I know people don't really care about the emblems, but it does affect one on them. Camping really isn't a huge problem though.
@ElusivePukka said:
Read what's written, kiddo.
Borrowed Time isn't super valuable even against campers anymore. I catch people off the hook all the time, and typically their rescuers too.
Them needing to 'get good' doesn't absolve the dev's consistent prioritization of quantity over quality, and especially the deprioritization of QoL.
Then that means that the survivors are not utilizing it right. Or doing a 1 to 1 trade to save someone on death hook. Camping is really only successful when people don't know you are doing it. Most good survivors will recognize that the killer is camping and do 1 of two things.
- They will rush gens and punish the killer, which it will. The killer depips and realizes that it doesn't work.
- They will coordinate and get them off the hook.
Most bad survivors will rush the hook without a plan.
-
Trying to be as humble as possible, but I think on your ranking I would be A-Tier Survivor and Killer.
Survivor: I know how to loop really well, know where killer is most of the time, trade into chases with survivor on last hook, know how to do gens, know timing, don't use keys, and usually don't get caught.
Killer: Know how to optimize Killer Power and stunt weaknesses, know how to mind game and loop effectively, keep track of generator placement to force survivors into one area, don't use moris or noed, and pinpoint weakest survivor and punish overall team.
While I consistently 3k and 4k at red ranks and can escape a lot, there are times where I really screw up. I am definitely up there, but not god tier. And in addition, in no way do I think I crack the top 5% of players.
-
Trapper: Can use his traps to shut down windows, loops, basement, and stairways.
Hag and Demogorgon: Can use traps and portals easily travel places. Lot of tricky places you can put these traps to trigger them. I will admit that Demogorgon is not as easy as hag due to manually having to choose to travel.
Nurse: Cuts down a lot of loops.
Spirit: Easily cuts down on loops.
Stealth Killers: To an extent, due to all the long walls, barriers, and 1st and 2nd floors. I would say Myers struggles the most for stealth killers on this map and then the tier up.

Nah your good, but if you like you can give me some good tips on demogorgon since ima try him out soon.
Sure. A very effective build for Demogorgon is the following Perks.
- Make Your Choice - Demogorgon's travel time in the upside down makes this perk extremely usable. Hook someone, set a portal to get away, once the unhook happens travel back and down the person that saves.
- Pop Goes the Weasel - When hooking you can use the portals to travel back to a Gen close to finishing to hit and regress it.
- Surveillance - Lets you know which areas of the map you need to go to at the time and has great synergy with pop. It also allows you the time to do an extra chase when people are looking to unhook.
- Spirit Fury/Save the Best for Last/BBQ and Chili - Last one is your choice and what you think you need the most. Spirit Fury is a go to for me since people throw pallets early to nullify shred. Once you get the required amount you just go straight in. Save the best for last can be good for quick hits. BBQ and Chili is useful if you are trying to see if their is people in the area close for the unhook. Gives you the option of either staying or going.
For Add-ons I would use the following to boost his of the Abyss power.
- Deer Lung - A must for this build as it shortens travel time between portals. Will help you better use your perks above as they are time sensitive.
- Unknown Egg or Mew's Guts - Mew's guts is good for an extra portal and unknown egg decreases cool down for travel time.
Demogorgon is a highly mobile killer so you will need to take some time for set up and try to hide portals around corners. I would never recommend putting them up right against your target. While of the Abyss can be used for detection, I would mostly just use it in chase as you will have plenty of detection perks you can utilize.
I recommend also keeping an eye on your portals and utilizing them effectively. Also, while tempting, don't use shred to try and close distance in my opinion. It takes 2.25 seconds for the cool down and goes to a maximum of 11 meters. Survivors run 4.0 m/s which means they will have run 9 meters before you can start moving again. While it seems like you have caught up 2 meters, if you shred into certain areas of maps, you will have to go around those barriers and the survivor will have made up time. Also be careful using your shred on elevated areas. Survivors like to bait demogorgon into shreding off the elevated platform and them staying on it. I recommend using your basic melee attack when you are on second floors or hills.

Not care. If I am facing these scenarios, I am happy to get as many kills or generators done as I can. I actually like the challenge.

Seems like this is quite common no offense. I run this build almost every now and then and I have quite a blast doing it. I was just thinking of some meme build like slingers basement or oni status effects.
None Taken. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck!

