Lol, solid argument....cause reasons?
You work on a lot of things with your hands while looking behind you like an owl?
Just curious what it would be like from a top tier survivor viewpoint.
Because it's awful, survivors spend 90% of their game on generators, forcing them to look at gens for 90% of the game sounds absolutely ridiculous.

It’s been a few months since I last talked with you. I generally avoid it because of what i stated earlier. Nah, I’m not gonna dig back looking. Plenty of people already know and more will learn that you’re fallacious and manipulative. I have nothing more to say and I’m not going to try and have a normal conversation with you. You’ve shown to be incapable of doing that. Bye.
"YOURE A LIAR BUT I WONT PROVE IT BECAUSE UH YOU'RE A LIAR".
You have 217 comments, it would take you minutes to find a conversation of me lying, alternatively, I have 2300+ comments, it would take you not very long to find all these comments I lie in.
Basically the forums in a nut-shell.
Maybe you were the killer in this clip who ended up DCing because he couldn't tunnel me as hard as he wanted?

Ive had discussions with you in the past and you just make fallacious arguments and lie. So sorry I don’t believe you nor do I think you have any credibility
I would pay to see you find a comment that i "lie" in.

I genuinely believe you faked it too considering you’re a survivor main who wants killers to be a joke. “See guys! Everything is fine with ghostface! I got downed!”
Yep, conveniently alt+tabbed out of my game and missed the 1 second he was on my screen.
Like I said, you can watch a clip over 100 times and look at everything I didn't see, hindsight it great.

"Next time" he says, yet changed the camera from observing his surroundings to facing towards the combine harvester as soon as Ghost Face's bright red cloth trails are spotted stalking the other Survivor, conveniently blocking Ghost Face from view to then act all surprised when he stands next to you.
Why people enjoy being lied to for entertainment is beyond me.
Oh my, it's actually hilarious that you think I turned my camera away from him intentionally.
I was reading chat at the time, having a conversation while playing, sorry that you think everyone who plays on twitch is faking stuff, you can see me stand off the generator because I ALT+TAB out of the game, lmao.
Always the same pathetic mentality on this forum "Hate on anyone that streams the game".

You're right, it's not deep. It's incredibly simple. When somebody can't correctly accomplish a very simple task, I don't put my full faith in them for more complex tasks.
Except, you have no idea how they accomplished it.
I'm sure if the data fitted more what you wanted it too you'd be calling these graphs the next bible and talking down on anyone who opposed them.
Why do you need to know how its accomplished, if they said "We looked at who was queued up together in a lobby and then counted them and added them all up" you'd still call them liars.

