@TeambossFloze "I do not feel SWF is as overpowered as some people complain about."

I happen to completely agree with this. A lot of players are not on comms, which means they may have the small advantage of discussing builds, but no more. IF they even bother with it. And even the ones on Discord or something have to be experienced and focused. Four potatoes on comms are still four potatoes. They'll do gens a little faster, since they know when someone else is being chased, but there's not much more they can do if they go down fast.

So the prob may be more like "SWF team of good survivors". Which is kinda silly, no one will campaign against good players.

People like to use the Depip Squad as an example for things and they also did games with 0 comms and still ruined the killers, which just proves that if survivors are good they'll beat you, I see no issue.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

That's just how some killers play. Nothing you can do except hope that you get matched with a competent team.

It's a shame but competent teams don't even counter camping anymore, killer just runs NOED, and obviously survivor do gens ASAP because they don't want two people camped and then someone dies at the end anyway.

I'm all against death threats, wishing cancer upon others, wishing all kinds of diseases upon others' families etc but ######### talk has been and will always be a part of every PvP game, especially when there are ranks that dictate skill level to a certain extent.

Banning people for ######### talk in a PvP game would be absolutely ridiculous.

yea, ######### talk like "you're bad" etc is fine imo, people are seriously getting upset about smack talk in end game chat, like telling people they should die etc is too much but telling someone they're trash is fine imo.

  • Toxicity is made up unless it's people being offensive in end game chat, honestly ya'll playing a game where you murder people and are getting upset at a flashlight flicking, or a survivor crouch spamming, or a killer hitting you on the hook, it's ridiculous.

Ban people that are rude/offensive in chat, gg toxicity is gone.

Yes. ban everything you don't agree with. That's how you solve problems.

I don't want SWF to "go anywhere". My recommended solution might be flawed to some of you, but that doesn't mean something better can't be thought up.

The fact that you're all saying how many times you've heard other people complain about SWF should be a red flag to at least some of you. That alone should be enough to try and find a solution.

"Yes. ban everything you don't agree with. That's how you solve problems"

the irony when you want people banned permanently just for being in discord/team speak etc what a joke.

  • Old DS was trash, being able to "reset" a chase at the start of the game had huge impacts for killer.

Additionally, having someone block a hook once, then someone getting enough wiggle progression to DS out again was infuriating.

I only ever had an issue with DS when only one person was running it but with multiple it was luck as to whether you would hook someone or not.

It's good that you can predict the future so precisely you know what the devs will do, and what my reaction would be to new toxic behavior. You wouldn't have the loto numbers by any chance?

And you explained teabaggings toxic history. Instantly throwing your argument away.

    GG

    f79s93mhr1m11.png

Devs have already given their stance on tbagging, they will be discarding any reports etc on it, gg.

Stop being upset over things that have 0 effect on the game, it LITERALLY does nothing in game.

  • @Chickenchaser said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/595218#Comment_595218

That's a direct quote from a toxic survivor i've met about his thoughts on teabagging. so it's not just from my head. and i've got more examples from more toxic survivors. So it's not like it's a one time thing from one toxic survivor.

More emotes would give you the option to use something other than a middle finger to distract the killer. Maybe a fake injury animation, or something cool. Teabagging has always been a symbol for disrespect, and toxicity in MP games. Without exception.

Tbaggin is the act of crouching over someone you've killed, survivors can't kill killers and they also can't tbag killers, it just has been coined tbagging when it isn't ACTUALLY tbagging, but sure, get upset all you want man, nothings going to change and survivors will just do something else that'll upset you anyway.

  • @Chickenchaser said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/595196#Comment_595196

The beckon emote means nothing. "come at me bro" is a lot different than "hahaha FU trash baby killer look at how good i am suck my D". Followed by a swift disconnect after you down them, or hate mail after they escape.

I want more emots. I don't think it's too much to ask for a little forced sportsmanship.

Tbagging also means nothing lmao, I tbag campers for their attention, I'm certainly not saying "hahaha FU trash baby killer look at how good i am suck my D", that's all made up and in your head.

  • Read the first paragraph, saw you talk about "looping".

Yes, survivors should run in straight lines, to remove looping you'd have to remove windows, pallets & buildings.

Sure, lets make every map a square with 7 generators in it, with some grass.

Anyone that complains about looping wants to kill the game.

  • I've 3/4K'd almost all of my matches with him, he's pretty fun tbh.

I've also died every match against him so 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • This is ridiculous.

