I’m going to a killer addiction at the moment but I’m just so sick of vsing SWF and getting bullied :/
anyone feel the same?
To speak to your original post, it really depends. Some SWF groups are overall cocky and over estimate their skill. This can be taken to the point where they don't really practice and rely on their friends to say where everything is. While that helps coordinate, 4 bad players grouped up together can actually be easier in some ways to take down since they might not loop properly and they are so concentrated on giving information to their team that they are not entirely focused as to what they need to do at the present moment.

Yeah, and I mean with surveillance it's not bad, I just don't like running two perks that basically work one at a time, or one not at all.
Just feels wrong imo.
I think that is a good point, but also think about how many people run Blood Warden and NOED. You play the game to the end with only 3 perks. You also have other hex perks which can just be removed. While direct overlapping should not be tried, many people run perks that stall and then activate after another is gone or at endgame.
-
I would agree with those above that Ghostface cool down could be reduced.
I think his detection is fine the way it is. If you automatically get to see where the person is from in his base kit, it becomes border OP. Ghostface is one of the few killers that has automatic tracking built into his kit. I could see having an add-on that reveals the aura of the person who is looking at you.
Marking is completely fine. You just need to know how to use it properly. People have already alluded to the 99% which is the same you should do as Myers. I think people need to realize that just because the marking activates does not mean you are entitled to an automatic down. In one of my recent games a Ghostface marked me twice for automatic down and I outran him both times. Some survivors are just really good at looping. As someone who plays Myers it can be frustrating when you don't get a down with your power, but it happens. I would argue that Ghostface's power is better because Myers has limited ability to gather fear from survivors to trigger his evil within.

What's the point of ghostface mikey and pig if 1 perk counters them hard ?
Because just because someone has spine chill doesn't mean they use it properly. Spine Chill doesn't tell you what direction the killer is coming from. It only tells you that the killer is looking at you right now. I run Spine Chill exclusively on all my survivors and even I screw up when I leave early. It gives you advanced knowledge to give you options, but it is up to you to use that knowledge.

@potatogamer its the devs that need to fix it. Killers want to kill and their job is not to follow an honor code.
@Samwise444 kyea but what about fun. Losing for being downed only once sucks. And before you get out wataboutism arguments, know that just because killers have to deal with crap that should be fixed does not mean that survivors do not have crap that should be fixed.
@Zaonhort same reply like I replied to Sam if you are saying it should stay like that?
@LetsPlayTogether well saying it needs to be fixed by the devs is not really defending it. Just saying.
@Slickstyles no, bad people make us feel bad and its not to us to adapt, its to them to stop.
This might come off s mean, but I really don't understand your response to me. Can you please explain?
-
So yeah. While I enjoy the sentiment and do wish that both sides could get along, there is no way I am giving someone who has been a jerk the hatch. Call me part of the problem if you want, but the only way I am letting someone escape is if their team has someone who dcs or kills themself first hook. At that point, the selfishness of that person ruined the experience for everyone and they don't deserve to be punished for it.
-
I mean, it sucks that that happened to you, but camping is hilarious and should definitely not be removed. If survivors knew what was happening, they could abuse the killers stupidity of giving them free gen and totem time. There is absolutely no pressure on the map when a killer is camping. While camping at the end is like eh, kinda see its strategy, camping in the middle of the game is just dumb. Those survivors should be thanking the killer.
You are right about the stress that the killer is under.

In a few years, I see DBD remaining a paid game with countless paid chapters, a battle pass, and overpriced skins. Whats worse is that I think the monetization will be their priority over this "balance" and "fun" that people want. I don't think this game can last long. But only time will tell. Right now, I just got some new games and I'm having more fun playing those.
I'm curious, what do other people in this community predict will happen to this game? Why?
It will become Alive by Sundown

Does it suck and are they bad teammates? Yes. Is it reportable? No. It doesn't really fit the criteria of reportable offenses. Sorry it happened to you though.
-
Not enough people can actually hold themself accountable as the reason they lost a match.
NOED and DS Aren't OP but are crutch perks and teach you bad habits. If you run them, I assume you are bad at the game and that you won't really improve.
Mori's and Keys are fine, but if you need them to win, You are bad at the game. I never get bummed if I lose a match because of them.
SWF does not mean they will automatically win.
Solo Que isn't awful and teaches you to rely on yourself. In terms, it makes you a better survivor. If you start out playing with friends, it might be fun, but you will have an unreasonable expectation on how to survive the game.
We are a toxic community.

