  • @ModernFable I completely understand since I use the same build with Doctor. I agree that the build is not as strong anymore since the field is not constantly emitting static. The doctor definitely does suffer from looping due to the concentration needed on his power and base move speed. Thanks for the input.

  • @ModernFable Was wondering what your concerns were? Open to different perspectives and actively curious.

  • Definitely Empathy at first. A lot of people told me to use Bond instead. However, with my play style Empathy lets me know when people are in a chase, where the killer is, and what I need to be doing at the moment. While I don't know where my team is, I always know what I have to be doing based off my aura reading.

I love the changes that they made as well. I personally think it is a lot more balanced for both sides. The only thing I don't like is the snap out changes. I don't think you should keep your progress if you screw up. Here are some doc builds for you.

Here are some Perk Builds you should consider. Unnerving Presence + Distressing + Huntress Lullaby/Overcharge/Pop Goes the Weasel. Increases your terror radius and triggers more skill checks. Huntress will make checks silent and other two will reset progress. You still will get tons of detection information.

For a detection build use Barbecue and Chili + Whispers + Monitor and Abuse + a Generator stopping perk. You will know where everyone is and be able to position yourself well.

If you want an Exposed build run Barbecue and Chili + Haunted Ground + Make Your Choice + Iron Maiden. People will use lockers to hide from your power and become exposed. You already get enough detection info. Only con is no generator stopping perks.

Here are some good Add on Combinations

The combination of Order and Discipline is good when it comes to chases. The illusionary pallet combination with constant red stain will really screw with a survivor and can cause them to panic.

While not a direct correlation, you can use Obedience and Restraint as a combination for detection. The Obedience turning skill checks counterclockwise can cause survivors to reveal themselves for failed skill checks. Illusionary Doctors also give you really great information about location.

  • I honestly don't have a problem with the random generation of exit gates. It can be difficult, but honestly raises the skill level of the people playing. For NOED, I am unsure what you mean by your change for bitter murmurs. Hex Totems in themselves are risks and come with great rewards and also dangers for the user if cleansed. How would this change be different?

@WTBacon though is right though. It depends on your play style and perks because those could decrease the effectiveness of the Add-On Combos.

  • @kreeper124 Hope you are doing well. @Pythonheir gave a really great breakdown on the different types of structures and perks. Somethings that will also help your ability to survive.

Timing and Positioning: Timing in this game is everything. You need to know when to save, when to work on generators, and when to loop the killer. Get knowledge on where other survivors are on the map and what they are doing. If a survivor is in a chase work on saves and gens. Some perks that can help you know where people are would be Spine Chill/Bond/Empathy.

With positioning, you want to be able to know where the killer is when you are running loops. Don't always run, but position yourself on corners to know which way the killer is coming. This will allow you to know when to vault windows, throw pallets, or leave the area.

Perks: I usually run spine chill and empathy to know where the Killer is on the map. These perks will allow you to stay immersed and know when you have lost the killer. By deciding what your play style is will help you decide what perks to bring in. If you know you are going to be in tough situations frequently, Deceive Strike/All Exhausted Perks/Spine Chill/Self Care/Unbreakable/Mettle of Men are good choices.

    Immersion Perks: Empathy/Spine Chill/Quick and Quiet/Urban Evasion/Diversion/Iron Will/Light Weight/Dance with Me should be considered.

Some of these perks are better than others, and people will argue whether they are worth it. Figure out your play style and choose the ones that work well with you.

  • Hi @RayrafLPP:

Your build looks pretty good and I agree with DBD78 about using Make your Choice. I would remove Monitor and Abuse and add Make Your Choice personally depending on your play style. With the Pigs crouch mechanic your terror radius will already be affected. Make Your Choice adds another obstacle for survivors that already have to contend with your traps.

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH If it works for you that is awesome. Just be aware that it can be countered and you need to know the pros and cons of the combo. There are a lot of combinations out there for killers, and you need to find out what works best.

  • Thank you both. I appreciate the answers.

  • As a survivor main, I respect that Barbecue and Chili can give the killer an edge, but do not agree with you that using it means you have no skill. Killers have to keep track of four people and stop five generators from popping. That requires a lot of skill at high ranks. Even with Barbecue and Chili killers can be destroyed at high ranks. I would really like to know what tangible issues you see with the perk and have a discussion about it.

  • Depends on what type of build you want to run. If you want to make it difficult to do generators use the following combination.

Unnerving Presence + Distressing + Huntress Lullaby/Overcharge/Pop Goes the Weasel. Increases your terror radius and triggers more skill checks. Huntress will make checks silent and other two will reset progress. You still will get tons of detection information.
