SCPs, thats my dream.

I like it, but cruel limits could be disgusting.
-
Yeah sure, lets take a killer most people consider weak and obliterate their moveset. By any chance do you happen to be on the dev team?

Technically, Bubba was only a paragraph, not a full chapter.
Also, Freddy is the perfect example of why people shouldn't be so quick to wish for licensed characters.
We've had two different versions of Freddy and they are both are both absolutely rancid. He just doesn't fit into the game.
Neither does this goofy-ass robot.
Thats still three licensed killers in a row. And almost all of the complaints I have seen about freddy has been how powerful he is, thats a sign hes not properly balanced, not that he doesn't fit. And funnily enough, despite all the counter arguments raised against it, you still claim sprintrap wouldn't fit, and is "goofy". So tell me, how is is a torn up robot with the decaying corpse of a child murderer in it "goofy?"
-
I always saw it as a kyf kinda thing, not another main game mode to break up the playerbase.

They wont come up with three licenced chapters in a row.
Bubba, Freddy, and Pig would beg to differ.
-
@not_Queef said:
People keep suggesting this but they never explain what the power would be.
It's not enough to just say "I want X character". If the character is not compatible with the existing mechanics, I definitely don't want it. FNAF is so different to DBD that I don't see how it could work.
Also, FNAF sucks. There are plenty of more suitable licenses for BHVR to pursue.
The whole FNAF sucks thing is subjective, so theres literally no point in bringing that up. And different forms, vents, other animatronics, sound misdirection, etc. If they could make Billy and Bubba play differently, they could make springtrap different.

Well, the whole terming thing wasn’t really well defined.
for example: I think GhostFace was called a chapter but Ash and every standalone before was a paragraph? Not 100% sure though.
but I didn’t hear anything about them being done with stand-alone chars.
It could be that they're just retiring the name "Paragraphs." I'm not sure if that was the thing people kept referring to though, thank you anyway.

While PC might be able to play this game at a better rate than Switch, I still love Switch version. Frame rates are good and graphics don't look that bad at all. Plus I liked how when a lightning storm hit recently, I undocked it and played in handheld mode. That's why I'd love for them to be added to the roster.
More power to you man, I like to play PC because its the most consistent version and has the PTB and majority of players, and mouse control. I'm glad some people like the switch port though.
-
I love the way this was worded.
-
I just made a post about this myself lol. I've had no luck either.
-
It actually looks like it. Nice job!
-
Understandable.
-
Ghostface, his mind games and ability to catch unaware survivors is so much fun.

I don’t know if they’re still doing paragraphs. I read somewhere that they wanna do full chapters from here on out. So either Sam & Dean would either be legendary skins or they’d do a full Supernatural chapter. A killer and map wouldn’t be all too hard though, what with all the places they go and monsters they face.
Yeah thats true, I brought up the possibility because sam and dean are far more popular than the monsters they face. Out of curiosity, where did the devs say that? I personally would love some standalones every now and then.

Survivors are just skins
Killers have a whole different power from each other
Thats why I said it wasn't a perfect example. It shows that lore wise it's not a problem, but gameplay wise it's still an unknown. I'm not gonna concern myself with the exact rules of this hypothetical gamemode. If I were to pick a combo of 2 different killers, I would pick myers with infinite tier three and the ability to kill, and plague.

I just played the game for 3 weeks, I learned everything but still didn't understand that big toxicity. There's always a toxic person in every match, teabagging, flash spamming is eveywhere, there is also a guide called "How to be a toxic survivor on DBD?" Why? Why so toxic man? And whose fault is that? I reported at least 5 person who has toxic behaviour, none of them banned I think. Whose fault is that?
It seems like a snowball effect, change after change allowed these playstyles and people got more and more annoyed, combine that with the fact DBD has been getting consistently more popular and this just ind happened.

In my mind, you couldn't bring the same killer twice.
That might happen. The way I see it, if we can have multiple of the same survivor in a match, we could have some duplicated killers. That isn't a perfect example, but I think it works well enough.
-
That'd be neat, could be like a semi chapter if they don't want to make a killer or map.
-
Double doc. The madness would never end. An honorable mention would go to plague with anyone.
-
Spirit. I rarely think a killer is OP, shes the exception.
-
I only just realized you got a 4k with demo, nice.
-
Pride, nothing more, nothing less.
-
Pop can be used throughout the match, Corrupt is useful for the early game.

