I doubt there will be an answer. But at least they didn't delete this post. That's progress.
-
yep. gotta love that answer.
"We have the right to ruin what you pay for. Here's the EULA, you have to agree to that right to use this software you paid for, so we know we don't owe you anything. Enjoy your DLC."
i'm starting to think EULA are more of a scam, then a protection for players.
-
I enjoy the clown. He's a really good "Killer Basics" kinda killer.
He can work at higher ranks, but you have to have very solid killer mechanics. And you have to know the best way to break loops, and catch people between loops.
-
So, the music only plays, when you aren't in a lobby :(
-
I like your work btw.
I want to state that the original thread did not mention anyone by name. I think a single streamer was named as a good example in the posts, but nothing negative. In fact, the lack of negativity on that thread was surprising. Which is why i'm all the more confused by the removal.
-
Well damn. I read the whole patch notes, but I guess missed it with the density of stuff there.
I was wrong,
And an #########
So double ######### me.
-
lolololololololol
Someone didn't read the patch notes.
This is, 100% intended
-
his power is only useful to get the first hit.
For the rest of the game your power will actively be used against you by good players.
They wanted it that way, that's why they took away blood pools, blinded him coming out of fatigue, and made his fatigue longer while nerfing CD add-ons.
-
@Nicholas No one really knows, people are just hating.
It is not the tv show one, the t.v. show one did not have rights to the mask, like DBD does.
They took a little creative liberty with Ghostface's jacket, and didn't make it flappy, insead it looks leathery.
I will remind you, THIS IS WHAT THE T.V. SHOW LOOKED LIKE.
A melted mask had sex with someone with down syndrome, and forgot to wear a condom.
This is what our Ghostface looks like
Yeah the longer, cut up cloak gave his costume more of a ghost look in the movies. but this look, is pretty good. And honestly probably what Ghostface would look like, if rebooted.
-
No clue. i like ghostface. looks good, power looks good.
That perk he has is going to be interesting for some killers. (Jump scare clown will be coming to town)
People have been harassing the mask copyright holder. Not sure why.
I've heard some people saying he looks generic like the t.v. show and i'm like "did you even see the t.v. show?" they couldn't get rights to the mask, and it looked like a melted mask banged someone with down syndrome without a condom. But we got the real mask.
-
just saying, there are ways to stop full on game hostage on the stairs, wihtout gutting valid killer tactics.
Something like "if killer remains at the entrance of the stairs for 15 seconds, they lose collision"
bam, easy fix. No more hostage, huntress still gets her basement game.
-
Why the ######### stop this very valid basement tactic.
Once hit, people can run through the killer, so at best, he gets one free hit, and you get out. Nevermind how long it took the killer to put someone in that basement (longer then your average hook, and every moment counts)
So now you just removed most of the reason killers basement people. Pretty much just trapper and Hag will basement now.
-
he is guaranteed to get nerfed down to Meh
But his power smells really fun.
so yeah, probably. i try to get all the killers.
-
######### are peoples problems.
It's one thing to ######### on these official boards about your gripes. It's another thing to harass people because...what? He told us who the new killer was a bit to early? Or are you sad his cloak isn't flappy?
######### grow up
-
exactly. They aren't really testing anything. They are showing us stuff.
Sure, if something is really really wrong, it gets fixed. But let's be honest. They knew about those problems before they showed them to us.
I honestly think they need more Devs. Because the lack of people working on this project is the only explanation i have for the following.
Refusing to hotfix legion mending exploit, and instead banned people.
Refusing to do more then 1 iteration of PTB before a build goes live.
Choosing between live streams and "community events"
-
i don't know about...Fun....
But it is indeed far far less stressful. in fact it's that stress that keeps me from playing at times. I'm just like "Why? I can smoke a bowl and write, or watch something scary. Why stress myself out? Why worry if that window I Bammed will actually be blocked for the survivor. Why worry that while I'm chasing one person, three people are pushing three different gens that only take 2 mins to finish."
Also don't forget the Plagues nerf. The ONLY purpose of making her slower while holding vomit was because they thought she would have above a 50% kill rate. (which doesn't take into account rank.....)
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Stole your better punchline, lol.
1 word beats 2 words for a punchline. I bow to your comedic might.
-
i will admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong. he's not a better legion.
He's a better meyers.
-
i will admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong. he's not a better legion.
He's a better meyers.
-
You should be able to crawl past. The hag's phantasm is what gains collision, not the trap.
What i mean is, the fake hag that pops up is solid, and acts as a wall. You should be able to urban evasion right past the untripped trap.
If you can't, it's a bug.
