Doctor because he is very fun to play as.

Sounds like someone’s salty that their second chance doesn’t work.

Devs: "We hear you guys, we'll make rebalancing the game our top priority."
a few months later
"Balancing the game based on your feedback from our first tournament we did has been our top priority for a couple months, we need to get to work on it"

I was Billy with only Enduring 1 and the add-ons Homemade Muffler (yellow, chainsaw noise reduction) and Shop Lubricant (yellow, chainsaw cooldown reduction) on Autohaven. I found one guy early on and downed him. I put him in the basement, and not even a second after I start to move, I see a Claudette move out of corner of my eye, so I grab her before she could make the save and hook her. I see the other two Survivors coming for the save. I chainsaw the third as the fourth somehow managed to complete a gen near me. By the time I had hooked the third, the Claudette had kobe’d, but I was right there when she did it, so I was able to put her back on the hook. She then DC’d. I go back up to hunt down the last Survivor. I see him running toward the basement and I activate my saw. He dodges it and then falls off the ledge onto the stairs. I charge up my saw again, and this I hit the Survivor and hook him. I completed an old sacrifice ritual (Sacrifice 9 Survivors) with Billy, so I end up getting 174k total BP. The best thing however, is that I went up against a 3-man SWF (Their names seemed really similar, it seemed it was a dad and his children) and beat them in five minutes. The random was the one who rage quit. It felt really good knowing that I had a successful basement party against a 3-man SWF.

5-7 perk slots?! Oh boy, Doctor with BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Overcharge, Ruin, Nurse’s, and Coulrophobia/Pop Goes the Weasel here I come.
-
Lol BBQ already got one unnecessary nerf and it doesn’t need another one. It already has multiple counters that you obviously need to learn. Stop whining and adapt.
-
BBQ
Distressing
Unnerving Presence
Overcharge
Iridescent King/Any Carter’s Notes add-ons
High Stimulus Electrode -
It should for consistency. The devs are also trying to discourage stealth with the release of Doctor, Freddy, BBQ+Chili, and the Evader emblem, so it makes no sense for Coulrophobia to not affect Snap Out of It. They also need to grow a backbone and stop giving in to Survivors who whine whenever Killers get even a slightly decent buff.
-
Lol what kind of games do you play? In most games skins are $1-5, not $5 or $10.AlexAnarchy said:Seems pretty standard for online games too me.

I never got anything saying that my email had been confirmed. The only email I got when I first joined was telling to me confirm my email. When I clicked the confirmation link, it just took me to either the main page of the forums or my profile page (can’t remember which).Dwight_Confusion said:Yeah, when you joined the forums you get an email from this forum. They send that email to the account you registered with.
In this said email you "validate" or "confirm" your account. When you click this link in the email you are set.
You can go to your original email DbD forums sent you and check if you are indeed validated. Some people forget. If you lost the email. I'm not sure how you'd figure it out.
-
I thought Botany affecting Snap Out of It was intended lol. I was thinking “wasn’t that in the patch notes for Doc cube?” the entire time. If Coulrophobia affected Snap Out of It, it would probably get changed in less than a week because of all the Survivor whining.
-
No wiggle bonus. That should be left to an Obession-only effect for a reworked Decisive Strike.

