lol 2 maps that are awful for killers and 2 maps that killers do well on.
Saloon is EZ mode for killer
Theres a 3 gen by the gallows so close together that you can almost see them all from one spot

Totem spawns on Midwich/Saloon: Completely submerged in brush, actually has to be sought out
Totem spawns on Autohaven/Crotus Penn: On a parade float with a floodlight shining down upon it

You shouldn't be given a win when you potentially did literally nothing to earn it.
you shouldn't be given the 4k if you, as the guy with more movement speed and nothing to hide from, failed to find the hatch

Similarly, it doesn't matter if you believe that it happened, if it didn't happen. If it spending more time in game than some imaginary time limit was bannable, devs would simply add time limit that would automatically end game. There are many games with rounds limited by timers and there is nothing novel about it. For all we know, OP made very low effort in finding them and expected them to come to his defended gen location. He lost in his gamble and now he came spilling his salt here and looking for revenge. That's a very pitiful behavior.
You are oddly passionate about arguing against something obvious to everyone else

That's the point. If your team all died, you've lost. There's no reason the gates should be powered for you, and a convenient little doggy door should open up so you can be rewarded for failure. Also, I'm not sure why you point to the saloon as an example. The doors can potentially spawn just about as far from each other as possible on that map.
You shouldn't be completely screwed because your teammates died. Glad you don't have a say in balance.
-
The gates would have to spawn farther apart if there were no hatch. The last guy would be completely boned with how they currently are (especially Midwich & Saloon)
-
You can still pallet stun Bubba. He's essentially the same as before but with more speedy speedfast high voltage zoomy leg

Since basic attacks exist, why do generators not play the Total Drama Island™ theme song upon completion?
-
Hag is the best killer
Bond/Aftercare/Empathy/Kindred are S tier and nearly mandatory for solo survivor (Kindred might not be such a hot take though)
Demogorgon is A tier
The devs try their hardest to appeal to the community, but the community is so divided that a large portion always feels ignored

Sure bud. Keep pretending. Or go get some actual proof that there is counterplay instead of just saying there is. I'm basing my opinions off of my own experience and skilled Deathslinger streamers. Where's yours coming from?
Also, my own games as Jeff are what lead me to my conclusions. Not watching some MLG streamer.

If the Slinger walks backwards, you cannot get snagged because you're friction is set to almost zero. And if your idea of "counterplay" is hiding behind a wall, I would like to point out that that is an unreasonable ask, since the killer can force you out by just walking to you.
Maybe your problem is that you aren't a good Deathslinger and haven't seen a good Deathslinger play. There is nothing the survivor can do in a chase to ever counter him. Pre-drop the pallet? A good Deathslinger would have shot you before you reached it, and even if they somehow couldn't all they need to do is break it and shoot you then. Hide behind an object? Hello, my friends Left Foot and Right Foot have come to meet you. Juke? Nope, that's where the "Good Deathslinger" part of the equation comes in. Bodyblocking? That's not counterplay, that's just a tactic.
Actually this comment highlights the problem of trying to "prove" counterplay
No matter what happens, there will be some excuse you can pull to say "a good deathslinger would've _____". The fact is that humans don't play perfectly or see the future. and if the Deathslinger IS that good and can play around all your attempts to throw him off, he deserves the kill

No I wanna see a video of you beating a good deathslinger in a chase using tricks that arent guessing ie dodging randomly, crouching, or holding a, pre throwing. Pre throwing does not always work for obvious reasons and making distance is general not specific counter and its also boring from both perspectives.
I'm not downloading Raptr or whatever so I can be critiqued by some Claudette

@MadLordJack said:
I can absolutely confirm that putting a tile between you and Deathslinger isn't counterplay. I can still shoot and hit you. That's why there's no "counterplay" to a skilled Deathslinger (which I'm not), because they can just shoot you, and all you can do is make their aiming harder. I don't think Deathslinger is OP because he is the most genrushable of the strong chasers, but there really isn't anything you can do that he cannot easily undo.
You can't get the hit if there are objects in the way. If your idea of "counterplay" is being able to avoid getting shot every time, then survivors could 1v1 Slinger.
I have played survivor and prevented hits just by getting in the way when another survivor is harpooned. I have stopped myself from getting hit by snagging myself on a generator. It's not rocket science. Just look for obstacles so you know where to go before the chase. Obviously there will be times where you're in a dead zone and can't do that, but that's your fault for being caught in a dead zone.

@ClickyClicky said:
Deathslinger can pull survivors around most objects. Theres very little survivors can use that blocks him.
I wouldnt even be mad if it wasnt for the fact that to date literally every deathslinger ive seen has been a proxy camper and tunnels hard. Like even wraith and ghostface players must look at deathslinger players and shake their head.
I have literally stood in front of a harpooned survivor and kept slinger from getting the hit
survivors have control over how they're pulled and can snag themselves on objects

Don’t forget that somehow in gods green earth Jeff can be on a hook and carried by Hag
How about the fact that Legion, some edgy teenager, can murder ASH FROM EVIL DEAD with a boot knife?
-
They really need to make 2nd hook phase work exactly like the cage of atonement. It wouldn't be possible to suicide as long as the other survivors can unhook fast enough.
-
Literally having A N Y T H I N G in between you and Deathslinger is the counterplay. He cannot down you if he shoots you across a pallet/rock/barrel/balcony
This "muh counterplay" argument is stupid and drawn-out. Survivors aren't supposed to be able to 1v1 the killer. Just break line of sight of keep any object between you and him. It's not hard. Deathslinger isn't even that good at his main strength.
-
Oh god they gave a skin the wrong medical term oh ######### what are we gonna do oh wow this is game-breaking everyone please uninstall

