Nurse requires a time investment and skill, she can be horribly punished for missing. She is crazy deadly for someone who knows how to use her.

THIS, RIGHT HERE IS A PRIME EXAMPLE! I recently got out of a match with a nurse, Infectious fright + BBQ. Only two perks she carried. She slugged us all and went HARD into the paint. We all failed at 4 gens but instead of being pissed, I was kinda relieved. That's a Killer right there who put in time & effort to get where he and or she's been.

  • @TheGhostofZgor said:

Escaping should be a challenge and rewarding. The killers should be overpower and scary and you should have to be carful how you play as a survivor to avoid and escape. You shouldn’t have time or the confidence to troll the killer. I’m convinced this is why killers are being tryhards, tunneling and camping so much. There’s been a dynamic shift.

(yes I just had a string of REALLY bad troll games)

ps: I know I’m gonna get some serious crap for this.

I honestly have a hard time believing you came on here and said that. Even if you made the Killer look more like horrifying creatures from the abyss, I'm 90% I'd take that more as a joke than scary. The scary factor went missing the moment people got used to the game or didn't exist at all if they've LIVED to play horror games if not many others.

I can't agree with you on Killers being OP either because as they are, I see the game as 'Somewhat' Balanced. Despite the toxicity on both sides which are equally deserved depending on what person goes through whatever Match. Killers winning all the time would just Kill DBD as a whole cause that would mean survivors would have to SWEAT for everything and no one wants that. Literally. If you tip the scale too far, everything will come crumbling down all because you had a bad day with matches and didn't know when to quit.

Killing Survivors and Doing gens should be equally as hard, not a flick of your wrist, you're halfway across the map throwing after tonic potions followed up with yeeting a hatchet. Not how things work, you should know that. If you want to play god, go play a sandbox game.

  • I mean some people here make a fair point, should've just stayed and let the mori animation play out. My only good reason for why i DC'd was because he slugged me and no one came to pick me up; at all. for 2 GENS MIND YOU. Could've at least help me and taken a hit but they just left me there.

    It's whatever though.

I don't mean to play but to verse. Like mine is without a doubt Ghostface. I just can't counter him, I go down in 5 seconds like a noob. Next to him is Deathslinger, I can't dodge shots no matter if I zig zag so good flicking slingers destroy me but at least I last a bit longer than with Ghostie lol But anyway, I digress. Which killer are you the weakest playing against and could improve on?

The Tricky and Freddy the annoyance. Frankly, I can counter almost every killer but for me, it's those two right there. Those are at the TOP of my hitlist. Freddy because of his dream pallet and the trickster because of his annoying knives that always seem to hit. Dodging them is like dodging the plague's vomit but even THAT i can do. Unlike the plague and Trickster; one ends, the other one seems to be endless and that's on honesty.

Freddy just annoys me because he has two powers instead of just one. I'd understand just dream snares or if he could JUST teleport to generators but he has both of them and put them together with a perk; you've got a Low-skill ceiling, high-reward, no-brain annoyance.

So, playing Lery's yesterday, the survivors are being super-immersive. Two gens go by and I'm struggling to find anyone.

Eventually find a Nea, and down she goes. I put her up on the hook in one of the long bathrooms.

No sooner had I left the room, she gets unhooked, so obviously I head back (had zero idea where anyone else was and there were at least two survivors by definition right nearby) and who runs into me... Nea! OK, you want a BT smack and it builds up my STBFL so OK... she gets smacked, and down she goes.

I've no idea where the rescuer went, no scratches, checked a couple of lockers, nothing. So I decide to DS test Nea - changing the obsession is good so I can smack the rescuer safely in case they were the obsession. She doesn't have it... so up on the same hook she goes.

On the way out of the bathroom now I see the scratches, and follow them... and lo and behold it's a would-be rescuer, Zarina. Chase them down and literally grab them as they were unhooking, and the game did this weird bug where I had grabbed them, but the unhook also happened?? So Nea is literally standing in front of the hook blocking it, so smacked her again and down she goes.

Zarina goes up on the hook, and I take the opportunity to put Nea up too (another two gens had gone in this time so down to 1 gen now)... Nea is dead, and Zarina is rescued whilst I was taking her to hook.

The rest of the game plays out and is several minutes of hide-and-seek, eventually they all die because of reasons.

In the end game chat, Nea is still around and immediately cries "tunnelling..."

    Like, seriously?