I understand that I’m not supposed to be getting Iridescent Malicious every game, but I don’t like the idea of having to let someone get saved for an Iridescent. Again, I put enough pressure on the Survivors to prevent them from healing or getting any saves, which can be pretty hard (especially with good Survivors), then I deserve the highest quality (Iridescent). I would think BHVR wouldn’t expect Killers to apply that much pressure to Survivors often.Zanfer said:@SnakeSound222 said:
To get Iridescent in Malicious, you have to get 36 points in that category. You can get eight points from each of the four Survivors, meaning that if no one gets saved or healed, you will only get 32 points, which only gets you Gold. This makes zero sense whatsoever because the point of Malicious is to prevent the Survivors from helping each other. Why am I being encouraged to give them a free save?! That is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a game where your goal is to kill everyone. Iridescent Malicious should only require 30-32 points and Gold should only require 25-27 points. This would reward Killers for doing good. If they were not able to heal or make some saves at all during the entire game, then I deserve an Iridescent, not a freakin' Gold. I applied enough pressure on the Survivors to prevent them from helping their teammates. You are not suppose to be getting iridescent malicious every game. Iridescent is only for exceeding the expectation. Gold is what you strive to go for. I see what you mean by the points not making sense to add up to the iridescent, but if you did play it how you said you get gold which is where you should be.
-
Honestly, the old hitbox made sense considering how strong these Killers are supposed to be. They can completely destroy the pallets in two kicks and they can hold a Survivor with one hand. Grabbing someone at a distance should be extremely easy for them.
-
It was already in a good spot. It didn’t need any nerfs. People just need to stop getting so attached to their items. Chainsaws, hatchets, and Trapper’s traps should all make the Survivor drop their item.theagitatedapricot said:I think it's a strong enough perk as is and doesn't need any kind of buff. I think needing to choose between a one hit down and knocking an item out of a survivor's hand keeps the perk balanced. -
I think the Survivor’s aura should also be revealed after X amount of seconds to prevent them from becoming immersed and taking the game hostage by not doing gens.Boeckfish_B said:I actually liked the old PTB hatch idea. It would encourage people to use Left Behind. The hatch closing was quite OP though.
I would have done it like this:
-Killer closes hatch
-Survivor gets a massive gen repair speed
-Once 1 gen is complete the hatch opens again -
I think it’s when a Killer doesn’t completely leave the hook. Like they’ll look for other Survivors and check gens, but they’ll keep coming back to check on the hook.lasombra1979 said:@ChesterTheMolester said:

The devs are already thinking about making Self Care skillchecks unable to wake up a Survivor and shortening his Dream Transition to 3 or 4 seconds. However, we may need to nerf some of Freddy's add-ons (Sheep Block, Cat Block, Unicorn Block, Z Block, and/or Red Paint Brush), unless we're fine with having a Freddy who instantly put Survivors to sleep.
Freddy's attacks shouldn't lock on to an awake Survivor. That's just stupid.
I was also thinking about allowing him to put multiple Survivors to sleep with his power to save him some time.

Trapper : I mostly agree.Wraith : Either make him 100% invisible, or make him way faster while cloaked. Both could prove excessive. Tho I mostly agree.
Hag : She mostly need QoL buffs with her traps more than movement speed itself. Like not losing the lunge momentum after the teleport, or faster trap setting, and ultimately : BETTER ADD-ONS, her add-ons are nearly all terrible with huge downsides.
Doctor : he will be in a rather fine place, even against looping, once the vacuum will be gone tbh.
Freddy : I mostly agree as well. I'd still prefer my own rework, but that could do.
Pig : Imo she mostly need her AMBUSH to be viable. Mostly achieved by a slight nerf to SB, a better FOV and movement speed, as well as slightly more distance to be able to punish several loops with mindgames.
I would add :
Myers : He DEFINITELY requires a simple buff : when you fully stalked someone, you gain benefits in a chase against that specific person, aka bonus movement/recover on hits. Increase that bonus if the target is your obsession.
Leatherface : Not being slowed down that much during the revving would be at least the BASELINE for having a decent character.
Huntress : Less small loops for her would be lovely.
I would've said most of this. I don't think that being locked out of interactions for an extra 0.5 seconds would make Doc OP, so I'd be fine with it happening.

I rarely see that happen, and poor doctor needs no nerf
Lower ranks it's pretty standard in the 15-20 range.
Just because low ranks dont know how to overcome it doesnt mean he needs a nerf.
This is the same crap that got Freddy sent into oblivion.
Don't you mean that just because it can be abused on small maps doesn't mean it's need an adjustment? Oh and inb4 you try the low ranks stuff again I'e been in groups with really high ranked players who got nailed just as easily.
If you look even some of the high ranked players have agreed it needs to be adjusted since otherwise you just encourage the survivors to go hide/loop endlessly more than they might normally do.
-
It’s just entitled Survivors making up rules. That’s all. I would just ignore them and play how you want.
-
Oh yeah that’s right. DCing is a bannable offense. If OP is rage quitting often, then he should have at least one or two bans already.Dragonredking said:How about we hand out ban to people that dc/ragequit?

