Devotion 1 and like level 89. I started playing with a free trial in September 2017 and then I purchased the full game in October 2017. I'm on PS4 btw.
-
I really want to see Doctor as the Killer in the next Tome, but I think it'll probably be Wraith. The next Survivor will probably be Dwight or Jake. I'm thinking that they'll put Meg and Hillbilly together for the third Tome because both of them can sprint (Meg with SB, Billy with his chainsaw).
-
Wow I never realized that until today. I guess the ending of MK11 never took place then.

I've only had this happen once that I can remember. Had a match where I was unfortunate enough to be the last survivor and just needed 1 generator. The remaining 3 generators were all extremely close together and the killer had already closed the hatch. The killer stood in the middle of the 3 where he could see and hear any of them. No matter which one I tried to work on the killer was on top of me within a couple of seconds.
I would run away. He wouldn't chase me. He would just hit the generator to eliminate what little progress I had made and go back to the point in the middle of the 3. I tried several times. Finally I realized I wasn't going to be able to get one of the final 3 gens. I went and found every totem and cleansed it. I found every chest and searched it.
I would occasionally sneak up to a side of one of the gens where the killer couldn't see me and tap it just to make him run to it. After about 10 minutes of that the killer messaged me and told me he was going to report me for holding the game hostage and he wasn't going to allow me to get one of the final 3 gens so I may as well just come allow myself to be killed.
I was actually about to do just that. At least until he told me he was going report me and I was holding the game hostage. After getting the message I ran to the furthest corner of the map and stood there for 20 minutes until he finally DC'd.
Was this during the PTB for patch 2.0.0 where you could close the Hatch and the Survivor had to finish the gens to escape? If it wasn't then why didn't the EGC start after the Killer closed the Hatch? I was thinking that the EGC would've killed you or you could've opened a gate.
-
I started to use Dead Hard because I hadn't played a lot of Survivor recently, so I was in the gray ranks with Survivors that would unhook in the Killer's face without BT. Getting downed immediately after an unhook over and over again sucked, so I wanted to have some way to counter that (I'm still trying to get DS, even though I ######### despise the perk). I'm on PS4, so I don't have to deal with dedicated servers not working properly.
-
You brought a key. :p
The Emblem system is a mess right now. I'd love to know what went through the devs' minds when they were implementing the changes in 2.6.0.
-
Another 6+ months of dealing with Haddonfield and Coldwind's bullshit... sigh.
-
Really? Lery’s is pretty ok and isn’t in desperate need of changes. Who cares if it’s not that Killer’s specific map, we need Coldwind and Haddonfield reworked! This makes me wonder how many devs actually play a good amount of Killer. I know that the devs aren’t the hardcore Survivor mains that some people make them out to be, but there’s no way that they don’t know how bullshit those two maps are. Guess we have to deal with those maps for another 6+ months.
-
Try to have one Survivor on each gen. The Killer can't pressure all three at the same time. Don't be afraid of the terror radius. Stay on the gen until the Killer starts getting too close.
-
Put Clown in D tier and bring Doctor up to C tier. Doctor can be good once you have his shock timing down and account for how buggy the stun is.
Also put Hag and Freddy in front of Billy.
-
The PGTW buff, the Freddy rework, the Stranger Things chapter and The Plague.
-
Oni, Huntress, and Plague should use their weapons to slam it shut.
Billy and Leatherface should swing their chainsaw into it.
Doctor should use his hand to push it closed while releasing a shock and laughing.
Freddy should use his manipulation powers to force it closed while laughing.
-
It’s a pretty fun perk called Mad Grit. A lot of people combine it with Iron Grasp and Agitation to make basement builds.
It really sucks that there’s players who expect everyone to know everything about the game at all times. I guess people can’t make mistakes or be new to a game anymore.
-
Grabs became bugged on all platforms in 2.2.0 when the devs sped up the animation and they either haven’t found a solution yet or don’t care about grabs enough to fix them. I’ve seen the game pause, reject my grab, and let the Survivor go with maybe a normal M1 hit.
Just last night, I had multiple (at least four) incidents where my Killer would get into position to grab the Survivor out of a locker and the game would pause for a second just to let the Survivor jump out of the locker with Head On. It’s not a “oh the Survivor pressed the button 0.1 milliseconds before you did” situation. You could see me begin the locker grab animation, meaning the game registered that I grabbed the Survivor, but for whatever reason, it decided to cancel it out.