Do you play with your eyes close? You must.
Wow. You sure are antagonistic. While there are ways to move between floors and Midwich is a new map. There are many areas on the map that are broken which both streamers and other players have pointed out. It is a fun map, but it is definitely harder to navigate then the other indoor maps.
-
It really depends. I don't know everything that happened the game, but you the only possible things I can think of are holding the game hostage and harassment. For holding the game hostage, I don't believe you described it as fitting as such. Possible harassment based off chat and in game. Did you record any of it?

I agree but please don't mistake me for one. I'd the odd man out often. Please kindly carry me to the exit or the hatch. Kiss me on the cheek or the forehead (or give me one good smack) and set me free to go on my way to another game with maybe a normal team.
I will even gift you what I am carrying if you'd like as a show of my appreciation for killing the SWF and recognizing how alone I was.
Thank you killer.
XO
If I play you in game I won't kill you. Deal.

In all fairness, you still find the weakest one and target them. While they can coordinate better, you can still out loop them and exude map pressure.

Alright so I myself have been opinionated on this site for a short period of time (sorry), and while playing the game and thinking on the turlet, I've come to about a few ideas that may simply add to the game in small ways, nothing big. Just things that might add too or remove annoying aspects.
- When a survivor is in a locker for a LONG period of time, crows may land on the top and even peck at the doors. This may already be a thing, apologies if it is.
- When the Gate starts to be powered, it will automatically continue powering until open when survivors are within a certain range of the door/lever. This way survivors can't bet on just leaving the door powered while at 95%. This is kind of big actually, maybe instead, making it so that the door automatically looses power when not being touched could be better.
- CHANGE FRED-naw I'm not gonna do that. Alright! My third idea is too...well actually, I'm currently out of ideas, I know I have some more...must have forgot. SO maybe you have some? If you do I'll replace this here and add yours! Good luck out there Fog Men/Women/Abominations!
Luckily the locker thing already exists. Definitely needed as it stalls the game.
I am interested in what brought you the perspective of the door opening. From my personal perspective, I think it is fairly balanced as it causes survivors to choose when to start the collapse. It allows them to outplay blood warden if needed. It is also pretty fair for the killers in my opinion as it gives them a lot of options in the endgame. Interest in your position.

basement is not important. if it happens to be in your area, great. but you shouldn't waste time looking for it or defend the gens around it just because the basement is there.
finding the cluster of generators and defending it is way more important. since they are what determines the best area to defend.
I would agree with that. I think in general I was pointing out the 2 prevalent trap placement strategies. I mostly focus on the cluster and look at that for every killer. You have such an advantage at the start knowing where every generator is.
-
I get the point with seeing Ranks, but even the Devs admitted that your rank doesn't designates your skill. Each game is something new and there is always a possibility to win. I personally believe that it would make waiting for matches longer due to people being scared about what they might be facing. You need to play at people with more experience to get better.
-
I don't really care if people run noed or not. At a certain point, you take the chance as a survivor and do what you can if it activates or not. At a certain level, you know how to cleanse it or are able to escape regardless.
I think that the real issue is people that rely on certain perks to win them games. At the end of the day, if you are relying on noed to win your games, you really aren't a good killer and aren't getting better. When you are able to win regardless of the perks that you put on, that is a good killer. I also want to point out, I am not calling the person who posted this a bad killer. I don't know how they play and what they are using. It is statement in general.
-
Pop Goes the Weasel is a good perk on him. I would pour blood points into him and try and pick up Ruin or Corrupt Intervention to stall the beginning game. This allows you time to set up your trap network. Nurses Calling is also a good perk as there are going to be a lot of people hurt from your traps. Add in the add-on that hurts people when they disarm traps and it is vicious.
-
My other comment seems to have disappeared. The Trapper is a strategic killer. You have to make a choice of when to set up traps and when to chase. When you start the game I recommend that you do the following things.
Determine where the Basement is: A viable strategy is to play around the Basement. It is best utilized with iron grasp and agitation. Set up the traps and then hook in the basement. It then drives survivors to the area which will help with chases and tracking. Survivors will also have to make the choice of whether to play risky and go in or play stealthy to avoid traps. If you add on Territorial Imperative it will let you know when people are in the basement.
Determine the best possible 3 Gen: You will lose Gens as a killer most of the time. It is important to notice what the least distance to travel is between 3 generators and trap around it. Trap the loops, the grass, windows, and pallets. Even if you lose generators, survivors will be force to come where you are and the network of traps you set up.
Other Tip: Sometimes just place traps in the open. Survivors get so nervous when playing against trapper. They will be cautious around the typical places. They will just sometimes run into traps in obvious places.

