  • When it comes to Solo Q killers have the advantage, especially if they run every slow down perk they can on a killer like Blight or Spirit.

If SWF starts getting into the mix killers become at a pretty big disadvantage. Communication is a REALLY strong tool

  • Sanctum of Wrath

-Its huge, so bad for killers

-It barely has any pallets, making chases very stale and almost forcing survivors to stealth

-3 gens are the easiest thing in the world and again, leading to very stale matches

-Its a Yamoaka Estate map, meaning they need to put as much tall grass as possible

-Hit boxes on some things are very jank

-Main building is basically useless for survivors, the windows it has are all drops and theres usually nothing else in reach for the survivor to work with unless they have Balanced Landing

    Alround, a ######### map

  • Probably the same effects as the Blighted Serums

    Bugged and not working properly

They've changed this in the 5.0.0. patch. The lullaby now extends to 40 meters.

Because, you know, Trickster was too powerful.

Im aware they changed it, and theres a very small part of his Lullaby thats actually noticeable, I would say within 24-32m. Anything higher or anything lower is significantly quieter, like if youre repairing a gen you wont hear it

Source: I played a custom and put on Insidious, used my alt account and played as survivor to see the damage

  • His Lullaby is very hard to hear when in a game and its actually at its loudest when youre around 30m away and fades away when he gets closer, this actually makes Monitor still work on him.

  • Id be alright with a separate mode where it bases MMR for matchmaking and call that ranked (assuming MMR is actually working), then you have the rank system we have now as the casual mode

This way a normal pub game doesn't match a 5k hour Nurse with a rank 20.

I know English speakers are getting kinda rare in Canada but I laughed when I saw it too.

    Come on. Omlette du fromage.

What do you mean? A large majority of people in Canada speak English, its only really in Quebec (which is where BHVR is stationed)

    The rest is mainly English

  • It really isnt that hard to rank up, that goes for both sides

All the issues related to balance can all be brought back to how easy it is to rank up, you have potatoes on both sides reaching red ranks when they clearly shouldn't be that high up. Increasing the difficulty to rank up would do nothing other than help the game

  • A lot of people are mentioning bugs that were funny in some way, my favorite bug was when everything sounded echoey, like you could hear a Huntress yelling as she threw hatchets across the map, or a door buzzing to indicate it was almost opened

Exploding hatchets is probably a close second tho

  • @Edgars_Raven said:

Id have it regress at the same speed they repair.

The problem is though how do you then deal with the kicking a gen mechanic?

Having it regress at the same speed they repair? Not even Ruin does that at the moment. That would be extremely unbalanced

  • Just like Hawkins, its a balanced map for all the wrong reasons and has frustrating elements for both sides

  • Majority of the playerbase is solo q survivors and with killers running around running strong meta builds, the odds are heavily stacked against them

That should be part of an addon, but it needs a change only at Tier-3. 1 meter away is ridiculous, but the speed of the attack made me happy.

but the speed never changes from tier 2 to 3...

  • @Jarol said:

I got it and realized it needs improvements or maybe a buff just like Pyramid-Head within 2 weeks of its release if I remember correctly. He needs to have more skill in Tier-3, basically Tier-2 is the same as Tier-3 but Nemesis is faster with his power and his distance from the tentacle. Zombies are a nuisance, rarely one is attacked by one or shot down. In loops they are very useful, instead they need to respawn more depending on the type of map. Have more speed and AI improvements. They are like walking bear traps. You need to improve ASAP.

the only difference from tier 2 to 3 is you gain 1 extra meter of range, the animation looks faster but its the same speed

  • Agree'd, they should of kept the hitboxes from when they released Spirit. That was the one and only time they attempted to fix her hitboxes, but it was buggy and they just gave up and returned the original hit box. If they would of just fixed the issues that came along with the hitboxes I don't think we would have nearly as many complaints about her as we do now

There is more you can do because these killers don't have as many options; i.e. they aren't as good as spirit, and yeah there is more that the survivor can do to make the killer mess up, but thats on the killer.