What about the reversed skill checks? afaik they're changing the random skill checks on the screen for those, and a reversed skill check doesn't seems to be much of a problem. I feel like its something every survivor will get used to after 3 or 4.
The random skill check placement is staying. The counter clockwise skill checks effect is replacing the Exhaustion effect on the Obedience and Iridescent King add-ons. Not sure why though. If the devs are trying to make Doctor fun to play against, then why give him an add-on that has a considerable chance to change the direction of skill checks (meaning you won’t know what kind of skill check you’ll get next) instead of just letting him keep the Exhaustion add-on? Too many Survivors relying too much on their Exhaustion perks?
-
Doctor (comes with the base game on consoles) and Demogorgon (free with the recent Nightmare edition).
-
I have two that are recent (all of my others are older):
- As Doctor, I went up against a Tapp who proclaimed himself to be the "godliest looper in DbD". He definitely acted like he was, but he didn't lead me on any long chases and I missed maybe 3 or 4 swings at the most.
- I prestiged my first character, Demogorgon. This was my first prestige (I actually wanted the bloody arms) and it was on a Killer I liked to play, so I was afraid of being stuck with a build that I didn't like. However, I owned three out of the four perks in the Shrine, so I could use them for BP. I just said ######### it and bought the perks from the Shrine and prestiged Demo. I ended up getting most of my build back at level 18 and I had a slightly improved version of it at level 35. My risk had paid off and I had some badass bloody arms to show for it.
-
I think it’s just that more Killers are aware of it. The window tech will only really work against new players. Against more experienced Killers, it’ll work maybe once if they forgot it existed or got distracted by something else. Not a lot of Survivors seem to try it though.
-
It’s to encourage players to drop ten ######### dollars on a skin.
-
The only nerf I can really imagine happening is Survivor breathing getting louder while you’re Exhausted. Anything else would probably be too much? If making it baseline is too much (some Survivors are way too attached to their Exhaustion perks) then maybe it could be added as a Mindbreaker buff? That perk needs a lot of love.
-
Legion. They are an actual 115% M1 Killer. Nothing to help at loops.
For Doctor, you just have to get the shock timing down (and take into consideration that it’s bugged, so your timing’s going to be a bit different than if it wasn’t).
-
I think it's too early to say right now.
-
I hate playing against Hag because my teammates refuse to crouch.
-
It’s only useful with Unnerving Presence. Doctor can get some extra benefits out of the perk with a large terror radius.
-
Death.
-
I have three favorite Killers and one that's about to join them.
DOCTOR (in case you're wondering, 99% of my games last between 11 and 25 minutes)
BBQ and Chili:
Double BP is always good. The aura reading is very helpful in determining if I need to go to the other side of the map or not.
Distressing:
Doctor actually wants a big terror radius to raise Survivors' Madness tier.
Unnerving Presence:
You'd be surprised at how often this perk works at higher ranks. It's saved me many times.
Overcharge:
The skill check becomes very, very difficult with Unnerving Presence and they can help stall the game
Add-ons: Iridescent King (overload the Survivors with afflictions) and Moldy Electrode (helps Doc at loops)
FREDDY
BBQ and Chili:
Works very well with his power. I can teleport to a gen that's near an aura and start chasing that Survivor.
Pop Goes The Weasel:
Freddy's teleport makes it easier to find a nearly completed gen and kick it.
Surveillance:
Tells me if I need to teleport back to a gen. Combine it with PGTW and I can quickly take a gen from 99% all the way down to around 40%.
Ruin:
The early game slowdown is always good and it's easier to defend my totem with BBQ and my teleport.
Add-ons: Red Paint Brush (Survivors starting in the Dream World makes it easier to use my abilities and if they want to wake up, they have to run all the way to their clock) and Paint Thinner (Watching a Survivor drop a Dream Pallet and then getting hit is so satisfying, you can't get that with the snares)
DEMOGORGON
BBQ and Chili:
Double BP and the aura reading are pretty good. I can teleport to auras if a portal is nearby.
Ruin:
Demo needs some time to set up his portals, so the early game slowdown can be a big help. It staying up and helping me out later is a bonus.
Dying Light:
The slowdown kicks in after Ruin has allowed me to set up my portals.
Pop Goes The Weasel:
This is just a good perk in general. If I think that a gen is nearing completion and I have a portal near it, I can teleport there and damage it.
Add-ons: Mew's Guts (Shorter missed Shred cooldown gets you back into the chase that much sooner and the extra portal is pretty nice) and Rat Liver (The increased movement speed while charging Shred is very helpful during a chase as it means you aren't slower than a running Survivor).
PLAGUE (the Killer I'm starting to love and is about to join the other three as my favorites)
BBQ and Chili:
Yeah, this perk again. You can probably tell that I love it. Makes tracking even easier with Plague.
Dying Light:
Even if you cleanse, you'll still be dealing with this slowdown.
Thanatophobia:
You don't want to cleanse? Scared of my Corrupt Purge? Ok then, have fun dealing with insanely slow gens!
Pop Goes The Weasel:
You thought double slowdown was bad? After a hook, I'll be coming to that gen that you've worked so hard on and delete 25% of your progress.
Add-ons: Black Incense (the aura reading is really helpful and tells me where to go even without a hook) and Vile Emetic (get Survivors broken faster to increase the slowdown, give me my tracking capabilities, and oneshot Survivors) or Ashen/Blessed Apple (At least one guaranteed Corrupt Purge can be devastating and in the case of Ashen Apple, the extra infection time for objects is cool).
-
Merry Christmas!
-
360s on console are nearly impossible to hit as Killer due to the low FPS.
-
Honestly, keys shouldn’t be in chests at all because of how powerful they are. Killers can’t just pull a Mori out of nowhere.
-
When they finally fix the sounds, so probably in few hundred years from now.

