The moment I hear her lullaby, my care goes out the window. There is no outplaying a huntress, unless it is a bad one.
-
Because killers are overtuned. If it is way easier to win as killer, then something is wrong. The perks are way too strong, you have perks that remove objective progress, prevent it, aura perks, wallhack addons, and several killers with no counterplay. Some killers are too easy to win as. I'm still scratching my head why Wraith was overbuffed. All you have to do is play survivor at red ranks to know it is unfair.
Survivors also complain because killers are always buffed and survivors are nerfed.
-
Something should be done with how easy it is for some killers to wipe the floor with 5 gens still up. A killer should never become so powerful with perks that gens can't be done.
-
Killers have the most control in the match so there is tendency to blame the killer for the outcome. Killers can use OP killers and perks and the survivor has no way to stop it. Camping and tunneling can't be prevented either.
-
I don't think debris is a good thing to add but there is no question the hatch favors killers, especially with EGC. Keys should be something that spawns in every trial to give survivors a chance to always escape.
-
Rock bottom is a nice way to put it.

Well, the difference here is that trickster is actually terrible. You can't play windows or pallets like you can with slinger, and the lullaby is frankly unnecessary.
There should be balance so there is opportunity for both sides to win. Trickster is another legion, but with 60 knifes that are uncounterable in a deadzone.
-
Everyone thought deathslinger was bad too. Not every killer is supposed to be a very easy guaranteed 4K, like Blight and Spirit, to name a few.

Getting hit first doesn't make a match unwinable to warrant DCing.
Also if DBD is such a casual game, stop whining about game balance and embrace DBD as "casual horror game" where survivors die each game just like they do in horror movies.
Laurie didn't die. Her decisive strike worked when she wanted it. Not on Michael's terms.
-
I'm pretty sure more are playing the game right now because they are not imprisoned in a miserable and unwinnable match. This is not a competitive game because there is certainly no balance.
-
Because killers have too much power.
Next patch: Another killer buff.
I regret to spill the very bad news, there is no hope for survivors. Survivors will continue to be nerfed as long as they allow it.
-
Then there should be more survivors. Zombies doing the job for the killer is not exactly fair.
-
The majority is wanting the game balanced for average players which is a positive sign. But it is FAR from that. Average survivors are hardly ever seeing a win.

Undying and Ruin have both been nerfed and survivors complained about both those perks.
You need to get your memory checked.
Ruin was massively buffed.
Undying was barely nerfed but also buffed.
-
Guess what happens when survivors uses a perk that's killers claim is unfun? It gets nerfed.
What happens when killers use a perk(s) that not only is unfun but is also totally wins the game for them?
Answer:. Buff another killer.
I have to wonder when will survivors say this is enough.

,,Buff DS so it doesnt punish for playing the game"
You do know, the perk only punishes the KILLER for playing the game? Especially before the nerf?
What do you think Ruin and Tinkerer do? Tinkerer punishes for trying to work on the objective.

Yet you never say how, you only say the general, buff this, nerf that but never how which is the actual important feedback.
Tinkerer: Rework it
BBQ: Make it a HEX perk (wrote a post on this one)
Buff Counterforce so it shows all totems.
Fix hitboxes.
Fix maps so killers don't have such quick ez downs.
Buff distortion so it can actually counter aura perks so the game is fair.
Buff DS so it doesn't punish for playing the game.
Buff toolboxes so they are a useable item.
Nerf Ruin a lot. Nothing specific but nerf it.

How about making proper feedback post to adress the issues solo survivors have every now and then insted of these useless "devs are only nerfing survivors 5 years straight" posts ?
Or do you expecting to make a positivie impact by only throwing rants out here. Those certainly don't help anything besides you venting which you seem to enjoy doing.
I have positive feedback all the time. I'm always saying to buff survivor perks, nerf killer perks, and fix the deadzones. Add in more pallets. Fix maps so ranged killers don't have a free win. Fix hitboxes.
But they have nerfed survivors non-stop 5 years in a row. And the dev update is all about "buffing another killer". It's not a game for survivors.