"A 1.5 second cooldown on the crouch button to finally stop toxic teabagging"

"Clicking you flashlight more than two times within 0.8 seconds breaks your flashlight. Or a 0.8 second cooldown on clicking the flashlight."

Why are you getting so upset on things that have 0 effect on a games outcome, teabagging is literally wasting survivors time, they could run to another pallet faster if they just ran to it instead of tbagging behind a pallet.

Furthermore, if they "removed" tbagging, survivors would just use the beckon emote all the time & then you'd be here in a few weeks asking for them to remove the emotes as well.

Must have been a swamp map, right? I've had that issue before...

It was indeed, it was grim pantry, there was one hook on the corner of the building but I used that and then no more.

  • idk man, sometimes there aren't enough hooks for killers, I've had a couple of matches today where there was just 0 hooks in the centre of the map.

  • You're getting free stuff, you aren't owed "constant" updates.

  • Honestly probably Haddonfield, that map needs more in it's pool, too.

But it doesn't mean they wont alter a couple of the other maps in the mean time, a rework is just a complete change.

  • @oxygen said:

They also didn't ban for Wake Up... or the PWYF, Thanatophobia and Legion Blades V2.0 bugs that were around at the same time.

It seems pretty obvious that after the initial legion blades "incident" they simply decided they don't want to deal with bug-exploit situations like that with bans in the future, at least not on the scale of any of those or the SB one. Not everything is a bias lmao.

Shhh, just let them pretend the devs hate them while the devs consistently buff killers in every patch.

  • @Orion said:

It doesn't work in any game. Players should never be allowed to influence the matchmaker. The very notion is absurd.

100% agreed, and if someone has a bad match no one should feel obligated to report for someones "behaviour" in match.

Killers would be getting de-karmad based on NOED, Ruin etc

While Survivors would get de-karmad based on Using certain items, looping etc.

  • @MySpaceBarsBroken said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588393#Comment_588393

Obviously that would be compensated by the survivors votes towards the killer holding less value. Banning is not a healthy solution when the reasons for disconnecting are so common and vast

It's irrelevant to make votes mean less for survivors as you're racking up 4x the amount of them, lmao.

  • This is a terrble idea based on the fact that a killer could have 4 votes against them every match.

It's a no from me, they're already going to penalize disconnects when Dedicated Servers come out, and if someone is a prolific disconnector then they get banned anyway.

  • @EvilBarney666 said:

I stand corrected. I guess I need to play survivor more lol. Thanks guys for pointing that out. 😁

Yea, not trying to ######### on you or anything but this is a common theme at the moment where people don't fully understand something so they think something is stronger/weaker than it is.

Before the hatch change there was literally someone who was arguing with mods over how the hatch worked saying it would spawn -no matter what- if 2 gens were done, that's why he thought the hatch was so strong because he simply didn't understand it, he thought 4 survivors could do two gens and key out.

  • @EvilBarney666 said:

One thing Myers has on Ghostface is the survivors do not know they are being stalked by him. Ghostface's stalk has a meter on the survivors icons. So as soon as you start stalking them if they are paying attention they know your around and can hide or look at you.

    Survivors don't see that bar.

Didn't you make the post about being afraid of the monetization in the game? Selling the one thing which does give players more add-ons, items and offering is the only p2w aspect that is possible in the game. It's also why the best killers are free.

The fact BBQ has been in the shrine gives everyone around those times the chance to get it. It's not locked behind a pay wall if there have been chances to get it for free.

Do you honestly want survivors to be able to buy the worst killer map offerings, purple flashlights with best add-ons, Insta heals or killers having the best rare or strongest add-ons, offerings at will just because they spent more money?

Clearly just follows hyperbolic/uninformed videos but didn't actually understand any part of it.

  • @P3Claudette said:

@SenzuDuck omg I didn't think of that even then they need to do something about rank because overall it's useless.

I do like the idea of some kind of reward for Rank but I don't think should be it :)

  • Because some people just aren't good enough to hit rank 1, thus meaning even if they bought the pass there is no guarantee they can get all the things.

With it being a seperate system you can choose to buy it if you think you'll have enough time to complete it.

You're only counting the stuff that's bad for survivors xD Not the speed nerf to killers for example. Increasing gens isn't a must btw. And yes, I think that If I stab you, you aren't able to run at full speed

Good job this game is based in fiction and not reality.

You clearly have no grasp on this game at all, the killer "debuffs" don't account for nearly what the survivors changes impact.

You want survivors to be slowed down by 10/20% and justify that because the killer (who is already faster than all survivors) speed is reduced by 5%? lmao.

This game will never and should never be based around stealth, lmao.

