  • A hold your breath mechanic when inside a locker while injured, press & hold some button in to suppress any noises from your Survivor for a limited time.

A killer with the power to jump high (with cooldowns per jump), could be used to jump over loops, walls at jungle gyms or just use it to reach a platform above on a structure or main building with more than one level to it, could also be used to hit a Survivor if the killers hits one on their way down during a jump.

More interactive mini games when repairing Generators and healing, could probably borrow some from other games.

Survivor exclusive items, only available for the Survivor character you play as and have 1 time uses, the items would be related to the character specifically, like Mikaela's book, Haddie's gadget, Jonah's tablet, etc.

A new mechanic to bring a sacrificed or mori'd Survivor back into the match as a bot, however it would come at some severe cost and risk for doing so.

More features that Survivors are able to do just for the sake of it like wall-leaning, roll, slide or even going prone to name a few examples, they wouldn't serve any purpose objective-wise, however they would allow Survivors to move and express themselves in more fun or immersive ways.

Map hazards, causes debuffs for both Survivors and Killer upon contact.

Maps with rooms that changes layout whenever a generator is completed.

These are just off the top of my head.

    1. I've been here since beta + day 1 of this game's launch and i'm gonna see this game through to the end, because i've been with it for so long, it has come to hold a special place to me that no other game does (with the exception for Payday 2.)
    2. The intense chases are the best kind of adrenaline for me (both when playing as Killer or Survivor), because unlike other games, this one actually gets my pulse rising.
    3. Nicolas Cage's inclusion as well as his perks has immensely increased my enjoyability playing Survivor.
    4. It is objectively THE game with the biggest collection of horror icons altogether and it has accomplished things that no other game have done before, some things people even thought to never happen. Some examples of the things this game has been the first to ever do before any other games are.
    • DBD is the game in which Pinhead (& by extention Hellraiser altogether) got his first ever official video game debut since Hellraiser has existed as a franchise, every precious attempt at a video game for the IP has never seen the light of day or ended in failure, dbd is the first game ever to accomplish this in an official capacity. Also DBD is the first game ever to have Doug Bradley voice Pinhead in a video game altogether.
    • DBD is the first game ever to include the version of Ash from Ash vs. Evil Dead.
    • DBD is the first (and currently only) game to officially have both Silent Hill & Resident Evil together within one game, something that alot people prior never thought would ever actually happen.
    • DBD is the first game ever to let you play as Sadako from Ringu and also debut Yoichi in a video game.
    • DBD is the first (and currently only) game ever to feature Nicolas Cage in a video game.
    • DBD is the game that has potrayed Michael Myers the closest to his movies.
    • DBD has accomplished what the game [Terrordrome: Rise of the Boogeyman] could not officially do, which is bring together various horror icons within one game.
    • If Jason ever gets added to this game, then DBD will be the first game ever to officially accomplish that which games like Mortal Kombat couldn't do, which is bringing together the Mount Rushmore of western horror movie icons together within one game in an official capacity. (Leatherface, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees)
    • If Kayako ever gets added to this game, then DBD will be the first & only game ever to have Japan's 2 biggest horror icons within the same game.

Also the fact that DBD has expanded into franchise territory is probably the most exciting thing it has ever done imo, now anything is possible for how BHVR could broaden the IP as a whole, we've already seen them do so with the Legion comic, an upcoming movie, crossovers into other video games like (PUBG, For Honor & Movie or Die), spin-off games like (Hooked on You & the upcoming games from Supermassive & Midwinter.) Who knows what lies in the future going forward?

Overall for all the cons this game has, they're outweighed by the pros imo and it's just generally fascinating to watch this game grow more and more every year and frankly i'm all here for it.

  • There is no objective answer to that question as like many things in life, it boils down to subjectivity.

For me, while i don't think any of the chase tracks are bad, i would place them in this order from best to worst.

    1. Shape
    2. Executioner
    3. Blight
    4. Artist
    5. Dredge
    6. Nemesis
    7. Twins
    8. Deathslinger
    9. Onryo
    10. Trickster
    11. Knight
    12. Clown
    13. Doctor
    14. Hillbilly
    15. Oni
    16. Cenobite
    17. Singularity
    18. Skull Merchant
    19. Hag
    20. Nurse
    21. Spirit
    22. Demogorgon
    23. Mastermind
    24. Ghostface
    25. Legion

As for best Terror Radius music, i'd place it like this.

