  • You could literally just make it a bunney ear hat, instead of a hoodie. And it would fixe the 3 part problem

  • Honestly, WGLF and BT would need to be combined to make a BBQ equiv.

other ideas that would work include.

Make it an exhaustion perk. Give you and the unhooked person a 150% speed boost for 3 seconds. This will help them get to somepleace to heal, TOGETHER.

Make it like Hope: 6-9% speed increase for 20-30 seconds after unhook. (you pick the scaling and who this effects, both, or just one survivor since it could work with any combination and i don't want to choose just one)

@Peanits How about this? Give the perk the ability to help with a safe unhook. Just like BBQ helps you get that next hook for the stack.

  • cause... the killer doesn't deserve a 4k for doing his job right?

    Grow up.

  • If I intentionally tunnel, like if I'm against a 4 man, swf, or the team is putting ona lot of pressure. i will usualy tunnel 2 lives off a person, and move to the next. Setting people up for an end game death hook death match.

However there are plenty of times I don't intentionaly tunnel. These include: Survivor took bad pathing and I clearly see them after the unhook, and see no other targets.

Unhooked Survivor trips my hag traps. No offense, but the survivor watched me set these up around them, they had an idea of the best means of escape. but likely was looking at survivor auras instead. When i trap a hooked survivor, I'm not preventing unhooks, I'm preventing the escape from the hook area.

I will state that sometimes when I tunnel a person down, i will slug them and take another chas,e if I think I can get that chase before/ around the time the downed survivor gets picked up. Giving them another life, and pulling a total of 3 people off generators.

  • @Kiskashi That wasn't my arguement. I never once suggested buying a new consol to play dbd.

I suggest ditching the outdated concept of a consol all together and spending the same amount of money on a gaming PC, that can do business tasks, and other things. Far better investment then a piece of hardware you can't upgrade wihtout buying a whole new one.

I'm just stating a fact. the regular xbox1 and ps4 don't have the hardware to run the game at a good framerate. Especially if the killer is using one. Maybe dedicated servers will help. We'll see.

  • @thesuicidefox

This does not seem to cause an issue with literally any other game.

And again. Sounds have a range.

  • @thrawn3054

We have an unpopular opinion I guess? This makes 0 sense. But i guess people think that chase music should cover up all sounds for a killer? Fun times. People need that much of a crutch. But i guess they are happy trolling killers.

  • yes, killer hearing the sounds he's supposed to hear, is game breaking.

Again, sounds have ranges for a reason in this game.

    Also works for survivors too.

  • If i'm not mistaken, if you are using old hardware console's, and not the newer "pro" or "1x" then you are very likely to never play this game at a decent frame rate.

The newer boxes have hardware comprable to currentish gaming pc's, and so should have hope.

@Peanits Is this an accurate assumption? Or am I missing something?

edit: Oh and the killers console probably matters a bit more then yours.

  • @TheShape78

I can agree with the statement, but not the instance.

I get it, you want the iconic GF image. That's cool. I just think this version looks better.

  • except that the servers are at LEAST 1 patch away, but the roadmap for it looked more like 2.

So we will get to enjoy another 3-6 months of d/c meta.

Remember kids, the target number is 40%. Keep your d/c's below that and you're safe.

  • @pemberley

It's also an exploration of the copcat killer concept. When Scream came out there was talk about this in the media. People were afraid people would copy what they saw in games like Grand Theft Auto, and Horror movies. So they used that concept to make a human slasher.

  • Teddy bear picnic

    Lockers contain food.

Feed the killer sweets before they get upset.

  • No thanks. You think it's hard to see p3 claudette now. wait until she can just lay down anywhere and be a batch of grass.

  • @TheShape78

You understand that you are trying to say the generic flappy ghost body you can buy at any haloween store 3 months before haloween, is better then the detailed costume he has in Dbd.

Sorry, i just don't see it. It's thin black material with some flaps cut. it has no detail, it doesn't add much to the costume as a whole.

I stand by my previous statement. If we were to get a scream reboot today, GF would look similar to what we got. Because the costume has more depth.

  • i used to mostly play killer. but atm I'm actually a Jeff main. Till the game's balancing gets worked out, and bugs are fixed.

  • survivors just D/C.

They do it against my hag, they do it against my clown.

People just quit when it doesn't look like a perfect game, because it costs them nothing, and almost guarantees the killer wont pip.

  • Yeah, it takes knowledge of the mechanics to use properly.

And it requires you to put someone on the hook first, so it's not perfect.

