Nothing is worse than solo survivor at high MMR. At least with killer you have a chance of getting a kill or two, which btw is a fair match. As a survivor, you are almost guaranteed to get tunneled, camped, slugged, or just completely decimated. How is that fun?
Streamers need to realize they aren't supposed to 4K every match. And because killers are soooooo overpowered and powerful, the only way survivors can win is play in an unfun way and that is to genrush their brains out.
-
That's the opposite of what I ever see. Often there is a tile with no pallets at all. Autohavens is especially notorious in lacking pallets.
-
I remember that. MoM was nerfed faster than any perk.
And MoM had a huge downside of showing your aura for the remainder of the match.
What is the downside to Undying? None
-
He will be fine. All they are doing is removing his quickscope which really has no counterplay.
-
I don't know how easy you want it. Killers already win a majority of matches. Even when they showed stats for SWF, killers still won an overwhelming majority. What do you want, killrates to be 100%?
-
The fact that killers do have the capacity to equip themselves for a SWF beforehand is a bit more proof that killers are extremely overpowered and need some nerfs.
As others have alluded to, killers only want very easy "fun" games such as solo Q so they can slug them all and then hook them all only once for an easy 4K.

I hate leatherface, like really really hate leatherface. But not because he's a strong killer, I hate him because of how good he is at securing kills. You literally cannot save someone that leatherface is camping. Otzdarva recently did an experiment where he used corrupt intervention, deadlock, no way out, ans another perks that I can't remember right now on Leatherface and as soon as he downed a survivor he would camp them until they died. He won 6 games in a row before there was a game where 2 survivors escaped.
Thanks for pointing that out. He is definitely not balanced. You shouldn't be able to win a game every time by not using your mouse or keyboard.

I don’t think this is the issue. Solo queue just needs many quality of life improvements.
Too much is expected from the survivor side. If a team has to be perfectly coordinated, then something is wrong.
Randoms would never coordinate well with one another anyway.
-
i'm about done too. Killers need a nerf.

The healing is broken and not leaving scratch marks or auras is crazy. Being able to have 4 of these on the map and rebless them causes them to be overpowered. If you play against a swf your own level then they know what they're doing, 3 rushing gens while 1 loops you. The last thing I need is to know that it'll be harder to find survivors or track them, and that I can't rely on spreading damage to apply pressure, such as legion does.
Hypothetically, I go into a frenzy and hit 1 survivor then hit another and get pallet stunned then Im doing decent. I have 2 people injured, 1 needs to mend and get help to heal or take a while due to selfcare, and Im chasing the other one. With this, the one person mends as usual but they can heal by themselves and insanely quickly due to the totems. Lets say Im lucky/good at the game and at the same time I get the down and hook their friend. BBQ doesnt activate due to totems, 2 gens pop and bitter murmer doesn't activate. I chase someone, someone gets the unhook, instaheal, 3 people on gens while Im chasing this other survivor. Rinse and repeat. You cannot apply decent pressure while spreading damage and cannot leave people alone to waste time healing eachother. The result will be facecamping or tunneling, in an attempt to get 1 person to die and gain/regain control over the match.. However; Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, etc. Not to mention people will be running genrushing builds along side this. People will most likely make their toolbox last as long as possible and repair as quickly as possible, only to hop into a locker for 12 seconds and finish the next gen in no time.
Do you see the issue now? It's hard enough to apply pressure, but to go out of your way and break chase or not hunt survivors to destroy a totem, which will be blessed in the next 30 seconds.
Differences between Hexes and Boons
Hex; Semi-Powerful but must be earned to get them, such as getting hooks, hits, and tokens. These are a 1 time use and they are extremely easy to find, having dedicated spots to spawn and always spawn in a pentagon pattern. Survivors have perks to find these totems with ease. Survivors can and will spawn beside a hex totem (has happened to me several times). Usually gets little value out of them due to long build up, takes up one perk slot, and can/will be broken by survivors in the first 5 minutes of the match. I can and will go through every reason why all hex perks are absolute garbage if I must.
Boon; Powerful and do not have to be earned. Able to place it on any totem, even hexes, meaning the killer won't spawn beside it. Infinite to use, not having to waist another perk slot to be able to do so (looking at Undying which is hot garbage). Negates several of the killer's perks and other tools to find survivors and apply pressure. Guaranteed value since it will not waste a perk slot since it can't be gotten rid of permanently.
Why is healing and hiding the auras crazy? It's really about time they released a perk that finally counters auras a little bit. Aura perks are OP. It's basically a wallhack where the killer has the upper hand.
The longer the Killer HEX stays active the more it is winning the killer the match. Ruin is the big one. Devour Hope suddenly causes everyone to stop doing the objective, in a panic, now the killer has free NOED for simply doing the objective. Survivor must stop doing theirs.
They'll have to be able to rebless and they need to be better than Self-Care or why not just use Self-Care so you know the killer can't disable it?
For Boons to work, survivor must avoid the objective to find a totem to activate it. This can take substantial time giving killer a huge advantage already especially against a rusher. Killer can hear it from a long ways and disable it with no effort. Right now, their only benefits is healing and hiding auras. While these are great effects, I don't think we can compare that to "Insta-Down perks" and "gen regression".
-
Killers are already OP with 4.
-
That's a long time to wait for Wraith's nerf, although it is not enough of a nerf.
-
It is too ez for killers to win. That's all I get.