To me it doesn't make sense that a killer gets handhondeld in an already winnable chase. The worse player shouldn't went out winning the chase.
Thats fair, I just see it more so as a balancing act to keep the game interesting. I don't think it should be deleted entirely, but some tweaks would be nice.
-
I don't feel like its that big a problem considering it takes a while to start up. Short and unsafe loops getting even shorter and unsafe with the length of the chase makes sense to me.
-
SCPs, I love them so much I named my account to advocate for them. I feel like there would be more liked choices, but if we're being personal there is nothing I would love more.
-
True, I it's reasons like that I play on PC.
-
True, its not as toxic though.

not what I asked:
How many of those complaining are on the ptb themselves vs how many get their info from streamers, youtubers or plain text with potential misinterpretations
(I don't mean this snarky. I just know from my own betatests for other (much smaller games) that you will always see people misreading the patchnotes)
Oh my bad, I can't say for sure cause I don't have a statistic. But i don't think most people would be complaining without having any experience. But this is DBD so anything is possible.
-
PC players appear to make up a little more than half the playerbase, so the majority basically. Also, the changes are very well laid out so most people can get some semblance of how drastic the changes are with just the numbers.
-
Otz has it for me, hes fun to watch, chill, and informational. My least favorite is ochido, cause ######### em.
-
PTB, Performance, mouse controls, most tier lists being for PC. It just makes sense.
-
I never even thought about a loadout selection, that would be amazing. I personally would like an option to simultaneously queue as both killer and survivor to get matches faster, chances are your always gonna get survivor though, considering how few killers there are.
-
I have no idea what that is so I don't have any preferences either way.

IDK.
Mori - I Agree.. make it more common in the web and just a cool way for a quicker kill as opposed to taking a survivor to their final hang.
Key - You still have to a. find the hatch, b. pop all the gens and open the gates before you can even open it with a full squad, right? So to me, the argument against keys is nothing more than a complaint that it might prevent a 4k GAME, whereas a mori prevents an unlucky caught survivor. NO GAME.
I mean, as a killer, if i killed 2 and they could escape with just 3 gens popped, there is 50% chance i already killed the key carrier. If you only killed 1 and 4 gens are done, you might not be able to prevent the escape anyhow. If all 4 could jump out the hatch at start of the match, i'd see your point.. it would be exactly like queueing up as survivor and getting NO GAME by being a victim of MORI. At least you can see the key in lobby and know who is carrying one; preventing you from just being able to troll the last 3 generators after 4 have popped. If all 4 survivors are escaping you with key, they would have gotten you via gate as well, or maybe you get one..
That is still an awful lot of power keys have, being the only thing to possibly snatch 2-3 kills from you. And depending on the state the survivors are in you can absolutely bring back a 3 surv 1 gen game.
-
Yeah they're so inconsistent most people won't even bother. I only run them if I feel like rolling the dice.
-
That'd be nice.

If you can tell that it is them then theres no problem.Right.
Not at all, if you have to change a core value of a characters design to make them fit then perhaps you should reconsider putting them in.

They could always make them realistic.
Sure, they could. But would it feel like them? Would you think "Yeah this is definitely gravity falls" When you see deathslinger shoot a harpoon through redesigned Stans mouth? How about when the entity impales his entire body and carries him off into the void? I don't think they would feel even remotely the same.

Explain what you mean by aesthetic & relevancy points.
I already did but I'll explain again. The tone and aesthetic are polar opposites. Gravity Falls is a bright cartoon, DBD is a gritty realistic game. They just don't work well together.

"its Just a Kids Show is such a Weak Mindset. With saying that (Stranger Things X DBD) would not have happened because its teen show while dbd is a 18+.
Stranger Things demographic is 18-40, so those aren't comparable at all. Furthermore, what about my aesthetic and relevancy points?
-
As much as I hate hearing this argument for stuff like FNAF, its a kids show man. The tone and aesthetic are basically polar opposites. It got 2 seasons and a few books and nothing else. It just wouldn't work.
-
Thing is, it's so useless that no one runs it solo, meaning the only time you'll see it is when you get ######### by SWF.
-
Addons, Items, Offerings. I've never gotten a list faster lol.
-
I think he should be reverted. He was perfect before. A decent killer who was simple to understand for both survivors and killers, he was the beginner killer for both sides, his addons made him a little stupid though. I think they should revert the changes and rework his addons again. Or we could just get rid of addons entirely at this point, but thats unrelated.
-
Both sides should knock it off at this point. I've seen just as many posts complaining about FNAF as I have advocating for it.

Wow, less than 10 seconds of breathing room. Amazing.
Say what you will, 12 seconds is basically how long it takes to heal with a medkit. Meaning healing time can effectively be doubled at points. I think the changes you mentioned would be a good replacement for deep wounds, but its up to the devs, and they have been 50/50 so far in terms of balancing.
-
They would have to buff Legion or Death Slinger some other way though. It doesn't exist to be a big threat that makes you go "Oh my god, Not deep wounds!" It's supposed to waste survivors time so Legion and Death Slinger have some room to breath.