I agree with your comment. I do play a lot solo survivor and when I am at the exit gate it's just to see if the killer downs and hook any of my teammates so I could save them. But when there are like 10 secs and everyone seems ok then I just go away. I do believe in sportmanship, if someone does their best, they don't deserve to be laughed at. And that goes for every game/ sport.
I completely agree with your above comment. It makes sense as a survivor to wait at the end for everyone or body block when necessary to make sure as many people get out as possible.
-
Also, what does your perk layout look like and what add-ons are you using? I hate to say it, but Trapper can sometimes be reliant on the load-out.
-
It really is the dilemma for Trapper. You have to decide when to chase and when to set up. It's what makes the trapper a strategic killer. I would suggest looking at the map when you first start the game. Try to find the following things.
Where is the Basement: A huge viable strategy is to play around the basement. This usually requires agitation or iron grasp in your perk list. By just trapping around basement and hooking there, you drive survivors there. Survivors then have to decide whether to play risky or cautious. If you throw in territorial imperative, you will always now when someone enters the basement to save.
Find a cluster of gens to protect: As Trapper, you are going to lose gens. However, survivors I find are way more cautious in Trapper and Hag games due to the traps. This gives you time to set up traps at loops around important generators. When it comes down to it, find a viable three gen and protect the hell out of it. As a killer, while it is important to stall gen progress, it is essential to lock down a part of the map for the end game. Because of that, you shouldn't go out of your way to save every gen.
If you think about it this way, it will help improve your games.
Extra tip: Sometimes just place a trap in the open, it is surprising how many survivors I have gotten with this. Survivors are so set on traps either being in grass, pallets, or loops that they will just run through open fields.
-
To me, there are only 3 things that constitute toxic behavior.
Survivors:
Purposely ######### over your teammates by throwing all pallets when not in chase, sandbagging a teammate so they die, and alerting killers to your presence by failing skill checks.
Taunting at the exit gates when you are guaranteed to get away. Personally this annoys me both when playing killer and survivor. It is just a scummy thing to do to taunt someone who has already lost. Can make the killer feel bad and really taints your win. I can accept when I team is better than me and I like learning new things, but you don't need to rub your skill in my face.
Killer:
Hitting someone while on the hook. I know with the changes it isn't a huge issue anymore, but some killers can still do it. Even so, killers can still swing their weapon at survivor on hook. It goes back to the survivor point that you are lording your skill over someone. That said, it is dumb to do this when the game is still running. I have a bigger issue when someone is the last left and is hooked. It's just a scummy thing to do.
-
It is a person's right to DC if they want, but as everyone pointed out, it has consequences on everyone.
You basically screw over your other three survivors. Survivors have 3 lives and with four of them in the game that is 12 lives as a whole. Killers have to hook at most, 12 times to win. By DCing first hook, you effectively take out 1/4 of your times lives. You also decrease your teams ability to get things done. At the least, Killers are chasing 1 person at a time. This leaves 3 people to get done tasks around the game. It is a lot of pressure on killers. By DCing right away, you ease the pressure so much especially during the beginning of the game.
It also has effects on killers though too to a lesser extent. A DC gives the killer a choice. To recognize the game is harder now for survivors and give them a chance, or just go all out. A lot of people won't feel affected by this and kill. However, as someone who plays at red ranks, if a person DCs at the beginning of the game, I usually let 1 person go. It just doesn't seem fair to me to punish the entire team for one person's selfishness.
For the person who DCs. You are limiting your success in the game and screwing over others. People will not want to play with you because of you screwing them over and get enough reports and action could be taken against you. By not testing yourself when facing something you don't want to face, you will never get better. There is always a way to get out of a situation on both sides. Is much as it sucks, you could have got unlucky and the killer might not be good as you think.
And while this may be mean, if you keep on DCing when things don't go your way, maybe you shouldn't play this game. There will always be people better than you and worse than you. Despite the hours I put in, I know there will be games I lose on both sides. I accept it and use it to push myself to get better.