    1) She got unhooked unsafely as soon as I started walking away

    2) She ran straight into me... maybe she didn't see which way I went because of the hooking animation taking over, but at least follow the rescuer then if you don't know?

    3) She got unhooked second time literally in front of the killer (I grabbed the rescuer)

    4) She didn't run/move at all after being unhooked and was blocking the hook, despite no BT and no DS (maybe she was stuck because of a bug in what happened, but she didn't mention that)

These are all survivor misplays in my book, but the cognitive dissonance for survivors is so overwhelming that it seems to convince them survivors can do no wrong and everything must be the killer's fault.

    Why??

As a Survivor Main? I say you did nothing wrong, the players were just incompetent and that's on genuine honesty. The Nea was being complacent for not following the rescuer not to mention even more of a fool for going in YOUR direction. That's why we pay attention to everything, that and or run spine chill to avoid the killer at all costs.

You didn't tunnel AT. ALL, you just played properly. Whether nea intentionally BT Body blocked or got stuck, which i highly doubt; there's no such glitch where you could get stuck on a hook between that and a killer otherwise i think at least 5% of us would've ran into it and would've been patched long ago.

In short, the incompetent, unattentive complacent team got stomped rightfully so. End of story.

(Sorry if i came off harsh, that was just brutal honesty. I don't know why survivor's complain for a loss that was properly earned. Unless the Killer camped, Tunneled, slugged or was genuinely toxic from the start, there's no room for complaining. Period.)

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

It depends a lot on the killer you're facing. Stealth killers and Spirit love it, Demogorgon makes good use out of his portals and Pyramid of his cages, Twins can easily bodyblock whole sections of the map, Trapper and Hag can control areas easily, but it probably sucks for everyone else.

Eh, that makes sense enough along with everyone else's comments but most i've seen is downs within 2 -3 minutes. Very concerning. A lot of killers have good control over it if used correctly; but if not, tough ######### to that killer. I KNOW for a fact though a lot of killers can make it work.

  • @GannTM said:

How does a map thats huge give killers too much control?

Huge or not, you'd be surprised how fast your team would fall. It's not even that big, it'd the matter that the hallways and sporadic areas make it easy for killers to control. (pause, in a match.)

  • @TacitusKilgore said:

Not much has changed, A few new killers, some perk changes and buffs here and there, but the games mostly the same as it was 6 months ago. Only difference is DS was nerfed, Some survivors look better/worse now, and we have a mildly attractive korean man as a killer.

Heard about him, the trickster right? Eh. Not his biggest fan. He's rather powerful and doesn't need to mind game to spam his knifes and easily get you into the injured state. The only time he needs to mind game when he'd out of them or feels like it. I like the pressure he gives, dont like his music or his currently abilities.

Personally I feel Lithe is better than sprint burst cause sprint burst sets off any time you run and is easy to waste.

Fair point, might use the shrine to get lithe since I'm not the biggest fan of feng min, but if I need too; bloodpoints for the blood god!

  • @Anniehere said:

    Welcome back.

Nothing has changed much since then, i guess.

Resident Evil got released and brought major issues like lag spikes, crashes and map problems as well. A few maps are disabled right now due to some bugs that needs to be fixed. Léry's Memorial Institute map got a nice rework, i think they updated the textures.

Stridor and Iron will has changed, now Iron Will will stay silent 100% against Stridor. means Spirit and Nurse can't hear you even when running Stridor.

Leon and Jill brought some nice perks but these perks are mostly to blind the killer. Flash Bang and Blast Mine.

Flash Bang is used while in the chase or for the save instead of the flashlight. Blast Mine is a trap for the killer who is about to kick a gen.

When you kick a gen you are going to get blinded for a few seconds.

These days some survivors use Blast Mine and Repressed Alliance. You kick a gen, got blinded and the survivor quickly going back to the gen to activate Repressed Alliance, completly blocking you from kicking that gen for another 30 seconds or so.

If you play against Nemesis, he is anti chase. be careful when you are vaulting and where he is trying to mind game you.

He can force you to run near a zombie to hit you down, always plan ahead before the chase and look around you.

    -

I think all the perks is basically the same meta as before.

People are just more creative with perks for certain situations.

    -

If no one has told you this yet or you don't know,

Wraith got a buff, he is very speedy now and with his pink add on he can be insane. Be careful against him and avoid his body block.