-
-
Valid points. If we went by popular vote, we wouldn't have a handful of my fave's.
-
according to the stats, the game is balanced.
Most killers sit around a 50% kill rate, which is what they are shooting for. even if this wasn't broken down by rank.
-
Not a bad idea, honestly. But do the other language communities frequent the official forums enough to get quorum? I know we have some korean fog whisperers and such. And they should be represented.
-
actually, one yellow add-on for the plague usualy nets me d/c's mid game.
The one that gives you a corrupted fountain at the start of the game.
A lot of survivor wont cleanse, so they all run around broken. Once i got them all sick....
Surprise bitches!
The not cleansing thing is a really dumb way of playing against her, she's not Legion.
edit: That being said, she is add-on dependent. if they made it so that a fountain auto-corrupts if all survivors are sick, it would be great.
Since they added that thing that removes all her corrupted pools if they corrupt them all. (cause choosing not to corrupt your power to keep them all broken shouldn't be a viable strat? even though it's the default strat for survivors? This nerf shows that the devs feel that Survivors should be allowed to remove options for the kille,r but the killer isn't allowed to remove options for the survivors. Just look at how mch they argued about the Pigs traps in the new EGC)
-
I love the Hag, because of her predictive playstyle.
And i love the Clown, because he's the most fun to chase people with.
-
Yeah, que times in swf tend to be quick. When i'm in a 3 man it's near instant. But it only needs to find one poor soul for us to rush gens while they dangle on a hook.
-
@Peanits You just have to give her the ability to move at full speed while holding in her vomit, like on the ptb. She was plenty strong, but also able to be countered through jukes and good pathing. I actually don't know why ya'll nerfed that other then trying to keep her at a 50% kill rate.
Do ya'll consider a 50% kill rate balanced? (this is an honest question)
-
The point of LSS is that you don't get to take frnakins, or lightborn. unless they is how you always build that killer, meaning, you already had it on.
Becaus,e as the name suggests, a last second switch, switches at the last second, so you can't change your setup.
I personally think if someone switches survivors, it should add 6 seconds to the clock.
-
They stream, well a bunch of them do.
However most of them are not that skilled. @not_Queen has the most skill of anyone working on the game. It's hillarious to see her as a killer when the devs stream playing together. (like at the legion release, she just smashed them)
-
Ahh I'm US, so that might be it. I do hear killer lobbies are long in the EU. Tru3 comments on it a lot.
-
I'de be down with some cosmic horror making it's way into the game. (besides the Entity ofc, they are a cosmic lovecraftian themed horror obviously)
Power: face hugger.
You leave a face hugger, if a survivor passes near it, it attaches to them, alowing there aura to be seen, and sapping the strength to throw down pallets.
-
@SunderMun That's some of it. but i'm not insta-quing like i used to. For a good while before the last patch, i would get instant games no matter what role I played.
My killer que times are super fast.
hmmm... What country are you in? Maybe that's a factor?
-
And still lose?
Why are you breaking pallets as a hag? Trap and go man, trap and go. You want them to use that vault again, cause next time it's a free hit. And before you say "they will bust the trap with the flashlight" set the trap to the side of the pallet, preferably in a crook, and then push them the direction that doesn't give them an angle on the trap with the light.
Edit: i don't mind flashlights much. but I do hate LSS (last second switching) As it's a way to try and be toxic, by not letting the killer take the perks or add-ons to counter.
-
@KaoMinerva and that's why i never prestige. It's a waste. It takes me so long to get the perks i want to run on my survivors and killers, now you want me to get rid of them, for a better chance at rolling freddy splinters? no thanks.
I would LOVE for a bloodhunt extension. In all honesty, until they rework this bloodweb, bloodhunt should be the usual state of things.
-
4 man's are only a problem, when they consist of high skill players. Especially the week of the 13th, when they start deranking so they end up green rank after reset, instead of purple.
a 4 man of greens are just as likely to be 4ked as a group of solos in that level. So it is hard for them to make adjustments to this. Since nerfing them will hurt more people, then it will help.
So what they want to do is bring solo survivors up to the same-ish information level as 4 man. And then buff Killers to make up for it. However, they have been buffing survivors without much of help on the killer side. Which is why the game is currently heavy on the survivor side right now and the killer pool is dwindling, that's why the survivor lobbies are taking longer and longer.
In truth, the answer is an adjustment of the objective. They just need to make people have to find a "used part" to start a generator. This would make "Brand new part" have a solid reason for existing, and be a little less op. This would buff gen times a little wihtout adding more time holding m1 (or whatever button you use. I use a controller for survivor personally, feels better to me) and encourage more chases and escapes.
