (as surv), and maybe that way i didnt mind me being dead on hook but it seems like I get matched with newer survivors a whole lot more recently.
Maybe this is because many people switched to killer since it is more fun. Queue times after 21:00 never were this fast as survivor before. I dont know, i will stick around to find out tho. I am still getting better, but sometimes i am getting drowned in my salt xD
That is exactly my problem now. I just need to add the current SBMM system makes it worse.
Right now, You can't chill around and do fun plays; You will end up losing MMR even if you carried the entire game. Eventually you end up with people with 5 hours into the game who are still learning to do skillchecks. And once you enter that zone, It's very hard to get out without a SWF party.
-
SBMM is a joke, that's the bottom line of most recent complaints. It's too simple (Escape/kill=higher MMR) which is a very basic & primitive system compared to pips.
Also game is lately being balanced around the SWF Gameplay, both factors combined; SoloQ is getting worse & worse by the day.
-
Some event items/offerings could be used later on for future events; At least that was the case before. Tho i wouldn't mind an option to perhaps sell any given item/offering or just delete it.
-
the new killers overshadow the original ones, like now i see way less nurses at red ranks; That doesn't indicate how strong she is.
-
Poor Bill, Always sacrificing himself to BT save the hooked meg -_-

Well i am 34 but it doesn't matter, i still Tbag every now and then :D

They have tried with the fog whisperer program but the developers ALWAYS IGNORE what people like Otz or Tru say.
The developers really just don't care about most of the community's opinions even the people who they put into a program for them to listen too is the issue.
A lot of the problem perks that have been added into the game the fog whisperers warned the devs about their issues like old MoM but the devs completely ignored them and ended up with egg on their faces.
No one should listen to Tru3, he caters for a very special proportion of the community. I respect Otz very much when it comes to the balance, i would be totally fine with him and i mainly play survivor.
-
The only annoying thing about DS is faking the aim at windows or pallets to get a hit, same move as PH which will be reworked next patch. He does not have any cooldown if he cancels it, other than that he is just fine.
-
My idea is to make it consistent, instead of the complete map rng/totem spawns. Some maps where totems are a pain to find (especially indoor ones), it's a pain to cleanse all 5 totems.
As a remedy, we remove the aura reading and limit the number of times it can spawn to one dull totem. It will still be powerful, a little oppressive but not like when you have to cleanse 5 totems to just get rid of ruin.
And before someone propose to run detective's hunch, not everyone has it and also it does not make sense to HAVE TO equip a perk to counter a broken build otherwise you are screwed.
-
Anymore ? When did they ever like looping :D
-
The fact that you need a specific perk/map to counter a broken build is just not right. If it happens that you don't pick/have detective's hunch, then you could end up having to search for/cleanse 5 totems just to get rid of ruin and by then the game could be long over if the killer is half decent. Not to mention you need to do gens for the perk to work, a skilled killer with mobility will probably give you a hard time doing so.
We all know on some level that undying is getting nerfed, it just eliminates most of the "risk factor" of hex perks. Remember when it was about "high risk high reward" ?

Bond

What's to compare between DS and POP ? Does pop proc once per match to even compare ? Plus that's barely a nerf, just to urge killer to use it instead of keeping it in their back pocket while chasing others.

Only if we get more exhaustion counters. Can't use iri heads or exhaustion hatchets as Huntress because of the survivor handbook for killers. Little rascals are happy to delete my hex perks but lose their minds if they get hit with an exhaustion hatchet that temporarily makes them unable to use exhaustion perks.
Why "only if" ? Aren't killers tired of DH & SB ? I doubt any new exhaustion perk would outperform them so might as well offer alternatives :)
Addons should not counter perks, that is not the most fun design and i believe that is Devs direction with the new killers released.
-
Are you running out of perks to complain about ?
Spine chill ? REALLY ?