I am Red Rank in both Killer and Survivor. I very much relate to this post.
I am a solo survivor and find it frustrating to play with some other survivors. I expect that over time, survivors will understand the importance of how to use their time. It is aggravating watching people while I am on a hook not do anything. If you learn how to utilize time, this game becomes very easy.
For killers, I expect that the will know how to shut down loops and also prioritize objectives. Killers need to know when to kick gens, when to chase, and when to hook others.

The lack of talent among survivors on red ranks is the only thing that allows red rank killers to succeed imo. The good news is with the new rank reset more potatoes are in red
It is really bad. Just played a game against a Rank 5 killer and had two purple ranks and two red ranks. We were waiting for one gen left to pop. The purple ranks were just healing and doing gens in front of the trapper. The other red rank wasn't much better. Completely wasted time. The system is going to somewhat screw over good survivors now too.

And I'm honestly wondering now if old ruin was any help at all. I'm playing all my killers, using corrupt on some like hag and trapper, new ruin on some and I'm honestly having the same results I've always had.
It honestly depends on the person who your playing and who you are playing against. I am glad that you are adapting to it. When I heard that they were changing ruin, I phased it out of my perk line up to see what it would be like. Didn't really notice too much difference. Though to be fair, I have put a lot of hours into this game. I think the people that are struggling most are the people that depended on ruin to win their games. Don't get me wrong, in my opinion, I do believe that gen completion might need looking at. However, if you are relying on one thing to win, it is not setting yourself up for success in this game. There are a lot of factors that are included in why people are upset.

I should force them out.. Because the devs treat killers as trash.. Now with nerf ruin and the upcoming nerf of Gen Slow Perk.. Expect more of Killers to quit this game... The devs have no idea what they are doing, Because they themselves don't play their own game.. And they have the skill of potatoes, Whether they play killer or survivor.. So I hope this game dies when RE3 comes out with their own Asymmetrical Multiplayer Resistance.. Hope Capcom destroys this game on any platform..
Not looking for a fight, but since you hate it so much why not just quit yourself. You clearly don’t enjoy the game and you should spend your time doing things you like. If you want to talk further dm me, but let this thread go back to what it was intended for and offering advice specific to the creators request.

You shouldn't even play this game anymore as killer.. Since the nerf of ruin(and a lot of Killer add-ons), a lot of killer mains quit.. So don't bother.. Just play a different game.. Because by the end of the day because of the stupid matchmaking, you'll be facing God Looper Red Rank Survivors as a Killer.. You'll get destroyed and eventually quit because you can't get 1 Kill as Killer..
Well there are legitimate concerns about the game, this was not what this person was asking. Let them decide for themself if they want to play the game instead of forcing them out.