K, 60s of a usseles teammate.
It looks like you dont know that in DBD 1s is gold.
Now imagine 60s of basically being a bushdette.
You realize that you actually don't have to use DS every match? If the Killer's doing something else and isn't trying to tunnel you, then why do you need DS to still be active? Is it to ######### over the Killer because he happened to come back and find you healed up and working on a gen? He might have even hooked your rescuer and be on his to way to the gen that you happen to be at, only to get punished because he's playing too efficiently and that's a big no-no in DbD.
Of course if you have that big of a problem with not being able to use your DS every match, then you can be a useless teammate all you want.
-
At one time I think you could earn five pips at rank 1.
I'm guessing it's because you're at the highest rank in the game, so you're expected to play with little to no mistakes every time?
-
It's because DBD is very poorly optimized on console and each patch seems to make it worse.
-
I think DS should immediately deactivate when the Survivor interacts with something (no more invincibility lockers), another Survivor gets downed before the DS user (if the Killer had time to down another Survivor before getting back to you, then that means you failed to run away in time and don't deserve the escape), or the exit gates are powered (the stun is way too crippling at that point).
It shouldn't activate if the Killer is more than 32 meters away (let's be honest, if the Killer is looking for Survivors halfway across the map and is able to come back and still find you after you're unhooked, then that's you just being bad at hiding, not tunneling).
These changes will prevent DS from being abused and actually make it a fair perk.
-
Laurie and Hillbilly so two of the most broken maps in the game are gone.
-
About $40.
Wild Asylum Doctor ($10), Chemosynthesis Hag ($10), Roadrage Trapper mask and body ($5), Hallowed Blight Doc head ($5), a couple of common and uncommon Plague, Legion, and Wraith cosmetics (Leftover Cells), Rift Pass ($10).
After buying Doc’s head, I realized how overpriced these cosmetics actually are and stopped buying them. The only cosmetic I’m considering buying with Cells is the Chained Demogorgon and that’s only because I like playing him. Even then, I’m still not sure if I want to spend $10 on another cosmetic. Maybe I’ll just use my Cells from the premium Rift.
-
I think this might the worst the sounds have been so far. They're ######### terrible right now and make playing Killer unnecessarily harder.