    1. Doctor
    2. Artist
    3. Oni
    4. Mastermind
    5. Executioner
    6. Cenobite
    7. Hillbilly
    8. Trickster
    9. Nemesis
    10. Dredge
    11. Blight
    12. Skull Merchant
    13. Knight
    14. Spirit
    15. Ghostface
    16. Onryo
    17. Deathslinger
    18. Clown
    19. Shape
    20. Hag
    21. Demogorgon
    22. Singularity
    23. Twins
    24. Legion
    25. Nurse
  • First heard about DBD from it's Payday 2 crossover back when that was my main game, after which i got to play the beta and ended up pre-ordering the game back in 2016.

Still playing DBD to this day and i'm planning to keep playing until the day this game ends, also i can definitely say that i don't miss old DBD in almost any capacity and quite frankly prefer current dbd much more.

Yeah people will find reasons to complain about anything, but after 7 years of playing DBD's one and only game mode, it's like, what do they expect?

Aside from bhvr's confirmation during the latest AMA on reddit about how they're prototyping and testing new game modes as well as trying new gameplay elements through events, we already have killers that plays very differently from most of the other killers and each of their popularity varies, however one thing is clear.

You'll never have a killer who deviates completely and utterly from the ground rules of the trials as all killers must abide by them in the end one way or another, or at least to a certain extent.

Also there is the problem that since the Xenomorph is faster than any of the other Killers at their base movement speed, it easily can end up being too fast and then you're going to have the issue that killers are going to quickly find a way to effectively steamroll Survivors as they'll be too slow to loop The Xenomorph at all.

  • This is blasphemy against our lord and saviour metal jesus

Doctor: uses his knowledge to tourture the Survivors (and his victims before his arrival into the realm)

Trickster: makes music out of his victims screams... aka he likes tourture just like Doctor

Hag: from a normal human into a cannible... PS her and Bubba might even get along, LOL

Legion: Teenagers... need I say more, LOL

Dredge: darkness incarnate... need I say more

Knight: years of fighting and war does a lot to a person... just ask the military

Skull Merchant: twisted obsession with her dad's manga (my words... I didn't read up on her lore)

Nurse: working in an Insane Asylum for however long (recons aside)... will turn anyone

AKA all of them have points... maybe except Wraith

Nurse's tome didn't really retcon her original lore as it was already very short and was mostly up to interpretation.

It simply just took a different approach than what some people expected from it.

  • Would be interesting to say the least, however i can also guarantee that people are gonna complain that the gameplay isn't the same as they're used to and call Xeno for unfun to play against.

  • Her sound design is the second best in the game, especially the noises she makes, only Dredge surpasses her.

She's dang fun to play as and feels challenging to play against (in a good way)

Her snipes from across the map is very satisfying, especially when you hit a Survivor by accident.

Her chase music is probably the 4th best in the game, only surpassed by Myers, Pyramid Head and Blight imo

Only real con to her is that her addons doesn't feel very creative.

  • Well they did say in the last AMA that they were testing and prototyping new game modes, also that they were trying things out with limited timed events.

Maybe in the future there will some form of 2v8 mode, but who knows.

Personally, i'd love to see dbd bring in the Survivor race mode from Identity V, it looks pretty fun.

a quite popular DBD "leaker" or just someone who posts DBD news/things like that, i think you've heard of dvveet? https://twitter.com/dvveet/status/1687252289533399042 here's the original. not really sure about all of them but the trickster one is 100% true i assume, since it was discussed almost everywhere.

I know of both dbdleaks & dvveet, quite frankly i despise both of them.

They provide 2 things, either concrete evidence of something that's gonna come in the future (Eg: Unreleased banners, chapters, renders, etc. Things that back up their leak.) or they provide baseless claims that they try and disguise as leaks on things that will come in the future or was suppose to come but got scrapped, yet only backs up their ''leak'' with nothing but pure speculations, assumptions or will just straight up say ''Just trust me bro'' to try and back it up. (Just like the map thing you've provided an image of.)

Dvveet especially i genuinely have nothing but scorn and disdain for as they always act like everything they or dataminers says are 100% gospel truth, that they've never been wrong on anything when it comes to leaks, however the moment they're confronted with something they're wrong on, they try and weasel their way out of the situation with more claims about why they were actually right all along, yet can never back it up with anything concrete and will once again resort to pure speculation talk or more ''Just trust me bro''.

Sorry for the rant, but i simply don't buy this claim for a second that there was any maps planned for any of these killers, especially since there's no concrete evidence for any of it and all we got to go off on is just a bunch of nothing.

  • From who on twitter is this from and what is their source?

  • In the literal sense, yes it is a collab because they're collaborating with her to create new outfits for the game even though she's not working for bhvr.

Would it be considered to be on the same level as the collabs with the licensed IPs? I guess that depends on who you ask.

  • None of these, give me Clock Tower: The First Fear.

Also you can have Until Dawn in dbd as soon as you pry it from Sony's cold console exclusive hands.

