You seem to be taking this topic very personally, considering you don't have to use this hypothetical option. And @Rigbeta is right, you're coming off rather unpleasant lol.
I like to dress up my characters, but I would support a mode like this. Either to keep the visuals more familiar or closer to the game's og horror aesthetic.
I just said deal with it, no idea how it's taking it personally no one has insulted me, nor me them I'm just making a suggestion to help them deal with their struggles when it comes to "BM".
I'm sorry @Rigbeta, if I upset you, I was honestly trying to help I just amn't the best when it comes to wording things. I just don't think hiding cosmetics would help much and that's okay to disagree, you don't need to justify it, your opinion is valid too. -

What you're saying makes no sense.
I am stating that bm is bm. If a survivor acts in a manner that is entailed to incite a player, that is Bm.
You're the one saying stuff like "Deal with it" and saying smug things like "try changing your perspective, it might help" with a full stop. It's just unnecessary. You can argue a point without being unpleasant.
And it would not stop people from expressing themself. It would allow the person who shuts off the cosmetics to "see" everyone as their base form. It wouldn't effect the the other players' view of themself or their charms.I'm not wrong am I? You could try not assuming the worst and you might enjoy interactions with others more, Cosmetics aren't going to hurt you, bm is a form of experession if you like it or not, it's just a game lol you do need to lighten up and realise that the cosmetics are fine, entire characters are locked behind them do you really think they'll just turn off the ability to see them?
They are what make this game so special, seeing how people dress up their characters etc. it's fun. -

Okay, you don't have to be aggressive or strange. It's just a conversation.
And I don't think emotional manipulation is healthy in any case. BM is BM even if you try to handwave it as a tactic. You are being aggressive assuming people are wanting emotes with bad intentions, stopping people from expressing themself with cosmetics is a terrible idea.

Also. Emotes could be used to bm people. If anything just add more in-game communication gestures. There's no need to turn the game into some kinda circus or dance party.
Deal with it, every other live service has it, it'd be fun to emote with people you don't always have to assume a t-bag is to bm you, sometimes its to catch someone like yourselves anger so you make mistakes.
Try changing your perspective, it might help -

We appreciate everyone letting us know about the issue so we could get it under investigation!
Can we look into Nemesis doing this also? He has had this issue since he came out, it occassionally happens
-
I feel this is a problem with a lot of killers who have bad 4v1, they resort to tunneling etc instead to make up for their lack of presence. It's a wider issue that needs looked into while making tunneling a worse option.

Just thinking about how unused Shadowborn is and wondering if it could be reworked to a Distortion-esque perk for Killers. We have perks that grant Undetectable, but nothing specifically related to your aura being revealed.
Start with 5 Tokens, each time your aura would be revealed to survivor(s) consumes a token to hide your aura and red stain for 10 seconds. Recharge 1 token for each survivor hooked (or maybe something like every 45 seconds spent in chase?)
Just spitballing. Thoughts?
I think something like the 2v8 mode where it notifies you baseline would be nice for killers and survivors

Clown is in a decent place now, a low B tier killer. You just aren't that good at the game is all, and it's fine, but killers need to be actually able to somewhat deal with 4 survivors, since it's a 1v4 game. Instead of trying to ask for nerfs for "haste" Clown (haste bottles are literally part of his power) try getting better at the game.
I'm not asking for nerfs, I'm asking to make him fun to go against, and for him to be fun to play too for those who enjoy them. People in here have mentioned they struggle with gens etc and the 1v1 is the only place he excels. I didn't state I was dying to him, I Just think the way we are going with current killer balance isn't not the right call, I feel Dracula is a better example of what a killer should be rn.

This is honestly the least of my concerns about Singularity right now.
His Overclock is overtuned even more when it was already oppressive before (3% haste every time it's used on top of making pallets and windows essentially useless is overkill) and the aim assists he now have take out the most skill-based element he had before.
EMPs basically feel useless when it takes all of half a second for him to tag you again thanks to the auto-aiming.
This it's so infuriating
-
Vecna has good 4v1 and good 1v1
Comparing Mage hand to Dead hard is a bit ironic considering it got removed because people didn't enjoy going against it. Most people call him boring because of Mage hand.
there are other killers who need help much more direly than he does. -
Honestly I'd just like the being hooked requirement removed, with the likes of languid touch and other exhaustion perks I don't think it'd be as much of an issue now m1's have an option against it.
It was one of our only counters for Nurse, Blight and the like and I loved using it on Jill to feel like playing as her.
of course I understand why it was removed, it was just fun to use. -
yeah consiering their is only 3 chests baseline it seems… so bad compared to inner strength