Lopro chains should only be one health state IF you broke a pallet in the same charge. Otherwise it should still down healthy survivors.
That's what an actual red addon should be, Lopro is currently garbage

Again all valid points that I agree with. But my question is, if it’s beatable, why is a nerf necessary?
Many things you’ve pointed out with the Clown, Freddy, and even Billy have little to do with the killers’ powers and much more on the player using that killer.
IMO, Doc is the only killer that needs nerfed. He just has too much going for him. An unskilled user playing as Nurse or Spirit doesn’t mean the killers need buffed.
On the other end, killers don’t need nerfed just because some survivors don’t know counterplays. Which killers are being nerfed? What’s the flavor of the week right now for suggested killer nerfs? Spirit.
Most (not all) of survivors want nerfs to killers they have to play smart against rather than mindless looping. You can’t counterplay a mindgame killer with the same basic loop tactics we’be done for 4 years. They don’t want to learn how to counterplay it...so nerf them.
It's not about the 1v1 with Billy, it's about a changing meta that plays too well into his hands. If I spawn in on Pale Rose or Dead Dawg Saloon and hear a chainsaw, I already know it's gonna be a hatch game. I already know he's gonna be on our asses at every unhook and we'll have one dinky pallet next to a tree as our defense. Maps are having less and less pallets, and he was made when maps had a ton of them.

Respect brutha. Finally some intellect to work with. All of your points are valid and I agree with them all. Strong, very much. Let me ask you this. Did your team lose (4k or 3k and a hatchout) almost every Billy you faced?
If the answer is no, he didn’t need the guage.
I've been smoked by a Clown and I've smoked NOED Freddy. The competency of the players and the map layout play a huge role. Billy, however, had the biggest potential to be a douche just by waiting for unhooks and smacking me back down and soon as my feet touched the dirt. Then he'd zoom back to the other side of the map, check around, zoom back to me and put me back on the hook.
You can't have a killer with THIS kind of mobility plus one-taps when the new maps are so small and unsafe (ex:Dead Dawg Saloon. The devs have talked about how they're focusing on smaller maps like this to ease gen-rushing).

Again...
you think he needs it. Again, you don’t mention WHY you think he needs it. Want me to change my opinion, no problem. I’m an open and reasonable man, I’ll hear you out. Why do you think he needs it? Your lack of info can only lead me to believe one thing, you don’t know how to counterplay it. Maybe I’m wrong, but you’ve literally told me nothing so far, and this topic isn’t about guages for killers. The topic is about what the next step is for game balance, what’s already done is done, no need to keep talking about it.
He has the best early game AND late game out of the entire killer roster
Early game he charges across the map to where the survivors spawn. Late game he charges between the gates faster than they could possibly open them. He charges back to every unhook to smack his unfortunate victim back down in 2 seconds. He has a one-tap power on top of this massive mobility. He gets a deadzone map like Swamp and it's a guaranteed win because the survivors have nothing to work with.
Billy came out when the game had an assload of pallets with vacuum. New maps are small with unsafe pallets and it makes Billy a monster.
-
Huntress. She has no crosshair and that messes me up more than it should. At least Doodflinger can aim down the sight.
-
"omg they added a guage to my perfectly balanced killer with infinite cross-map mobility and one-hit downs ######### ######### #########"
-
bring Laurie WAAAAAAAAY down
They just get carried by their own perks
Edit: Oh wait, it says "toxic". I thought it was going by skill lol
-
The fact that Billy could charge back to every single unhook in 2 seconds made him ridiculously unfun if he decided to tunnel. The whole map is a proxy camp for that dude
-
I don't mind dying, as long as I did my fair share of the workload and pipped. I consider a "win" a game where I either survive or did enough work that they couldn't have survived without me
Winning as a killer is just 3+ kills, I think that's how most people feel.
-
That complaint usually goes to Slugbilly or Sluggerface. People who pick a chainsaw killer and use one slugged survivor as bait to catch more trying to heal, usually with Insidious or M&A. Honestly, idk why insidious is in the game, it just encourages scummy plays that de-pip both the killer and survivor.
-
@th3 said:
The whole idea is that you don’t know what exactly the other side brings into the match.
bringing a key into a lobby is like an 80% likelihood that the killer will bring a mori. They'll always assume it's a good key and tunnel you out of the game immediately.
I get why they do it for the other items, but the green key has been made useless by this trend.
-
I think it's mostly fine as is, just make it so that dead survivors count towards the slowdown
-
I'd rather they stay common. I can't stand playing demo without Rat Liver.
-
Just give the second hook phase skillchecks like Pyramid Head's cages so they can't die immediately. They might at least attempt to keep playing once they've been unhooked (if apathetically)
-
It'll never really be spoopy because it always looks like 6:30 AM
Needs to be night time

As survivor it depends on if you SWF or rely on perks to carry you.
As killer it depends on if you run top tier killers with NOED to carry you