While I admit there's a very real possibility that people were just screwing around when they said they attended the opera daily, anybody who would answer that survey question in a joking matter would probly just choose daily. The fact that weekly and monthly also have a serious influx means they didn't actually take the data from the survey. They just threw in random numbers. If you do the math, you'll also realize they some how managed to get feedback from around 150% of the people who took the survey.
That particular graph was just a joke, but it was also the only graph where we knew exactly how they would have gotten their statistics, and it was the ideal opportunity to show us how they could grab statistics and make a graph.
It also happens to show that they'll recycle stuff from other graphs and not put much effort into a new one. The fact that that particular graph also says percentage of all players when it's clearly only the players that took the survey is proof that they may have just not been paying attention when they labelled it percentage of all players on the graph that shows percentage of swf groups. The y-axis for that graph could very well have been something else but they just labelled it wrong.
it ain't that deep dude, lmao.
Why design a whole new graph for a joke question?
You guys take this stuff far too seriously, like lives are involved or something.
It's ridiculous.
-
@Dehitay said:
I wouldn't trust that chart 100% if I was you. There is a possibility that it's accurate, but I can't get anybody from the development team to verify how the statistics were acquired. If you pay attention, the y-axis is actually marked "percentage of all players" which means the disparity is actually even larger than it appears since it takes 2 of those 2-swf players to make a 2 man swf group and so on meaning the ratio of 4 man swf groups to solo groups is actually only 1/4 of the 4-swf bar. While that in itself is believable, it's unlikely that 2 and 3 man swf groups are that much more popular than 4 man swf groups considering 4 man swf groups would be what most people are actively trying to get when playing swf.
Also, keep in mind that chart was released along side this one which is clearly BS:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/431/R1N2OM008SX1.jpg
The chances that they fudged something up is rather significant. Especially since I've never been able to get any of them to tell me the details on how their data was acquired.
I'm just going to chime in, that graph that you posted was posted after the original stats, it was added in after the devs did a survey with a question about opera.
The reason the stats are "bs" is because people think it's funny to lie about a question which has no relevance on the survey.
You can't dismiss all the other graphs because the devs made a funny question and then pulled stats from it.
-
Third person is necessary, I still don’t understand how you guys don’t get this.
without third person there would be no looping, while you guys think this would be cool looping is necessary because going down every chase and never winning chases would be boring.
You wouldn’t be a able to dodge any killer attack, you wouldn’t be able to see michael (and now ghost face) stalking you, you’d be instantly downed.
Survivors can’t fight back, so their advantage is camera, not to mention repairing a gen and starring straight into it sounds fun!
-
Some of the changes I can get behind, the NOED one is not something that should ever make it into the game.
Making the game longer, and therefore better for the killer, while still rewarding them with insta downs at the end is insanely unbalanced.

The point here Senzu is streamers should know better then to stream current game breaking bugs.
Its streamers that spread bad news like wild fire, and they who rely on the game for keeping their audience entertained should be the last ones to promote game killing bugs.
I've read an ton of Killers claiming to taking a break from Killer until the bug is fixed. So this particular bug is having a very bad effect on the game.
Now streamers are not the only ones to blame here, the forums themselves are often just as bad, but the exposure is certainly on a lesser extent.
In the end, a Streamer who depends on a game for their success should practice the "Not Crapping , where you eat" philosophy.
The point is, no one should be using it.
A streamer has no obligation to be more moral in a video game than any other player.
I found out about this bug from a thread in this forum from a "killer main". I'd never heard of it until someone made a post in the general section instead of you know... reporting it.
-
Obviously I'm biased because I'm also a "Twitch TV".
But pretending like it's only streamers abusing the Wake Up bug & only Streamers using a perk at a time when it's at it's most powerful (OoO) is utterly ridiculous.

I forgot bnps were a thing. But thinking back at it, I agree it is possible to do the reworks seperately.
I think making requirements mid match would be better.
Maybe having to hook each survivor once and then you can kill them, and maybe making it so instas come with a small progress bar so you can't drive by heal before the killer can pick up.
-
One change is a bug fix, the other is to make breaking him out of stealth more consistently and easier for controller users.
They minor changes, I've been playing ghostface all week and have never needed to stalk people mid chase while they're exposed. I don't understand all the fuss.
-
@JetTheWaffleCat said:
If they were to change these two mechanics, they would need to do both of them in one patch. If only one was changed it would cause an outrage from the recieving side.
Kind of like the issue with the Exhaustion changes last year. A mechanic got changed, however the things that affect the mechanic (Killer add-ons) weren't changed to balance it.
Nah. moris were more akin to the old BNPs, they never touched moris when they nerfed BNPs. They could certainly patch them seperately if they needed too.
-
@WickedMilk03 said:
@SenzuDuck Alot of times, survivors donate hits to save teammates. Killers will also sometimes get the hit off and leave them injured so they have to heal and go to a progressing gen. Yes killer shouldnt be rewarded for losing chases, but when I play, a lot of my hits I end up going for someone else right after because survivors like to clump up and I try to always go for the healthy one because I usr sloppy. So It isnt always about losing chases. And if that were implemented alot more killers would hit healthy over injured. I understand what you mean though.
I was being pendantic because the point of his argument was silly.
Survivors are already punished for being injured, they're loud, leave blood & will go down in one hit.
-
@Redd said:
Rarity =/= Balance.
Just because it's extremely rare to run into a certain situation does not make that situation okay. An extremely hyperbolic example would be a rank 20 killer running into a team of 4 Rank 1 SWF survivors. Extremely rare event. Still not at all okay if it happens.
Facing something broken once in 10 games because it's rare does not mean it's not a problem. It just makes it a more infrequent problem.
I'd be happy with moris being stacked like BBQ, hook each survivor once then you can illiminate someone from the game, then it's at least earned and removes the boring tunnel aspect of it.
Instas could be made to be skill check based so you can't just run up someone in the killers face and insta heal with the only repercussion is taking one hit to fully heal someone.
There, none of them get removed but they're healthy for game play, they'll get used more because they aren't a cheap mechanic.
I don't use instas or ebonies because they're boring for gameplay, I'd certainly use them if I had to earn them in a match, though.
But heck, what do I know, I'm just a baby player that want's things to be earned & not handed out.. oh wait.

