  • @Peanits That sounds dynamic, and is probably why more then 50% of survivors get the trap off first try. It's generating a key to closer boxes. There's some rng to it, but maybe ya'll could touch up this code?

TY very much for the info though. You just helped me win an arguement.

  • @Mushwin You don't wanna hang with me. Im a bad boy. i've been banned. LOL

  • @Peanits The only problem with claudette is her color pallet. She was made before it was much of a concern I imagine. But all survivors tend to have a light color in their pallet to break it up.

And then their's Claudette. She is the exception, and it's something your community has asked ya'll to touch up for a long time. Her basic, no skin, set has no lighter colors in it. And when you cover it in dark blood, it becomes a very effective camo. Her faded and dirty pink shirt is not bright. Especially considering reds are seen as black in the dark. (this is how light works, and how our eyes work)

and Especially on lower graphics and fidelity. Like you see on ps4. (i say this having reached rank 1 on ps4 a handful of times before switching to pc)

A simple easy change would be two reverse the coloring on her shirt, from mostly faded pink with green trim, to a lighter green, with pink trim.

As opposed to over 1k vote ups..... I need to troll more.

  • Empathy is FAR FAR stronger then what you got here as the SWF equiv.

Even with constant callouts of pallet drops and jukes, you wont give as much info as i get for empathy.

Because empathy pretty much covers the whole map. So i can watch the chase in real time. It's...Honestly stupidly OP.

  • @Peanits

Thank you for that. could I get some clarification on the process though?

In my experience the right box is usualy the closest box to where the trap was placed on you.

So my question is: How are the boxes numbered by rng? Are they numbered at the start of the match, and fixed? (Meaning: every time you put a trap on, the roll is static. Box 1 will always be the the one in the south corner ie)

Or are they dynamic? (Meaning: Each time you place the trap all boxes get numbered at that time, and the game rolls on this new set . So the closest box might be '1')

  • more purple flashlights and stuff.

Cause the people with the most experience need the most help surviving.

  • @not_Queen

Alright, i record a lot of my game,s so this is good for me.

Could I convince you to make a post about it in news so that other players know?

Even if almost nobody reports, a statement from the devs that you can be banned for it if the killer submits a recording, should curb some of the abuse. For the same reason people stop at stop signs when there's no traffic or police.

  • You'de need enough auric cells to buy the pass again.

There would need to be seasonal cosmetics.

The latest DLC should be included in it.

New emotes. I'de rather a survivor drop a dance after a pallet, instead of t-bags. Cause there will never be an end to BM.

New Killer Emotes: See above reasoning.

Blood points to help the horrible grind

Blood Shards for more customization options

Generic Mori's any killer could use would be a nice touch

And it shouldn't take playing DbD like it's a job to unlock it all.

edit: Also challenge leaderboards for both killer and survivors. So people can compete to be the best Hag, trapper, Jeff, or Claudette. Ect.

Also: I hate the seasonal pass/ battle pass/ paid for progression rewards in a game i've paid so much for already. Most of this could/ should be implemented for free.

  • @ShrekIsHot Sorta. I wouldn't want it with nurse at all. i am going to give it a try with spirit too. This actualy makes me wonder....

Are there other killers who are better if played with a controller?

You can actually 360 with a controller easier though, going to be honest. I play survivor using a controller, and have for a long time. Wiggling the bar beats bashing space, or taping A&D, and the button configuration feels right. I just always thought mouse and keyboard to be better for killer, due to better aiming reaction. And that would be solidly true, if not for the Auto aim feature.

So killers like huntress and nurse, probably bad.

    Spirit and Hag? Hmmm....

  • @ShrekIsHot Actually...... Yes. I was surprised, but it's easier to spin with a controller. Which helps with him. A lot more then I thought.

  • @thatguyinktown he just came through, i'm blazed and ready for double points legion with a controller.

  • @thatguyinktown

You might not be wrong..... Imma try it.

  • @Orion I've been saying it for a while now. Gens need a part to be installed to have repairs started. It would solve the issue.

  • ahem... may i have your attention please.

TOLD YOU MOFO'S HAG WAS THE BEST KILLER.

  • Just want to update everyone that they have seen the thread.

Now to cross my finger,s and hold my breath. Not cause i'm waiting for change,s but because this was my last hit of weed.

  • @NoShinyPony

A few things to point out about the ignorance defense.