  • One of the more fun killers to play against.

  • They don't feel pity or remorse for you, neither should you feel any for them as well when you gut them or play as dirty as possible against them.

My issues with the indoor maps are I can't find gens, I can't find survs, I can't find rooms, I can't find my own arse. I'm either role.

Visually they all are stunning, but gameplay wise...

I like them because of their layout, they benefit stealth killers and ambush killers more than outdoor maps does.

Also when it comes to finding things on indoor maps, there's usually some reoccuring patterns throughout all of the indoor maps in dbd, locations are either the same everytime or rooms have hints like flickering lights to indicate Generator nearby.

Either way, repetition is usually the fastest way to learn an indoor map.

I loathe all indoor maps, but dammit I kinda wanna see them do this!

I desperately want more indoor maps.

Compared to outdoor maps, we don't have nearly enough of them and they're the kind of variety that i need when it comes to maps.

  • It's obviously gonna be the Nostromo if we get a map.

  • I genuinely do not want any of the mobile skins in the main game, especially not any of the Survivor ones, however since they said they would bring some in, albeit not a 1:1 version of them, i hope they bring as few as possible into the main game.

Also there is only maybe 1 or 2 good killer skins but that's about it.

  • Whatever it'll end up being, i'm going to keep my expectations on a low and say it's probably not what we expect.

Personally, i would much rather have more cult classic chapters like Pumpkinhead, Maniac Cop, Hatchet, Wishmaster or Phantasm

I definitely don't believe it's going to be.

Yeah, I am surprised he doesn't have a beardless cosmetic since he is usually beardless. I think they will add it soon.

Hopefully soon, because unlike Cage's movie outfits, beardless cage is at least possible as a cosmetic.

  • Sadako cannot be harmed because her appearance through the TV is just a manifestation created by her rage, rather than her actual physical form which died before the first ringu movie took place, also she can pretty much insta-kill anyone by sheer will, with or without the tape depending on if she's alive or not.

Kayako curses you the moment you enter her home, after that you're pretty much screwed no matter what as she will get you regardless of what you do or how far you run, she cannot be harmed either by physical attacks because being an Onryo means you're already dead.

Myers may be pure Evil as well as having a inhumane durability, but he is still a human with a human body in the end.

Ghostface is just a cunning, methodical and meticulous serial killer, he can't really do anything against the supernatural wrath of an Onryo.

  • Forget Young Nic Cage.

    Where's my beardless Nic Cage?!

in Nicky Cage Comment by Smoe
  • I'd rather take all those 4 killers you call ''flops'' any day over another ######### Wesker, Blight or Huntress.

  • If this game's history has taught me something, it's that whenever dbd do anything to any characters, it's never at the same time as when the franchise said character is from has something major happening to it regardless if it would have been good timing or not.

  • Yes, because i don't care about Skull Merchant nearly as much as i hate playing against Wesker.

  • DBD is a multiverse which means there isn't only one singular canon as every character in the dbd universe has their own lore and story that are canon to them and the overall universe of dbd, also getting into dbd's overarching cosmic horror lore is not exactly as straight forward as linear stories are to get into as DBD's lore deals with concepts such as

    • Time working differently and non-linear inside the Entity's realm than it does outside it, so anyone and anything from any time, reality, universe and fiction can exist at the same time and at the same place without problem.
    • What's fictional in one world is real in another and vice versa.
    • Every character that has ever existed is inspired by a previous existing alternative version of themselves and they themselves will have another alternative version who's existence is inspired by them and so on.
    • All artists having a hidden third eye that they unknowingly uses to look into different realities to see things that they bring back to use themselves for things such as Art, Music and other things for entertainment, some able to utilize it more than others.
    • Overlaps/Rifts into the Entity's realm leaking into other terras/worlds throughout the different universes as supernatural hotspots caused by the Entity's presence wherever it has been.

And those are just to name a few examples of the themes and concepts dbd's lore in general deals with.

However as far as your question goes, yes the Legion comic is canon to the playable Legion lore according to Mathieu Cote in his interview with Slasher Radio.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nMOJnW01aQ&t=685s

Very late edit because some reddit thread has linked to this thread in relations to tomes: Tomes are NOT alternative versions of the characters, all multiverse aspects of the lore is solely confined to the npc tomes only. Tome inconsistencies between it and the base lore is sometimes (but not always) just bhvr not having quality control check of their lore to maintain continuity.

In terms of Legion's tome, it very well could be a case of such, however given that the entire story is from Julie's perspective and with her taking focus along with Frank in the cinematic, it's equally possible that the reason for the inconsistency of the cinematic is because it's told from the perspective of an unreliable narrator.

