Hag is an easy S tier mostly due right now to the shock factor, except for this rift, I have probably gone against 3 hags, total, I have played close to 1000 survivor matches, No one knows how to play against a good hag very well and she just dominates most of the time when in the hands of a competent player
I think she could be in S, I put Her in high A because of the setup it takes. I should have put her over Oni for sure though.

Overall nice job! I like the tier list and think its the most accurate representation of killers. I still think Hag is S tier cause her traps literally do teleport her without a stun like nurse. Nurse is top of S tier because she can avoid loops while spirit is next because of mind game potential. Freddy is bottom of S tier with the worst teleport ability. Overall though I honestly agree with this list.
Thank you! I could see Hag being S, I placed her in high A because she takes some setup. I put Nurse at the end because of how punishing making a mistake with her is, I could see putting her at the top though.

Pretty accurate. But Pyramid Head is from Silent Hill which is in the US, so its a little off.

I think Ghost Face has better Downing potential and is great at stealth, I did consider putting billy in A tier over him though.

Why tho? Why should we be able to crush his power so easy?
I say YES it should ring. And the only way around it would be Small Game (or some perk) having an added benefit of silencing it.
Trap placement is everything. Giving the Trapper an advantage for bad placement just doesn't work mate. A decent Trapper can hide his traps easily, so hes not crushed easily by any means. His traps are amazingly balanced, the problem is that he can't get enough out, which is why everyone suggests making his bags base kit. Why should that survivor get punished for being attentive? I say NO it shouldn't.
-
Hard disagree, If you are in a situation in which you can disarm the traps you should be able to do so without penalty. Trapper needs buffs, but this ain't it chief.

Yes, snare placement can be a real bugger. But, for the most part, I see where you're coming from. Cheers for your opinion!
Cheers for yours as well! It's nice to have a conversation about the game where no insults are thrown.

well, in that case in would depend on the player.
Iron Will can be a crutch perk, if you are a blendette good only at hiding. It would not be if you know what you're doing. But honestly, who cares :D?
I remember a salty player telling me that whispers is a crutch perk because he's "able to find survivors even without it". I laughed very hard.
Thats true, we should probably give it a better name.

Nice to hear you agree; I mainly slotted Freddy below her because I have different experiences with him. I see him as a killer that is only an easy-play in the exact right player's hands - no exceptions if you're low on experience or can't get your playstyle correct. I understand what you mean, but based on personal experience, Freddy is ranked (slightly) below.
Thats fair, I disagree on the easy part though. I've told beginners to start playing Freddy and they've always come back with better results. The only knowledge I find is necessary is where to put snares and what direction survivors go in when gen teleporting, neither of which require much skill imo. I do see where your coming from though.

How do you define a perk a "crutch"?
Crutch perks are normally known as perks a bad player will need to play. Like taking away a disabled persons crutch, removing the perk would destroy that players ability to kill/escape.
-
Can I ask how Pig is higher than Freddy? He seems to be at least a very powerful. I think pig should be in strong. Other than that I mostly agree with this, with a few small exceptions of course.
-
I would love that. So much cool stuff they could do.
-
Agreed, this has gotten out of hand.

Is this thread necessary? We already have a thread for this with way more votes.

Not to hijack the thread but they found mitochondrial DNA with partial matches from maternal line to one victim and Kosminski, however the sample is not without contamination. The mtDNA sequenced is a very common one and without the full sequence being provided in the published paper due to cited privacy concerns, I'm afraid it could have come from a number of sources as the overlaps are from mtDNA that is common to a huge number of European people.
Also mtDNA is primarily and most reliably used as a tool to show two samples aren't related and exclude suspects, rather than direct relatedness to show guilt. Its use then is not entirely appropriate to say Kosminski is the ripper but rather to say there is common enough mtDNA to be unable to dismiss him as a suspect based on it alone. But that could be said for 100's of other unrelated Europeans who share the similar mtDNA profile.
So while it is potentially good evidence it in no way proves beyond doubt that Kosminski was the ripper. Sadly we wind up back at square one.
But yes top hat and cape wearing slasher would be a great DBD killer.
Damn, thank you for educating me on this.

1. The real jack the ripper has never been identified. Kosminski was just a subject.
2. With all the interesting folklore and horror these still not utilized for killers, why pick a real life killer? That would be lazy and in poor taste.
3. Just because others have done it doesn't make it cool.
They found forensic evidence that proved Kosminski was the ripper.

She's already injured so she'll just get downed again. Which I guess would also be a desirable outcome. This is assuming the killer is in range to intercept, though.
Soul guard and an insta heal medkit can deny the down. Then theres also the range problem you mentioned.
-
If your parents are not willing to have you hear the f word of all things I don't think this is the type of game for you, sorry.
-
@malatruse said:
" 2: leave her on the ground and risk her having unbreakable or being picked up."
This seems like the best scenario in this situation, if she uses unbreakable she doesn't have it anymore, and if someone comes to pick her up, that's another person not doing gens, and potentially another basement hook. Even if Nea gets up (either from unbreakable or another survivor) she can't go for the unhook on the Adam, and unless she heals immediately you can follow her blood orbs to find her again.
Why can't she unhook the Adam?
-
I don't necessarily like rolling the dice with the game, that 14 seconds really doesn't compare to something like Pop or Corrupt imo. The only hex perk I run is Haunted Grounds, its consistent with its usefulness.
-
I'd say huntress for her addons, Freddy, or Spirit.

