Poor person.
The fact that they are a VFX artist and NOT a dev, makes this even more twisted, since the people are literally bullying someone who had no say in skull merchant's fate for just saying their opinion.
And, we don't even know what context this quote has. They might just dislike her look for all we know.
Looks like people forgot that BHVR employees are people with opinions too.

Now, I try to play fun and make it enjoyable as much as possible (I play killer mostly)
I had a game where I let the last 2 survivors off and let them stun me with party pallets and whatnot.
One funny moment was when an Orela managed to stun me 3 times in row with a party pallet. She thought I did it on purpose (nope, I am just bad lol).
-
I am not sure, but I think I heard that they will eventually come into the store.

The crows are currently so lenient, that I don’t understand why BHVR still has it in the game.
Why are we pretending to have an AFK crow mechanic, when survivors can hide for over 20 minutes, if they open 1 chest during that timeframe?
🤷♂️ idk
-
I feel like countering Undetectable would be a HARD hit for stealth killer tactics.
Jumpscare builds are one of the few last spooky parts of this game, I wouldn't want to lose that.

I can’t believe that survivors can crouch walk in a small part of the map for 8.5 minutes before they get 1 crow, and 12.5 minutes before they get 3 crows.
I severely hope that when the phase 2 changes happen for camping, tunneling, and slugging, that BHVR has the same mindset that they did with the AFK crows, where the changes are so small that they are barely noticeable.
Math:
1 crow = (120 seconds / 0.25) + 30 seconds =510 seconds = 8.5 minutes.
3 crows = (180 seconds / 0.25) + 30 seconds =750 seconds = 12.5 minutes.I feel like it's better to make it more lenient FOR NOW, and revisit them in a later patch.
The crows weren't that bad imo, but they needed some adjustments. They had a lot of exploitable gaps. Way too many to just leave unchecked through the last Masquerade, as it seems.

I appreciate you catching this! There was a rogue "not" in that line, which we've since updated.
Speaking of Plague, was that horrible audio bug where she had the "swallow vomit back" sound play whenever she uses her power (not cancelling, just using it)?

Nemesis, Dracula, Xeno, and Pyramid all have good zoning and can hit over loops just like Huntress and Springtrap. The only difference is that Huntress has more range and can snipe survivors, which when it happens it is always the survivors fault since you can react and dodge her her hatchets. If her shot was a hitscan then it would be ok, but it isn't so basically never gets to snipe survivors at long ranges unless they are oblivious. Also, Dracula, Xeno, and Pyramid have other qualities to their kits which make them instantly better than Huntress without considering their movement speed.
Nemesis has to hit you 3 times to down you, Pyramid Head gives you a heads-up and has a cooldown on the power, Xeno can be denied by turrets, Dracula has a 7 second cooldown. Huntress? She can throw a hatchet, and throw another 2 seconds after, at any time.

I'm sorry, if Dracula, Vecna, Blight and Billy get to be 4.6, there's no reason Spirit should have to be 4.4.
Blight should probably be 110. Not sure about Billy or Dracula. And Vecna is not that powerful.
-
So, 110 killers are:
- Huntress - an excellent zoner with great anti-loop, that has infinite range and very generous hitboxes
- Hag - a killer that can lock down areas and down survivors without a need for her to chase normally
- Spirit - has one of the strongest powers in the game, is completely invisible and can outplay almost every loop
- Deathslinger - tbh, he is kinda too eh to stay 110
- Chucky - has a much smaller hitbox, which means he can loop tighter, and is difficult to see and outplay.
- Springtrap - only when he has the axe, which is even better at zoning than Huntress, and also can hit over loops.
Idk about you, but the 110 killers (except Deathslinger) seem all fine.