First impression: Unplayable on Win7

Bringing back old ruin.
As someone who mostly play survivor, i can assure you old ruin was way weaker than the current one. For those who are able to hit great skillchecks (or even gen tap) no problem, ruin didn't even make any problem for them.

Gens are literally fine where they're at... They literally nerfed tool boxes, prove thy self, made gens take about 10 to 15 seconds longer etc. If you can't put pressure on them then you're a bad killer. Simple as that. All the Survivors have to do is do gens. ######### else do you expect them to do?? Any slower a lot of people would quit playing the game. It's already boring as hell sitting on gens...
Finally a comment worth reading, whoever is complaining about gen rush now is either bad or don't know how things used to be a year or two ago. Now killers have been buffed, new killers are decent and new perks to stop gens have been added (hello pop)...it's totally fine now and people just complain because they get rushed one game out of 5 or so and mainly because they didnt put pressure.
-
Killers are doing fine even with those perk, they will struggle VERY RARELY once they go against a really sweaty swf (Most of them are still trash).
Killers stomp over soloQ, those killers whining on forums will probably come cry after losing one match (not getting a 4k is a loss for them) after having a long streak of 4ks against randoms.
If any needs a buff, it's soloQ (if possible while giving a debuff to swf to balance it out)
-
From a survivor PoV, i find myers harder to go against; Maybe i haven't faced good ghostfaces but that's my experience so far.

Terrified to go near them.
Not yet, DeVs have a challenge to complete "Trap 1m survivors with hill bug before fixing"
-
2 swamp maps, too boring with many dead zones and it just looks depressing. I hate playing it as both roles, idc if it's survivor/killer sided
-
Yes, i agree OP and also eboni mori is totally fine as well. Whatever guarantees you the entitled 4k.
On a more serious note, i don't give a damn about hatch; i even just run straight to the killer instead of hatch just to get done with the game. But it we are allowing BS like Eboni and keys, we might as well leave the hatch right :)

i was about to say "not all SWF are sweaty tryhards", but then i saw the builds.... god damn.... those builds....
from a survivor main that mostly plays in SWF... good job!
What about the build ? Just 1 DS, no Unbreakable or OoO and mostly "spine chill" users against a DOC double ultra rares and The strongest map for doctor offering lol. Sweaty swf will have a totally different builds and it won't be as easy.

Everybody except for Tru3
Hell yeah, the amount of whining is unreal and so biased :D I rarely watch it just to get tilted then close, Otz is far superior as a killer main streamer (EU)
-
Do you mean speedrun gens or speedrun eboni mori ?
-
I agree, either apply a punishment to her ability so she doesn't spam multiple times during a matter of seconds OR just make iron override stridor eliminating any possible counterplays (Tru3 fans, please refrain from replying because you are braid dead).
Although am not a fan of needing to have this exact perk to counter that exact killer, but it's a start.
-
That is one of very few addons that's totally reliant on your team's quality, the worse the team the better it works and vice versa. With a decent team, 3-4 gens would be already done before he pops Tier 3.
-
I am personally fine with nurse even tho many would say she is stronger than spirit. Spirit is a ######### design at it's current state, sorry but she needs any sort of indicator while she is phasing; she will still be strong but at least i can interact with the killer in a mindful way, not just a standing still mindgame and have to guess 50/50.
she also needs some penalty to her power, she can't be spamming it multiple times; it's a reward for bad plays.
-
If you are going to be balancing swf, then might as well buff soloQ which is a totally different and frustrating experience. You can't have both.
-
We should just be pushing to fix it ASAP instead of arguing about this tbh. Personally i might just down a survivor and leave but i won't blame a killer if he decided to hook me (######### but still not his fault).
-
PTB is usually messed up when it comes to sounds; It won't be like that when it goes live most probably.
-
Prestige was only worth it before they add the shop, for the bloody cosmetics. Now i just max perks and ENJOY (I had 13 max P3 survivor & Killer before the shop)