The game SHOULD NOT BE BALANCED AROUND NEW PLAYERS. That is why it's in the state it's in to begin with. It's the entire reason why survivors are as overpowered as they already are, and killers are largely clowns to get run in loops. It should NEVER, EVER be balanced around new players, especially this far into it's lifespan.
Just stop, now. You have ZERO clue what you are talking about. You literally forfeited the entire debate with that statement alone.
Except I'm a rank 4 today being queued with rank 20s.
That game should be fun for everyone, instas aren't good at any rank, it's about balance for everyone, it's almost like you missed the entire point of my comment saying
"You're clearly only thinking about the game for yourself and not others"
"Others" meaning the entire player base, not new people, just wanted to clarify before you jump to your conclusions.
I have doubts you've ever been rank one on any side to be honest, poor thing.

Change Nurse out with Wraith, or Pig. Same ball game. Jesus, I literally just lost brain cells reading that.
Good lord - I'm arguing with children. I swear.
What are you even talking about? Change nurse tunneling with a mori with any killer tunneling with a mori and tell me how that is good for new players to experience?
You're clearly only thinking about the game for yourself and not others, while theres people that actually like to look at the health of a game as a whole.

A tunneling nurse has nothing to do with an ebony mori. Nurse is bullshit and another conversation entirely. The mori has nothing to do with it. I see what you tried to do by pairing a mori with a nurse as a hypothetical - but your entire argument breaks about when you take into consideration that a half decent nurse will decimate you whether or not they have a mori.
1100 hours in game - and obviously a far better player than you guys complaining about insta heals and mori's, lol
*that was my counter*
Obviously a better player than we are because we know stupid things need to be removed for the health of the game?
Yea, change nurse out with every other killer and you have the same ball game.
But it fine because PALADIN_GOO says so!

Asking "what's your point" after everything I say that clearly has a discernible point only serves to make you look unfit for this debate. Just stop. This is just more moving the goal post, like the other guy said. It's completely unnecessary. Ultra rare things are supposed to be OP to an extent. Next you'll want Billy/Bubba's carb tuning guide nerfed, or nurses blink addons, or spirits prayer beads. They are fine where they are at. Not opinion. Fact. If you're getting effected that bad by them, you are a terrible player. Period.
Fact. If you're getting effected that bad by them, you are a terrible player. Period.
Do you even play this game? Are you seriously telling me that a killer using a mori is the survivors fault, or that a survivor running to a down survivor to press two buttons is the killers fault?
and you say I'm unfit for the discussion? Laughable.
"They are fine where they are at. Not opinion. Fact."
Ya, ok buddy, calling me unfit for the discussion while not knowing the difference between opinion and fact. Again, laughable.