Like I said power interactions are really the primary issue, but this can be pretty easily fixed. Gen blocking could be an issue too, but once again this is fixable, these perks/powers just need specific interactions to reduce AFK points when they activate but is good otherwise
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3951298#Comment_3951298
Getting crows for actually interacting with a hex totem is dumb, touching hex totems should remove crows even if the interaction isn't complete, but simply running around the map looking for the totem is totally deserved, most hex totems aren't worth spending minutes searching for nor are they such an immediate threat that you can't stop to do a gen if you don't find the totem relatively quickly. Devour is probably the most imminent threat, but the killer has to get several hooks before it even becomes a problem. Very few exposed status effects last long enough to give you crows.
Currently, the way it works with totems is that you only lose crows after you break them.
I'd just change it to trigger after 14 seconds of cleansing/blessing so it takes Thrill and blessing Hexes into account.
-
The main issue are perks like Grim Embrace, and powers like Myers' Tier 3, Oni's Demon Mode and Pinhead's Chain Hunt.
-
@MechWarrior3 , @6yXJI0 , look what I found on Youtube:
https://youtube.com/shorts/4XLbwE7LmAo?si=Yk-Q24I_mE__pVWtYou can't make this up.
Snug is actively working against us!😭
My Training Bell rework idea is quickly rising to the top of my priority list because this is ludicrous.
-
I'm fine with the penalties being how they are, but for god's sake, remove the weird "wait" part, where it triggers ONLY when you press play.
Why is this even a thing?
-
I feel like the entire Go Next Solution should be shelved for now, and only 2 things should stay: Being unable to unhook during first stage without an offering/perk, and bumping the penalties up, but without the weird wait until you try to play.
Make it so 1 DC gives you a 15 minute penalty, and ramp it up from there.
-
I'd be happy to see him here!
@Mr_K said:
What would it do besides teleporting?
Maybe making it so looking on him starts affecting you with a special negative effect?
And maybe adding the pages mechanic as an additional objective (for example, you have to do 4 gens and collect all 8 pages)

again, it's not singularity, it's like 5 different killers because haywire is fundamentally a broken perk if you pair it with remember me and terminus.
But it's completely useless on its own and for 75% of killers.
-
The main 2 issues are addons being bad, and a direct hit doing nothing.
-
I updated the post a bit again, with changes to Map Offerings, Shrouds and a change to the Secret offerings.

From what we know, he's a scientist that was able to escape the Void (and the realm itself)
He was also Blight's inspiration to create the Blighted Serum.

It's funny that Springtrap has bugs that almost always work in his favor, while the buggy trio of Twins, Knight and Houndmaster have bugs that disable half their power.
Just a thought.

The Shattered Hope saga was a story of a solution made in panic, nobody would ever dream using a specific perk to counter other really strong perks. Its just unfair. And now boons are not really strong enough to warrant them being meta and this Shattered Hope fell from useless to beyond useless.
Reminds me, I should make a thread about buffing Boons, its time we see them more.
Yup.
What I meant was, since Shattered Hope might as well be either basekit or not exist (depending on who you ask), it'd be nice to just wipe it clean and go in a completely other direction (like Knockout but not lazy this time). My current favorite idea is that you could close opened exit gates, so the teabagging survivors get literally locked out.

I really dislike that BHVR burn off really risky Gameplay ideas on Licenced perks, like haywire seems absolutely worthless on its own, its only broken with other perks and certain Killers. I don't think this is the way we should treat guests to our game.
BHVR should not give risky perks that is a dead end balance wise to Licenced Chapters, I think its really disrespectful.
BHVR if you want to add a risky perk to the game, nobody is stopping your from adding a 4th perk with a chapter for the general perk pile. Please give the newcomers who join us for Springtrap, a superb experience one that is not plagued by a perk standstill.
Or even a rework for an old useless perk.
Shattered Hope was right there!

Sidenote - if he/she started to get stuck, he would at least attempt to try to wiggle around the object to get through. He full on took a lunch break LOL.
Not to mention that is nearly 30 seconds without my power.
That's our Snug.
Our Snug is not very bright.

Could you please attach the logs?
To find them:
- Press the Windows Key + R to open the "Run" command.
- In the text box paste the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- Click "OK" - this will open your Dead by Daylight Logs folder.
- If it does not open the Dead by Daylight Logs folder, it may mean that when installing Dead by Daylight you chose to save your files somewhere else and will need to check there.
- The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file
Thank you.
Thanks, i put it there.