I'm not entirely sure why a Killer being better now is "boring", don't you want more challenge as Survivor?
So challenge isn't a bad thing, there just isn't much interaction between the two of them, there is no challenge in constantly being forced to take hits because of overbuffed killer powers.
1v1 is becoming more and more miserable in the game, I'd rather killers get more to help in the 1v4. The chase is the whole reason I play the game, and gradually it's getting more and more taken away from it, now I'm not saying these killers are the worst for it but it's pretty bad in some cases. I'm just giving some feedback as to how it feels to go against them rn.@HPhoenix said:
Clown main here.
While haste clown might be oppressive, we still lack map pressure. Even with a good haste build, you'll eventually bump into a really good teams that know what they are doing. Don't forget that we lose to pre-dropped pallets, W key gamers and large maps. I been running STBFL, Rapid, Pain res (Or pop/Surge) Corr (Or deadlock), and I STILL lose games. The most I can get with that build is 2K at most.So the tips I can give you are these:
-If you notice that he's running haste and hear his heart beat, run away and make distance if he's heading your way and find the strongest loop within your vicinity.
-We HATE pre-dropping Andies, and once they do, they just hold W or make it to another strong loop.
Otherwise, I wish you luck vs haste clowns out there! <3.Thank you for the tips, I try not to be close when he gets close but there are times I play with newer friends to the game and you can't help at all due to the slows, I am a vigil user and the only counter right now I can come up with is dark theory for them.
This is why I'm saying them focusing on the 1v1 patch after patch is the most irritating thing as both a killer and a survivor, as I feel it misses the point. 4v1 should be the focus, map pressure, rewarding good play. Built in Corrupt or the like just more to help killers early game thats not a PERK.
1v1 buffs tunneling, it buffs everything people are complaining about right now, and it makes the game more inaccessible and unforgiving to learn for newer players.
People here might not see it playing only killer, but as someone who plays both the 4v1 is what needs attention right now, and perks should not be the only answer to that. -

I wouldn't mind if his Slice & Dice was made a bit more harder to control (tighter turning) in exchange for making Slice & Dice Scamper a thing you can do without it being 99% of the time just free distance for a Survivor.
that or even a smaller hitbox coz its HUGE

I mean I personally know where the palettes are on the maps because I'm playing a lot of killer, the only thing I use WoO for is to look if the palettes are still there. Of course it somewhat helps on planing your route, but it won't make you suddenly a god at looping, people that just run to the best loops and nothing else are probably wasting them quick, so it's not an issue for the most part I think.
It's not really the pallets I care about its those long walls with the windows on the newer variations of maps
-
I'm going to disagree here and say add emotes and keep letting us express ourselves more.
-
@VomitMommy said:
I don't really think it needs nerf, but recently I forced myself to stop using it.
WoO and Lithe will let even worst survivor have good chase. Vault window and follow yellow color...
Issue is you will never really improve your looping skill, because you don't need to.
I kinda enjoy that I am forced to get maximum value out of every loop, because I don't know if zone next to me is safe or not... It makes survivor for me way more entertaining.
It was hilarious with Ultimate Weapon to watch survivors run like headless chicken when they lost WoO. Sadly there is not really good blindness perk for chase now.
This is what I'm saying I don't use it on Survivor side, but as soon as I switch to killer at least 3-4 every game, it's so annoying, how are you to improve against Holding W as some killers with no mobility, it wastes so much time and takes 0 effort. "Skill issue" or not, it's harmful to casual dbd play I feel
-
@VomitMommy said:

Well, sound in DBD is weird for both sides right now. I don't think that's Nemi issue.
it stands he just spirals out of control in Late game and he is now even better at tunneling than before.
Even at tier III he is neither best chase, or best tunneling killer.
awful on higher latency
Higher latency is terrible basically for any online game. Shooters are unplayable with high latency.
True, but I call it high latency at 40ms atm like I dont understand some of the hits maybe if I record it to show it, I'm not really being the most clear.
@Royval said:
Clown literally has 0 map pressure so I don’t see how it’s oppressive to go against. I don’t see any problem with Nemesis either.
With how quick he does chases on the smaller maps, it's a big issue, I'm mainly on about haste clown, haste perks on him are incredibly annoying.
I feel killers should be getting QoL 4v1 changes like portals etc to help them get about when they dont have mobility that other killers have. Buffing the 1v1 makes someone who plays solo queue miserable: Legions addon reworks is one of those, where it debuffs those who mend alone, instead of the 2nd hit onwards… it ended up nerfing legion vs SWFs -

