  • It’s nice but also kinda disappointing. The big final reward for the event is just something that should have been active in the first place. I was hoping for something like a ridiculous amount of points (millions of BP and tens of thousands of shards) or enough Auric Cells for an outfit. You only get one 5th anniversary, make it crazy. Do things you would never normally do, especially with how horrible the event has been.

  • I really want his stage 2 from the original game. That's my favorite look for humanoid Nemesis.

  • I loaded up the PS4 version of DBD on my PS5 so the last two prestige trophies could pop on that version and I was greeted with this:

    User: "1E263E0B-036D-4DFD-B3B7-BFE48E7159F3.jpeg"

Why is Nemesis so blurry? I’m not expecting 4K quality but I don’t remember the game ever looking this bad. Is it trying to reach 60 FPS and just sacrificing resolution to do so? This isn’t even on the PS4 console. This is being played through backwards compatibility, so I would think it’d take advantage of the PS5’s strength and look better than this. Unless this is part of the issues the RE chapter brought to last gen consoles?

Here’s a screenshot of the PS5 version for comparison:

I would argue that the full invisibllity combined with the speed is a little crazy. That said I don't agree with the people that think his lunge should have been nerfed.

I think it’s strong but fine because you can still see him when he gets close. Yeah he’ll have an easier time getting that first hit in but Survivors who know what they’re doing will make it harder for him to get a down (especially if they have an escape route planned out).

  • Nemesis is really cool, he just has some stupid restrictions and the zombie AI needs improving. His add-ons are ok for the most part. Iridescent Umbrella Badge is possibly the worst add-on in the game though.

Killer perks are nice. Lethal Pursuer and Eruption are pretty cool and I use them in builds.

Survivor perks are ok. Bite the Bullet and Counterforce are not game-changing but they’ll find a place in certain builds. Flashbang and Blast Mine unfortunately join Head On in the group of perks that exist only to bully the Killer. Rookie Spirit sounds nice but I’m not sure if it synergizes well with anything.

I like the map, but it needs a higher pick rate so people can learn it and a fix to hook spawns (there’s a spot where it’s impossible for the Killer to get a hook).

  • I’m fine with what we got. We obviously couldn’t get his weapons and while a movement ability would have been cool, it might have screwed with performance (last gen consoles already went through hell with the RE chapter) or BHVR couldn’t balance it (which sounds like a stupid reason but we’ve seen how stupid their balancing decisions can be).

  • Nerf a perk just because a lot of people use it? That's a terrible idea. BBQ is balanced and should stay where it is.

  • Nemesis, Blight, Doctor, Demo, and Clown.

  • He’s nowhere near her level. Wraith just got the loving he deserves after so long and some Survivors are unsurprisingly refusing to adapt and just begging for nerfs instead.

  • Nemesis has possibly the worst add-on in the game with Iridescent Umbrella Badge. It makes Survivors who use the vaccine exposed for 12 seconds. As a 115% Killer with no movement ability, you have find the Survivor in a random spot, chase them, and then down them all within 12 seconds! 99% of the time you won’t find them in 12 seconds. This add-on will only work if the Survivors make same big mistakes and is nowhere near worth its price.

  • Main? HELL YEAH! Master? No. I don't anyone has mastered a Killer that is barely a month old. I think what's going to be the hardest part of him to master is his tentacle as not only does it require perfect aim to hit (without using the tentacle tech) but it's hard to tell what exactly stops it from hitting. There was a recent clip of Nemesis striking a pallet over a fence in Haddonfield but it didn't break.

EDIT: Thought I’d add a picture of my build. I’m on PS5 so I don’t have any major performance issues.

  • Maybe the devs didn't want to give him skins for some reason. He's already got four outfits that could easily fit in the game (Baghead, Battle Damaged Remake Stage 1, OG Stage 1, and OG Stage 2). Personally I'm happy with my full prestige Nemesis. The only other skins I'd consider swapping it out for are the OG Stage 2 (pretty much shirtless Nemesis with more visible tentacles and a slightly mutated chest) and battle damaged remake 1 (the base skin but with tears in his outfit).

  • I just finished that a couple days ago with Trickster. Nemesis is my only P3 50 Killer and it's going to stay that way.

  • Unfortunately it seems that way. A lot of these RPD complaints would likely go away if it showed up because people would be able to learn the map.

  • Nemesis should stay STARS when hitting, downing, hooking, interrupting, being stunned by, or starting a chase with Jill and Chris. When he gets stunned, he should growl it out instead of simply saying it.

    Trickster

Nemesis has to hit 3 times because he has a multifaceted power. He would also be a straight upgrade from Pyramid Head otherwise.

Is there a problem with him being an upgrade from Pyramid Head?

Do you know the originality of nemesis at all? From re original game and not just dbd? Virus indeed makes sense and it's a virus that progress through your body what u suggested would change nemesis completely they might as well rename him

In both versions of RE3, the T-Virus does a number on Jill right after Nemesis infects her. In the original it weakens her by a lot while fighting Nemesis and in the remake she falls over unconscious almost immediately after infection.

Even if we want to make him 100% lore accurate, the current contamination isn’t enough.