Thanks for the tip, I recently saw thr new map and in honesty? I dont like it. Laggy, frame drop and it's killer sided instead of balanced, it gives the killer FAR too much control and easy hits with narrow hallways and long corridors. It screams 'BRIND DEAD HARD OR SPRINT BURST' which since I'm gonna max out meg, Claudy, Jake and nea? Sprint burst is on the table.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

Oh, Wraith is the new Freddy. They gave him Windstorm base kit and all the tunneling Freddy players have switched to Wraith after Freddy got his add-ons nerfed.

no offense, but about goddamn time. God, now I see less freddies. Finally! Wraith for me should be easy to handle despite the fact I'm rusty and learning new controls. Thanks!

  • Then why did you bother to respond at all? If you can't take the backlash of your own ignorance, you're what is wrong with this community. You and your entitlement.

  • @Yords said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2128377#Comment_2128377

No I don't. I don't think sprint burst is as bad as dead hard because sprint burst isn't solely used for evading the killer. If you are using SB effectively, you shouldn't always have it ready to use when the killer comes by. It is used to save you time when running around the map such as running to a hooked survivor, an injured survivor (to heal), and work on generators. If you are using the perk correctly, then you should always be exhausted, meaning you only use it once or maybe twice to evade the killer. If you are always walking around to save it for those times, you aren't using it properly.

Who are you to decide how people should use SB or DH? You sound like a Karen/Kyle and that's frankly disgusting. SB is better off being used to escape a killer and extend the chase for a good while instead of running around like a chicken without a head. That's how I played my meg half the time and guess what? That saved me a lot of losses. Using SB like that leaves one huge trail that's unnecessary, easily making you and open target or running you flat into traps/Stealth killers.

All of this depends on the person's play style, DH takes to a more confrontal stance as Said in David King's background story, he likes the challenge. You act like you dont know this already for a 'Veteran player.' Meg can ALSO be played aggressively but she's actually a stealth main as for told in HER backstory. The play style is literally given to you if you pay attention to character's, their perks, descriptions and BG'S and yet here you are raving as if the world was dying.

You are not to decide how people should run their perks, You're not god. It's the same entitlement to a 4K and 'Free hit EZ.' That annoys me about killer mains. I guarantee you, I've pulled off crazier Shmt then people with a dead hard.

Exhibit A - I made a mistake on a pallet against a ghostface but my exhaustion was almost up so I literally walked for 2 - 3 seconds to let him believe he could hit me and sprint bursted my vss to a safer pallet at the shack. From there, I managed to outsmart his mind games and keep him on me for the entire game.

It comes down to how and when it's used that makes the perk powerful not the 'Lol. Weave.' Part. You literally let the entire thing go over your head while you're asking for perk nerfs for survivors and buffs for killers because 'survivors have it better.' They dont. It's call having skill and judgement on when to use and when to not use it. If you can learn that, dont call yourself a veteran cause even veteran's know when they're beat.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk. 🙄

  • I also heard about the new killer coming up, anything with him?

  • @Mr_K said:

How is the PC version more toxic? Hide the chat and set your profile to Friends Only. Fixed.

I've heard horror stories from console (xbox) players where they get reported and ban from other games. You won't have that issue on Steam.

Keyboard and mouse for killer. If you find controller easier for survivor go ahead and use it.

Bug fixes? How long have you played DBD?

2 - 3 years, every so often I lileave and come back to perk/killer nerfs, buffs, and irrelevant bug fixes.

Like the ruin nerf which obviously changed meta a little more (When ruin changed from actively working on gens will make it regress to leaving a gen will make it regress.)

Safety net? You are aware they've been nerfed to have almost no effect on gameplay right?

Greens and Reds only work if the survivor is on death hook, and the yellow only works on the last survivor.

I see zero reasons why updating and giving killers more kill animations would be a bad thing.

Yeah, and usually that leads to tunneling. Safety net. They get a kill for tunneling.

I’m getting really bored of playing killer, chasing survivors away from a generator, only for them to go right back to it forcing me to have to chase them away again. They just keep tunnelling the generator until it is completed and it’s frankly toxic, anti-fun behaviour. Please try to make the game fun for everyone involved and spread your repairs around all the generators evenly. Thank you.

    A. Thats called gen-rushing.

    B. Want survs not to gen rush? Apply more pressure. They have to go back because you've likely kicked it and or running ruin/ PGTW.