-
@BillHanselman this is a forums, old school style. just make a topic introducing yourself.
Keep in mind the official forums are full of jaded vets like me
-
the data sheets have finally shown it - the plague is one of the worst killers. not like the community didnt know it but now its offical.
Actually the insta-heal isnt bad. if she could hold her vomit without movement penalty, like on the PTB, she would be much more viable.
-
edited the post with an actual pic. i thought a thumbnail would show, my b.
-
got halfway through Jane's bloodweb so i can unlock her perks for jeff. So not horrible.
Still wish the bloodweb would be reworked.
-
pig needs a buff absolutely, but wont get it.
Just like when they removed the docs ability to interupt vaults with his shock, they didn't bother increasing the range on it to make up for lost utility. They just let a weak killer get worse.
-
Make flask of Bleach base kit, and make new flask of bleach now read.
"Injured survivors afflicted with wasted become broken for 30 seconds"
This will give him counter to the instaheal, 3 hit tank meta going around right now.
And help him cut off those loops. He can still be looped with the normal gas.
Edit: i also want to point out, 50% kill rate is balanced, in the eyes of the devs.
It means half the survivors die,and half survive.

I just want to make sure I am not misinterpreting you.
You do understand that the stats being displayed are not official BHVR stats, but rather something put forth by someone on Reddit, correct?
That part must have been right before the clip started. my bad. all my math... all for nothing!
-
@tag Actually, yes, everything he says supports it.
I will walk you through it, where you can even see the stat i discussed, in the video @peanits posted.
Again, video is here: https://www.twitch.tv/lmclean_bhvr/clip/SnappyRamshackleIguanaPupper?filter=clips&range=7d&sort=time
SO in this video, while he talks, you can clearly see the stats of where survivors remove their traps. Clearly at box 1, it states that 51.2% of survivors remove at the first box. This is a clue. Write this down to remember it.
Next, he describes how the RBT works. When you generate an RBT (put it on someone's head) it generates a key ID. This is an RNG roll for each of the boxes. When you generate a RBT (place it on someone's head) It generates a key id, it then gives that key id to a box. Remember this, write it down, it's a clue.
There are 4 jigsaw boxes by default. That means the statistics for removal should be 25% across the board, in a perfect world. However, the success rate on the first box is above 50%. This is a statistical abnormality. Even considering the free will aspect of the problem, that statistic shouldn't be over 50% unless their was a pattern for the RNG for the Key ID.
To figure out why, we look at the other clue, that the key id is generated when you place a trap on a survivor., this is where the pattern would develop. If it were rolling on a static field (boxes 1-4 are always 1-4 during the match) then if it rolled the same thing, it would still put the key in random parts of the map. which would statistically lower the chance of a first trap removal.
Now when you factor in it rolling which box is considered "box 1" at the same time, you come up with the possibility of doubles occuring. when rolling 2 d6, you have a 1 in 6 chance of rolling doubles. 2d4, is 1 in 4, or 25% of the time. If you add that 25% of the time, with the statistical norm that 25% of people should get it on the first box. You come out with about 50% chance that the first box searched (the box the survivor can get to first) will be the correct box.
-
@soshidow A lot.
As I said in my OP. it lets me see where the killer is if they are chasing, where that chase is going, so i know what gens are safer to do, I can see if people are working on gens on the other side of the map or not as well.
-
Hag. Just look at the statistics. Highest kill rate of any killer.
-
This is the event that lets buy all my mori's for the 14th of the month.
Ahhh 14th of the month. Mori day.
edit: I will state that I've been playing more "polite" during the event. Unless the survivors are toxic.
-
@Peanits So, we just have to wait for you to fix the current horror show of a bloodweb, and then we get them too? Will they be different color glowy?
Seriously though. The grind is to much. I still don't have all the perk combos on all the killers I like to play. I've had many people agree with me when I say things like. "If I unlock a perk by grinding one person, it should be unlocked at level 1 for everyone else."
If for no other reason then it takes away the feeling of accomplishment when you unlock the new perk as a teachable. Because I then have to go unlock it again.
-
I've been using thantophobia with my chaser builds. (Ruin, enduring, spirit fury) The reason for Thano is because most survivors wont heal until it's time to unlock the gates. So this will use that mechanic against them a bit. (ps: I still wish survivors dying didn't weaken Thano)
Discordance is strong for her as well. (as it is for most killers)
Bamboozle would be good too, if it wasn't for the bug that makes it useless, randomly (don't bother Baming the killer shack window ie)
-
@Delfador It because it's being looked at in subjective terms of first and last.
Instead of distance the survivor has to travel to find the box.
Closer= easier
Further= harder.