No, the doctor does not need a nerf. My offical diagnosis that will help you with this calamity that you are experiencing.
I am saving this. It's too funny not to. I would love to use this as my custom avatar if that becomes a thing here.
OP, Doctor does not need a nerf. He is a mid-tier Killer. It takes seven seconds (nine if the Doctor has the Obedience add-on) to snap out of Madness 3. That is nothing. You thinking his add-ons are crutches just tells me that you can't accept the fact that stealth got harder. And then you complain about skillchecks getting harder? Dude they are extremely easy to hit. This just screams "I am a rank 20 Survivor main" to me. I think you should listen to Doc's diagnosis and get good.
-
There were too many meaningless reports. I’m thinking that over 3/4 of the reports they got were “Noob Killer is camping plz ban him” or “I got pallet looped please ban the Survivors”.
-
I’ll be spending money. I would like to save my shards for cosmetics and perks and I don’t want to wait to access the new characters. I want all of Clown’s teachables ASAP.

Most of them can though. It’s rare to find players that can’t use their perks correctly.only1biggs said:@SnakeSound222 said:

I am sympathetic but I would rather be challenged as a killer at the top ranks and struggle sometimes to do well rather than know that people that struggle as survivior in the lower ranks are getting competely wrecked.
It is a tough one to sort out!
Except every rank is the same. You can be a rank 20 or a rank 1, you will face Survivors with the same meta loadouts.
o.O
But not all players are the same nor can most use their perks correctly.

This would be a good idea (along with the idea of having Killers being able to vault and stuff while their weapon is on CD), but I am afraid the Survivor mains will riot and persuade BHVR into undoing their changes.
-
I hope so. I am tired of every rank being equivalent to rank 1. I settle around ranks 10-15 most seasons, depending on how much I play. When I see the Survivors’ loadouts, they’re like it’s rank 1, not rank 11 or 12. Even at rank 20, I’ve encountered Survivors who are supposed to be rank 1 (It was not immediately after rank reset). If you’re a rank 1 player, then stay there and face those Killers. I want to face players that are at my skill level.Runiver said:They have reduced the required scores to rank up on the PTB.
We'll probably get way more high ranks survivors next season. -
“We’d love to, but we’re too worried about our rank 20 Survivors leaving because it makes it harder to escape.”
-BHVR -
Don’t forget that every time Killers get a worthy buff, the Survivor mains act like little kids and whine their butts off until the devs eventually change it. It’s obvious that BHVR only cares about their cash cows, the Survivor mains. Otherwise Killers wouldn’t be a joke.
-
Freddy wasn’t even that good when he launched and they still listened to the Survivors and nerfed him.RemoveSWF said:If it took one week to nerf him, it could take one week to buff him. They just don't want to. BHVR hates killers. This is a survivor game.
Selling a killer at launch and then ruining him one week later should be regarded as false advertising and thievery. Buyers thought they were getting one thing and then it was changed to something else.
Oh, and we want the proper Robert Englund version of Freddy, not the crappy remake Freddy.
I love your username, BTW. -
I agree. I have zero respect for players that cheat/purposefully exploit and are entitled.

You’re joking right? Doctor already has to extend his chases, which leaves him highly susceptible to gen rushing. That cooldown to his zaps would make him even more susceptible to gen rushing. He’d go from mid tier to low tier quickly. Maybe if you would actually try to beat him instead of whining, you would see he doesn’t need any nerfs.powerbats said:As someone who goes up against docs regularly almost all of them have the range extending addon and I've been working on gens while someone else gets chased 40 yards away. I get hit by the electrode at that range all the time and it isn't a case of finding stealthy players as much as the doctors just spam it non stop until they get you to phase 3 and or down you.
On Gideon's, Lery's and Haddonfield/Springfield they literally just have to walk around and do nothing but spam it. There's no skill involved there nor any counter to it and in solo queue it's rare to get a group that knows what their doing against him. It's even worse when the doctor just camps and walks back and forth with 40 yards of the hooked survivor and spams it. They'll interrupt saving and any gen work being done.
The only nerf I could see for him would be if you use the range extending it gets a 10 sec cd so you can't just spam it and make it so even with a cdr addon it still can't go below 7. If you're not using a cdr addon then give a addon they can ge to reduce charge time or something like this.
I'm looking at this from the point of a solo queue player since in SVF that enrf isn't needed unless it's a duo in which case buff against SVF.