While this is true, it also takes 4 survivors to start a match, while only needing one killer. Banning many survivors for using a bugged perk (which might i add, is confusing and worrying in itself on how it was even bugged in the first place) would kill a lot of the games player base, which will make queues even longer. Killers are still obviously important, but survivors are too. Also, people weren't banned for abusing the tinkerer bug, or the wraith bug with sloppy butcher- so i have doubts that using wake up will result in a ban.
What the forum doesn't realise is that not everyone doesn't stick to one side like they want to believe.
A lot of people would just swap to killer at some point lmao.
-
The map has been fine since they boosted the aura brightness, I personally don't have any issues with it.

While I don't DC for offerings I can see why some people do.
The majority of players tunnel and mori, why load up a game to spend 1 minute getting tunneled and moried.

No - mori's used to be a LOT worse. The mori was originally usable before hooking anyone at all.
They are not too strong, these days. They are uncommon and fine where they are. Same with instaheals. At red ranks, as killer, I see an insta heal maybe 1 out of 10 games. That's being generous. Even then, they're always used at the wrong time and completely go to waste.
"No - mori's used to be a LOT worse. The mori was originally usable before hooking anyone at all."
What's your point?
"They are not too strong, these days. They are uncommon and fine where they are. Same with instaheals. At red ranks, as killer, I see an insta heal maybe 1 out of 10 games. That's being generous. Even then, they're always used at the wrong time and completely go to waste."
Again, what's your point? If they are rarely used then it wont matter that they're gone, right?
Moris are usually used to end a match as quick as possible, when every killer and their dog complains that matches are too short but they have the one offering that makes games last 3 minutes. I agree they're barely used, but they're still dumb as all hell, keep moris to things that you earn, not something you offer up because you're having a bad day.
and as for heals, I don't know what you mean by the "wrong time" but I've had a fair few survivors do drive by full heals before I can pick someone up and utterly destroy the momentum of a match.
Barely used, wont be missed. 👍️
-
Both Moris & Instas are too strong.
They were made when the game was a whole different ball game & severely need looked at.
The Ebony Mori + Iridescent Head combo is terrible.
and any survivor with an insta can stop dead the momentum you get in a game from a down.
-
I've rarely seen it in any of my matches today.
Did run it myself a couple of times to see what it would stack with, lol.

Why is it unfair? They were caught, and hit. Typically if you screw if to the point where something bad happens, such as taking a hit, it's a deserved punishment.
No mither would, and should suffer the same effect, IMO. If you're running no mither, you want to play hard mode anyway.
Yea, and they also escaped the killer as well, so why should the killer be rewarded for failing to down them and hook them, if we're going to look at it that way.

220 per killer for 16 killers and increasing is already enough grind. It would already take 3000 blood webs to finish killer and 6000 for both sides with just the current cast. Some people have a life outside of dbd.
yea, and people that don't want to invest at least a little time into the game don't need every character with every perk because like you said, they have a life, halfing the grind is enough.
-
If you remove everything it's not a grind then, one of the appealing things, that keeps people coming back is the grind, if you make it so you only have to do 200ish webs to max what's the point? There's no grind in that.
more people just wanting everything handed to them, I've probably seen more grind than you guys, but it shouldn't be so easy you have a character maxed in a week.

Getting all perks right now is about 150 webs. Your suggestion requires 170 webs before I’d even start to care.
Only if you P3, you could stay at P1 and get all the perks really quickly, the grind shouldn't be made so easy it takes you two days to get the perks.
I think cutting the grind in half should be the route, not making it mind numbingly easy to max because people are too lazy.
-
@Redd said:

We definitely are. We've been keeping track of all the feedback surrounding the grind for a while now and I am happy to say that we are actively looking into it at this point.
I'd like to add my input to the grind.
P1 - 3 Perks on the web after level 40, able to get two
P2 - 3 Perks on the web after level 30, able to get two.
P3 - 3 Perks on the web after level 20, able to get two.
It'll cut the grind but only if you put the time into it.
-
Pretty much, there was a thread months and months ago about survivor toxicity, and I said killers are bad too, and posted screenshots of killers telling me to kill myself irl, they said i probably did something in game to deserve, they're blind to their own bias.