Ok so firstly, around the map, It was yamaoka. I heard what sounded like Jigsaw boxes
Then myers grabbed a david off a gen and he screamed like 3 times.
Later on, he had literally no heart beat, not even any breathing sounds. When he was right behind me.
Then he tiered up to tier 3? Like i don’t remember hearing a tear 2 noise. He went after a claud so i hid in a locker on the other side of the map.
When i was in there he finally hooked her but i stayed in cause it was a werid game.
Then he just nodded at my locker and I head on’ed him.
We all died.
It was either just a cluster ######### of bugs or some sort of hack. Idk.
Was he running Dark Devotion or Infectious Fright?

Most of us who play this game play as survivors most of the time. We enjoy this game when it’s fair and we don’t have to play against impossible to beat killers. In my opinion, I think these people who are impossible to beat killers have become this way because A) First and foremost they don’t do anything with their life, other than play this game every waking moment of their day. And B)The devs are doing things with this game which make them virtually unstoppable (if not completely unstoppable.)
Just watch each game you are playing and notice how many times killers kill every survivor in the game. You will notice that in the VAST MAJORITY of these games, the killers win outright and not even one survivor escapes. And on top of that, the devs have now made it to where we as survivors cannot even see the auras of other hooked survivors???!!!
Guys, it’s time for us to quit. If DBD is gonna do this and make it so unbelievably unfair for the majority of us trying to playing this game then it’s time to walk away and do something else. If DBD wants us back then it’s gonna have to be on THEM to make some real changes to balance the game to bring us back.
Then Leave. But realize that there are people who are having fun on both sides regardless and they can make there own choices. You don't get to decide for all of us what we should do.
I honestly don't get these posts. If you are going to leave just do it as Shia Laboef said. No need to announce it to everyone.

@BaldursGate2 said:
Freddy. Why? Because if you thought, the auras for other killers are bad, increase this with the more darkish dreamworld and you see half of that what other killers still see (or as example, ormand perma on every map).
Pls fix =)
@Diggly said:
Fellow Freddy main here, if you want some advice, pop on Surveillance. White gens are easier to see than red with the current auras, and it could also help you with info.
Can confirm because it also helps you utilize gen teleportation which is part of his main power. Still though, I wonder why auras specfically are making Freddy unplayable for you. What else are you having trouble with on him? What is your playstyle? Perk setup?
-
I always kinda like pain relievers grading scale for killers and base powers.
Stall Potential: How long the killer can prevent objective completion
Lethality: How quickly the killer can end chases
Detection: How quickly a killer can find survivors.
Then tier two is add ons
Then tier three is perks.
-
I got to say that 8:23 could be a lot faster. Most average are games around 8:00 - 10:00 minutes. I also think that it is unrealistic to believe that no generators should get done as killer. As a killer, I assume that I am going to lose a couple generators in a match, but can still do well.
I would recommend that at the start of the game you take a look and see where there are generators clustered. Once you find that close cluster protect it for your end game. Definitely leave and pressure elsewhere, but keep that area safe. It will cause the playing field to decrease and paint survivors in a corner. For instance, in Hawkins, I don't even seriously protect the generators on the top floor. They are hard to defend, but by survivors completely them it brings them closer to me. I would also get rid of pallets in your protected area as soon as possible. This could seriously help you in your ability to down others.
It also sounds like you have a problem with tracking. I would recommend putting on perks that help you track outright like bitter murmers or whispers. I would recommend BBQ and Chili, but since you stated that you are having trouble getting hooks, it would not have a lot of utility on you yet.
Best of luck.

@Samwise444 alright I'm just thinking on the killer I should get because I already know what survivors I'm getting but it is difficult to decide what 2 killers I should get. But still thank you for answering me. I might choose Myers because I'm getting so much Myers and I'm already getting posted about my other discussion I did which is called Good clown build? And a person said get STBFL for the clown.
Most definitely. Like I said, Myers is one of my main killers. Feel free to dm me if you want to talk about strategy for him.

A new stealth killer ( cmon don't tell me Dracula wouldn't be stealth ) is always welcome.
He could even have decent map pressure by turning into bats or some stuff like that.
Possibly being able to teleport to crows or being able to look through crows eyes when disturbed or in general.