Mindbreaker's Blindness only lasts for 5 seconds off of a gen, it doesn't do anything in a chase.
I also don't want it to be extended because why did they give that perk Blindness my poor Fogwise valueYeah this is exactly it, I don't want a perk which makes it impossible to use, more on to pressure in chase:
Dirty tricks: Sloppy butcher but it applies blindness instead as an idea, pressuring people in chase mainly -
@dwight444 said:
between blindness add ons and perks, run one of them
anytime survivors nag about a killer perk, they're told to use ____ perk to counter
when killers nag, they demand a nerf because why should they opt to use a perk in the same scenario
you're not getting looped cause of woo, you were already struggling at chase. Bad survivors will gain a few seconds and good survivors will just not blindly run into a dead zone and loop you nonetheless
Dracula has 2 choices, ultimate weapon or third seal both are incredibly situational, it's a perk which highlights the bad map design atm, and even the newer map spawns with the longer walls are awful.
There are no options for some killers. -
@VomitMommy said:
Nemesis changes limited to his tentacle are better option overall in my opinion. It is direct feedback for the killer (how he feels to play) yet because of slow early game, basic movement speed and additional hits, he can't really get too strong.
If you focused on zombies, he won't really be that much better, his effectiveness will be random based on zombies.
Also if zombies get too good/reliable, I think there is definitely chance for him to become most obnoxious killer in DBD. It would be highly annoying to deal with unless you got flashlight/one of few perks to deal with them.
Honestly I agree it feels better when playing as him, but on survivor PoV the sound doesnt play half the time when he preps it and the latency will show him hitting somewhere you never even touched (not drift tech, a desync atm), but as it stands he just spirals out of control in Late game and he is now even better at tunneling than before.
It's mainly a thing where it must look fine on LAN but awful on higher latency, so they never pay attention nor refine it. -

I main chucky (i've said this since last year so im not just making this up) and i honestly think he is currently too easy. It's too hard to avoid slice and dice. I barely use rat poison, usually use drill and jump rope.
Not sure how they could address this without making him awful to play though. Maybe a slight increase in cooldown would be all that is necessary, because he was arguably harder to play when he had a 18 second cooldown because you had to carefully manage it. Not saying they should put it back to 18, i think that's too long when he has no scamper. But maybe 14.
Or maybe make him 4.6m/s and replace slice and dice with a different ability, but i don't know what ability that could be.maybe reduce the size of the slice and dice hitbox, as it feels way too big for what it is, or make it consistent with collision on loops.
-
This reminds me of when Oni would scream all the time and it was super loud, and it was that way for ages, or deathslingers spitting… sometimes I dont think they consider how people percieve it. lol
-
He should lose his power after a scamper, no lunge. literally 0 effort to do well as him.
-
@Feneroe said:
They should not remove the dc penalty. Instead, they should remove hook suicides. You make it harder for people to ragequit and ruin the game for everyone else, not easier.
I do agree with lowering the cost of the oldest original characters.Yeah i think that bots are in the game maybe making a leave match option for people in solo queue might be a better QoL, I'm tired of people using attempts and missing skill checks to move on.

it's not easy for the VFX department, but needs to be done.
That and make healing visible too, there is legit NO reason for it when survivors can comm this information.

This patch it stopped making a noise (the hotfix) before hand it was playing, but this is also a bug currently happening to nemesis too, sometimes he doesnt even play his animation.

Yeah ive seen enough self carers go into a corner of a map EVERYTIME they get injured and spend most of the match self caring. You don't have to go all the way to the basement just go to the top stairs.
I absolutely hate self care.
Yeah it's when either are misused, coz strength is similliar where people bring it and basements on the other end of the map and they ignore healing with others to go and do that, it's worse than selfcare sometimes. At least I know said survivor is doing something I suppose.
-

As a chucky main with 400 hours on him (2k hours in total), I say he is not op at all. I say that nurse, billy, spirit, blight, wesker, oni and plague are better than him. I do think he is a strong killer, but not broken.
If they were to change him, than maybe nerf rat poison a little. But he is perfectly fine.
He is nurse for dummies for what he can do at windows and pallets lmao
-
@Hannacia said:
Strength in shadows + botany will give you extremely fast self heals. Personally i never recommend self care perk anymore, to me thats a killer perk and team destroyer.
Also Jills perk Resurgence is extremely strong now.
Self care with Botany is fine honestly, legit only missing out on 15 percent, it's faster than looking for someone who has no healing perks when you need it, especially in solo queue. Self care on its own when misused is the issue. Plus a team mate can finish the heal for you if they find you.
And honestly Strength in shadows is the "team destroyer" going all the way to basement to heal is a time waste in most occassions and can get you and your whole team killed if punished for it. -
Self care and botany is more powerful than it was pre nerf, not to mention you can run medkit + suture for insanely fast heals. Self healing is fine rn, you've got plenty of options you just have to utilise them.

