I don't think I've mastered any, but I like to think I'm good with Doctor and Nemesis. Of course there's always room for improvement, so I don't think I'll ever completely master a Killer.
-
It needs to be made smaller and the main building needs a nerf.
-
Played three games as him on PS5 last night, and he seems to randomly get slightly pushed to the left side for some reason. I haven’t had that happen to me at all until those games. Aside from that everything was fine.
-
I never really experienced any performance issues while playing as Nemesis on PS5 even before the last patch. The only performance issue I had with him is the FPS dropping while I was leveling him up, and that seems to be gone.
-
One of her hook screams made me laugh. I do not remember her sounding anywhere close to that in any of my five playthroughs of RE3R.

personally loved jill in RE3R
Same, it was my first time with any version of RE3 so I didn't know what to expect but I loved what I saw. She's a badass.
-
It's the same event from last year but with a slightly different crown design and a special effect on the cakes.
The confirmation of cake stacking brought this event up from horrible to forgettable.
-
I'm getting Mother's Dwelling as Killer way too many times. I hate playing on it and I want to DC whenever I get it.
-
Now I’ve got some more hype for this event.

Didn't get him free on Xbox
He is free, just not part of the base game. You had to go into your platform's store and download his chapter. I think you might have missed something.
-
I’m nowhere near as hyped for this anniversary event as I was for the others.
-
Oh have I been waiting for the day I get to talk about these horrible excuses for challenges (yes, there’s another one). They’re out of your control.
The first one (the one OP mentioned) will only work if you get lucky with your Survivors and they don’t pay attention to possible trap locations or you happen to push them to that same trap.
The second one isn’t as bad. You have to catch two Survivors in a trap while in a chase during a single game. To beat it, you have to hope that the Survivor runs toward one of your trapped areas or you can push them towards one. If the Survivor sees the trap there, then you have to do it all over again. Everything is on what the Survivor does, not the Killer, and that’s a problem.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the other Survivors are likely slamming the gens while you’re trying to complete these challenges, meaning you don’t have that much time to get them done.
-
And Nurse is better than both of them. We can do this "X Killer is better than Y Killer" with every chapter.
It's not even by that much. Both Killers are good enough to stand a chance against most Survivors but lose against the good ones.
-
I don’t know about the green one. That extra meter in tier 3 does a lot for him. The yellow one seems fine though, although it might have to be a very rare or ultra rare add-on.
-
Tru3, Otz, Monto, and Farmer John.
-
Honestly I feel like we need more than just an extended Rift as compensation for all the issues the game's been having lately. I'm hoping for an extended Rift, a lot of Bloodpoints, and Iridescent Shards.
@CountVampyr said:
I don’t see why they need to. I already reached tier 70 and the last part doesn’t drop until tomorrow, mainly because they dropped each rift fragment from 800xp to 500xp. It’s so easy to complete it now all you need to do is play. How much help do you really need?
Have you been ignoring DBD for the past week? There's a boatload of issues making the game nearly unplayable for a lot of players.
-
After today's patch, the only cosmetics that I'll even think about buying are future Resident Evil ones, and even then the chances of me actually going through with the purchase are low.
-
This was an extremely disappointing patch. The cosmetic glitch had a positive impact and was one of the few bugs the community liked. Its removal was like a slap in the face to us. Nemesis not getting any buffs is disappointing as a good portion of the community was asking for them. It doesn't take a month to realize that he's got some issues that need to be fixed. Even if it wasn't a balance patch, they could have given him a small buff but they're too focused on fixing the cosmetic glitch.
At least performance was worked on.
-
I really want to get Nemesis to P350 during it but I'm so scared there's going to be some bug that resets prestige or screws with your BP.
-
Money and the devs not knowing what the community wants. The cosmetic glitch being fixed is very disappointing.
-
Killers:
Nemesis - The monster that got me into the Resident Evil franchise. He's so badass! Also, he's the motherfucking NEMESIS.
Doctor - He's fun and has a cool backstory. He was also the Killer who got me into the game.
Survivor:
Laurie, Jill, and Leon - I'm a big fan of the franchises they originate from. Also, RE3R was my introduction to Resident Evil so those versions of Nemesis and Jill will always be special to me.
-
Holy crap this is awesome! These are some great changes for Nemesis and hopefully the devs will at least take these into consideration.
The only change I’m not completely sold on is Lethal Pursuer. I’m not sure if aura reveal upon injury is worth losing three seconds on its first effect. The only four Killers that I can see being able to take advantage of it are Bloody Coil Trapper, Plague, a Huntress that can hit from long range, and Nemesis because they’re the only Killers that can damage Survivors from far away. The other Killers are also losing a couple seconds of it because of the hit cooldown. Tier 1 is going to end up being useless of those Killers.
-
Because he's THE MOTHERFUCKING NEMESIS.
Also smacking people with the tentacle is really fun. The cooldown seems really fast in tier 3.
-
Map: Haddonfield
Killer: Bubba (I wasn't sure who to pick until he ruined a solo Where Did They Go attempt, so bye bye #########)
Survivor: Claudette (If I could just delete Blendettes I would, but I can't without taking all the other Claudettes with them)
Perk: Dead Hard
Mechanic: Having trouble deciding between prestige and keys. I was certain it would be keys until I started trying to prestige Nemesis and realized how much it was going to suck about 3/4 of the way through P1. I am praying that we get some sort of major compensation for all the issues with the RE chapter (like 500k BP or something like that).
-
Did you buy the bundle through the PS Store or just the characters through the in-game store? The charm is exclusive to the bundle in the PS Store.
-
Yes, Nemesis’s tentacle is inconsistent. I’ve had it pass right through Survivors before. Its range is also too short.
-
Deranking won’t completely stop that because of how terrible the matchmaking is. If a group of Survivors has been waiting long enough, the game will just throw them into any game. You could be a brand new rank 20 eager to have their first games only to get put up against super sweat teams all because they’ve been waiting longer than normal.
-
Leveling up Nemesis seems to lower frame rate on PS5. I just prestiged him and leveling him up definitely felt like it was on a last gen console.
-
I'm trying to make him my first P350 character. Once I've got him there though, I'm going to play him a lot. I'm determined to get good with Nemesis.
-
They're either on PC or a current gen console or getting paid extra to write that article. You can't defend the performance on last gen at all.
-
You can finally play that character.
-
I'd much rather have Bloodpoints. Like 1-2 million.
-
The patch is tearing last gen consoles apart. It's bringing some people's consoles to the brink of death. The only platforms that seem to be handling it well are PS5, Xbox Series X, and high-end PCs, and even they're having some issues. I'm hoping we get a crap ton of compensation for how horribly optimized this update is.
-
I need the trophy for repairing the gen in the Main Hall.