    C. New flash, we have to get gens done to escape. Do you expect us to spawn in the game and walk up to you just to give you free kills? 🙄🤚

  • How bout no? Mori's are already safety nets for killers as is. The yellow green and red are the perfect "Oh, I get to tunnel because you saved someone." This is the simplest way to get hella survivors down your back because Killers get to pick and choose which moei they want to play. Getting mori'd is already bad enough, having more of them or having killers get to pick favorite's is worse.

  • @MrsPuddles said:

I think the most annoying builds I’ve faced are a Huntress with Iridescent Head / Infantry Belt, Devour Hope / Undying and an Ebony Mori. And an entire SWF using WGLF, Soul Guard, Dead Hard and No Mither. 😂

No offense but i've ran into several huntresses who did this and I swear, I made one of those killers SO TILTED I had them on me for half the game.

Lowkey, if I run into anyone that does this I just do my best to be as toxic as possible because that ruins the point of the iridescent drawback and gives you one shot. I ran loops around them, baited them, stunned and teabagged every time she missed her hatchet throw or got stunned by me. To avoid the bloodlust, I evaded her for a set amount of time and kept going; right when we got exit gates open, i had narrowly just escaped an M1 Via Dead hard and then my teammates body blocking for me (she wasted her last hatchet before I got to the exit gate). Funniest shmt EVER.

Obviously, I've never toxic unless I predict a build that says "No fun game for you." And thats one of them. If you intend to make the game boring, I'll make game as enraging and as annoying as possible for you and that match was 0.000001% chance to ever run a killer for that long. I'm NEVER pulling that off again, lmao.

Perks: Ruin, BBQ, Popgoes, Undying. Soo, KEKKKEK.

Edit v1: had some grammatical errors.

  • Lmao. Something else Survivors caused, what's new. Tl;dr killers complained about spots they couldn't reach on the map.

Why not let the Plague see the aura of every object that is infected? Maybe even auto infect things she interacts with, like vaulting windows and kicking gens.

I think that would give survivors all the incentive to cleanse.

So basically old Freddy but worse? No, i'm good. Dont need the PTSD of that one again, and if you're not aware of what I mean by old Freddy (which I think you do but imma say it anyways) I mean, when you were in Freddy's dream world; he could see you at all times giving the incentive to leave the DreamWl world before he got to you. The plan your suggesting is tantamount to what he had before and i'd rather not live through that, thanks.

  • @Rivyn said:

How the hell do you think Gideon's is 'killer sided?' Nearly every pallet is safe, with a clear view on the killer on most loops. Most killers have to power through them to get any breathing room. Additionally, the upper floor is almost completely opened up. You can see the killer coming from half the map away.

Kindly look at the last part of my opening post. Sorry about that.

  • @tenoresax said:

We've been relegated back to nerfed pop/bbq with almost nothing to compensate, we HAVE to play sweaty to win.

And don't try to tell me Ruin Undying was "unhealthy" and "uncounterable" when DS Unbreakable has been a thing for years.

I've made mention on this on another discussion but i'll say it here for you to remember.

Winning =/= Sweating or try harding

Winning =/= always getting 4 hooks

    Winning =/= Pipping & or getting a 4K

Winning =/= Playing competitively against people who dont.

These sentences can be used against survivors as well but in this circumstance, its directed at killers.

  • For the record, people keep saying Gideon is survivor sided. I made a side note saying "I see that now." I used to think otherwise but Gideon has so many survivor sides things. That was an Ignorant statement on my part, I was typing my current thoughts on situation we're all in.

I see no need to sweat AT ALL. Ya know? But when survivors wanna sweat, it's an issue; but this time you guys started it. Smh

  • @OmegaXII said:

Are you trolling? Do you really think clown was fine? He is not fine even with the updates.

HUD is not a new thing. The old HUD shows your name anyway. If the killer wants to tunnel you, you’ll get tunnelled regardless the HUD.

About the hit validation, it will be fixed definitely. It’s just another nasty bug that BhVR manages to make it into live game.

As for the maps, The Game is getting even more god pallets. Not to mention all breakable walls that wastes killer’s time. So it’s definitely not favoring killers.

Also, devs just nerfed the best killer meta undying. Im not sure how this favours killers.

Hah, I wish I was but im very dead serious. Not sure what the whole undying meta nerf is about, I ran into several killers after this was posted and they still their kills with the freaking hexes still up. I'm confused?

I am sorry but i dont think a person who says that Freddy has no counterplay can comment on this topic

Dont play yourself. Freddy has no counterplay, you obviously dont know what your talking about if you think the nurse is better then a Freddy.