The games I'm complaining about take place in single digit ranks, with people taking the most efficient routs that they plan. I watched the guy do it on purpose the first time i chased him to the shack. I recognized what was happening, and dropped the chase. Flushed my gens, and ended up in a chase with him again. This was a SWF team, i should mention. So it was called that i broke chase, and they scattered off gens till he could pick up the chase again with me.

And then he went back to the killer shack. i knew his pathing, so i forced him to tripple jump the window, just to make sure it closed and to tell myself "surely that window will close this time."

Nope, and he knew it. He jumped it a fourth time, and i d/ced. It's a swf with the designated distraction abusing a near infinate loop. why play that?

  • @AlphaJackson It does matter though.

While I will still play her all fugly with no real detail to her face, and her secondary color being pale mud (even though the picture of her shows her secondary color as a rich brown native to black people, with white detailing, which looks MUCH better)

it doesn't mean I don't want to show her off, and dress her up. ANd when i do, i'de like for the golden dress detail to not blend in with the pale mud and white color pallet, so her clothing i paid 10 usd for looks good.

  • @Orion Oh they know. but to make sure I did @Peanits and @not_Queen

It's a little strange that this is during their active times but no view from them.

  • @slayer No. They vault while in the chase. It never breaks.

  • @Jonathanskilz said:

@SmokePotion if im right that only hapens if you loose chase so dont loose chase lol

incorrect. come back when you have half the hours played at rank 1 I do.

  • @fluffybunny it does count. at least im 85% sure you get a point bonus for it, and that's the trigger MoM is looking for. However, without add-ons his shock can be hard to hit, especially against decent survivors.

Since they nerfed him a while back, i was hoping they might buff the range on his shock therepy to make up for the fact it wont interrupt vaults anymore. It might not have been intended, but removing it definately hurt his ability to counter loops.

  • Evil is subjective. The clown has issues. Issues, and a human finger collection.

  • Well, not all m1 killers.

Clown can counter it. It's funny to see how hard MoM users avoid his gas. They will give you free hits even.

Wraith has a hard time because he usualy only gets the first hit off his power. Cloaking in chase is a good way to lose the chase.

Trapper has traps. And we all know they are OP, and he is really the S tier killer of the game. ok, is he gone?

Doctor is taking sick days till he can figure out his MoM issues.

Pig Is like wraith, but she brings hats. And hats help.

  • I think it's because the red stain isn't actually a lighting effect, like it looks like. It's a single primitive skinned to look like a red lighting effect. It doesn't have collision, so it pierces through walls.

However, I'm in the school of people that don't think the survivors actually need the red stain. Since good survivors are watching the killer and don't rely much on the red stain, except to see what corner the killer is coming around.

So the red stain is more of a crutch for bad survivors. A bad crutch since it can and often is, used against them.

  • He lost his feel. Doesn't matter how ballanced he is. He just feels like another killer with a knife, in stead of a maniac hunting down survivors.

  • It's a solid perk at higher ranks, a moot point at lower ranks.

At lower ranks killers aren't used to the sounds, so will rarely hear you when you are injured.

once you are around single digit ranks killers have enough experience to make out the different sounds, and will your moans of pain to hunt you.

So, if you are playing a build where you are expecting to shinobi by the killer while injured, take it.

  • @Poweas You wouldn't run 2 exhaustion perks, for the same reason people don't now.

However an exhaustion slot would allow them to take even more nefarious combos, since they would have all 4 slots available.

But same for killers with a hex slot.

Honestly the only thing that I feel would make this problematic is the lack of a neutral exhaustion perk.

that is my thought as well.

But i've also thought that they should release a few more common pool perks on each side for a while now.

  • I'de be ok with this

if survivors had a dedicated exhaustion slot.

  • @Niitosky They would have to have bought publishing rights to reproduce the blu-rays.

However, they could have only bought rights for reproduction of the films. This is common in the industry. As a writer I can sell the e-book rights to amazon, and physical book rights to one of the big 8, and movie rights to netflix. (not that anyone would accept such a deal, i'm just giving an example for clarity)

So you could be right, and we have that here. In which case, I'm all for getting both.

  • @PaulieEsther

    My theory is thus:

Ghostface has 2 copyright holders. Lionsgate and mask dude.

Lionsgate owns Saw. Saw released January 1st, 2018, a month after that cap arrived in the files. So they were talking to them about Saw and were like "Hey, you also have the copyright for scream right, let's do ghostface!"

and lionsgate was like "I'm DTF, but you gotta get Mask dude to agree." So they did some basic work, but things got held up in negotiations. So, to test out the idea, we got Legion. Kinda like a living PTB

I think this, because this is how they got Ash's likeness. They have a good relationship with Lionsgate, but Lionsgate didn't own likeness rights for Ash and Ghostface, so negotiations and such took a while.