@ZephanUnbound I'm basically going for both ( first time getting auric cells for killers and survivors) but still yes I'm going for both I've never played a licensed killer. The only killer I've played with that is purchasable is The Clown.
I'll be honest, Bubba is a killer that I don't like playing as. He isn't bad, but isn't always viable. His perks though have a lot of utility.
Pig and Myers have relatively viable perk and their power has a lot of utility. They are two of my main killers.
-
Bubba specifically for BBQ and Chili
Michael Myers because he has great obsession perks and is a fun killer to play. He is my main.
-
In my job, I handle a variety of student issues. They range from roommate concerns up to Title IX, Hate Bias, and Suicide Ideation. I play this game to take my mind off of work when I am done with work and helping the student as best I can.
-
I highly recommend running infectious fright on Oni to supplement his downing power. Since you seem to want to use the power to this fullest, this will help detect if there are easier one shot downs near your location and where they are coming from. I also recommend Nurse's Calling to detect people that are healing close to you. To fully use his power you need to make sure that people are still injured and leaving you blood. I would also throw on Blood Echo and Forced Penance to inflict broken on survivors. This will continue to have people blooding and not heal for a while. Downside of this build is that there is no slow down. Some perks to consider shuffling in and out are sloppy butcher and Thantaphobia. All of these perks play into the power Oni has and further augments his strength.
When it comes to Death Slinger, I would recommend a basic tracking perk on him such as whispers or BBQ and Chili. Pair this with monitor and abuse to cut down his terror radius and be able to surprise survivors when you shoot at them. I would throw in Save the Best for Last so you can get quick hits. The last one is up to you, but I would recommend a slow down perk if you are starting off. It takes a while to learn how to hit the shots. When you pick up the shots I would put on either Make Your Choice or Devour Hope. Death Slinger has the advantage to pull people into his hits giving you easy downs.
-
It's a fairly good perk loadout. Spine chill to let you know when people are coming, Kindred to help out your team, Adrenaline to help in end game, and sprint perk to gain distance. If those are your only perks it isn't bad.
It all really depends on what your playstyle is like though. This seems like a relatively balanced perk list. It really depends on if you want to specialize.
-
I do honestly wish people would play both sides. It helps your play for the side you favor and also allows you to see what each side goes through.
-
Thank you for posting this.

relatively new player here....why DC again map offerings?
Because there are certain maps that people choose to hate. As survivor, I sometimes put hospital and hawkins. So many people dislike those maps but I love them. Certain perks work better on certain maps and certain killers have advantages on certain maps. In general, I wish that everyone would be open to playing on any map. No matter what happens in a game, there is always a chance to win and a chance to lose everytime. It is how people play which will make the difference.

It's because the killer doesn't know how to succeed without it.
-
To get to the point of the original post, I believe that there should be no screen to show you offerings. It is more fun that way and I think automatically changes the way people think. If a whole bunch of survivors bring bloody party streamers, I am going to have a certain perception of them. If anyone brings a map offering, I immediately think that they chose this map for a reason and are most likely good on it.
Leave it a mystery and let the game play out as it is.
Then again, I also don't think killer should be able to see what items they are bringing or be able to check how many hours they have played before a match starts.

I mostly agree and don’t drop match because of offering, but it most certainly influences how sweaty I’m gonna play if an obvious swf burns a Haddonfield. Sure, I’m petty, but if these groups go out of their way to flex an advantage and deny me a game, I’m going to do everything in my power to return the favor. That’s just how it is.
And I respect that. You should absolutely play to the best you can and not let up on a team regardless of the circumstances. I also get that certain maps and situations will change your tactics. However, I do strongly believe that no matter what, that you can still escape or 4k in any game. There is a certain amount of luck, but skill is involved too. By people dcing, it denies them the ability to grow and try new tactics. Best luck out there.

Tunneling = Going after one survivor exclusively until dead. You do not hit anyone else. You do not lose that survivor no matter what.
Camping = Literally being up right by the hook until the person dies. Patrolling is not camping. If I know that another survivor is around, I am not going to give them a free unhook. That said, I will make it possible for them to save.

myers is week , there have been 2 forum posts , 1 made by me saying myers needs a buff and they got 600 views . and no they do not need to rework DS , the perk I mentioned just delays the effect of DS for the times I mentioned depending on what level the perk is . and if you saw any of the movies you would see that myers is invulnerable to pain so it fits in perfectly with him .
Right, but for coding, they would need to rework the code of ds to stall it and would need to update the wording of it to notify players. It is a rework. I don't know why this is focused on Myers either because if you are making a perk then any killer would be able to use it.
-
@batmanscar said:
its only immunity for 10/15/20 seconds
They would then need to rework DS because the skill check pops up right away. If you are close to a hook then DS is totally pointless. Besides people might disagree with me, but Myers does not have a single bad perk. Some have more utility then others, but they are all pretty good.