The grunting working on totem always seemed so unnecessary. Cheryl saying "oof" while working on a totems cracks me up everytime. 😂
oh my, i haven't noticed that. am stalking cheryls from now on :|
-
Comparing gen rush to eboni mori is completely irrelevant. Gen rush was a thing sure, but now with pop goes the weasel, ruin rework and few others; It's a lot harder to gen rush especially with mid-high range killers given they play well.
It might me more convenient to compare them with keys, both are ######### and reward undeserved win.

guys dont be mad at me for dropping some facts.
as a veteran dbd player with over 3k. 1 of the strongest players in dbd on both sides, im very competitive person and in every game i play for over 25years.
i can say honestly that nurse is probably not the best killer in the game because she is very map dependent as well. but she is on the highest tier on the list of the killers.
meaning she can put a decent fight against top tier survivors which you will probably never witness to see because i believe that actually less than 100 players are top tier survivors. there is decent survivors, good survivors and top tier, sometimes you might confuse yourself with decent and good survivor in thinking is a top tier while is not, top tier survivors are survivors who abused the game to the point where they know how to deal with everything and every situation and waste as much time as possible. for example not running in circles when u know that u will be hit for half health damage because u can keep the extra speed for more distance etc.. which means no killer can actually beat top tier 4men which is fine because 4 brains vs 1 is just make sense. but she will dominate the decent and lower ranks survivors if the nurse is a top tier player.
and i play nurse well but im not main nurse. but honestly the cooldown is just bad design. the nerf was fine until they touch her basekit, in fact they could just make her blinks shorter and upgrade the range blinks addons and u will have a great killer once again.
You should have played against the 9k hour nurse main i just faced. We needed a god survivor like you in our team.

I feel like spirit is one of the easiest killers that I go up against. Freddy and Doc I agree are overpowered, but when I see leatherface I just want to DC
That is the weirdest comment i have read in so long on these forums :\ If you think spirit is easy, then i would have to assume you are either console or still new to the game that you haven't encountered many strider spirits yet :)

Just run iron will /s
-
He is weak if you are not overly greedy with loops.
-
Queues are bad already with one mode, this game can't take two separate queues; Both will end up #########.
-
Chases and coordination as part of a team
-
Billy was having too much utility at no cost. He has perm access to instadown, standard speed and insane map presence without any penalty. All other killers have one or the other at a cost. Justifying overheat just for facecampers is not a viable argument imo.
-
Overheat was barely a barrier and people were playing Billy as they have always been. The other things you mentioned are not even broken, are you even still complaining about Flashlights !? 2016 flashback
-
I agree with the general idea that there should be a common base MMR among all killers. There are so many transferable skills for experienced killer (Map awareness, mindgames..etc), being a rank 1 spirit for example doesn't mean you will suck as a wraith and should be matched with rank 20's.
-
@Cheers said:
Wait he's getting another nerf?
Was that rework even a nerf ? Overheat was barely noticeable
-
Yeah, That's a VPN connection; Pretty common atm for trash killers. Another way to lagswitch, i just had one today.
-
I agree, There has to be some sort of implementation of ranks (Playtime) with MMR. I am tired of getting matched with survivors with less than 10 hours while i have 3k hours.
MMR is not a solution to boosted survivors because they can still get boosted with the current MMR (AKA SWF). I also want some sort of divisions to know where am being placed on the MMR ladder, some sort of incentive and not just play random games not knowing if i'll be playing against a top tier killer or a baby one who doesn't even use his power.
-
you are actually calling for an end to SWF. This will take us back to "cherry picking" lobbies we used to have before dedicated servers where killers will dodge them 90% of the time to get a full soloQ lobby.
-
"getting blinded for almost a minute" is a git gud case, sorry. You can literally just look up and never get blinded again. Flashlights have been nerfed to ground compared to before, if you played earlier with instablind, you probably would have quit the game.
-
Being bad with a killer doesn't mean the killer is actually bad! Surprise!
Go watch some killer mains on streams, learn how they play and get consisent 2-3k with most killers. That's the best i can offer you.