  • I can and can't agree, the nurse is powerful but there are counter plays to her games. Her perks like stridor/Phobia/Nurse calling makes it hard to heal or hide but she's actually easy to predict.

Her blink ability make her movements extremely linear, it's only her chain blinking that's an issue. If you can predict where she's going, which is completely possible, you can predict the chain blink and eventually the lunge attack.

As an example, if you see her getting ready to use her power; get ready to move and make your movements unpredictable so that she'll burn through thr blinks and force the cooldown. Then again, this is just me but i'm finding it easier and easier to loop killers day by day. The nurse has counterplay and is loopable so I trust you can do it as well. All you need to do is pay attention

Let's not make unnecessary changes to a killer that doesn't need them.

How close are you talking about? Most Killers have a terror radius of 24-32 meters (combined with distressing which increases their terror radius).

Also what about smaller/indoor maps? If these changes were a thing Killers would be penalized for not even camping.

Orrr, Bubba's could stop camping the hook with noed and expecting a 4k. Never happening. This is a well deserved change. If your gonna face camp hook cause your a walking one shot, i'm gonna propose an idea that's going to MAKE you try. Either we remove noed and force killers to not play a crutch perk or we rework his one shot move that only takes a tap of a button to use.

There's no git gud option if no one can save or you take you off the hook. It's detrimental to everyone because the killer learns its horrible strat buts keeps doing it and the survivors are forced to take an L because the bubba couldnt stand to chase people like any other decent killer.

Dont dwell in the basement with insidious, dont face camp, dont use noed and, dont spam the chainsaw; easy, right?

  • LMAOOOOOOOOO, you got mad you didnt even even pip and one of the survivors survived? Lmao. This just the burning definition of a snowflake, sorry but imma just be blunt, get over it. Thr fact you even had noed makes you stand out as a crutch killer.

Why does every killer think fun is playing competitively and when they dont get a 4 k they get mad and leave DBD in total. that is something i'll never understand.

Other then that I think you did good, I get matches like that too (but I play survivor) its just a matter of moving on.

So you're saying Bubba should be Legion WITHOUT the speed increase?

Whatever you see it as, we could always just remove noed as a whole or add the second part of my idea

  • @Skullgrind said:

...it's because of you. You are the problem. You are the reason the state of gameplay is what it is. It's all fun and games until there is nobody left to play Killer. Don't forget.

Just gonna address this here and now, if you DC, that's either a skill issue, RQ or your GENUINELY having a bad time. Usually, its the first 2.

If you DC because you spent half the game chasing a survivor who keeps stunning and looping you and all the gens are popping, here's an idea. Walk away or get better. There's nothing more I can say about that. In that scenario it's a situation of better judgement or just 'Git Gud' which disgusts me when I say it because I hate it when it's said to me. Sorry for the hypocritical statement but this one actually has some merit to it. There are counter plays called mind games but you know what I mean.

If you lobby dodge (which I count as a form of DC) because you saw a Claudette with a key or toolbox/ you saw more than one toolbox, map or key; it's called play the damn game and stop whining. You can only learn if you play and eevading a match that could help you learn easy ways around that is complete stupidity.

If you don't want to get nor attract toxic players or get hated on, dont bring Moris to toolboxes or keys. bring franklin and dont lobby dodge. There are so many scenarios I can play out that'd not only invalidate this statement but your mindset as well. If you wanna have a fun time then give the survivors a good time, stay on the ball and if you get T-bagged, get over it; it's not the end of the world. If you get stunned, get over it, your not gonna die.

The harsh reality of this situation literally chalks up to survivors and killers need to stop being snowflakes. Although it seemed like I mainly targeted Killers, i'll surely ridicule survivors for pulling the same BS to make the game unfun for killers.

If you call this game unfun because "wahhh I didnt get a sacrifice I dunt wanna plawwyy" then remember this statement.

    Fun =/= Agressive/Competitive play.

Tried to make do with what i had, i didn't camp, i didn't tunnel.

I rarely play killer for this same reason, cause i'm trying to learn, and you never know what you'll be matched up with, i try and get good perks, even dumping points from survivor to killer. But it doesn't matter.

Don't take this the wrong way but thr moment I saw nord, I literally could not defend you. In the true one of things, that match sucked; I know that. However, not getting a sacrifice really isn't all that, I swear its not.

