Also, remove the ability to suicide on hook.
Yes, force people to stay in a game they aren't enjoying. Solid plan. Will definitely make them want to play the game more.

People who die on first hook are punished. They depip. That's all they need. You *can not* force people to stay in a game they aren't enjoying.
As for DC's, meh. BHVR has a good idea, but screwed up the execution. They really should take a page out of Rocket Leagues book. Once one person DC's, everyone (killer included) can DC with no penalty/rank loss/item loss. The penalty should NEVER exceed 15 minutes, either.
The fact that it can go up to days is nonsense. Their game is neither good enough, nor stable enough, nor without bugs enough to warrant penalties that long.

Being a streamer doesn't make someone good. If anything, streamers are the most whiny and self-entitled babies. Always DC'ing and demanding nerfs to killers. These are the people who thought Ruin was OP and cried until it got nerfed for crying out loud.
Being a streamer doesn't make anyone good, correct. That's why they listen statistics that prove he's top tier, Einstein.

I have NEVER gotten DC'd by connection, it just kicked me to the main menu like I restarted the game. Did the last survivor just DDOS the game server? Or is this just the worst luck I coulda had and had it
It's not a hacker. It's actually just something that happens from time to time.

The only Survivors that would see the Auras are people with Visionary, Deji Vu, Detectives Hunch and Maps.
None of those perks are very commonly used and maps are probably the least used item
Doesn't matter. It's meant to waste their time.
Also - detectives hunch and maps are about to become very widely used, with Undying/Ruin being a thing.
Again, it's an unnecessary change. There's information survivors *are not* supposed to have until they actually see it up close. Next you'll want to know Devour exists at it's first stack, making it useless.
I'm not surprised you of all people is asking for more hand holding for survivors, judging by your previous discussions.
-
Deathslinger.
-
They are fair. Zero question.
Corrupt only covers gens for 2 minutes, Pop can be countered by a survivor perk. Absolutely fair.
-
This.
Corrupt would be useless if it didn't waste a little bit of the survivors time.
-
Firstly - hackers *are not common* on PC. They exist, but in over 4k hours in DBD, I've seen maybe...5?
Secondly, lag switching isn't PC exclusive. Plus, the game is on dedicated servers. A lag switch only serves to hinder the person doing it.

No, his power is weak and extremely limited. It only works half the time, instead of slamming against walls he just slides off of them. He's also the easiest killer to deal with when I play survivor. It's an absolute joke.
Sorry bud - you're incorrect. Most top tier killer mains agree he's actually a good killer. Not top tier by any means, but he has a high skill ceiling. A skill ceiling you're obviously a mile away from.
-
You can NOT nerf survive with friends. You can not punish people for playing with their friends. Stop thinking that nerfing them is the answer. It's not. It never has been, and it never will be.
The correct answer is to balance everything else around it.

I really like that it's a feature but I'm always wondering whether I should break the wall because it gives the survivors other routes.
There are times when yes, you should break the wall. A good example is the 2 story house on Badham. If there's an open window that a survivor could jump through that would cause you to either have to go ALL the way around, or break the wall right next to it, definitely break the wall. It will actually shorten the chase.
Another example is if you have a survivor downed, and you can't make it to a hook (and you're in basement of preschool). You may need to break a wall to get to a hook. Or if a gen in your 3 gen stack is close to done and breaking the wall would be much quicker than going around.
-
Compound 21 should be an iri. So if they are running that, yeah, it's boring.
Otherwise, he's really fun to go against.