The problem in balance is that the survivors determine the flow of the game. They decide if they want to survive or die. Currently the killer isn't the power role and that is the problem. Also matchmaking has nothing to do with the balance of the game. A lot of people who are "good" at the game depip on purpose to be in the lower ranks. This causes issues in the matchmaking by making higher rank que times longer and the lower ranks filled with these "good" players. I'd also like to know which side you play. Killer or survivor?Hmm, interesting. I'm a survivor main, and it never occurred to me to intentionally depip to stay at a lower rank. But now that you mentioned it, that does help make sense of the fact that sometimes I play alongside other survivors who seem untouchable at rank 14.
You're most likely running into players who would normally be in rank 1, but since they can't take a loss, they purposefully depip in order to go against players who aren't as good as them so it's easier for them to win. You're a perfect target for them unfortunately. There's also nothing we can do about it except dodge. .

-
Never. I don't care who you are or what you did, I will show no mercy. You can complain all you want, but there is nothing that will change my mind.
-
Doc’s purpose is to make stealth harder. You’re supposed to play differently against him. This nerf is necessary and makes the Order series of add-ons nearly useless. Some Docs also don’t always range extending add-ons, so you’d be punishing them for no reason. The Killer is not supposed to give you a chance to do gens and if you get caught and downed in the first 90 seconds, then that’s most likely your fault and you deserve to get hooked (unless another Survivor helped the Killer out).
-
This has been an issue for while now. Some Survivors and Killers don't want to actually try for their wins so they purposefully depip in order to find games against players who aren't as good as them. It could easily be fixed by not deranking people as much during rank reset. An example could be that players in red ranks should only be brought down to either low purple (7-8) or high green ranks (9-10).
I thought BT was bugged and putting a Survivor into the BT state still subtracted the 30 Benevolent points from everybody, even though it wasn't a down.
-
According to the wiki, it already does: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Brutal_Strength#Unknown_Update_Version
-
You’re funny. It sounds like you’re not as good as the Killers you face at your rank, so you’re purposefully deranking so you won’t have to face them instead of getting better.Vulipus13 said:Sure, let's hand them the kills now. I struggle as is to survive with my friends and killers already control so much of the game. This game is already just becoming a killer simulator. I love this game so please stop buffing the killers into Oblivion. -
Unfortunately we can’t. DbD would lose a lot of players and money. More Survivors are in 3-4 man SWF than 2-man SWF or solo. Don’t forget that not everyone wants to be as toxic as possible, and that some people just want to play with their friends. That 10-20k player count that game currently has would experience a big drop. Killers just need some big buffs in order to deal with them. Until that happens, our best defense against them is to just dodge.
-
It's still punishing the Killers for picking a Survivor up. I think the best way to balance it would be to either have it stop the Killer from moving or reduce the movement speed while a carrying a Survivor. Obsession would have faster wiggling speed.
-
I have actually suggested this idea twice on the DbD subreddit. Glad to see that someone else also thinks it would be a good idea.
-
I enjoyed this more than I expected to! Can't wait for more!
Where can we send clips in for these?
-
Before we deal with dodging, we need to deal with people purposefully deranking in order to be matched with players that aren’t as good them so they can get easy wins (I’m not talking about rank 1 down to rank 8. I’m talking about rank 1 to rank 15). It’s just not fun at all. Anyone who does this is extremely toxic in my opinion and does not deserve any respect from me at all. I know some people don’t have a lot of time to play or can’t play when the ranks reset, but I think that they are outnumbered.
As much as I hate DCs, I will say that I don’t want a leaver penalty. Wait, don’t use your pitchforks yet! I say this because it’s not fun to stay in a match that’s being held hostage or has multiple exploiters/hackers. Some people also might have to leave for a good reason, and it’s not fair to punish them. The current system BHVR has in place right now is good because it means you can leave a game that’s full of cheaters or because you need to go do something else and you won’t be punished. You have leave 30% or 40% of your games to be banned. -
The only really scummy one is the one where there was only two gens left. I can understand camping when there is one gen left, but I’m not entirely sure how I feel about doing it. Camping when the gates are powered is 100% fine because the Killer’s trying to secure his/her last kill.onark said:So funny, reading this thread seems like almost no one camps, there are some screenshots of facecamping me.