  • i was sitting here listening to that and i was like

"how long am i going to listen to a dude laugh, cough, and mix a drink?"

  • i'm all for this.

says the Hag main that would then run Ruin, Huntress' lullaby, Thrill of the hunt, Devour hope, and haunted grounds.

then change his name to Hex: All of Them

  • @ItsYourBoyGuzma As long as i can have my sexy maid hag

  • depends on what they do, and what perks i get, and what game fixes they implement.

  • @T0xicTyler

At no point did I claim it was OP, I said it was a staple build used to compete at higher skill levels. A staple build that shows that every such staple build requires at least one paid-for dlc perk to make them work.

The discussion was that of pay to win, not overpoweredness.

  • @Mushwin said:

Legin goes about stabbing people....so does Ghost Face....they both go to school....use a small knife.....stabby stabby....people will end up cheesed off cos ghost face is like legion

    Leatherface

  • @T0xicTyler

While you might be right about any 1 perk. It's because it takes a loadout. And while a couple of perks might come from the common pool, they will hinge on a p2w perk or 2.

    ie:

A common chaser perk set up (wraith, clown, ect): Brutal Strength, Enduring, SPIRIT FURY

brutal and enduring are lackluster by themselves, this combo is built around spirit fury.

  • @T0xicTyler

    I can see your point.

But on the other hand, this game has a pretty heavy pay to win situation as it is. Pretty much every killer perk that's used, is paid for.

Survivors have a little better pool, but better perks can be bought with actual money.

And since that happens every 3 months.... You can see where i'm going here.

If it included the newest DLC for less, I guess I could see the community kinda turning a blind eye to it. Some of us would still be genuinely upset, a slice would leave. But the majority would probably accept it, since it would be a cheaper form of the current p2w cycle, and gives us more.

In fact, that thought might deserve it's own topic.

  • in fact, you could say it's the most balanced part of this game, since it mostly happens when all people are hooked. And I think that's when the devs inteded for it to really kick in.

I'm don't mind it. Most of the time I end up throwing them back on the hook anyways.

But sometimes. sometimes one gets off and frees everyone.

And sometimes that person is me.

  • @whodonit Exactly, we've been turning a blind eye toward the pay to win aspect of this game for a while. Making me pay even more.....

I'de love a tournament scene. But not like this.

    Not like this.

  • @se05239 One thing we do have to consider: At least they asked first.

I just hope the answer is a resounding "No."

I also hope that they don't need the money, like I had previously predicted they might, due to lawsuits, ect.

  • @not_Queen said:

It's a feedback survey and a poll of opinions, we want to learn more about our Community's interests.

In this case, the ''purchasable pass'' is a system that is already present in many games, the question is: is DBD Community interested in something like that? That's all there is to it.

@not_Queen I want to ask YOU a question. Not Job you. You that likes to play video games.

Do you think it's ok to lock progression behind a pay wall for a game you've already paid for, and bought tons of dlc for?

  • Kobe is fine. But It does absolutely suck when you get everyone down, and one kobe's off.

But statistically, it's a solid chance of happening.

3 tries * 4 people = 12 tries to get a 4%. which is the same as like, getting a legendary in hearthstone. Which also tends to happen at about 1 in 12 packs.

  • @legion_main I didn't even think about the blood point offering. That would make mori's more fun for me to use.

  • she is framed by the shadows.

At some point they gotta touch up her color pallet.

  • @legion_main

I do think Cypress should be baseline for killers. Honestly, it wouldn't be anything but fun.

However I think the best thing for the other 2 mori's, is to make them killer power add-ons. This way the killer has to sacrifice some utility for them.

  • Dumb idea.

Instead they need to work on the main objective of the survivors (the gens) and make them more dynamic and interesting. That way chase extenders like insta-meds, and mom and strong lunch box combos aren't op. (commodius with instructions and a wire spool can do about 3 gens by itself)

dont treat symptoms or you just make the problem worse.

@TheShape78 In wiki, there is a killer that is not released into the game (@DocOctober thanks for putting it into wiki) called "The Teacher" which had a survivor with a nuisance hat on and used a ruler blade as his/her power

Dunce cap, you mean. Completely different cap then this one, I've seen both files. This graduation cap was not in the teacher files before. it showed up recently.