    But it helps.

  • You can't reliably chase the person that unhooked?

  • Kinda? i'll explain.

    For survivors, absolutely.

Selfcare, Sprint Burst, Empathy, Balanced Landing, Andrenaline Burst, iron will, Urban Evasion and bond are all used at higher skill levels, and you can make a decently strong build out of those perks. Probably good enough to get you to Red if you know how to play.

But killers? Kinda. Your only choices for Killer with the base game are Trapper, Wraith, Billy, huntress, and Nurse. 2 out of 5 are the strongest in the game, and can be played without perks if you get the mechanics of being a killer down. and 3 will leave you crying after every match because you don't have the perks they need to work.

Note: ps4 gets hag, and has access to ruin, so they have a better go of it.

  • @TAG

The surprise part of the attack isn't basic. if the power registers as a surprise attack, it shouldn't count. In fact, i was under the impression this is how it should be, to be in line with spirit and Hag in this regards.

I've never seen a MoM proc against my hag. Since 90% of my hits are phantasm attacks.

    Edit:

Also, make your choice counters MoM, by removing one of the procing hits.

  • I'm changing my question, I don't care about legion anymore.

New question: Any plans to adjust the killer pipping system?

  • @popoles

I just had a 4k game where they only got 1 gen done. And I got 1 pip.

The reason for this, was the first person never got saved. They kept hitting my run path traps when they went for the save. Clearly the right choice was to not chase anyone and let them save that person so I can farm more points. Should be a mini game for killers for when they are supposed to stop doign stuff for a bit.

  • @Poweas That's incorporated in survivor sounds in general, being quieter.

  • edited with some bugs.

  • @thatguyinktown

It was a SWF, with a designated distraction. Which is why i was so sad i didn't get rewarded for it.

It was a good game, all around. but only the survivors pipped.

  • this has been discussed. and it's probably not going to happen, due to how toxic that liscensing is atm.

There are some that hold out hope that we can get the mom from the original. Which I think would be a really cool killer. we need an obsessed parent killer. It's a missing trope.

  • I've been pushing this idea for quite a while now. I've even playested it myself with a group of red rank survivors.

In my version each generator only requires one part, but that part is required to start repairs. This was simulated in playtests by finding and looting a chest in game. This padded a few more minutes into the game where the survivors had to move around the map. Which helped with chases. Everyone I've done this with in KYF have enjoyed the games so far.

Also Brand new part would simply replace the need to find one part, making it a strong add-on, that isn't super OP, even if everyone takes one.

  • good luck chasing in corn fields. You absolutely 100% can't hear the chase.

  • As a hag main, the one perk that frustrates me the most is map knowledge.

I'm not sure what survivor gives it, but survivors really cheese me off when they use it.

  • What you want is a perk that works well nromally, and then really shines vs. certain killers.

No one is going to run small game, it doesn't pay off.

Iron will is a solid pick at all time,s and helps vs spirit and nurse.

Calm heart is good vs clown, doctor, and anyone running spies.

Empathy works against Legion and Plague because people like to stay injured in those games to avoid being stuck in a healing circle.

Technician against Pig (she is going to sneak up to where she can normally hear the repairs, if she doesn't hear them, she will likely move to the next generator to save time)

  • @Almo

    Foreshadowing.

    :)

  • Survivor:

    Jeff.

    Jeff

    Just Jeff

    Killer:

    Hag, Clown, Spirit.

Clown might lose his spot to ghostface. Not that I will ever stop playing mr. chuckles. But GF looks good.

  • And then you could let us select from the themes we own maybe. IE: if I own Clown, Pig and Trapper. i can pick which one I want to listen to while I wait for a game.

  • A very simple and easy fix would be this

If there is only 1 survivor, and they go down, both gates are closed, and hatch is closed. Entity should just take that survivor right there.

Game over, new game. We all win. Well, not the survivor, there dead.

But you get what I mean.

  • who datamined?

Some people loaded the latest patch and had ghostface. That's not players ruining any surprise.

    Side note: I appreciate dataminers.

  • I can see Billy mains having christmas lights on their hooks all year long.

  • I really like what I'm seeing with Ghostface.

He looks like the crazy knife wielding maniac I wanted Legion to be.

And I honestly like his look.

  • Pebble is awesome. I find the token to take just a little to long for me to consider taking it every time. (30-25 seconds woulds be great.