Here's an idea, Drop noed and replace it with BBQ or Pop. The more you know where your potential hooks are. The better.

Edit: also replace monitor, it's a literal joke. Put it with nurses calling or sloppy butcher to make it easier to see who's healing who and harder to heal.

  • I recently started playing my Claudette to get her perks on my bloodweb and also try to main her. Least to say, my first interaction with my Claudette was a face camping noted Bubba. Thankfully, I was never downed but he QUITE LITERALLY stared at my teammates for hours on end until the Quit on the hook, that being they just sushicided. I ended up escaping via the exit gates and rightfully so.

Bubba needs a rework with his chain saw and I propose that we remove the "Lol, no." Chain-saw tactic. Meaning, whenever he uses Hus chainsaw, he doesn't instantly down people, instead they either get the ddeep wound status or the injuries status. I also propose we nerf his speed whenever he's using the chainsaw so Bloodlust+ any add on makes it easier to close distance and down them again.

Or the simplest option could be to remove noed completely or implement a design that literally makes the killer go away. Like the entity won't show up if your terror radius is near them; same thing for stealth killers and insidious won't bypass it either. Or another idea is that it literally gives takes away their bloodpoints for camping thus inciting the idea that camping = no rank, no blood points or no sacrifice.

Anyone can play spirit and 4K easily. She can know exactly where you are at all times if you are injured and there is no counterplay for survivors.

Iron will doesn't counter spirit. Scottjund proved this.

Spirit is nurse with training wheels

Lmao, okay: the spirit has easy counter play, it's literally called **Stop running** Like you do with every killer to avoid leaving scratch marks and or blood trails. I've looped countless Spirits because they attempted to find me with yamoka's haunting not to mention Urban evasion them or literally blendetted. She can apply pressure but you DEFINETELY need skill to even think you have shot at maining ghost girl.

To chalk it up, learn better counterplay and pay attentjon. To there movements; it's crucial.

  • Getting rid of totems, You know those spots survivors can never reach or those perks that make it impossible to get rid of the totems because the killer is notified of it when you try?

  • Eh, if your facing off against a looper; walk away, it's not worth it. Or Break the pallet or wait for them to use up the vaulting spaces and abuse bloodlust. There's no in between on this one; if you want to stop a loop, stop it at the source.

  • Dont want desicive strike? Dont tunnel and dont camp. Simple. That's an anti-tunneling perk, it was only exploited further by people who thought it was funny. It's really that simple, honestly.

  • Not a fan of learning a whole other side of DBD Just to have fun. I used to but that didnt get me very far and I didnt enjoy chasing as much as I did running away and looping killers; it just doesn't give that same thrill.

Do you honestly think that Freddy is better than Nurse or Spirit?

Yes. Yes I do. Have you seen ANY nurses recently? Because in the past 3 days i've played, i've seen NONE! Either meaning she got nerfed into the ground or the meta has shifted. Likely the first option. And again, of that spirit isn't carrying stridor, she's useless. The amount of times i've blendetted a spirit, looped and abused her yamoka's haunting without stridor compared to when she did have it are extravagantly vast.

What, are you shocked or in disappointment/belief that a player doesn't believe in the fact two killers aren't better then the P2W Freddy? You might as well not bd because thats just how I see it.

Freddy is not pay to win. Nurse is free and Spirit you can get with shards, both of them are better than Freddy.

I hate to break it to you mate, but just because you don't like Freddy doesn't mean he's going to get removed from the game.

Easiest way to negate your whole statement; the nurse is not freddy nor has the amount of oppressive ability he does. She CAN be oppressive but using the nurse as a comparison to freddy doesnt work out; he ECLIPSES HER by as massive mile.

The nurses chain blinking is easy to counter because she moves inba linear fashion and her hit range isn't ridiculous.

The spirit is irrelevant because she can't teleport, she phases and can't see ANYTHING; which is usable by both players. Only thing she can see is blood/running marks which means if you have an ability that literally negates that, she's useless; minus stridor which let's her HEAR through yamoka's haunting; now that's broken but playable.

Freddy on the other hand can directly to to a gen pop it and leave without any problem; he can spam dream pallets and snares making life a hell for anyone. He has 2 M2 abilities compared to everyone else and those two m2 abilities can be used in so many ways it's ridiculous.

If you're trying to compare the spirit or the nurse to freddy, you'll be sorely mistaken because there skill ceilings are VASTLY different.