Can you stop throwing statistics around please, they're misleading and should not be sole reason behind balancing. They say nurse is the weakest killer in DBD with 40% kill rate meaning she needs serious buffs to compete with other killers yet I never saw you to ask for massive nurse buffs.
Stats are the only way to know if something is overpowered or not and killers are clearly overpowered. Killrates are close to 3K per match and that is with the hatch. Look if you removed hatch what it would be. The game is now a murder simulator. And every killer buff is making it worse.
-
It is the only way to -maybe- win as survivor. To be on a perfect genrush team, with the only good survivor item left in the game. Ask devs to re-buff survivors and nerf killer perks. The gates are never opened.
-
Survivors are leaving.
-
When one side is nerfed non-stop for 5 years in a row, it gets very imbalanced. It is now imbalanced and survivors need a lot of buffs. Killers win too much and everyone knows it but pure killer mains and devs.
-
Definitely imbalanced. No counterplay to his lunge unless you are at one of the few pallets on the map. No cooldown. Bodyblocks windows for a free hit. His bell is no longer a sign he is going to stealth but to get a huge uncounterable lunge.

No. Earn them. If you can't, back to the lobby you go. I came to play the game and kill you, not give you a funhouse ride. Screw up and you get a one-way trip back to brown town.
The game is completely rigged against survivors, how can you control whether you get a lot of points? I bet you have never played survivor.
You are lucky your hand is held for a guaranteed win.
-
I'm seeing every killer tryharding. It's ultra rare to see survivors get more than 10K during the event while killers get an astonishing 30K for playing the powerful role. Using powerful hex totems because they know survivors having to do more than 1 objective puts the game hugely in their favor.
-
Game is killer sided, event is killer sided.
It's horrendous that on every possible level the game is overwhelmingly killer sided.
Even the cakes hardly show up in survivor bloodwebs but an abundant supply in killers.

Cuts both ways. If survivors just predrop pallets, do gens and leave in 5 minutes the killer gets basically nothing.
Only a bad killer will let that happen. Killers have everything to be sure they get most of the points.
-
With 4 cakes, got camped and slugged and only made 7K because of slugging and camping. The devs have put too much power in killers. There is no way to get points unless the killer cooperates.
-
Because she automatically puts the one player at a huge advantage over the 4 others. Stridor is like using Tinkerer on Blight.

Without the buildings, all the pallets are unsafe. If you get caught in the street with a killer like Huntress you can't go anywhere. Some times hardly any pallets spawn in the big building and with the walls boarded up.

The killer player has to play better than the survivors, plain and simple. If the survivors can't loop, or don't do gens, it isn't the killer's fault. The flow of DBD is all based on how well the survivors play. If they all can loop, and sit on gens, they usually win. If they run around and loot chests, and go down instantly in chase, or crouch around, the killer will have an easy game, especially if the killer player is actually good or decent at the game. DBD is far more rewarding to competent, efficient survivor players than it is toward competent, efficient killer players. I honestly have no issue with playing survivor outside of what I mentioned. If I mess up at a loop, it is my fault. If gens don't get done, it's our fault as the survivors.
You seem to be playing a different game, or are very bias toward the survivor role imo. Killer players get told to get better all the time so idk why you think they don't. In the end, like I said, the flow of the game is decided by the survivors. If they play efficiently, there is little even a good killer player can do on most of the killers. There is only so much you can do vs 4 people that know what to do, and when to do it as 1 person. If the survivors play bad, or worse than the killer, the killer will dominate them. This is pretty much the widely accepted truth of the game by every player that understands the game from a high level.
It is up to the players to improve for the solo survivor experience to improve. The devs have done enough hand holding already imo. The resources for people to improve on survivor are there in abundance, and it is all free. Until then, solo survivor for decent competent players will continue to be terrible and will drive most to just SWF. Stop blaming the killer role because it has nothing to do with the killer outside of Spirit. The killer doesn't control how well people play survivor. Only the survivor player controls that.
That's not what I see. I see matches totally controlled by the killer regardless of the survivors. It doesn't have to be Spirit, it can be a Huntress. Or a Blight. Or a Leatherface. The good killers in rank 1 are unstoppable, totally unless it is a top SWF and that leaves everyone else out. Too much buffing for killers, especially perks and maps are becoming very killer sided. I remember the Autohaven maps being a fair chance to win, now it is a free win for killer. Leatherface simply moves around the map instantly downing everyone due to no pallets.
If chests are in the game, why is it not balanced so there is enough time to loot them? With a fast killer, there is no time to loot or find totems so it turns into a win for killer. It shouldn't be balanced for a coordinated genrush ignoring chests and everything else in the game.
Still think too much is expected from the 4. They have to play perfectly, loop perfectly while it is easier for killer to not worry about those things.
-
That is true, and killers won't admit how easy killer is. Survivors nerfed non-stop. Killer perks are way stronger than survivor perks. Look how situational survivor perks are compared to BBQ, Ruin, Tinkerer, to name a few. So many deadzones in maps.
Yes, it is too easy to counter survivor perks while killer perks require practically losing the game to counter.