Seeing a lot of people say that Pig is a weak killer. While she is certainly not top tier in terms of killers, her power without add ons and perks is not the worse and has much utility.
Her crouching gives you stealth and undetectable status, This allows you to get close to other and get hits and downs without alerting them.
In her crouch she has ambush which a good pig can use to close distance and shut down loops better than clown. You potentially even get some pallet drops here and there.
If you are evaluating her RBT by how effective they are in killing people, then they are not. I get a couple every now and then. However, evaluating it as a stall mechanic it is pretty good. You have one person who is trying to get it off their head, they are out of the game at the moment. Down someone else and then they are out of the game at the moment. This requires someone else to come and unhook which takes them out of the game too. That leaves 1 person doing gens.
With the bear traps, you also know that there are 4 places a survivor is heading, which you can patrol when patrolling generators.
At its best, it is an anti-looping, stall, detection, stealth, and killing power.
There are some obvious work around to it, but even if the trap comes off fast, you still stalled the game.
-
I would agree that Plague is the best to level up first. Corrupt intervention is a great slow down perk at the start of the game and forces survivors to come towards you. Infectious Fright is amazing on capitalizing on downs and potential slugging potential, especially if your using an insta down killer. I use it on my Myers and capitalize on his tier 3.
Pig next. I feel that pig is under rated. As stated above surveillance and Make your Choice are good perks. Not meta, but pretty consistent. As stated above thought, you do have to be fairly mobile when using them. These two perks have great combo potential with others.
If you find people are getting generators done fast, I would potentially recommend picking up Freddy's perks. Bloodwarden is a fairly good perk, but not unbeatable. It will apply pressure during the end game.
If you are running obsession based perks, pick up Nemesis from Oni.
Good luck.
-
Without add-ons and perks, it has to be clown. There have been good points about other killers above, but clown is extremely weak and his power does not compare to the other killers. While he can slow survivors down and cause them not to see clearly for a tiny bit, good survivors can still work around this. His power does not guarantee a hit. Does it help... yes. Is it the best mechanic... no.
I know that other people are saying legion and I agree with the limitations Legion has. However, Legion's power is way more versatile then clown. It is a tracking, speed, and forced healing power all in one. Is it lethal... no. Does it stall the game and give the killer options... yes.
-
So this discussion is interesting because some people assume anyone that was looking for a game with another player is on comms. I am a solo player, but there are certain people that I play with that have met during matches and acknowledge that they are good players. None of us play with comms and have played so long, that we know what we are doing. We would technically be considered a survive with friends based on some people's descriptions, Yet we play solo with no comms when in games together.
You know how to deal with SWF. Kill them. Just straight up in game kill them and complete your objective. While SWF who use comms can better coordinate, it does not mean that they are good at running loops, getting objectives done, and their own individual timing. Having comms to also can be a distraction. You are so busy receiving and feeding information that you are not focused on what you need to be doing in the moment.
So again... How do you deal with a SWF... Keep practicing and kill them. It is the teams that don't use comms and are just in total sync that are more dangerous.
-
Agreed with the comments above.
I would get BBQ first for Blood Points and Tracking
Level up Hag for Ruin and Devour Hope. While Hex Totems, they have some of the best effects in the game with exposed/mori and game slowdown.
Then Level Up Plague for Corrupt Intervention and Vicious Fright. Another early game slow down perk and a detection/slugging perk
Nurse for Thantaphobia and Nurse's Calling. Massive slowdown perk and detection perk when someone is injured.
Finally Clown for Pop Goes the Weasel and Kinda Bamboozle. Huge slowdown perk and perk that kinda helps in chase.
These perks will help you with killer immensly
I would finish by leveling up Spirit completely, because in my opinion she does not have a single bad perk.
-
You can't really counter a key, but at some point you have to make the decision to just chase and down one person to either put pressure on them or secure a kill. They would still needed to have finished a gen, made it to a door, and then opened the door. Your ranged ability could have made up some time.
I also wouldn't look for the hatch if you haven't found it yet. Takes away all pressure. By letting them have it, they might not have searched the chest. Maybe 1 kill possibly 2.

Thanks for this very informative information. Very much appreciated.
No problem. I like helping others. Feel free to dm me if you want to talk more about killer. I play all of them, so I can look at your perk builds and add on combos and give advice on playstyle.