  • What people fail to realize is that Freddy IS P2W, You have to get him via using actual money to unlock said DLC; not to mention his skill ceiling is ridiculously low; he needs to be removed or a COMPLETE rework; not a nerf. The nerf will just raise the ceiling but it won't fix the issue.

This wouldn't have happened if the devs thought about how broken Freddy could be in an instant. Muchless how they designed him. I'd rather go against a tombstone hair tufted myers then play against him because at least with myers; it takes awhile for him to get to tier 3 and that's only if your teammates are really incompetent.

I keep getting teammates who ARE competent and know what's up when facing a freddy; you may get a warning BEFORE he shows up to the generator but that doesn't mean jack shmt if he's just there to smack your gen, look for you or give up and go back to the person he Hooked

Think of this scenario, the fewddy is carrying tinkerer, ruin, PGTW and deerstalker; He manages to down a survivor in a 10 second chase, hooks them near a regressing gen and pops your gen; doesn't even look for you and just goes back to the hooked survivor to slug/camp and down the others. Thats the easiest gen 4 I See happening and guess what, that did happen to me. The rest of the game, the other survivor got slugged, the one that got Hooked got off and downed again, both of them get hooked and he showed up to my gen and pops it, finds me and chases me off; downs me, Slugs again via teleporting to a nearby gen towards the survivors who just got unhooked (who were in the middle of healing ):and tunnels the both of them and downs the last survivor. From that point on, we were all hooked with ease and had only gotten a single generator done.

Do you see how broken he is? Thats down right OPRESSIVE and this scenario was just over 4 days ago; this is one of the main factors I hate about freddy.

context: almost 800 hours in this game, rank 1 on both killer and survivor and play both often.

This is the first time I've experienced a game where you need hundreds of hours before you even enter the territory of potentially becoming mediocre, and then thousands for being eligible for even being good, and then multiply that for actually being good. And I'm more or less talking exclusively about chases here such as looping, not pretty much sitting on gens or being in a swf and escaping and thus "winning".

From my perspective at least, the average survivor is very mediocre at best, more often than not (including in red ranks) worse than that. And I think a lot of people, killer mains and veterans included, can attest to that, but I never see an actual explanation as to why. And from what I gather, the skill ceiling for being a good survivor in terms of looping seems so unrealistically high, which is why few people achieve it. A killer can be mediocre, but they have powers, game functions them out, particularly meta ones. Bloodlust, basically generally any anti-loop killer, so on. Survivors really only have their exhaustion perks and it only works once in chase, and when I play killer it tends to not really get them that far in the grand scheme of things, even Dead Hard (although it is annoying when used right).

Unlike playing killer, the practice isn't linear for survivor. There are plenty of people who only play a handful of killers, and there's no mandate to play a diversity of them. For example there are Nurse mains with thousands of hours on her, and pretty much only play her. In the games they encounter they have the linear practice of being used to how survivors play against a Nurse. The techniques and whatnot that work on other killers is irrelevant. For survivors there is no linear practice and you constantly are going back and forth between killers in a random order, and many with a totally different playstyle and you have to basically be prepared on how to skillfully play in 23 different ways, as everyone has at the very least their own powers and no two are the same. Videos on how to get better at survivor aren't really helpful in my experience either, as from what I notice it comes down to being in the right place at the right time and knowing where to go and how to basically minmax your movement and be precise. Playing killer you do have to know where to go when you mindgame, but for the most part it's just going where you see survivors and/or think they are, and not needing to position yourself. On top of this, resources have RNG on top of RNG. You have variations of a variation of a given map, making it difficult to tell precisely where things are in chase. But forget what I said about looping because of how many killers this game designs where it just deletes out the resources survivors have. Deathslinger, Pyramid head, spirit, huntress, nurse, so on. So many other killers included that have no reasonable counter on the survivor's side other than simply "don't get found"/"don't get hit" but yet these killers just remove the only two resources you had to work with to begin with. And even when there is counter it's all about being in the right place at the right time and being so precise about your movement. Personally, when I play killer, I make a lot more mistakes than when I play survivor, and it's not nearly as punishing, even in red ranks. But apparently that's just me, but playing killer and winning is 1000% so much easier than survivor in terms of mindgaming in chase. Which is why I think a mediocre killer wins more on average than a team of mediocre survivors, especially if it's a strong one like Freddy or Spirit.