Its not only because they aren't as good as Spirit. Its because they give feedback on what they're doing. People get angry at Rusty Shackles Hag when in reality it makes her worst and silent bell Wraith. Why do they get upset? Because those killers lack feedback that they originally gave to the survivors that is now taken away from them, same goes for old Prayer Beads which made people hate Spirit even more.

  • @PerfectlyPink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286102#Comment_2286102

Don't get me wrong, I dont think these killers are good. Like deathslinger is often agreed to not have any counter play in chase but he's not all that great for a number or reasons.

There definitely is "more" you can do against these other killers than spirit, but I don't think it's because she has less counterplay, she's just literally infinitely better than 99% of the other killers.

Now what you say about the killers I mentioned not having counterplay is true, but what I'm saying is that there is nothing you can do if the killer is using there power properly.

Yes it take trapper time to set up, but that has nothing to do with what happens in chase. You either step in a trap that you didn't see in time, or at all, or you change your pathing which results in you getting hit.

Seeing and hearing doctor and wraith doesn't matter because you only see and hear them because they are about to use there power and get a free hit, UNLESS, they {the killer} ######### up

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286173#Comment_2286173

Yeah it's a 50/50, but if you see her that doesn't matter because she has the advantage. She will react to what you do. If she is using her power in short bursts that means there is even less you can do since she'll just use her power again in like 10 seconds

You still can do something against those killers if they use their power properly, when 2 players of equal skill get into a chase it really is about who can outplay the other first and thats what makes the chase aspect of the game so much more fun, the survivor gets feedback on what the killer is doing and can attempt to outplay them, with Spirit that just is not the case because you don't truly know what shes up to

  • The point you bring up where "all killers have no counter play" is kinda flawed

-Trapper needs to set up at first which can't really be done if some one harasses him and keeps disarming his traps, some one else can also come around and trap buffer to be safe, as for the 1v1 you can physically see him start placing down a trap and you can just run away to another loop and keep in mind that loop is trapped

-Doctor's shock has a limited amount of range and delay where the majority of the time you can either loop around once more because he gets slowed down by his shock or you're able to vault/throw down a pallet before the shock detonates

-Wraith can still be looped, quite easily in fact. His problem against Solo Q's how ever is very similar to Spirit in the regards of he just chews through pallets very easily, since if he commits to you he's gonna constantly be up your ass. But as for you not being able to see him coming because he can use LoS blockers to approach, and possibly body block. The majority of the time if not all the time you don't have 1 single option when caught off guard. So him bodyblocking 1 pallet or 1 window doesn't mean that there are other tools nearby. And in the chase you will see him almost at all times even if he is cloaked

Another point you brought is if you would be able to see her phasing, what would be the difference? She can still hear exactly where you are and moves much faster

The difference would be HUGE. Just look at Spirit when she was first released, she was considered a mid tier killer because she gave TOO much feedback, had the phase sound which was directional and her breathing could still be heard while phasing and was also directional. The problem people have at the moment is the lack of feedback she gives, and the 3 killers you gave as examples all give feedback on what they're doing

-You can see Trapper's traps and him setting traps

-You can hear/see The Doctor charging up his shock

-You can hear/see a Wraith uncloaking

Spirit on the other hand gives absolutely NO feedback on what she's doing at the time, all the survivor see's is her standing still. The odds are HEAVILY stacked against the survivor and that's what makes it so frustrating, your skill as a survivor doesn't really matter its your luck. Even being able to see glimpses of her would be a skill learned by the Spirit by being able to manipulate what the survivor see's, similar to Old Freddy's dream transition, it would also get rid of the "stand still mindgame"

The Spirit using her power in short bursts would be eliminated slightly becuase now the survivor is actually receiving feedback, the reason why it works is because The Spirit has a much better idea where the survivor is than the survivor knows where The Spirit is