Tip 1: Look at where the Gens are at the beginning of the game. When doing that determine where there is a cluster of gens that you can turn into a viable three gen, since the games won't be quick at first. You need to acknowledge that you will lose gens and control it so that when you are losing gens, you actually are gaining the advantage. The example I give is purposefully giving up both second floor gens in hawkins. You are shortening their play area and removing strong loops.
Tip 2: Don't chase people around easily chainable loops unless they are in the area you are trying to protect. If they are in that area, go ham and remove all the pallets in the area.
Tip 3: Don't go for the meta perks and choose perks that compliment your gameplay. There are some people that run BBQ and Chili and then just camp the hook where the survivor on. Utterly stupid.
Tip 4: Actually know the weaknesses of you killer and how you can exploit them. A survivor player like you will probably know how to run around some killer. Acknowledge that possibility and with your knowledge exploit it.
Tip 5: While it seems simple, don't break every pallet. There are a lot of unsafe pallets in this game.
Killers to start with:
Honestly if you are new to killer, start with the basics. If you start with complex killer, you will learn skills that will make it difficult to pick up other killer.
Trapper for Set-Up Killers
Perks:
- Nurse's Calling
- Save the Best for Last
- Infectious Fright
- Corrupt Intervention
Tracker needs time to set up his network, so use ruin or corrupt to slow down the early game. Infectious fright and Save the best for last compliment each other for quick downs. Finally, Nurse's Calling will help track people injured by traps.
Wraith for Stealth Killers
Perks:
- Thantaphobia
- Nurse's Calling
- Pop Goes the Weasel
- BBQ and Chili, Enduring, or Whispers
Wraith has several functions, but hit and run tactics are best. Get another tracking perk and Nurse's Calling to located area people are in and then accurately predict their location when cloaked. Thantaphobia will slow down the game and Pop will slow it even more with the easy downs.
Bubba or Billy for 1 Down Killers
Perks:
- Spirit Fury
- BBQ and Chili
- Enduring
- Billy: Make your Choice Bubba: Pop Goes the Weasel
Many people will utilize pallets to stop the automatic down. By utilizing Spirit Fury you turn that against them. Enduring will also help you if you get stunned. Billy is high mobility so you can utilizing bbq and chili for quick 1 shot downs. For Bubba, you can kill multiple survivors at once and see if people are grouped together. Finally, make your choice on billy is a fail safe because good survivors can juke a chainsaw. Zoom over and just use your hammer to down someone. For Bubba, you want to slow down the game.
Huntress for Ranged Killers
Perks:
- BBQ and Chili
- Corrupt Intervention
- Nurses Calling
- Whispers
This is the standard Huntress build. Her lethality is extreme, but due to her slow move speed, you need to slow down the game for the first few minutes and need to be able to track.
Doctor for Chase based/anti looping Killers
Perks:
- Overcharge
- Distressing
- Hunter's Lullaby
- Unnerving Presence
This build will severely screw over any gen progress and you can focus on putting people in madness and chases. It is the impossible skill check build.
While there are more interesting killers, once you learn these killers, you will be able to transfer to other killers in their categories.
-
There are a lot of unknowns, so I will list factors I consider at the start of the game.
- Where are all the gens located? If there 3 or 4 gens in a specific location, I will patrol their first. If the survivor is leading me away from that and I know other people are in the area, I will leave them. If not, I will down them. I accept that gens will be done, but if the survivors are closing themselves in and sacrificing strong loops, that is a win for me and I will commit.
- What is around the jungle gym? Is this a stand alone tile with one pallet or can you easily chain it? If it is easily chained and not in the gen location I am trying to protect, I will leave it. If it is not easily chained and I can get a quick down I will most likely stay. If it is easily chained and in a gen area I want to control, I will definitely stay. Staying will allow me to eliminate some pallets that will benefit survivors late game.
- Are there other people around? If there is no indication that other people are around, and the are going to an area I don't want to protect, and they have chainable tiles, then I won't chase. If they don't have chainable tiles, I will probably chase. If there are other people around, I will chase. Most matches survivors spawn together, which means there is a likelihood of others being here.
- What killer am I playing? You said M1 killer but that means different things to different people. If the killer is a chase/loop killer, then I will stay no matter what because I can get a quick down. If it is a power up or set up killer and all three above things aren't in my favor I would leave it. At least you can guess where one person is and come back to them.
-
I have had a lot of these moments both as survivor and as killer.
The recent ones I have had were when I played Pig and went against Pig.
Coal Tower was where I was Kate and the Killer was Pig. Teammates went down pretty fast, but was looping the pig really well. At one point, I jumped into a locker and the pig just looked at the locker. I went out of the locker and we both just crouched and stared at each other. We then started walking around each other and then she left. Got two gens done and the rest of my team died. Waited at the door to power it when she closed the hatch. She closed it and found me. I stopped powering it and just crouched down to meet her. I nodded my head saying that I was willing to die. She then mentioned to follower her and we just crouched mapped for a while. She ultimately let me go. It was good fun.
I was pig playing in Hospital. Got someone down right away and they proceeded to dc on me. I went through the game killing 2 other survivors, but when the last one was hiding in the corner near the gate. I just crouched with her and walked her to the gate. We added each other on Switch afterwards and had a good laugh. Happened two other times and let the last survivor in each of those matches go as well. Even led one to the hatch and allowed him to pallet slam me.