The only advice I see is to "git gud" but I'm sorry I don't feel like investing thousands of hours into something that has such RNG value and that just seems so poorly designed on one end. Playing more doesn't help. Youtube videos don't help. Recording and watching your own feedback doesn't help not one bit. And it's just tiresome and boresome that this game is so demanding to even be competent at it. It makes playing survivor, particularly in solo queue, miserable, and am pretty much at the point now where I'm just don't want to play it anymore since I find killer to be boring but unfortunately my friends ask me to play this game and we have no other game in common until Back To Blood comes out so I thought I would try one last time before I just seclude myself to only playing this game with friends.

Looping isn't all that hard! I thought of it the same way and thought it was impossible to do but I got some tips for you. If you lose in a match spectate survivors who are still alive and see how they loop; Espeically in SWF or in A new SWF.

One of the ways I loop is by turning my camara with the movement of my character so that my eyes are on the killer and getting ready to mindgame them. Dont be trigger happy to throw down a pallet, mindgame them by moving left and right to make your next direction unpredictable. Usually when your at the pallets, it's predictable but you never know.

Here's another piece of advice! Dont ALWAYS go for stuns, just throw down a pallet when you feel like it's time; this way you're not taking a complete risk at getting hurt while the stun is happening, which is plausible. Mainly, you should observe other players and how they loop and apply it to your own. That's the way I learned and i'm still learning new ways to loop and evade killers.

Yeah, in civilized circles calling someone ignorant is considered an insult. The fact that you don't understand that says more about you than it does anyone you choose to judge. I notice you completely ignored my suggestion that you address what exactly is broken about Freddy that isn't also broken about any other high mobility Killer with access to those same Perks. I also notice you did not give us any constructive suggestions to go along with your demand for a Nerf. I don't know if you have noticed, but you aren't exactly winning over any hearts or minds. Freddy is a highly effective Killer. However, I don't think you have demonstrated that he is anymore effective than any of the high mobility Killers that would use the exact same Perks. And again, you haven't offered any of YOUR ideas to fix things. Is that because you know once you do that you too will be judged, your ideas weighed and if found wanting massacred?

If we're REALLY going there; here's an idea, either give a cooldown to when he can teleport; like 45 seconds - 30 seconds of it so that it's not spammable. I doubt it is but i've seen the blood spurt from a gen more than 3 times in the span of 5 - 8 seconds. Also, note I didnt ignore your suggestion; I read it, whenever I do a post I read the comments I get on it and see what I can take from it. If it's nothing of value which is subjective to different people, I move on; likewise, if it has something of value i'll take that info and apply it to what I already do and dont know.

And being insulting isn't helping your cause. The problem is that you are wrong about Freddy, in so far as him being the problem by himself. When you complained about him, you talked about all those information Perks on TOP of his ability to teleport between Generators. I would submit that all the high mobility Killers profit from the wealth of information Perks available. So is the problem their mutual ability to teleport, or the information Perks, or both in combination? Saying NERF Freddy is a totally useless. Give us specifics. A rant without constructive suggestions is just that, a rant.

I fail to understand where I insulted him muchless was being blunt about it. If your defintion of being insultive is me calling someone ignorant then 🤭

With regards to his teleport you get a few seconds notice when blood starts coming out thats more notice than you get with demogorgon is he OP too? What about spirit when she phases and shows up next to you out of nowhere, OP as well? Or when Huntress or deathslinger shows up undectable with Tinkerer and get you at range OP right? Clown can shut down loops with his gas OP? Nurse can teleport through a wall and hit you OP? Bubba, billy, Ghostface, and Myers all have one shot down abilities OP? Why dont we just get rid of the ability to play killer and go against ai killers so you never have a challenge. Then you wont have to worry about being camped or tunnelled or slugged.

Being ignorant won't help you here. This comment is the WALKING equivalent of "Skill issue bro, just get good." Dont comment If that's your plan.

I have faced a good Freddy. Want to know what happened? I looped him so much he left me and went to down my teammates with 5 second chases. I guess he was just a super good Freddy to down my teammates in 5 seconds, or I'm just the best survivor on the planet for making him break chase with me.

Reality check: it's not that hard to loop a killer and make them give up on chasing you. I did to 2 PH's, 1 Ghostface, 1 Huntress and 1 Wraith today. As long as you have good judgement, a solid reaction time and good pallet positioning; obstacle positioning, you're set. Freddy on the other hand destroy that with said snares and fools you with dream pallets. Obviously, that wa a bad Freddy otherwise you wouldn't be making that statement.