I love the people advocating for this dog water killer when they spam Ruin/Undying/Pop/Corrupt or some variant of those 3 /w BBQ and call him "good" yall are hilarious any trash killer is good /w 4 crutch perks. To answer your question he is absolutely and definitively the worst killer in the game in current state. Playing him and wining with him or getting "4k streaks" like these other streamers do /w the best and most boring perks in the game is zzzzzz

My main build with him is BBQ/Iron Maiden/Blood Warden/Monitor and I still do fine with him at Rank 1. Add ons vary but some times I play without them

  • Theres not really many in depth tactics that you can do as Legion, but theres a few things that come to mind

-Swing through a pallet during Feral Frenzy when you know a survivor likes to camp them, this way you get the hit and reduce the normal 4 second fatigue time to 3 seconds, you can also use Enduring the cut the stun even more

-If some one just got rescued with Borrowed Time hit them in Frenzy, you would of gave them Deep Wounds anyway with a basic attack and now you know where the others are

-If ever you see a survivor who likes to blind you at pallets, activate Frenzy and wait a bit, right before youre blinded vault the pallet. Blinding a Legion in Frenzy cancels it but does not send Legion into fatigue, so youre able to do a basic attack right after vaulting the pallet

  • Its not like killers are creative either, usually running Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer and BBQ.

Oh but some times they like to spice it up with some Corrupt, maybe Pop even. Just like how survivors spice it up as well some times :)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258715/this-patch-has-made-killer-unfun

Well the issue I think most killers will run into is they aren’t used to developing skill. You get 4K games at rank 18 and it never ends. Survivors have a much harder grind which is why they’re so good at red ranks. Killers need a higher skill curve to learn to compete. Plus if your definition of fun is a 4K match, that just means you’re the only one having fun. That’s an issue in itself.

There are potatoes on both sides not just killer, because of how easy it is to rank up. Both sides at base have about an equal skill curve but in the end killers do need more time because there are many killers that all have many different abilities and play styles.

Also did you even read this guys post? Man says its unplayable because of frames

It's not an OP perk \O_o/ as some people want to make it seem now. Would you rather people have spine chill or prove thyself. I know which one I would choose if I was killer. And if you assume they have the perk, then just go find someone else if they are hidden simple as that.

Again, its not an OP perk but that doesnt mean its fine the way it is

Multiple killer powers become hard countered by this perk, 2 of which they dont have a choice to look away (Ghost Face and Myers).

    Its outdated and needs change

  • Youre slowly depleting their item on the ground, smacking a brown medkit from a survivors hand will make it deplete, even if it stays there for only 10 seconds that survivor cant use the medkit to fully heal anymore. And thats just one example

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2277592#Comment_2277592

Just look the other way 🐔 simple. I had people run into and I know for a fact it's because they had spine chill, and I also done that to.

Turning around to counter a perk you dont know people have is pretty stupid. You could miss out on some things because you turned around, like if they see you in the distance and start walking away, you wont see them do that if you turn around

  • Oh no!

  • Spine Chill's effect while quite strong but not OP, is kind of unhealthy for the game. It hard counters stealth killers, and stealth perks for killers. I honestly think the effect should only apply if you're in the killers terror radius.

As for Nemesis. I've played him A LOT on PTB and for a good bit of hours yesterday, he's a pretty decent killer and FAR from the worst. Yes it may take 3 hits to down a survivor how ever he recovers from a hit fairly quickly and moves a bit faster than your normal M1. He also is the only killer who can break a pallet and move at the same time, which saves quite a bit of time. Also you need to know how to aim well, its quite finicky but once you learn its gimmicks its quite easy to get hits consistently. A survivor being contaminated is actually very dangerous for them since they remove one of their health states that they can only regenerate 4 times, and thats shared between all survivors. (They also risk running into a Zombie while in chase, while not reliable its still something that can happen)

(Also Trickster is not the weakest killer in the game)

  • I P3'd him as soon as I could (new personal record) and only got BBQ once while he was P2, but I skipped through it since I had no intention of playing him and it was in a expensive part of the web

Bloodweb needs an overhaul where you only get items and offerings from them, perks should be unlocked seperately

  • Damn thats a nice trap,

time for some one to quote me out of context

You sound like Tinkerer automatically causes the gen to explode and regress all progress made, as opposed to it just alerting the killer who then has to make the choice to go to the gen or do what they were doing originally.