  • No, absolutely not.

Selling BP will be the end of this game.

I'd like to direct your attention to the news story about the very young and Special Needs individuals in the EU who fell victim to predatory monetization recently with your statement.

While there's some truth to what you say, there is also truth to what I'm saying and the stories from my truth should make any normal person question some monetization practices.

  • Lmao, hyperbole at it's best.

He's talking about how they "do mobile games". Which is laughable, it's not uncommon for western companies to partner with Chinese companies to help their games sell in that region as there's a lot more regulations on chinese game, just like how NetEase partnered with blizzard for a Chinese localisation of WoW, you know that SUPER popular mobile game, World of Warcraft? oh and that other popular mobile game Overwatch.

Considering Dead by Daylight is coming to mobile it might be appropriate for them to partner with a Chinese company to better their roll out & translations & online infrastructure.

Having Killers at 105% speed will mean that 4e is gonna be 95% of games outcome.

Due to different model frames even now survivor can loop huntress around small loops for hell of a long time until she is able to land M1. BL is not even builds cause survivor is almost always behind corner.

5 gens will be done while Killer will hit survivor who is looping around first pallet.

If you're this bad at killer no amount of changes to pallets or balance is going to help you if you're always getting into these "1 survivor loops me the entire game" matches.

  • This is honestly terrible.

this is just "I'll 4K every game"

Increasing gen time? Slowing survivors if they're injured when killers are already faster? Reducing pallets? increasing gens completed by 1? Flashlights standard but only blind killer? What's the point, if you get blinded, stand still, turn around and then the flashlight is worthless.

Your whole idea of "stealth" but then slowing survivors down so much they wouldn't be able to get around a corner and juke is hilarious.

I'm not usually this harsh on ideas but this is literally somebody wanting to 4K every game and make survivor suffer.

  • something, something, licensing.

@SenzuDuck Aren't we getting 1 of the old maps changed every months though?

Badham then the next rework on the roadmap isn't until mid chapter 14 in early 2020.

Would take years for the map changes to be everywhere.

they're always tweaking things, doesn't mean every map needs a whole rework to make loops smaller, all of autohaven wreckers use the same tiles, change one tile, every map that has that tile then gets changed.

  • I personally don't think Ghostface needs any work right now, with their proposed map changes, making certain loops smaller & removing the safety of a lot of loops almost all of the killers are in super good positions right now, I think.

While I do think that you should be able to hold more bloodpoints, I think the solution to that would be just remove the cap all together like they did with the shards. But I don't think the community would accept that as a reward. Most people want shards as a devotion reward so they can buy outfits.

I don't think they want to remove the cap because it's a pretty safe way to catch blood point hackers.

Anyone going over 1Mil who hasn't been reimbursed points is a sure-fire ban.

Removing the cap makes it very easy to get around that and just ebony mori/insta heal every match you go into.

I don't see anything else they can give us besides shards but you earn them as you go so is it really a reward?

  • Lately while playing solo I have been left A LOT on the hook, or survivors crouching from one end of the map to come get me so I end up in second phase.

  • I still like the idea of every devotion level adds 100K onto the max points you can hold + maybe a small permanent boost at end game, maybe .5% every devotion level, meaning at devotion level 10 you'd have 5% more bloodpoints every match, it isn't a lot but it's a nice enough reward if you play a lot.

  • Honestly, people get too tied up with the "1/2" gens done by the time someone is hooked.

this is literally where the game starts snowballing for a killer, I've had no end of killer games have 2 gens pop and then no more pop because I've caught survivor going for saves which forces other survivors off gens too.

Don't get so hung up on gens being done.

@SenzuDuck Ill actually agree completely with you, I DONT feel it fits this game well. What would you consider a "power role" and can you give an example.

I think it fits more with single player games, like you're a hero (in most games) and the outcome is you're SUPPOSED to win, you're supposed to be powerful to a point where everyone else against your character will be beat in pursuit of your character winning and reaching the end goal.

  • They should should mute notifications if they keep coming from the same survivor when not in a chase, addtionally, Killers need to stop trying to get punishments set on survivors for things that don't affect a match.

e.g Flashlight Spam, Tbagging, Window Vaulting.

While I accept the notification sound could affect audio and make you lose a survivor, there's a far better way than punishing survivors for it.

  • I don't think the term "power role" really fits well with this game.

Both sides are supposed to be able to win, while some matches are can be dominated by either side depending on skill no side is supposed to be more powerful than the other.

PS: I'm not here to argue if you think Survs/Killer is op, this is just how I see the game & why I dislike the term "power role".