Thanks so much for the tip. Do you have any other tips im trying to get better as survivor?
Before working on tricks, figure out some of the following.
Are you going to be a stealthy survivor or a risky survivor? This will affect a lot of the decisions you make in the game and how you interact with other players.
Determine what your role in the team is. What are you good at? What are you bad at? 4 Roles listed below.
- Objective: How good are you at getting generators done and hitting all of your skill checks.
- Surviving: Actively not getting hooked and staying away from the killer.
- Aulturistic: Getting hook saves and healing other survivors.
- Bold: Surviving in chases with a killer and looping appropriately.
Once you have perfected one area, work on perfecting the others. It is important to have a well rounded approach and then you can utilize the role that is needed in your team.
Know how to position your camera to ensure optimal decision making when in chase.
Begin to recognize timing. This improves over time. When do you go for a save, when do you work on a gen, who is in chase.
Also, know when you need to go down for a teammate who is on their last hook.
My perk list that I use extensively has Spine Chill and Empathy. I usually know where the killer is at all times and it helps my time considerably.
Once you figure out your playstyle, utilize your perks to either capitalize on it or fill in your bad spots. If you want to talk about your playstyle with me, I can suggest some perks.

@notstarboard the Bleed Out Timer is highlighted by a bright red pulsing outline on the HUD when it's paused. Same as when a survivor is being unhooked :)
Yeah. As a killer when slugging, I occasionally check back on the HUD bar to see if a survivor is healing. If things are taking too long I will go back and just hook to not lose pressure.
As a survivor, when I see someone hasn't recovered and the killer is still around, I will leave them and take my chances for an unhook.
There are too many times as killer that I have hit a survivor healing someone else.

That’s how i see it as well.
but then there is no clear definition of toxic behavior and it’s really subjective. Some people just don’t see waiting at gates as toxic because it doesn’t harm anyone and match will end due to EGC. (Not my opinion but I can see the reason behind it)
I would agree with that. I think it is different waiting at the gate if their people that are in the map who haven't escaped. I think some killers view that as toxic, when it is just ensuring their teammates survival. I think if you know everyone is safe and are intentionally bming the killer, that when its like ehhhhhh probably not ok.
It is true though. Toxic behaviors are subjective.

But that’s exactly what survs are told to do when they complain about killers playing in a disrespectable way.
why don’t we treat both sides the same?
I think both sides exhibit toxic behaviors and they shouldn't. I would want the killer to change their behavior too if they are intentionally being a dick. You don't need to be a dick to win the game on either side. You also don't need to rub it in other people's face if you win.

They want to start a band.

All these people saying just hit them out, don't go over and watch them, do something else doesn't really address the issue that people are being dicks. We shouldn't have to force people to just ignore it. It shouldn't happen in general and it should be up to the survivors to change their behavior and not the killer.

I don't think that you need to count dead survivors in the Thantaphobia penalty. Survivors are already receiving a penalty in the fact that you removed a teammate from the map. That seriously cuts down options and repair speed. I agree that it would be too oppressive on a team.
IMO, Thantaphobia is fine where it is.

I think it is very interesting when these conversations come up. It leads to me checking my own bias as someone who plays both sides equally and well. I need to remind myself that when I don't escape and don't get a 4k that I can be mad. However, I am also not entitled to escape or get a 4k every time.
If you are having problem with killer look at the following things.
How well do you loop?
How well do you track?
What perks and add ons do you have?
What is gen placement at the beginning of the game and what gens are you willing to lose to keep pressure? We need to realize as killer that we will lose gens during the match. I don't even bother seriously guarding the two upper gens in Hawkins because I know that they will go during the map and that they actually put survivors in a worse position by making the gens closer together.
Just some thoughts