I usually don't do stealth all that much. With pig I did use it. A problem I have is getting looped, I used pig's ambush attack to get a short sprint to counter looping. Another problem which is major is unhooking, survivors sometimes just constantly unhook each other.
I would love to win chases, avoid getting looped and not have survivors unhooked. I think I play aggressive most of the time.
I would consider using Trapper, Huntress, Spirit, or Doctor off the top of my head.
Trapper will allow you to place traps at important loop location and cut them off.
Huntress will allow you to punish for pallet drops and window vaults. There is a bit of a learning curve with her but she can be deadly. I main her as killer.
Spirit will allow you to Phase to catch up to survivors and confuse them at loops. Takes some practice, but highly rewarding.
Doctor has Shock Therapy which can cancel survivors actions at Windows and Pallets.
Finally, Freddy is not on Switch, so I don’t play him. However, his dream pallets and Snares also help him greatly in a chase.
I would suggest looking at these five and experimenting to find which one you like.

I'm going to update this thread with various games i play the next few days that show that what happens when a killer goes against a good SWF/Solo survivor team. So people can see that it is extremely difficult to make any progress as killer. I'm also going to show games i both win and lose and some i even completely dominate in, so i can show all aspects of it. I will also show some games i play from survivor side.
Here is the first one with play by play (timestamps reference the timer in the top left of the screen):
(Game starts ~30 seconds in for now, used youtube trim to cut out loading but it takes time)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nowfoc48lzU
Start: Immediately run to the opposite end and Static Blast to find someone.
0:36: Find the first survivor
0:50: I realize i can't mindgame him very well so i just opt to break the pallet.
1:00: hit him through the blind
1:15: He throws a pallet and i just break it since i know hes hard to mindgame.
1:35: First gen pops
1:40: I go for it and miss
1:45: I down him (Chase lasted ~1 minute, broke 3 pallets)
1:55: i hook him and immediately run to the gen i hear being repaired
2:15: Second chase starts
2:20: First hit on 2nd chase
2:24: guy gets unhooked, decide to break chase and run to him as he is weak and i know hes hard to chase so i want to try to catch him offguard and eliminate him early
2:46: i force him off the pallet with my shock therapy
2:52: dead hard saves him from his mistake
2:58: again i can't mind game him so i break pallet and break chase, hes too hard for me to chase so i try to go after someone else.
3:00: 3rd chase starts
3:08: first hit on 3rd chase
3:20: This pallet is safe so i break it.
3:28: i try to cut him off but he loops back and i lose him briefly
3:40: found him
3:49: 2nd gen pops
3:52: decide to break chase from him to try to pressure gens.
4:00 4th chase starts
4:04: i see the safe pallet i left behind and break it
4:14: god pallet wasted
4:20: she goes to the area with multiple windows so i break chase to pressure gens
4:30: hear a gen being repaired and go to it
4:32: 5th chase starts
4:35 1st hit in chase
4:55: dead hard save him from his mistake again
5:09: 3rd gen pops
5:15: got him
5:16: 4th gen pops
5:20: 5th gen pops
5:30 Camp hook (what else can i do?)
6:07: land a hit and decide to commit to it.
6:18: held in case of dead hard
6:19: downed
6:24: another hit
6:30: at this point i realize they are going to be super altruistic and decide to hard camp this.
7:30: their whole team makes a play and un hooks, i land a hit and they all block me.
7:47: borrowed time
7:55: down
8:00 i chase them out
8:30 i chase last one out
