Definitely not Wraith.

Time to do what I always do and lend you a veneer of credibility.
What the hell are you talking about? All it's going to show is that solo's need some form of basekit coordination, and that 3-4 person SWF teams just do gens so quickly that they have time to mess around and bully killers.
Something you cannot do if killers are OP.
In addition, you aren't mentioning second-chance perks, Exhaustion perks (fun fact, skill can replace exhaustion but it can't replace slowdown), or keys and medkits. Very telling, that, isn't it? I wonder what possible reason you could have for ignoring those?
I am saying killers are OP because they can increase their MMR much faster than that of survivor and killers are almost always winning. If MMR is working correctly, I'm still seeing killers win too much when I play survivor.
I wish you can compare but nothing compares to massive slowdown. The inverse would be a speed-up, which survivor doesn't have that luxury. Exhaustion is only one time per chase, Wraith can spam a long uncounterable lunge greater than dead hard. A survivor is paralyzed to keep DS and keys still requires doing most of the objective.
-
Nope. My last match was against a Twins that did nothing but slug the entire team at 4 gens. It was nowhere close to balanced gameplay. MMR isn't working at all.
-
Not enough survivors.

This is the most non-Sluzzy thing Sluzzy has ever said.
I've tried killer with this new MMR and we desperately need old Nurse and Billy back. Nothing can win.
-
Too sweaty. I don't see how any long-term killer will stick around facing non-stop genrush teams, all being cocky and teabagging. MMR has ruined the game for killers.
-
Yes, Its horrible and should be cancelled.

Take your troll crap somewhere else lol
I'm serious. Killers are OP, I've played enough solo to know. Survivors need a buff. Add in more pallets if it is solo q, something to make it more bearable. Less gen repair time.
-
Only if it shows when its a killer with all slowgen perks.
Only a SWF can climb MMR so there is no way to avoid them if you are a killer main. Killers are way too OP.

holy #########, a Sluzzy post that isn't "killer OP survivor oppressed" with some variation but actually calling out a real issue, now there's something you don't see every day
I've been trying to enjoy Pinhead and it has not been a pretty sight.
-
At high MMR where survivors genrush, there is no way to hook everyone 12 times. Survivors are also abusing stretched resolutions so its impossible to mindgame so it takes too long to catch someone. Something has to be done when all survivors are paired together to make the objective more difficult so killers don't feel so pressured.
-
Not every killer should be designed to handle a SWF sweaty team. That is not a fun way to play. Trapper doesn't need buffed because he ends looping instantly and during a chase there is no counterplay. More traps would be horrendous.
-
A killer that teleports and uses chains so you can't move is not weak.

2 Words play killer ;)
But that doesn't fix survivor.

@glitchboi said:
Sluzzy, what are your thoughts on the Nurse? Is she too OP and oppressive? Does she need a nerf? Does her high skill floor justify her power?
Maybe. Nurse is interesting because you don't see her very often. You'll see 20 Blights before you see a single Nurse. She is oppressive with the killer meta, only a 4 man SWF can keep her in check.
But why play Nurse when Wraith is practically uncounterable and at it takes no time to learn him. I don't like being hit from a mile away. At least Nurse had to actually "predict".
-
@danielmaster87 said:
Yes, BBQ, which is literally just information and has a hook prerequisite btw, is so oppressive!
And then Blight is instantly there.

Omg, that caused me to spill my drink.
Hello!
-
Who has time to do 5 gens....and find 5 hard to find totems?
On Lery's map there is no way.
-
Camping is only part of the problem. His 1-shot ability is way too easy to use. No cooldown after destroying a pallet, he can always insta-down someone before reaching another pallet. He was buffed too much.
-
Yes, killers win too easily. Killers won't admit they can't win as survivor 100 times in a row. I've never seen it.
A survivor is lucky to win 5 times in a row.
-
I want to know who made tinkerer work with ruin.