  • This is a map that will take time to learn, which is going to be hard considering its low play rate.

We had it without the infection boost during early testing. It was really unfun to play against, so it had to change. Having played both versions, honestly the live version is far better.

I totally sympathize with feelings that it makes the tentacle less useful than it could be. But having seen what it's like in the more powerful state, we know it was too much.

Is there any other changes being considered for his tentacle, like making a miss less punishing or making it harder to dodge? As it is right now, you need pretty much need to have perfect aim to hit with it so even a slight turn can be enough to make it miss. If you do miss, you’re punished with a long cooldown.

  • It protects bad Survivors and gives the good ones too much power. It needs to go.

I’ve been wondering if the reason for this (and for a bunch of other Killers starting out weak or with obvious problems) is so the devs can avoid another old Freddy/Legion situation. Both of those Killers were getting more hate than usual when they first launched (even though Freddy didn’t deserve it).

  • I've heard that you can see smoke on top of the gen if Blast Mine is active.

I really hope that we get some way to tell if Blast Mine is active because it's annoying. It's just there to make it easier to bully the Killer. That's it.

  • Undo pretty much every nerf he's gotten (the first couple of rope add-on nerfs and his last set of nerfs) and just made the slowdown add-ons not stack. He was fine before, people were overrating him. It looks like Wraith might be going through the same thing now.

  • I really don't get why they didn't extend the event until sometime in August, after the performance fixes have been released.

  • The only cosmetics that I’d consider buying are OG Stage 2 Nemesis and battle-damaged remake Stage 1 Nemesis.

  • Nothing. It’s fine where it is. Just pay more attention to your surroundings and plan your escape route.

  • Hopefully this is the end of the issues that plague last gen consoles.

Also that’s actually a good bonus if you use the Shrine for points. Since the perks are on sale now, you’ll have enough to buy two perks and get 300k BP from them. You’re already getting 300k BP from the log in bonus, so you can end up with a total of 600k BP.

  • Survivors are always going to whine about a random Killer and it’s Wraith’s turn right now. They’re just refusing to adapt to the new Wraith and hoping he’ll be nerfed. Guess he can’t be anything more than a punching bag.

  • The only reason I did this when I got it was because I main him. It needs to be changed to hitting four Survivors with your tentacle.

Jills DC if you chase/down them first, especially as Nemesis. it's like they're playing with Deliverance or something.

I think it’s because they’re expecting him to be roleplaying Resident Evil 3 by only going after Jill since she’s a STARS member and they don’t want that so they just leave.

  • He's great and doesn't need touching.

  • I'd like to suggest a couple more buffs:

    1. Make missing with his tentacle less punishing. Right now you need to have perfect aim for it to hit and if you do miss, you have to deal with a long cooldown. I was thinking making his tentacle wider at all tiers or decreasing the cooldown for missed attacks would help with this. Personally, I'd make his tentacle wider as it'll also help with those weird instances where you would think the tentacle should hit but doesn't for some reason.
    2. His hitbox seems bigger than normal. I've been pallet stunned at ranges that I wouldn't expect. I'm not sure why he'd need a larger hitbox.

Also, he was my first P3 and I think his bloody outfit looks nice.

  • Lithe needs more than that. I've been robbed of way too many hits because Lithe was there to completely erase a bad vault. It needs some serious changes.

Sorry, I just now saw this.

Like, the chapter? I've bought the chapter but I don't think I received it.

Yeah, it should be there if you bought the chapter. It's supposed to be a yellow charm with the Umbrella logo. If it's not there then I'd contact support.

  • The last gen version should just be delisted from the digital stores similar to what happened with Cyberpunk. Hit BHVR where it really hurts.

  • The tentacle's width is way too small. You need perfect aim to hit it. I think it's smaller than Deathslinger's harpoon.

As for the actual hitbox, it's weird. Sometimes it'll hit and sometimes it won't. It can get screwed up by pretty much anything. Also, what is that blue streak the tentacle leaves supposed to mean? Is that supposed to mark where the tentacle hit or is that supposed to be the hitbox?

  • Legion's power is literally turn yourself into a slightly faster M1 Killer who can't get downs.

  • Sluzzy is this your backup account? Shame you got banned. RIP

  • I had Haddonfield and Lery’s spawn with pretty much every pallet slot filled and with most windows open. All the Survivors had to do was literally just run forward, do gens, and hit the vault/drop button. And you want to know the best part? I’m pretty sure the Lery’s match had a ######### hacker!

Towards the end of the match, my hits were going right through a Feng like she wasn’t even there (she was not using any Exhaustion perks at the time). At first I thought it was a game-breaking bug since she was also on PS5. But then I remembered that Call of Duty is apparently about to get PS5 hackers so it I guessed that wasn’t impossible for DBD to have some. The odds were already stacked against me, but then you throw a possible cheater or a game-breaking bug in the mix? Didn’t know the game hated me that much.

  • I was wondering when I’d see another “nerf Doc” thread. We haven’t had one of them in a little while.

It already has a cooldown, so you just need to get good.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Even better: bring back the old ambiance and mist, and re-enable those moonlight offerings. Us old-timers miss DbD.