    @Alithra

In this specific scenario, the Killer has the upper hand. And when he does, survivors might / will become their toy. The lore of this game is all about feeding hope and taking it away, being a prey is part of it.

He was playing with you and you didn't enjoy it, granted. Maybe it comes from accumulated frustration, or maybe it's because they want to see the animation, who knows?

You do not have the control over what this killer was doing. But you control what you can do. Leaving the game out of frustration will prevent you from seeing and understanding possible outcomes and learning from this experience.

It's a new challenge! Try to find a solution to what seems an impossible problem. Next time it happens... hide, prepare yourself ahead of time to find the hatch, don't run straight to a door, try to mindgame?

Ultimately, the survivor is in a losing scenario in this case, don't play into the killer's plan, fight it until the end, you'd be surprise of what you can learn.

@not_Queen more of this philosophy when handling balancing please.

It's the end game collapse. It's esupposed to be stressful. And for once, it's nice to see a little stress on the survivor side.

  • @Peanits

All of the predator movies take place on earth. I could actually see the entity plucking a predator for it's "ultimate hunt"

ohhh.... Thermal vision, and a shoulder cannon.

And a suicide animation, for when all 4 survivors escape, he explodes. just like that killer player is doing.

  • Now that you have adjusted Legion, are you planning on tweaking him for viability?

  • @peanits I don't feel like that statement is entirely accurate.

    However I appreciate the answer.

  • @Peanits I'm actually aware that you love Pop. I'm also aware that you play at an average skill level. This is not an insult to you. But at higher ranks your chase will take you to far away to kick a gen in time, unless you go right to that specific gen. And even then, it can be hit or miss.

At the VERY LEAST Pop needs to take effect if you kick the generator in time, NOT if you finish the animation in time. I can't count how many times I have ran straight to the furthest gen (cause that's the one my discordance says is being worked on) and kicked the gen, only to find that Pop did not go off, because the animation didn't finish before the timer.

  • well, we get rewarded with more BP for it, so why not?

Also, considering all the troll stuff I deal with now from survivors, if I can trap that last one with me for 4 mins, till they die by the entity, i'm all in.

This will pay back all those other survivors using tank builds vs me in other games. <++(Joke)

  • @Peanits This is where we can tell you are a math guy, with little experience playing

Those are straight line distances. How often, on your maps, can I move in a straight line to a single generator? Not often. Add into it many maps are large, and good survivors run away from all the generator work.

This means Pop only gets used on fast killers, Billy, Nurse, and Spirit. Killers that have the ability to check 3 gens in the time limit. Otherwise this is a wasted perk.

edit: Before anyone says "billy runs in straight lines" Yes, but he can sprint to the turn, wlak around it, and sprint again immediately.

  • @Bongbingbing

    Call it them "Fog Advertisers"

Let's advertise toxic behavior, and d/cing. Sounds like a good business model.

  • @Peanits

    To answer:

Feral Frenzy scales as you strike more target in the same frenzy.

Frenzy will start with its current speeds/duration and deep wounds timer.

Each time you hit a different survivor the deep wounds timer get's reduced by 10%, your frenzy is reset, and given an additional 3 seconds (this is to help you get to the next victim)

After stabbing a second victim stabbing the same victim will no longer end feral frenzy,

After 4 stabs total, your stab now has the ability to put down a bleeding target.

The object is to let him spread dmg around, and get stronger. Which will make him more of a threat in the late game when survivors are closer together. The amount of stabs to transition into putting someone down means the chases should be on the long side for a skilled player game, but still doable. Making him have to stab 2 different people before his perk switches into lethal to people bleeding out, means he is less tunnely, which was the chief complaint.

    Hard counters:

Lithe & Sprint burst: Still counters him hard in this build.

Pallets: they exist and are still his bane if you smack him with it.

    Generator times

edit: Might consider changing his killer instinct to target only people he has stabbed. Keeping track of his victims, and giving people the chance to stealth him in a way that feels like they did somehting rather then he went after someone else. SO this would be a QOL thing for survivors, more then to increase his lethality. (it feels unrewarding to juke legion)

  • @Hoodedfengm1n

Yep, by having a valid point. I honestly don't care.

They've banned me before, they've closed my threads. IDC. i can take my convo's to streamer chats, reddit, ect. You can't kill a conversation, and the longer you let it loop you the worse it gets.

  • probably my fave. was when I smacked Noob3 around on his stream.

But honorable mentions are all my rank 1 games with no perks or add-ons where i 4ked and still got hate in the after chat.

    Sweetest salt ever.