What do you think would be a good nerf to Wraith? I’m curious.
If they would revert his buffs I would be happy. Nothing over the top. Old Wraith was at least mostly fair to verse.
-
Very desperately, there is so much about Wraith that needs nerfing
-
Usually there is not enough time to do all that. On some maps they need to be easier to see.
-
I hope the new data allows them to have a hard look at some of the killers and perks.
If a new Wraith is suddenly playing against some teams with way more experience, it should be a big red flag.
-
Took way too long for them to look at Stridor. That's too many years.

It's almost like killers have to run gen regression due to the inability to stop the game from progressing at a rate that is out of their control. It's why "tournament" competitive killers run 4 gen regression perks and play the way they do as well.
Perks on both sides can sometimes carry someone a little bit further than they should, but gen regression perks will never be the defining factor as to why a killer wins or not. All gen regression perks are either not that strong, or simply have to be earned, otherwise they can be destroyed, or even ignored.
You can make similar arguments for Exhaustion perks. Zero effort required, giving you a free out to mistakes or avoiding a chase ever starting to freely get to a strong loop. They're effectively delaying the game by a massive amount relative to the time your average game takes. 4 survivors can have it, with multiple uses per match. That's fair, but a killer earning Pop, or potentially having 2 perks, is not? Fundamentally gen speeds need to be addressed, either directly or indirectly, such as going after Exhaustion perks, map size, general time wasters (indoor maps, breakable walls) before I'll ever agree gen regression is both OP, or carries bad killers. Plain, utter ignorance.
Exhaustion perks are not as game changing as the killer meta. They don't make the game instantly much harder, but helps only slightly in the moment. Exhaustion perks are like Brutal Strength or Enduring, a little time saving during the chase. Many of the killers are not hiindered at all by it. Lithe requires a vault, but what if you don't get to a vault in time? Balanced Landing was nerfed so it has no use unless there is a long drop. Killer Meta perks are guaranteed use. Automatically makes the game instantly way easier for the killer.
How is it fair for a Blight to use BBQ, Ruin, Tinkerer, and Undying against an average team? Every time I see it, "well, here comes another bloodbath".
-
They will be fighting each other. If it works properly, a solo survivor should never see a Blight with his build. No more easy games.

Ontop of that gen speeds are ridiculous and you can't even think about what you're gonna do next, that objective is trash too and needs an update. I'm pretty sure everyone would cartwheel if they gave us anything other than gens to do.
In most matches, and I mean really most matches, the current objective cannot be done. Imagine the killrates if survivors had to do 5 gens, totems, save survivors, and then yet another new objective. Killer only has to do one objective and it is usually an easy one.

SWF fix gen in 3 min.
Surviors is so Balance.
We need AI killers.
This is an old video, this is before Wraith's insane buff.
The nurse didn't even try and the Wraith left 2 people working on a gen. A red rank killer never plays like that.

Not really, what makes a killer tournament worthy is:
Pick at least an A tier killer (spirit, nurse, hag for best results),
Having decent knowledge on the game, including mindgames, tracking perks, knowing maps with spawns,
Choosing perks optimally (these you've already mentioned),
And finally decision making.
Certain perks can help with decision making (information/tracking perks) they don't just substitute it in all scenarios (which gens to pressure, when to give up chase ect.).
This is why your wrong, these perks can help someone if theyre mediocre compete against competent survivors. But at top levels (not just tournament standards) survivors have the upper hand.
You forgot Blight and Huntress. All these killers are accessible by anyone. My point is, it is not so easy to do that on the survivor side. Skill certainly helps but it is not the deciding factor, the weakness of the killer and how good all four are. Is a coordinated genrush happening or playing the game normally as in taking the time to actually look in chests? It's much easier to be an unstoppable Blight with these perks than it is to be a sweaty SWF. Solo loses because it is so OP.