Sure let’s disable 2 perks that are usually gone within the first minute of the match anyway.
That's very rare.
-
@Nathan13 said:
Boon perks should be disabled until the devs figure out how to balance them properly.
Perhaps Ruin, Undying, and Tinkerer should be disabled then because they are broken. Huntress too, until hitboxes are fixed.

This is technically known as 'whataboutism'.
Nobody mentioned a 3-gen until you did. You claimed that hexes were superior to boons innately, and someone else pointed out that most hexes are utterly useless.
Rather than rebut this, you changed the topic.
He said Boon totems causes survivors or force them into a "3 gen" which is an automatic win for the killer. If this is true, not only are Boon totems detrimental to use because killers can hear them so easily and takes no effort to instantly snuff them, but it also forces survivors into unwinnable games.
Killers need a lot more penalty to snuff them, instead of "just walking nearby and take only 1 sec to disable them"
-
@cantelope said:
Most hex perks are pretty garbage considering how easy they are knocked out by halfway decent survivors.
Only time I play a match, survivor or killer, where the totems stayed up is everyone died to quick or we just couldn't be bothered, and yes I mean both outcomes regardless of side I am on.
Boon totems just seem like a way to drag out games where survivors 3 gen themselves.
And a 3 gen is an automatic win for the killer and that shouldn't be. Instead of nerfing the hatch again, it should have been buffed to give opportunity.
-
Last time I played against Leatherface, there was 3 crawling around helpless. I don't know how any more horror can be added.
-
With how easy killers hear them and remove the blessing, it's a buff to killer. You don't get enough benefits from it, you can do most of a gen before you find a hard to find totem and bless it. Just to watch killer be 16m of it, hear it, and step on it. They need a lot of buffs so they are worthwhile of the time in it. I think they should be a lot quieter.
-
5 years ago there was true infinites, twice as many pallets, Sprint Burst reset during a chase, there was actual double pallets at every jungle gym. Killers had no slowdown perks! It's now very killer sided with deadzones everywhere and some tiles have no pallet at all.
Survivors are walking out at high MMR because of the constant killer buffs and survivor nerfs.
-
He was very overpowered. I hardly ever saw a game against him that wasn't a 4K. His lunge was too much and it gave him too many free hits. I don't think they nerfed the lunge quite enough but will see.
-
That always happens, they listen to killers first.
Watch Boon totems get nerfed somehow in the midst of Spirit nerfs being reverted.
-
Oh boy, I might become a Nurse main again.
-
This reminds me of Yui's perk that makes you lose tracking. It's a good buff but it may not be enough to change the meta. Toolboxes are still too weak in the face of an onslaught of killer slowdown perks. Having to find a locker and sit in it for a long time is too much of a downside.
In the meantime, the killer is quickly downing someone. Perhaps multiple. Lets totally forget about that.
-
Because killers have been giving survivors extra objectives?
-
I want to see them too!

congratulations sluzzy, you have hit rockbottom MMR. Its going find killers with same MMR as you and teammates with same MMR as the killer.
Your already facing the worst killers in the queue and your still losing. Those killers lose as much as you do as survivor.
Meanwhile, We're mostly having very easy survivor matches and good portion of our killer matches are auto-loss.
Even if that was true, how then is the worst killers have all the overpowered perks? Nothing is being done to make these matches feel fair. Survivors can't win in most matches. Killers are winning because the game is too advantageous for killers.