Really I didnt know that huh cool, but now I've put more thought into it maybe Irl killers aren't a good idea but I would like to see killers that took inspiration off of them
I'd be down for an inspired killer. That could be cool.

Well I've heard of a documentry once that Jack the Ripper was H.H. Holmes but then again it hasn't been official
Actually, new forensic evidence says the ripper was a man named Aaron Kosminski, A prime suspect at the time. The H.H Holmes thing only really matches the time period, not much else. I still don't care to see him in the game, I don't think IRL killers are the way to go.

I think Wraith's could be improved upon.
We know how he rips out his boss' spine and skull? So imagine if, whilst they're downed, he leans over and snaps their neck, before tearing out their spine and skull (leaving no lasting damage of course because this game has no gore thankfully) and discarding it on the ground.
DBD doesn't have a gore system, theres no way wraith can rip anything out.
-
We haven't gotten any real life killers, it'd feel kinda weird. Also, jacks whole thing was that no one could catch him and the way he brutalized woman was disgusting, neither of those things translate at all into DBD.

The newest one is on the 3DS just called Corpse Party, but you can find a lot of the titles on Steam.
If I had to recommend games from the series I'd go Corpse Party Blood Covered/Repeated Fear (same game) first. It's top down detective story game. Book of Shadows (more visual novel but still fun.) Then Corpse Party Blood Drive. A lot of them can be played on Nintendo which isn't the first thing that springs to mind with these kind of games but they're a real classic. Just remember to save your game. A lot. Also don't reset if you get a bad end, those are a completion bonus for content and eventually you'll want to seek them all out.
It's a character driven series. By the end of those three games you'll have an appreciation for all of them. (Even/especially for Sachiko.)
AFTER that, you can play Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash. (Gallows humor EVERYWHERE but it only fits if you know the characters already)
I'll check them out, thank you.

It's a series of Japanese horror games with the occasional movie. It really plays like a puzzle game with very limited action sequences with lots (and I mean lots) of death. If you play it like a detective/investigation game its better but it's basically all horror.
It really comes down to if you like the characters or not. If you hate the character's its probably gonna be a slog but if you care about the characters and want them to survive, it's pretty fun. Book of Shadows is basically just a straight visual novel.
What platforms are they on? I've been looking for some good storytelling.
-
Forgive me but what is Corpse Party? Sounds like a parody movie.
-
I disagree. Imagine if you don't run those perks for a moment, what does the cage do now? Also, the trade off for countering survivor hook perks is being unable to use killer hook perks. So pop and bbq, two of the best killer perks in the game, are now not nearly as good. Also, there are steps you can take to ensure that you will almost never be tormented, like ditching the loop or being mindful of whats around you. I think PH is well balanced, all he needs is something to discourage tunneling.
-
I hope, we really need to get all killers on all platforms.

What did they do to the auras? Is bbq ruined?
They used the auras from the mobile version. Which made them nigh impossible to see, I actually have to take a break till their fixed because I can't see. BBQ is good for bloodpoints but is terrible for aura reading.
-
New killer is pretty well balanced, can tunnel pretty good though. The devs ######### up auras. Billy and Bubba got reworked and are either the best or worst killer in the game depending on who you ask. MMR is trash and everyone hates it. The meta is mostly the same. A bunch of bugs allow survivors to see the killer before the game starts. Everyone hates the new maps layout, but love the aesthetic. I'm probably missing a few others but these are what come to mind. Welcome back mate.
-
I like the idea but had a lot of problems with it. The method seems good.

This is definitely going to get closed.

I'd be down for a deadite, perhaps they could posses certain stuff like in the original to make them different from plague.

It'd feel kinda weird to play as ash and get hunted by another ash. But I suppose thats how it was in the movie so it might work. I personally am fine with just ash. I think a killer could be cool though.

Wouldnt say it gets as much flak. Id say it gets close to it but the biggest difference is DS/UB, while a hated combo, never got the stigma of only being use by "bad killers that cant actually kill anyone otherwise"
While it doesn't have the stigma it certainly gets as much flak, I see both topics complained about heavily on this forum.

A steamer calls it that. And easily influenced people picked it up and now it's a meme. But I'd say the small small pp people are the tunnelers who play scummy for no reason. DS and Unbreakable just allows you to not be totally dependent on your potato teammates, or the killer being a schwanzkopf or not.
People had a problem with it for a long time, Scott just gave it a name. And while tunnelers are also small pp, I still see having a minute of what is basically invincibility as small pp.
-
I think it could be cool if paired with a secondary ability. Funnily enough this was my exact concept for what Jasons potential power could be lol.

It receives just as much flack if not more than NOED does. People really hate the combo.