8:40: claim my only kill.
Now here's the problem with this one. I'm sure some people will say that i didn't "pressure enough" but i broke off chases that i saw were taking too long to go back to gens. If i stayed and chased the person i would have lost gens even faster and then survivor mains would tell me that i should "break chase and pressure gens when chases last too long" so i did that very thing and all i did was buy an extra minute or 2. Then looking near the 5 minute mark you can see that the survivors had enough messing around and popped 3 gens within 10 seconds of each other. In general, i felt completely helpless this game. Every chase the survivors would run to safe pallet after safe pallet and i couldn't do anything other than eat them or break chase.
I'll post more as i play, but this took some time to edit/annotate.
EDIT 1:
Game 2 from the survivor side:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzOy8hphjMw
Game starts: See the Dwight and immediately hop on a gen
0:20: M1 Simulator
0:52: teammate gets hit
0:58: first gen pops
1:06: help on gen in middle
1:15: killer shows up, dodge him a bit
1:25: see him run off hop back on gen
1:35: 2nd gen pops
1:45: teammate down, notice killer has knockout
1:50: hop on another gen
2:05: killer chases me
2:33: killer hits me
2:45: lose him
2:55: looking for team to heal me
3:00: start walking in case he is following me
3:15: can't find my team, hit the basement hoping for medkit
3:45: looking for a gen, still don't know this reworked map too well as survivor
4:20: found a gen
4:36: killer downs teammate near me
4:50 position myself for the save
5:10: tap the gen
5:20: killer chasing me
5:25: 3rd gen pops
5:38: hear someone working on other gen, decide to run killer elsewhere but get downed
5:50: killer can't find hook
6:05: break free
6:15: lose track of killer
6:22: he legitimately startles me
6:44: 4th gen pops
7:25: teammate unhooks, and heals
7:38: 5th gen pops
7:55 run to exit gate and heal teammate
8:05: see someone get downed, gonna go save them
8:45: killer misses me and runs for gate, i go for save but get beaten to it, head toward other gate
9:25: get forced out by killer and escape
This game i was basically running perkless Jane for the challenge. You can see how fast the first 2 gens popped, in less than 2 minutes. Nearly a minute 30. Probably would have popped the others faster if i knew the map better. There were some times where it was clear the killer made some mistakes but the gens all popped so close together in the early game and the end game that i doubt he had time to even think.
Now imagine that chase from 2:05 to 2:45, 30 seconds. Imagine if my team was working a gen or 2 during that time. They likely would have popped 1, like they did the second time the killer chased me.
Hi there Reinami,
Watched your Doc game. The game offers a lot of good pallets for survivors. I will say that I don’t think your perk set up worked well for the map. In the Game whispers is always going off and Barbecue and Chili can give you little information depending on where you hook. While enduring is good for the map, don’t usually see it on a doc. You might want to consider changing up your build.
There were several times where I think static blast usage would have helped. I would suggest using it more often and looking at the information given. There was an instance in the game where it showed you two survivors next to each other and you continued going after the solo one. Depending on madness level, that solo survivor might not have been doing anything if you broke chase.
It also looks like your shock therapy is missing your targets which is costing you time.
I did think you played the end game well consider what you were up against. You did a good job of damaging. Just some thoughts.

