Trail of torment forcing survivors off a loop is great, it draws them out into the open. Pyramid Head is amazingly balanced, giving him such a massive buff is unnecessary. The only change he needs is something to stop him tunneling.

Its definitely because of Silent Hill: I personally think the idea is cool, but there are quite a few other licenses I’d rather see first. The hate is a little annoying, but understandable.

Nice, this was pretty spot on. Just so you know its just Silent Hill not Silent Hills, Silent Hills refers to the cancelled reboot that everyone hates konami for.

I think FNAF would be a decent addition, but there are more well liked licenses they could go with. If your looking for an actual discussion I’d recommend reddit or youtube. They are way more open and willing to have a nice conversation. Trying right now will just follow the trend of “Cringy Kiddy Jumpscare game for babies” instead of actually talking. Makes them sound more like kids than anything else.

In general SCPs are my pick. For TV I’d have to go with Supernatural. For Movie I’d have to go with F13.

True but due to the way Silent Hill has handled its games and its media, it does have a set of Iconic monsters and protagonists that make it stand out above anything else, like instant recognition. Which I think is a big factor into how people view a lot of this horror content coming into DBD. Pyramid Head, The Nurses, The giant bunny costume. Are all Super Iconic for Silent hill....although, we still have yet to get "Real" nurses.
SCP has something similar. 173, 106, 049, 682, 096, and a few others are at the forefront of the community.

SCP has so much content though by itself, it'd be really difficult to narrow it down to 1 killer or 1 thing even. Its got a creative commons license though, so I could see it being utilized for skins, powers, maps, hell maybe they find 1 diamond among the swath of monsters they want to make into a singular killer or survivor. But its a huge ass box of content.
Thats true, It would be quite the challenge. I found the best would be playing as 106 and unleashing the most popular. SCP SL did something like that. I made a concept on it, most of the people I showed it to liked it. But that might just be my mates pitying me. I think they can make the SCP plague doctor as a killer, and maybe some legendary SCP skins. Demogorgon can be 0-96 maybe. Oni can be that alligator with hair.
That would be cool. I love the idea of playing as someone like 106 but being able to release the others as time goes on. I made an entire chapter concept on it.

SCP, standing for Secure, Contain, Protect, is a fictional organisation based upon capturing and containing "Anomalies", things which defy the laws of nature. It can be anything from an orange blob that loves chocolate and cures depression (SCP-999) to a globe that causes everything man-made to decay (SCP-804) to an IKEA that never ends.
It's completely fictional and based upon fan submissions. I believe it's also liscened under CreativeCommons not Copyright (although I could be wrong) meaning DBD is free to use provided it shares the license, gives credit, and makes no money from it.
Although recently there was a legal battle over copyright and monitisation in Russia so yay more lawsuits first.
Actually, the creative commons licence does allow people to sell SCP stuff, the devs could sell it provided they give credit.

I see this asked a lot so I figure I should give an explanation for those unaware. The games made it decently popular, I'd say its about as well known as pumpkin head or maybe candyman. It's not talked about much though.

Thats a bit of an over exaggeration, but he could certainly use some changes. I want him to be reworked again, not because of his kit being awful but because of how boring it is. Dreams are the scariest thing ever and the only thing they could come up with was tar blood and fake pallets, the only part that actually feels "dreamlike" is the gens bleeding.

Good PH only use their powers when you are about to be in a animation so when they can't miss
only really , really bad PH are gonna try to use their powers when you are not stuck in a animation even more if they can't see you
still waiting for an actual counter that isnt just "hope the killer is bad and plays like a moron"
His readying takes a second, which is enough time to regain control from the animation. Him cancelling the ability also takes a second where he can't attack, giving you time to get to a pallet. This really isn't big enough to warrant a nerf.

I feel like his addons could use a bit more fine tuning. But hes in a good spot overall.

Spirit needs to be nerfed and Billy is basically the same, while the return of his addons is annoying its not as bad as Spirit.

If you see him readying his power don't go for a window or pallet, run circles around him and wait for the sound, his view is restricted and his attack can be easily predicted and dodged. You could even go behind a wall so he can't see you and will have a much harder time hitting the shot. He absolutely does have counterplay, you just gotta know how to do it.

Yeah, I've just kinda doubled down on SCP SL, its free and the updates are far better performed. I don't understand how a free to play game made by fans can have better maintenance than something like DBD.

From what I can tell its only bannable if you kept them there for an extended period of time, so you seem to be fine.

I don't believe there are any bad choices when it comes to licences, but personally I don't care for candyman at all. I feel like there are way more unique and preferred licences to him.

Bbq still shows me survivors. Empathy still shows me teammates. Are they a little fainter than normal? Yeah, but they're not invisible.
If you rely on bbq+nurses+bitter murmer to do well, you're not really doing well.... try new things. Learn a little more than "oh shiny survivor time to go that way".
I have bad eyesight and have trouble hearing in one ear, I need those perks to play the game.

I think hes balanced, but it is undeniable hes easier to tunnel with than any other killer. I think the best course of action would be to allow hook perks to work on cages, so survivors get DS and BT, but he isn't nerfed because it lets him use bbq and pop.

All they have to do is take away his capability to 99 and then buff his add-ons and other capabilities. I mean hell I was in a match where his expose lasted the whole game from beginning to end of an hour long match. He is not weak at all
You should probably mention that. 99 is an amazing tool he has, taking it away and not mentioning a replacement sounds like your asking for a straight nerf.

Detectives hunch is severely underrated. Tenacity is decent for slug based builds. Stake Out is good for new players. I like Tapp a lot, I wish they would give him some skins based off Adam or Lawrence or something though.