Yes, it's the information they gave. But they also said nothing was finalized. It could be a "nerf" and it could be a "buff." Remember when they said Freddy's rework was going to make him worse when it basically made him one of the better killers in the game? It's a wait and see process and I'll reserve my opinion if it's a buff or a nerf when the final product comes out
You’re right. However, we are allowed to have first impressions of something. That’s what my post was. If Doc goes down the same path Freddy did, then my impressions will change.
-
Were you the Obsession? I think there's a Tome challenge that involves sacrificing the Obsession ten times.
-
It looks like it might've been one of those gens that can be done from all four sides. Maybe they were on the side that's the farthest away from the portal?
Either way, Demogorgon's portal tracking ability sucks. The range is #########. I've had gens where only one of the sides was blocked off (I could place a portal that would face the front, back, and other side) and the portal still wouldn't track them. It seems like you need both range add-ons for it for the tracking to at least do something. Also, they apparently don't track the Survivor if they're inactive (as in, you haven't teleported to or from that portal).
-
I don't really think I main a Killer. I just like these four more than the rest.
Doctor - ZZZZZAP!!! HEHEHEHE!!! ZZZZZAP!!! HEHEHEHE!!!!
Freddy - I didn't really play his first version that much, but I love his rework. His gen teleport can be very scary and it's very satisfying to see a Survivor drop a fake pallet.
Demogorgon - I love the monster aesthetic. Whenever I hit or Mori a Survivor with him, I'll actually imitate Demo roaring because it's so fun. When he growls after picking up or hooking a Survivor, I'll start moving my mouth around to imitate him.
Plague - I used to think she was completely garbage, but after playing as her myself, watching other people play her, and with the arrival of the slowdown builds, I'm enjoying her a lot.

I'm confused as to how people are already calling this a nerf to doctor. Imagine having counter clockwise skill checks with huntress lullaby (assuming it isn't cleansed right off the bat.) Doctor was already a weak killer. If anything this seems more like a plus to me. I hated having to switch stances a lot to shock people. Now I get a 60 second cool down? Nice. I'm sure the range add ons will be changed to other things. This is basically about a nurse level change which might actually make him better. Don't cry nerf until we see the final product.
My reply is based on the information that we have right now.
The counter clockwise skill checks are part of a very rare add-on and they won't be that effective against good Survivors most of the time.
I love the removal of stance switching. It got annoying having to do that every time I wanted to shock someone and it sucked moving at 110% speed.
A 60 second cooldown is way too long for his Static Blast. That's a long time in DbD. All it does is increase the Survivor's Madness tier. That's all. It doesn't warrant a 60 second cooldown. Unless there's some secret ability that justifies the cooldown, then the devs should either lower it to 30 seconds at the most or just bring back the Static Field and buff that. Unfortunately, this is probably going to be ignored (at least the second part) because the devs have showed that they have no clue how to balance this game by prioritizing Survivor fun over everything else. It was better when they were trying to come up with brand new powers and "break the game".
-
It’s because of how unsafe a lot of them are. You actually want to leave some of them up just because of how unsafe they are.
-
Never. Even the Dweets and shirtless Davids.
-
The devs definitely didn’t put that much time into Demo’s add-ons. It seems like he was just put in the game as a tool to make money. His best add-ons shouldn’t be common and uncommon ones (Mew’s Guts and Rat Liver).
All of his very rares and couple of his Rares have really low numbers. They’re PATHETIC. I think he also needs more Shred add-ons.
-
If the opposing side didn't abuse any broken mechanics.
-
I’m not sure how I feel about them. His Static Blast currently sounds terrible because of the 60 second cooldown at base. If it stays that bad, then I’d like to have the Static Field back. The removal of Madness 3 causing Exhaustion from a couple of his add-ons makes no sense to me. It should’ve stayed and have the counter-clockwise skill checks become part of his base kit or a different add-on. I do like the removal of Treatment Mode and addition of counter-clockwise skill checks though.
The devs said there’s going to be a post in January that talks about Doctor’s changes. Hopefully it addresses my concerns.

So when are Leatherface, Legion, and Clown getting buffed?
You know the devs are humans, right? They’re not robots designed with the sole purpose of working 24/7.

Everything you've said here is true but survivor players love it that way and lower rank/inexperienced killers don't understand how bad the problem genuinely is. I can play for 4 hours on console and have every game end like that no matter what tactics, killer or perks I play. Nothing you do impacts them meaningfully, especially if they have chat and just call out everything you do. And it's not "git gud" it's a serious design problem
Also don’t forget that the devs like to balance around green ranks.

there isnt a better way, and slow vaulting isnt a better way. better for survivors but not killer. nice try tho.
I think there is, but it would probably require a full rework, which is something the devs didn’t want to do with Doctor.