I've been posting this all day. It gets worse when you look in to the stats of his power. He's supposed to apply hindered to survivors when they get infected, but you'd never know because as it works right now you can never capitalize on it. The speed boost alone negates the hindered status effect. Right off the bat, that alone counters it. No way to capitalize from it when they get boosted and are already halfway across the map. Second, even if you took away the speed boost, you STILL would never be able to notice or even take advantage of the hindered effect for two reasons. The first is that whenever he hits you you his tentacle he still has a cooldown animation for his attack. But the worst part, the thing that when combined with everything I said so far, is that the hindered effect lasts for a LAUGHABLY small amount of time.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZRLQT9MNAYXT/screenshot-20210617-154708-chrome.jpg
0.25 seconds of hindered is all they get when they get infected... So even without the speed boost literally negating the effect, even without it due to his attack cooldown, he still can't do anything for 1.75 seconds while he's locked in to his cooldown animation. So yeah he literally has a useless effect as part of his power that he can never ever take advantage of. They need to rework his power, badly.
Wow. Yeah there’s no way Nemesis didn’t go through a drastic power redesign shortly before release. The daily ritual and Hindered effect seem like they’re leftovers from a rejected Nemesis power idea.
-
Nemesis’s theme is so epic, sometimes I’ll just stay in the lobby and listen to it.
-
Give him a Nemesis skin and I will.

I bet he has a bigger collition box, looping around short loops feels like playing huntress, you just never catch up, odd on a 115 killer.
He definitely does and Survivors are already figuring it out. I had a match where I was getting pallet stunned earlier than normal. The next match everything was back to normal.
Not sure why he would need one considering he’s not super wide. He’s just really tall and muscular.
-
@Neamy said:
Anyone notices he's slower around corners? Unless you are walking almost straight forward he loses more speed than any of the other killers I use.
I'd suggest also that infected survivors are easily tracked by the zombies, like they would move slightly faster and detect earlier against an infected survivor. Would make his power less pointless I think.
I haven't broken a pallet AND hit a survivor yet, it's always been the survivor gets hit, then I have to break the pallet, gotta watch for that.
He's either bugged or just so big that he's getting stuck on objects that other Killers wouldn't. I got stuck at a couple of places on Family Residence that I normally wouldn't.

My Xbox seems to be dead, or on the brink of death, so I'd say no.
Holy crap... this takes the optimization issues to a whole new level. Dead by Daylight is now killing consoles. I really hope that your console returns to life soon.
-
I’m loving him so far. His teachables seem really fun to use. His tentacle attack needs some buffs though. It seems to be really hard to hit someone at times (I’ve had the tentacle touch a Survivor but nothing happened, like it just went through him) and putting it away takes a long time. I don’t want him to instantly put it away, but I think his current cooldown is a little too much right now.
-
It’s because there’s 3 characters. The Stranger Things chapter was also $11.99 and had 3 characters.
-
Is this sarcasm? I don't see an /s.

It's everyone, I did it earlier today to get the extra BPs and the charm and it reset all of my cosmetics, charms, perks, add-ons, and offerings on all of my killers and survivors. I had to take half an hour to re-equip everyone with the cosmetics, charms, and loadouts that I usually run.
I'm thinking the answer to this is no, but I want to ask just in case. Can you earn trophies or achievements in the tutorial? It'll be a big help for trophies like Skilled Huntress and three blink gen grab as Nurse.
-
Can't people just bug them again? Or does this prevent those cosmetics from being bugged again?
-
How is pipping broken this time?

Purple sets, locked or not, are always 1080 cells. (Except for the leather pig outfit which I think is 100 cells extra)
The cosmetic microtransactions are already outrageous so I don't see how this specific situation is getting everyone pissed.
They're taking a default cosmetic and trying to sell it in the store as a completely different cosmetic when it's really not.
-
The Demo and Franklin's changes were uncalled for and likely the result of Survivor complaints. Honestly not that surprising but still disappointing, especially since neither were overpowered or unfun.
-
They've been like this for years unfortunately. I really think they're just hoping that the game will magically fix itself, the playerbase will stop caring, or last gen players will leave. Do they not understand that getting a PS5 or Series X is not easy at all? You either have to get lucky or drop almost $1000. I was one of the lucky ones to grab a PS5 but I'll still fight for optimization. I absolutely hate it when a version of a game struggles performance-wise and it's not due to hardware limitations. We all know that last gen consoles can run games that are much more demanding than DBD (RDR2, CODs, the recent RE games, and the PS4's insanely good-looking exclusives for example) with nowhere near as many problems, so the hardware being older can't be the main issue. If the devs actually cannot optimize console any further and this is the best we're getting, then they should just come out and tell us.