@Zagrid said:
Ok screw all these changes because they are too complicated and could be easily abused.
1 simple change. If you get on a generator, hop in a locker, heal, unhook, sabo, open a chest, or do bones the perk deactivates. Because you can not be doing anything of these things if you are being "tunneled" Then its compensation buff is if it is active and you are in a chase, the timer does not go down, however to lessen the time of perk to 30 seconds, because you don't need that extra time if the timer pauses while in chase. Simple as that, it keeps the counter play of slugging for the killer and it would remove instances of the killer getting another person hooked, going after someone on BBQ, downing them, and still getting hit with DS.
Also if you are a good enough survivor you can waste so much time of the killer's if they decide to tunnel you. You get chased around for 5 min and you still have DS so effectively the killer is wasting so much time tunneling.
This would make it a true anti tunnel perk that survivors can't use as an invincibility perk or use it as a weapon against the killer.
Technically, you can jump in a locker while you're being tunneled. But at that point, you're trying to force the DS on the killer. Basically "asking" to be tunneled, so it does make sense.
-
Desperate Measures, Botany, We'll Make It, Self Care. Pretty solid healing build, even for yourself....and pretty fast, too...but eh, 4 perks just for healing?
Just run detectives hunch and inner strength lol. Detectives Hunch is ENDLESSLY valuable as survivor with Undying being a thing.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/L0JRJEVTOI3W/img-20200919-160755076.jpg
So basically, you're just not a good killer (this isn't to say you can't LEARN and BECOME good, you're just not good *now*). You're inexperienced and have much to learn, which is why you lost. Not to mention you chose a killer with absolutely zero chase and gen pressure.
Advice from a killer with now over 4k hours: If you're just starting, play Freddy.

Put it this way - if they put TTV in their name, chances are, nobody watches them.
There, now you can feel better knowing that the streamer was literally a nobody.

1. If a survivor dies early tunneling is more or less the reason especially now with this DS bug I got a wraith that camp and tunneled me to death on hawkins with nothing to do. It was funny though I'm ngl.
2. I never said you did I'm simply pointing out the fact that if you have that mindset dont complain about survivors gen rushing. I'm talking about leaving team til stage 2 gen rushing other than that it isnt gen rush.
3. This game is about fun if you could end the game in 2 minutes for either side what is the reason for playing it?
4. I'm not saying I want to be babysat I'm not saying I'm expecting to be catered to. Although if there is no incentive to play why would any one play it. Nobody waits 10 min queues for 3 min games.
- If you've ever played solo queue, you'd know that most of the time when a survivor dies early, it's because they were an idiot who either ran right into the killer after being unhooked, or thought they were better at looping than they actually were. It's hardly ever a tunneling issue.
- Genrushing exists, but it only happens about 5% of games. If that. What people call genrush is a gen popping in the first minute. What genrushing REALLY is, is 3 gens popping in the first 90 seconds.
- This isn't an argument. We are not each others babysitters. Nobody particularly enjoys losing no matter the role they play, and you don't die early every game unless you suck at the game.
- The issue is, you're talking about this as if tunneling/camping etc happens every game. It doesn't. Not even close.

And why do you think "toxic" and "sweating" are the same thing?

He really doesn't need any changes to his add ons, they are strong but not OP. The "OP" ones have severe downsides so I think he is fine tbh. Once maps get fixed he will be much more viable.
Yep. They all have the same downsides, really. The fact that by the time you actually get to use them, you've probably lost at least 3 generators. The only way you're getting good use out of them is if the survivors are idiots.
-
YOU THINK THAT'S A SWEAT SQUAD?
I'm sorry - I just had to chucke.
My dude, that was down to your lack of skill. Not their "sweating". You need to play, accept that you will lose HARD as you learn to get better.
Killer is no doubt the harder and more strategic role to play in the game, but nothing in DBD is particularly hard regardless.

Freddy's lunge is the exact same length as all other killers. The difference being Freddy's model is significantly smaller, as is his weapon (Trapper's cleaver is the same size as Freddy's arm) so while Trapper does a swing, Freddy y e e t s himself forward to compensate.
This.
It's the same reason Nurse, Legion, Pig, Ghostface and Blights lunge can appear to be the length of a football field at times.

I mean if you are aiming to delete a survivor in 5 seconds is it really entitlement if they want it play a game to. With that mindset you shouldnt complain about gen speeds.
We both know that when a survivor dies early, it's not because "omg i just wanna play". If that were it, they wouldn't get so salty about it.
No, it's about "how DARE you tunnel me off hook when I was just unhooked in your face". Which is entitlement.
Also, I don't complain about gen speeds. Don't try and strawman me with things I never said, bud. BESIDES, do you find it entitled when killers whine about genrushing, when doing generators is the only objective survivors have? I do. I think it's a silly complaint. "How DARE they do their objective".
Killing survivors is the killers only objective. You queued up as a survivor knowing there was a killer in the game. Their objective is literally in their title. "Killer". That's their only objective. "How DARE they do their objective".
If you want survivors/killers who will play friendly, go play a Custom Match. Survivors and killers aren't eachothers babysitters and it's not up to them to worry about whether the opposing side is having fun.