And people acted like the second people got unhooked they got teleported to the killers shoulder and got ds'd, when it reality if all 4 survivors ran it only 1, maybe 2 people got to use it making it a waste of a perk slot

  • @BrokenSouI said:

DS was the literal definition of getting things for free

So is Tinkerer, what exactly are you doing to get it activate? Nothing. Survivors are doing THEIR objective and you get rewarded.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272955#Comment_2272955

Their objective being robbed from them ? 🤣. You're not entitled to get it completed for free. The perk is fine as is

Just like how a killer is not entitled to get their objective for free? So we should revert the DS nerf?

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272396#Comment_2272396

How dare survivors need to find ruin. And need to survive so pop gets limited uses. What you're describing is user error. Not a perk needing nerf. Good survivors with no communication deal with pop, ruin, tinkerer just fine.

It's literally a perk that to get use out of it. You need ruin up (doesnt usually last) or pop..Something you need to down survivors to get. It's a perk that can be useless if 2 proc at once. It's a perk that assumes you can get there in time. Or drop a chase or arnt doing anything to go and defend it.

I find it hilarious people are now on the tinkerer nerf wagon. But yet I see no posts about survillence being OP.

Tinkerer and Ruin/Pop is the survivor equivalent of DS + Unbreakable for the killer, no matter what the survivor does theyre in a bad situation, unless theyre lucky and have a teammate nearby. Thats theyre objective right there being robbed from them, just like how killers were being robbed before of their objective

Again, the perk is fine for high level play since it only gets used once per gen, because the team is able to communicate that they have a gen almost done and as they're being chased away some one else can take over, for solo q you cant just rely on luck and call it a day.

  • @jooeevela said:

Really? wanting more nerfs to killer perks? wow.

Survs will kill this game, enjoy your 15 min lobby waits

Yes, survivors will kill this game just like they did when they nerfed NoeD, STBFL, Ruin, Pop, Undying and the list goes on

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2272138#Comment_2272138

Yes...Let's witch hunt a perk that's perfectly fine, and is predicated on actually being there in time...For the sake of..Solo ques.

Yes solo que. The groups that have the blendette hiding and self caring in the corner. The Nea urban invasioning around the map. Let's balance it on that. Yeapers

The perk is totally oppressive. And not the team mates just sucking. Nerfing a perk will totally make those team mates more useful

Even when you have a group of good survivors who are all Solo Q Tinkerer is just a tad bit too oppressive, because they can't communicate. And usually the perk is paired up with Ruin or Pop, so now you're left with a generator thats almost completed but is regressing and its not like you can communicate to your teammates that the gen is almost done, so it just creates a cycle of a gen almost being completed but never does get completed and its just boring and frustrating.

The perk can stay as is if they give ways for solo's to communicate thats within the game, a ping system would be a good start and its not something that breaks the immersion of the game like voice chat.

  • A perk having good synergy with other perks or powers is not a bad thing, the only problem I have with it is how oppressive it is against solo q.

I think making it only activate once per generator would be enough, it would help solo q massively while not affecting high level play all too much. And I think it would be better than just slapping a cooldown and calling it a day

  • While Im all for it, twitter would be in an outrage and probably try to cancel him again

  • Honestly thought they were gonna keep the general chase themes for the 3 originals, then Hillbilly got his own..

I really hope Trapper keeps the OG chase themes, but he's probably gonna get his own at some point

1 … 129 130 131 132 133 … 147