No amount of changes in the world can fix Solo Q when you have Blendettes who Self-Care in a corner against a Plague. I don't need a god looper teammate I just need people who know the simplest of things.
Not all losses are simply due to Blendettes, but killer being too overwhelming. Killers can hook someone, use BBQ and down two more almost instantly. For example I played against a doctor yesterday that hooked someone, he then downed someone going for the save and his static blast showed where I was and now there's 3 not doing the objective with Ruin. Actually now the 4th person has to go for a save. 5 gens still up.
-
@Gwinty said:
Survivors should get a secondary objective. Totems are not a bad thing but something that should be expanded on beyond simple pressing M1 for X seconds. This would help the game and make it better.
Maybe they should also try out different stuff to thrown in the Killers path when it hunts you. Like oil that slows the Killer down or something like that beside pallets. This could make loops stronger against certain Killers or weaker against others so that survivors need to think more during the chase.
Also just for the notes: I think survivor plays a lot easier than Killer. My obejctive is much more doable and I only need to think about one opponent. Juggeling 4 opponens makes it thougher.
Killers need a second objective too to make that fair. Right now killers only have one objective and their perks make it that much easier. That's not right. Not at all.
You are asking for survivors to think more, but killers only hold W and tap M1 or M2.

@Axx said:
The solo survivor experience is bad because of other survivor players. If 4 competent solo players magically get into a lobby together, the game is usually a cake walk unless the killer is a Spirit, or good Nurse. If more players took the time to improve via learning to loop, not 3 gen, and all the other things competent efficient survivor players do, solo survivor would be much better.
I just played a game where my teammate went down in 5 seconds vs a Clown and got put into the basement. Then teammate number two proceeded to go into a locker and get grabbed and then taken to the basement where the other teammate was. This was within the span of the first minute of the match pretty much. Is that the killer and his "oppressive perks" fault? Or was it the fault of my teammates not playing well?
People on both sides, but especially survivor mains, need to learn to play better. This game is highly survivor sided once you learn how to loop and do gens efficiently. It isn't the dev's fault solo survivor is unpleasant. It's on the players. If I, or any competent survivor player can learn how to loop and so on, I'm sure most players would be able to learn how to as well. I'm not a rocket scientist and it isn't super hard to learn.
Honestly, the only complaints I have as a solo survivor is facing Spirit and my teammates. Other than those two things, survivor is chill. Especially whenever I get competent teammates. Then the game is a breeze. Also for the tunneling. It is apart of the game. You win some, you lose some. I even tunnel people when I feel like I need to when I play killer. You have to remember, this is a pvp game, and the killer's goal is to kill you. If you can't hack dying in a pvp game, you should find a pve game to play instead I guess.
I've played together with 4 what seemed to be really good solos (they had a lot of hours) but it was still a 4K.
What is extremely wrong here is, too much is expected from the 4. It is always "survivor needs to play better"..."survivor needs to learn how to play". Why is it not required for killer to play better? When killers lose, it is always "survivor is OP".
A misconception that survivor is chill because you have to work on gens and the killer is always moving but that doesn't mean the survivor is winning. More times than not, the killer is forcing everyone off of gens because you have to save someone, look for totems, etc. Then the perks win the game because there is absolutely no time to look for totems if the killer is halfway decent. Killer perks are oppressive.
Because it is a PVP game doesn't mean the one is almost guaranteed to win. There needs to be balance and right now killers win way too much and even make more points.