No, we don't. Those offerings can stay disabled.

  • I got to play it for the first time yesterday and couldn't help but smile as everything from my RE2 and 3 Remake playthroughs started coming back to me. I've played through both games five times each. However I don't remember the names of the rooms. I called the Safety Deposit Room "the room where Leon gets the shotgun and Carlos gets the battery".

  • It’s not just you.

I think the reason the event is so sweaty is because Survivors have to escape to get their crown, so they’re going to sweat. Killers are going sweat in return so they don’t come away with nothing. Those Killers soon expect all Survivors to be sweaty, so when they get a chill team, the team gets wiped out because of the Killer expecting sweaty players. Survivors who already have their crowns are also expecting all Killers to play sweaty, so they play sweaty in order to survive.

  • Close game while in the lobby or offering screen. Back to the queues they go!

  • I have 70-ish cakes just on Doctor and P3 Nemesis alone. Ever since the event began I've been getting a ton of cakes on Nemmy. Did someone at Umbrella tell the Entity to feed him a ton of cake or what?

  • Like Lightburn, it's an outdated mechanic that has overstayed its welcome.

    @Power_Guy said:

Survivors should have limited, replenishing Evil Within.

IE: It can run out (to prevent stalking 1 Survivor), but it slowly refills when not being drained, after a pause.

    That's a really good idea.

  • I got my first P3 50 character, my boy Nemesis!

The event extension has made me want to level up some more characters, so I’m going to get Trickster to 50 (my only Killer not at 50), Jill to 50 (currently 35), Meg to 40 (currently 32), and either Felix, Bill, or Adam to 40 (all are currently 10).

  • I wouldn’t get too excited. This is normal for the devs. They acknowledge it but nothing really happens. This has been happening for years now.

I am glad that the event and Rift are extended though! I was just thinking about leveling up some of my Survivors today. Most of them are only level 10.

  • There’s a couple of reasons:

    • His power destroys last gen consoles
    • There’s very obvious flaws with his power that will take at least a few months to be addressed
    • The hype of the new chapter has died down
    • Not everyone is a Resident Evil fan

I think the reason why survivors are sweaty is because of the crowns. All killers have to do to unlock their crown is to find one and play the game. Survivors have to find one and escape meaning they are going to play sweaty in order to escape and unlock it.

I think that only covers part of it because I'm also seeing licensed Survivors and Survivors already wearing a crown play that way.

    @TragicSolitude said:

Can't escape to unlock the crowns, Switch performance is stuttery and laggy so I go down quick in a chase, 95% of the time when I attempt to throw down a pallet nothing happens. God forbid I burn a cake, then I get tunneled out first thing with fewer than 4k points at base.

I wish I didn't want to unlock the crowns or level up any characters, I'd prefer to just not play at all right now. But this Switch account is new, I have nothing in terms of cosmetics and perks. :(

The crowns need some other requirement than escaping, something reasonable. If I survive to escape, I can't find a crown. If I find a crown, the killer can spot me from across the map and I don't survive to escape. It's frustrating as hell.

I think bringing back the style of older events (Scorching Summer BBQ, Lunar New Year 2018, Hallowed Blight, Moonrise) could be a good idea.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Wdym, survivors are always sweaty :/

It's never been this bad though. Usually it's a mix of chill and sweats (and even then they aren't that sweaty). This time it's just a bunch of players sweating hard.

    @papabear2009 said:

I know it's crazy but both sides are gonna try their best to win. PvP games are always gonna be competitive especially when rank play is the only solo queue option.

I'm not asking for people to stop trying to win and I understand that PvP games are competitive, but I wish they didn't play like it was some kind of tournament or there's a big prize on the line.

    @KerJuice said:

I just play regular as usual and assumed everyone else did as well. I don’t think I can turn on the juice like Bane and get better at the game. Maybe all the top tier players who don’t usually play as much, are on more often- grinding the event. I imagine to them, they’re playing like they normally would.

I never thought about that. They probably don't think they're playing differently.

    @lemonsway said:

Just don't play. You don't need the Game to tell you to play it, you either want or don't want. If things go south then stop your play session, do something else. I had the exact same thing happening to me, 5 Cake game and dumbasses just gen rushed me to the point i had Tinkerer going off in 3 different gens when i was at 2 hooks. I asked them why do they do that if there's 5 cakes in the match? They answered bro you're playing Ghostface, you're gonna get genrushed, i wouldn't if you weren't gen rushing but sure now it's my killer choice that's the problem.... I guess they were happy with measily 100k points when we could all get 250k plus if they just let me play too. It's the same thing as Gen Rushing on PTB's... why? You don't get anything from PTB's why are you ending the matches ASAP?

I can only conclude people don't like playing DbD that long, they want quick EZ wins and that's it. Thank God i used Steams Summer Sale to get some games i can use my time on cause playing DbD is just frustrating no matter how manny chances i give the game.

The only possible reason I can think of for playing like that on a PTB is to see how the new content works with their playstyles.

  • I'd still use BBQ because the aura reading is nice. I've actually never used WGLF before except for Adept David and a couple of older Tome challenges.