I have never seen a killer being mad over not giving him free hooks... Killers get mad at genrush, keys, hatch camping, toolboxes, getting looped, bad matchmaking, but never seen what you are talking about.
But I have seen surviviors complain about not getting hatch/free escape
Hi Archimedes,
Not really sure what you are referring to in my post and was hoping you can clarify. I took the majority of these responses to mean that the killer hasn’t been getting hooks all game and the survivors feel bad for them. If that is the case, I personally don’t support that. However, if other people choose to do that it is their choice. Really unsure when I indicated that a killer would be mad with this scenario.

You should never have to rely on one perk to win a match. Besides DS can give you a false sense of security if that is the only thing you plan on using to get away. It would help to know your current perk setup to better direct you playing against a doctor.
-
While I appreciate you wanting to encourage killers, especially if they are new. However, you are giving them a false expectation and not helping them learn. When they eventually do level and rank up they will not enjoy facing higher rank players. Not trying to come at any you or discourage people from playing, just my perspective.

I'm a beginner.
I bought pig, she's good but disadvantages the way I played her were that in some maps crouching limits your vision because of the view, and the ambush attacks make that stupid pig noise giving survivors plenty of time to escape, but even still I did good with her.
Any recommendations? As a beginner nurse for example is just unusable for me at the moment and I get bullied all the time.
Thanks in advance.
It really depends on your play style and what your current set of killers includes for your game station, if you don’t have LeatherFace, I would highly recommend leveling him up to get Barbecue and Chili to get tracking perks. It will help you as you are learning know where people hide on maps and when they are going for priorities. If you let me know what you are looking for your in play style we can direct you to a good killer. Because really we can recommend what is suggested but it might not work with you. Feel free to DM me if you want.

Oh definitely. When I was playing today in the new treatment theatre, I kept on getting unhooked and for no reason ran straight at the killer. Needless to say I died in a minute of the match starting.
it is weird though that from your perspective you are being targeted by separate killers.

I wouldn't say "bad killers" because I'm Rank 1 and the lowest rank killer I have gone against at these ranks (normally) are Rank 8s
That is fair. Regardless it seems like the killer played a bad round.

As a survivor, I have never tried to rely on DS to save me. Don’t get me wrong, it is a good perk and can turn the game around. For me personally, I don’t use it because of the way it changes my mentality. I find that I loop worse with DS since I know I can get out. I would rather not get caught to begin with then depend on it to save me.
As killer, it can be annoying but there are ways to counter it. It honestly sounds like you are going against bad killers, because the killer should have broken the chase and focused on someone else. There are legitimate complaints with the game, but players need to evaluate what went well and went poorly in their performance and the adjust accordingly.

Honestly, as a survivor main I can't believe your bias and arrogance. Do you realize that most of the time that tunneling and face camping are toxic to killers as well? The killer is literally doing nothing to stop other people from doing generators at that. That is so much time wasted and if survivors know what they were doing, they would take advantage of it. Out of devil's advocacy, how would you even propose that they change it? It literally is embedded in the game. They can't change it unless they completely rework the entire game concept.
Likewise, your treatment of killer is awful. You said that everything that survivors do require skill and timing. Well guess what, so does a killer. A killer has to deal with 4 different survivors and guard 7 different generators. It takes a lot of skill and timing to be good at that regardless of how they choose to do it. Honestly, screwing up even once can tank a killer, while survivors can make several mistakes and still escape.
You need to seriously evaluate this game and your outlook on it.
-
@Hopesfall Lol. That is true. Tunneling with Plague is just not viable. I apologize because I might have taken your comment a different way. I did not see your comment about the Oni and did not think about it that way. I think that your idea regarding that has a lot of viability. They both focus on health in a way. Perhaps changing it so that cleansing at the pools does not make it corrupt and instead survivors having to cleanse to stop the Plague from getting corrupt. The longer someone stays sick/broken and the more that they are puked on, it builds a meter the Plague has until vile turns corrupt.
-
Yes. This is a game. While there are problems with the game and legitimate concerns on all side, I just try to have fun and learn from each game.
-
I agree that the Plague's power needs a slight update. If Survivors don't cleanse, she does not get her power. While she has an add-on that allows her to start the game with one pool already corrupted, it might be beneficial to have her start the game with one pool corrupted regardless.
Another suggestion is that every minute or two, a random pool becomes corrupted for a set period of time and the plague has to make a decision of going to the pool or not. If that change takes place, to balance it, corrupt purge would last for a shorter period of time.
Iridecent Seal does provide a great benefit of having purge automatically switch to corrupt whenever a generator is complete. Toying with this idea would be beneficial as well.
While I like the suggestions above, I would worry about a) whether the Plague is good enough to connect with all of the pukes past broken b) the Plague spending way to much time focusing on one survivor just to get the corrupt purge.
-
@ModernFable I can agree with that. Though to be honest, though I played him before the change I didn't think he was a top tier killer. While this comment might be against new players, given enough games against doctor, he is counterable.

Just curious as someone who has played a lot of this game, but what are the current clutch perks. They seem to change every god damn minute. Honestly, if someone's biggest problem with this game is a singular perk, I question what your play style is like. Obviously perks should be monitored, but it is ridicoulus to target certain perks. Both survivors and killers can win this game without playing "meta perks".