@Tr1nity said:
Whats your point? The question at the start is clearly rhetorical, so what do you want with Ruin/Undying anyway?
I want it to get the Balanced Landing nerf. Balanced Landing was probably nerfed because some maps had "a few too many drops". Ruin/Undying and Tinkerer, I want reworked because it is way too OP on fast killers. Both sides should be treated equal.

What I'm saying is a nurse main going on tirades about how wraith and huntress and pretty much every killer except literally the strongest one need a nerf is a bit silly
My last 15 or so matches have all been Wraith, Blight, and Huntress completely decimating the team. These killers are overpowered by a huge margin.

That's not a proof. That's an unsupported statement without a proof.
It actually is supported with evidence. The real stats have shown killers win way more.
-
If it was balanced you would have a fair chance at winning as survivor. The one player out of 5 has a substantially higher chance of winning.
-
That tally screen is very common. Survivor is hard. Either killer has to make a lot of mistakes or all 4 survivors player focused and perfectly.
And this doesn't consider losing when is not a survivor mistake (ie. hit through a window or when hit validation doesn't work)
-
@Phasmamain said:
While he isn’t OP I kinda agree hit and run is boring and all seeing blood needs a nerf. But he definitely has counterplay
If his lunge was nerfed, hit and run wouldn't be so effective.
-
Conveniently forgets survivors have been hard nerfed for 5 non-stop years while killers have gotten buffed and perks that stop the objective.
It's very killer sided. As alluded, every mechanic is for killers: endgame collapse.

In what universe have killers been buffed to deal with SWF?
For 5 years, survivors have consistently been nerfed every patch and killers buffed.
-
You aren't supposed to 4K every match.
If you think killer is miserable, try playing survivor with Ruin and Tinkerer every match.
Killers are only happy if they have an overwhelming presence in the match, one in which survivor has practically no way to win. Survivors need more ways to escape because finishing 5 gens is generally impossible.

which is why we buff Solo to SWF level in a way that doesn't completely change their gameplay. Removing a perk slot just because some one wants to play with their friends will discourage people to even do so, or even attempt to snipe each others lobbies.
The reason why SWF is so strong is communication, so simply give survivors more communication, such as Kindred base kit, a ping system or add a little icon next to their portrait that shows what that survivor is currently doing
Randoms don't normally play well with communication. There needs to simply be a way to make each survivor more powerful, more rewarding with skill. More ways to escape would be nice too. A killer becomes overpowered with some skill, why can't a survivor become more than someone with 4 weak perks? If a survivor depends on the killer being bad at the game with bad perks to win, balance is very bad.
-

You are taking away something from SWF, a 5th perk slot, and faster generator repairs. Nobody wants to sit on a gen longer just because they want to play with their buddies.
You have the right idea of buffing Solo Q, just not in the right way
They already have a 5th perk slot: voice comms.
Killers have been buffed so much because of SWF, solo can't win.
-
@Shroompy said:
Bring Solo up to SWF level then balance accordingly.
You can't just give Solo Q something that SWF won't have access to, why take away something from some one who's just trying to play with their friends?
You aren't taking away anything from SWF, you are simply giving solos a better chance at winning against impossible odds.
-
None of that is overly oppressive as the killer meta.
-
As pallets and loops have slowly and slowly been nerfed, less fog in the maps, gigantic palletless deadzones, and killers are extremely aware of where survivors are always located due to aura perks, the only thing left is to hold W. Survivors slowly adapted to killers having no counterplay on the map.
Basically, everything has been nerfed except the W key.

@Devil_hit11 said:
Most killers end the game with 1-3 hooks 80% of the games like kebak said. no clue what sluzzy is on about. I just wonder why 20% of the games, your teammate feel just little bit off but its often no issue if you pick up slack of your team in the oddball games.
It's a very common occurrence. If survivors were stronger, this wouldn't be happening so much:
3 is dead, 4 gens still untouched. Finding Ruin on this map is way too much of a killer advantage.

Sluzzy... just do bones, run detectives or small game, or I guess... counterforce? Although I really don't like that one, I can't remember the location in 4 seconds, lol
When a blight is constantly putting someone down, there's no time to look for a totem. By the time you already found it, it's already game over.
-
Survivors are leaving the game with MMR.
-
It's OP. Can't believe it hasn't been nerfed yet. They only look at survivors.
-
Killers get something very strong with every patch, it is way overdue for something good from survivor side.
Killers have gotten Undying, Starstruck, Lethal Pursuer, to name only a few recently.
When was David King released? It's very stale on survivor side and the neglect has been profound.