Not necessarily, while the killer meta definitely makes life A LOT harder for Solo Q's it doesnt make them a tourney killer
A Blight with 4 slow downs vs a solo q is the equivalent of a SWF going against a casual killer
This game only works when people "role play" it, once one side breaks out of character and plays to win it becomes unbalanced and stale
Every match should be a fair chance. A Blight with those perks are a default win against solos and that makes them too overpowered.
-
@Shroompy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2463752#Comment_2463752
When talking about the highest level, yes it does. While not many people even play at that level, survivors without a doubt have the upperhand
This is shown in tournaments, and usually survivors have restrictions and they still win the majority of the time.
You proved the killer meta is overpowered. Only a tournament SWF can have a chance to beat it. The killer meta makes anyone a tournament killer. That's bad balance.
-
@Shroompy said:
I agree to a degree that it promotes unhealthy gameplay, but its not exclusive to killers. Both sides have metas that are extemely stale and unfun to go against
We should be able to agree that the survivor meta doesn't completely change the game in the survivor favor.
-
To make that fair, there must be 5 survivors. And gen speeds would have to be drastically less.
-
You never can prove killers are hacking. They come straight to you for no reason? They got lucky or was skilled is the answer I always get.

Wraith is OP and needs a nerf, right? Do you think he should be 4.4m/s?
I would rather his buffs be reverted.
He needs slowed way down.
-
His buffs broke him. Literally broken.
-
Survivor perks are trash when Dead Hard is complained about. A perk that hardly works, and it is so annoying that it is so easily nullified by simply waiting an extra second to breath down the survivors neck. I wish you could wait 1 sec to totally counter a killer perk.
It does not help at all with Wraith and Blight. Wraith swings through Dead Hard his lunge is so far! It really needs buffing.
-
It is not really a DBD problem. It happens in every game.
For every game where survivors are bullying a new killer, in another match an experienced killer is bullying new survivors.

By doing gens, shocker. He can't be in 2 places at once, he cannot stop 2 gens from opposite sides being done. Why nerf good perks when most perks for both sides are already useless? I don't want good perks made bad, I want bad perks made good. Everyone wants bad perks made good.
A Blight won't let you do gens. Tinkerer is so strong it is actually unfair. You can have a gen almost done and he shows up from nowhere and then Ruin takes it all away.
-
I've seen enough of Blight. He is too OP. With those perks it is a free win and that's why people are complaining now. If those perks are nerfed, there would be more variety.
When do you ever win against a Tinkerer/Ruin Blight? Never unless the Blight totally makes a lot of mistakes.
-
No, survivor is. Try playing against unpredictable and uncounterable hitboxes, aura perks, all slowdown perks, watching your team on their belly at 5 gens. That is almost every match too. Please don't tell me killer isn't good to play. Killer needs to be much harder than what it is.
-
Killers are realizing how OP it is so they are using it more and survivors are realizing gens simply can't get done with a tinkerer Blight.
-
Me too, it is either Huntress with uncounterable hatchets or Blight loaded with gen stopper perks. And nothing is being done about it. We need new devs.
@NomiNomad said:

Slowdown stacking won't be addressed because it's clear from what they've said that they value player agency.
If they ever made some sort of competitive queue I can see them doing that, but as what the game is now, it will never happen.
Player agency only for killers.
-
@stikyard said:
Hatch should favor Survivors, that's the whole point of hatch, to escape.
That's true but it doesn't currently favor survivor. If killer knows where it is, which is usually true, then there is no escaping it. Killer easily slugs the third to prevent the fourth from using it. Or he can always get there before they are sacrificed.
To make it fair, the killer should have to find a key to lock it. A quick stomp is not fair when the chances of finding a key is almost zero.

Borrowed time and Decisive Strike Reward the survivors for killers doing the objetive (killing), we can use that poor argument for both sides.
There's a huge difference, borrowed time is countered by not tunneling or camping and DS punishes survivor to actually keep it. There's no counter at all to tinkerer, the killer gets a huge blessing for survivor doing what they supposed to do.

It's a badly designed perk, one that rewards killer for survivor simply doing the objective. And it actually has no cooldown of all perks.
It's broken and unfair. You feel cheated against it every time.