Run distortion. Or off the record. Hide your aura.
You have many, many counters to these things. Just because you guys refuse to stop humping your meta doesn't make something OP.
-
My god, if you die to tombstone, you are an AWFUL survivor who FED him his power.
Running tombstone, or even tombstone piece seems easy at a glance - it's not. Against a team with even 1/4 of a brain, the exit gates are likely opened before you get to tier 3.

You mean killers don't have perks that can halt survivor's ability to do gens?
DS is meant to put a small halt to the killer's objective, or do you want me to list the perks that killers have in their disposal to stop survivors doing gens and list the perks that survivors have to stop killers from doing their objective again?
Corrupt, Pop, Thrilling Ruin+Undying, etc, etc.
Vs.
Decisive Strike.
I don't think "halt" means what you think it means.
The only that that halts survivors being able to work on gens is active generator pressure from the killer.
None of those perks halt survivors ability to work on generators. There are no perks that stop survivors from ever doing a generator.
I know you rely on DS to do well as survivor - but please, only use words you understand. Otherwise, this happens.

Okay, okay, okay, calm down.
And DS can be easily removed if you simply go for the unhooker, or patrol gens, or LEAVE THE UNHOOKED SURVIVOR ALONE.
I'm not complaining about perks, but when you start talking about disabling other perks, and telling people how to disable them, that's where I have put a foot down. DS can be disabled, just like NOED just like Ruin and it has its counters.
Or how about just use Pyramid Head and disable DS altogether. You do know he has the ability to disable DS right?

Notice how Demogorgon is exceptionally rare to see above green ranks? I wonder why 🤔
Fun for YOU may not be fun for someone else.
Why does it matter if DS hits you behind a pallet? he literally can't do anything to you but stand there and send loving kisses to you while you struggle.
Notice how someone like Bronx 4k's with DemoPls on a near constant basis (when he doesn't it's usually map related, like Ormond etc), and he's 100% of the time at rank 1 (even though, ranks mean jack diddly). He has the timings for shred down perfectly, to an absolute science, as well as how and where to place his buttholes.
Again - it's the players playing Demo well, not demo sucking. He's not the top tier killer in the game, sure. But he's not bad. It's mostly the players who are bad with him.

Scummy is designed by the community. Not the devs.
Killers have one role - please the entity by killing the survivors. That is their entire objective and purpose for existing. It's even in their name. "Killer". Doing their objective is scummy.
Just like survivors have one objective - survive by repairing generators. Then they get called "toxic" for "genrushing" - aka doing their objective.
These community definitions for "scummy" are a joke.

Yea, you're right.
I would disagree - simply based on the fact that interaction should always be involved. Is the killer tunneling? Yes. But - the killer did earn the hook. They had to chase and smack that survivor twice, and take them to a hook. Tunneling is douchy, but they did earn the hook that would activate DS. It would only be fair for the survivor be required to at least hit a skill check. Especially if it's able to be used more than once.

He puts you in deep wounds - meaning that unlike being normally injured, you're literally useless and can't do anything until you mend. May as well be down at that point. He can also harpoon you from outside his terror radius.

Mobility is king in this game, having absolutly nothing of it is a huge downside
People are just salty they can't loop him like other killers
It's not about looping. You're strawmanning. Nobody is saying "Take away his reeling harpoon!" which is why the looping is different. They are saying give him some counterplay, make it so if he aims his weapon, he should be making it count instead of just spamming M2 for free zoning with no skill involved. You're making an argument that hasn't been argued at all.
The ONLY issue is his spamming of M2. Huntress has a wind up, and a downside (and she's still the better killer, I should add) to her wind up if she decides not to take it.