  • It won't be either F13 or IT.

F13 feels too soon from it's lawsuit to be doing a collab with another video game and IT is a Stephen King IP, which means it's straight up not gonna happen.

Whatever the License is gonna be, i know it's not gonna be any of the IPs i've wanted for this game like the movie Phantasm, so i'll just keep my hopes on the low and hope whatever it ends up being got good gameplay.

  • Because i've always despised the curve Billy playstyle with a burning passion, even way back before overheat was a thing.

To me, Curve Billies back in the day is what Wesker is nowadays, overrated and downright annoying to play against.

  • Either Wesker, Blight or Hillbilly.

    Probably Wesker the most.

Danganronpa is not anime/manga based franchise. It's a game franchise. Survivors forced to kill each other in this game. So it's kinda fits for DbD.

It still has an anime artsyle, so i consider it to be within the same group as anime and manga, i think it also has it's own anime show or something.

However as i said before, i personally just don't believe it's horror or dark fantasy heavy enough to fit dbd.

I think anything is possible now for DbD. After Trickster, i admitted this fact. If he is fitting in DbD, probably anything can.

I believe that when it comes to anime or manga related IPs, it should only be the IPs that are within the horror or dark fantasy genre that should be added into the game. If an anime or manga IP isn't horror or dark fantasy heavy enough, they most of the time just feels (for a lack of a better word) too off to be in dbd.

It would've been a lot easier if BHVR waited until the Hellraiser lawsuit was over before getting the license

We might not have been able to get the license at all then, iirc bhvr spent some years on getting the license in the first place and who knows if that oppotunity would have lasted after the rights for the first movie within the US was reverted back to Clive Barker.

I wouldn't say it's not possible, but it may require juggling multiple license deals and that may price it out of the typical model. Ultimately depends on how much these movie license holders want for them.

Mandy for example is owned by RLJE Films, who distribute a load of niche horror, including other Nick Cage films like Color out of Space, Prisoners of the Ghostland and Sympathy for the Devil. All films that definitely match the DBD vibe.

If they ever got a deal with them, something similar to the Crypt TV deal they had, then it could easily include new skins for Nick.

Thing is, it is legally impossible for the Nic Cage Survivor to have it, because the contract is solely between bhvr and Nic Cage, they cannot just add another third party into the contract all of the sudden.

If they ever make a deal with any of the companies that owns the outfits, those outfits are not gonna go to the Nic Cage Survivor simply because they contractually cannot because once again, the contract bhvr has is with Nic Cage only. Same reason why you don't see Young Ash coming into the game as a skin for the Ash we have in-game already, the license isn't covered by it and as long as it isn't covered by it, it cannot legally happen.

If we ever were to get any of cage's movie outfits, the more realistic outcome would be as it's own seperate character that might also have Cage's likeness to it as well, same case as well for Young Ash should we ever get him.

    @BarnesFlam said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3494031#Comment_3494031

I think devs confirmed that will never be outfits from his roles, instead it will always be outfits he wears during movies premieres.

What Mathiue Cote said during his interview with Slasher Radio is that they cannot do any of Nic Cage's movie outfits because he does not own those, instead they will only do original outfits from Nic Cage's own wardrope, which yes includes also what he wears during movie premieres and more.

  • If license restrictions didn't exist: all of his movie outfits

Realistically however: None of them because the license is for Nic Cage and his own clothing only, every movie outfit he's ever worn is owned by other companies and isn't possible to include.

Yeah certainly, reverting the watch changes and/or giving her more looping tools would help but it still leaves the issue that right now she feels overly punishing at lower levels. Her killer agency is also still an issue for me but that seems like an afterthought just now.

I don't think the watch changes should be reverted, if anything the original watch should be made basekit and keep the current iteration of the addon, just like how they did with demogorgon's shred addon.

However i don't think she needs to be too chase focused with her power and addons since she is meant to be more of a hit and run killer than a chase oriented one.

Yeah caught some of his stream last night, good to see he's enjoying her still but I think even he knows she's a bit busted atm against survivors who don't know how to play against her well. I'm interested to see how his thoughts change over the coming weeks when experienced players learn her counter.

I think with a few minor adjustments to balance her out a bit, she could probably do well against experienced players.

  • I remember playing last time, wasn't nearly as good as The Howling Ground event which Summer BBQ was clearly just a rehash of.

Assuming you mean One Pump? He played her during the PTB and got a bunch of condems because there's zero SBMM and nobody knew the counter play. He started his stream last night post the dev update ahead of today and was trashing the further changes for removing more gameplay elements from her playstyle and further dumbing her down.

Willie seems to like the changes judging by his reaction to playing her in his stream today though.