BTW, for those who don't know, there actually IS a sound queue (or a sudden lack of ambient noise) that tells you that he is travelling to you.
But it's so faint you have to try hard to hear it even without other obstruction sounds.

Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Deja Vu, it really needed something to get it going and it's in a great spot right now. Really wish other perks with the same niche didn't get left in the dust though.
Yup.
There are some discussions about Deja Vu rn, but I don't think the issue is Deja Vu being too good, it's just Visionary and other perks like it (Detective's Hunch, Boon: Illumination) being bad.
-
It's a free perk, that helps you avoid nasty 3-gen situations, and also gives you a bit of a boost (which is not that impactful imo)
It's similar to Kindred or Sprint Burst.
It works when it should, you don't have to pay a dime for it, and it is useful.
That's the reason.
-
I see this is a W.I.P.
Anyway...
I think the new mechanics introduced in Blood Moon were very interesting and worth revisiting.
Some adjustments were needed, and the old Blood Basins should've come back, but overall it could be a great event.
-
You just have to look at the FT13 game to see how bad of an idea this is.
Screaming, loud music blaring, maybe insults, but mostly radio silence because everyone turned it off.
That's what will come alongside voice chat.
Side note: I agree that the colors were OK before.
-
I agree with you.
And it's simple, really.
Just add one more 0 to the end.
-
Hmm...
Sounds tasty!

That just sounds like the usual pub stomper icl, everyone bags their opponents and some times its not even to be toxic, maybe they're genuinely the best at taking chase and want the killer to commit.
Comp players try hard the least out of anyone, as they practice for hours on end to not rely on in game machanics to win (perks, items, favorable offerings, anti camp). Even in pubs when they do Winstreaks they often have a ruleset for themselves. Them finally deciding to support the comp scene again is an amazing thing, and potentially means community tournaments could return in the future, hosted through DBDL, which may i remindyou were open to join for everyone, not just comp players.
On a side note, I find comp players to be some of the most respectful people to random players, to eachother, thats when their expectations take over their emotions and they'll often call out others for selling, never for winning (they're not sore losers). Its just their competitive spirit, they take the game they enjoy seriously, as even some pub players do.
The „No true Scottsman" rule strikes again.

Avoiding the "go next" penalty that will flag you as doing something wrong if you miss too many skill checks.
So basically we're just punishing newbies here?
-
As far as I'm aware, this is STILL an ongoing issue.
-
Watch content creators like Otz instead of relying solely on the frankly useless in-game tutorial.
Don't buy any perks from the Shrine unless they are from a license you don't intend on buying. In case of all the rest, you are just wasting precious shards.
Play more on the killer side if you're new, at least at the start. Trust me, you'll have less of a bad time this way and you don't get as frustrated as quickly.
-
That feels like an oversight.

I wasn't questioning you.
-
Atmosphere.
I am a newer player, so I never got to see most maps before Realm Beyond, and I would really adore it if they made some changes to return some of the old lighting and fog and tall grass back to the game.
-
As long as the support will be things like monetary support, venues and advertising, or even giving them some updates and optimization to the custom games, I'll be fine with that.
But I hope they won't start adjusting the base game, perks and killers for them and their playstyles.
This game is already a hell for newbies, making it more competitive would drive off all the new players FNAF brought in AND MORE.
So, yeah @VibranToucan , if they start catering gameplay and killer changes to them, I'll absolutely agree with you. Until then…

I checked the wiki, you are correct, Map Offerings are secret now.
Would not explain the White Ward tho.
Honestly, beside map offerings, moris and shrouds, I don't see a reason behind making any of the offerings secret.
Especially things like chests and fog offerings. Why should that be secret?
-
@Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah, but the White Ward and the Map Offerings should not be hidden. So there is some kind of Bug going on.
Map offerings shouldn't be Secret? What? Wasn't this whole feature to stop people from targeting people who brought that kind of stuff in (or maybe that's just how I see it)
brb, gonna check the game.
-
This is intentional, but still kinda dumb regardless.
Not only does it make the Offering screen kinda redundant as you said, but it's also a balance danger, since Hatch offerings are among the secret ones.
-
Nope.
-
They were awesome once…
But now, after the nerfs? Not so much.