One is a perk that causes a generator to regress while a hex totem is up and the other is a perk that gives the killer the undetectable status effect.
Both reward you massively for simply playing the game and winning the game for you. You even get a notification when the objective is almost done so you can interrupt it guaranteeing your victory. That's a free win card.
Decisive Strike should have never been nerfed, it should have been buffed.

DS is a get off the shoulder free card. it's not a heal up and do a gen for free card. So much pressure is taken off everytime someone gets off the shoulder.
What is Ruin and Tinkerer? I'm sure you don't want to talk about that.
-
Killers got what they wanted. An extremely nerfed decisive strike that is no longer decisive, punishes for playing the game. Now they tunnel.
The survivor role is borderline completely unplayable.

While I do disagree with Trapper being that strong and my overall distrust of kill rates. But, I have an idea I'd like you to hear. Trapper changes, because in my opinion he needs buffs since competent survivors can crush him
1.Brown Bag base kit
2.Starts with 2 traps
3.Remaining traps spawn in the middle
4.Base 7 traps regardless
5.Traps now have a set escape time 20 seconds with 15 from another survivor
(In short total removal of RNG from his kit)
6.Add-on rework from mentioned changes
While you definitely made the good point a Trap can shutdown a loop. These traps can simply be disarmed or even walked around in some instances. And it simply takes him too long to set up with two traps often on the other side of the map which killer is forced to hinder themselves to use their power that can be disarmed. But, that is what I believe. So, what do you think?
Trapper is really a lot different from the other killers. Naturally you won't get 12 hooks against the best survivors because as you said a couple of gens are done after he has set his traps. How many times have you played against a trapper where everything goes south at the end? He simply shouldn't be balanced like Hillbilly for example, where you are instantly powerful. Starting with so many traps is an unfair advantage, he can too quickly set a part of the map as totally impassable and then down someone. Having that much power with so many gens still up is too much. I already find Trapper very oppressive, a good one that traps all the loops because it means there is no way to defend against being caught. You are caught as there is no way to loop.
They already buffed him so it is much harder to escape and I believe they darkened his trap a lot this last patch? Don't you think that is enough now?
Please not another Wraith! He requires a bag for a reason. Having 2-3 traps on hand with honing stone and iridescent traps would be so ridiculously OP.
I said this before, if you love using 2-3 traps, why not simply use the addon? They are in every bloodweb so you can actually use one every match if you wanted to. There is a common addon for being able to carry 2 traps.
-
Excuse me? Trapper killrates are very impressive. If you are not getting kills it means you are not playing him correctly.
Survivors have been nerfed tremendously since he was released and he has actually had several buffs.
The face of the game is not supposed to be a guaranteed 4K in every match, that is not balance at all.

Yep. I've all but given up on even going for the hatch when I'm the last survivor anymore. This literally happens to me every time this situation happens. When you're having to run the killer, or even just the killer roaming the map, they most likely are going to find the hatch before you and as soon as that third survivor is hooked its off to the hatch to make sure it closes the very moment it opens. At the very least the killer should not even be able to interact with it, or just not even see its spawn location until it does open. The fact they can hook the 3rd and basically control the hatch if they know where it is when they die is beyond ridiculous.
That is a really good point, it is not fair for the killer to see the hatch until after it is opened. Killers roam around the map way more than survivors and they almost always know where the hatch is when it is spawn. I've been keeping mental notes and at least 9 out of 10 times they beeline to the hatch to close it. If they don't, they slug. This why I think keys should always spawn to at least give a chance to escape.

Distortion counters it as well as Sole Survivor when it's at max. Off the Record counters it. Heck even getting into a locker or ducking behind a gen can counter it.
That would only be fair if BBQ had 3 tokens.

You play sweaty slugfest Nurse. You're one to talk. Why not play addonless Trapper or Myers to give survivors an easier time?
You can win almost as much with those two. Myers is unbelievably strong and if you catch someone in the basement with trapper, your victory is sealed in the bag.
While Nurse has been nerfed tremendously, all the other killers have been massively buffed. It is not my fault survivors are weak when I play nurse. There is no stealth, the fog is non-existent.