Freddy is one of the most iconic slashers so a lot of people, the problem is he isn't worth buying due to his boring power and situational perks. So the only reason they don't make money from him is because they haven't made him worth buying. Like would you buy a killer if they're power didn't do anything if the survivor wasn't in a certain state?
He is but it's also not a version based off his original films, I do think Freddy mains are a large minority in the community even when he was at his peak, most people played him because he was strong not because of the films, especially it being the remake.
I hope you get your changes, I'm just guessing they don't see it as worth their time or something. -
I'd like it to at least keep the vault speed would be nice, that's all I could ask for. Though we have Finesse now so
-
It's a feature that' has been like missing for ages, and also the ability to see the killers name who you are playing with and their ping also, it's actually a bare minimum at this rate. Or hide survivors too.
The game is big enough at this rate to justify this feature, it's rare it needs to be used but the option should be there.
but much like everything bhvr refuse to put into the game thats social:
-Emotes
-Blocks
They listen to the audible few who cry they will have their feelings hurt that people want to express themselves IMO. -
My guess is he took the backseat for more controversial killers like skully/billy etc which I'd rather that than Freddy, also it makes more sense as they can actually make money off said characters…
who is gonna buy freddy these days bar die hard fans at this point you know?

i am just saying that taking control away from killer power weakens the killer. I am not saying that dracula cannot be balanced around not having tech, like for example you can reduce charge time of his pounce by -0.35 second so he is less likely to be LOS therefore doesn't need slide tech to gain angles at loops but that is a lot more brute force where the kit is being forced to be stronger than the player using their knowledge to outsmart loop. I was just using a nurse tech as an example of what removing the tech is like.
I agree but a lot of the killers who have these "Techs" are awful to face against as it is, if it was a symmetrical versus game where people had access to the same things and weren't facing a killer who is protected by the lobby system… it'd be a very very different game. I personally do agree it is fun and skillful to master these, but they either need to balance the killer and keep it, or remove it and buff them, not stay silent and do nothing.
Dead hard was changed for this exact reason, that was Survivors S tier option to answer the S tier killers… it's now gone well not gone but like barely an option for said situations anymore (nor should any m1 killers have to deal with this). But the S tiers need looked at. -
I love the portals/gate in the temple and the steam in nostromu, I wish there was more like that but make the steam actually slow survivors and killers down considerably more! makes it a more interesting map

imagine they nerf nurse's up and down mechanic for blinking, like i consider that up and down blinking mechanic to be == hug tech for kiler's. she'd have so much less skill expression because less control on blinks.
that's what patching hug tech is. it is having less control over your ability → reduced skill-cieling on killer.
Honestly I don't feel nurse needs any skill experession when her gameplay is just teleport ontop of survivor m1, repeat lol
-
one of her sleeves also has a missing polygon

that or just the overdrive mechanic as a whole rewarding spamming chainsaw and even misses or HOLDING onto it, why doesn't it have an overheat for spamming it too much but if you keep it in the sweet spot it grants over drive? Something like that to punish
-

Distortion does not need a nerf. You already only have 3 tokens.
I could imagine they add the 2v8 effect that it shows when your aura is being revealed.
this would really help the new player experience and help people learn when they are being affected by perks and what they do, this should happen.
-
Killer is probably the most fun and easy it's ever been right now, if people are unhooking your players faster it means they are progressing their hook state faster, let people save… the hook timers are to incentivise this, plus its easy pressure.
Focus less on hook defending, and if you have to pressure the hook do it after a save, you'll get faster deaths that way. -

I agree, both facing and playing as Drac is fine just the way he is. Not every Killer NEEDS to be nor should be super powerful. I don't think anyone should be S or D tier, at all. I do however, think Drac needs some small, small QoL things:
- Perhaps SOME of the addons could be basekitted,
- Sylph Feather is still apparently bugged,
- Reduce the ambient sound on Bat the way you reduced Dredge's sound,
- Why does Force of Echo power up Wolf not Bat?
See QoL stuff like this is fine, this is the sort of feedback he needs I personally think Bat is too loud on the killers end too
-
I think Dracula bugs aside is one of the funnest killers to play as with lots of room to improve as a player with how fun his abilities are, don't buff him, I don't want to hate another killer I've come to enjoy playing as, I think he is where all killers should be atm, good 1v1 and good 4v1 IMO.

You're just asking for a system that causes everyone to have longer queue times.
Exactly and I see no issue with that <3 I want to play with who I want to, and if people don't like me that's their choice.
Imagine players being so controlling in this community, they cannot allow players to avoid them because they know their habits are unhealthy. I just want to play my silly party horror game.
Oh might I also add how many people lobby shop to do the exact same thing in a worse way, yet how many of you defended that hm?
Let me see the killers name in the lobby, then we can agree. -
It would be nice if they also made the pay to lose characters like Claire quieter, she is way too loud. Something they promised to work on and still havn't
