I don't understand why you all keep thinking you are gonna "get me" because of "gen rushing" or "teabagging at the gates"

I don't think those things are good at the game, but i don't blame survivors for doing them.

Also, no its not, in Street Fighter again, if i know my opponent mains Zangief, and i know that Sagat has an amazingly good matchup against him (a 7-3 usually) i might counterpick him by playing Sagat. This is all part of the game. It doesn't make me toxic for counter picking them because i know they only play Zangief.

ain't no way you're comparing a game you know which characters your opponent is picking to DBD, a game where killers characters are hidden from the survivor entirely but the killer can see what they are bringing.

Edit: Oh I thought I was on page 2, oops

  • Best advice I can give despite my utter hatred for them is:
-if they have their tentacles up at a pallet or window, greed and keep going, they are trying to get a vault hit
-if they dont have them up, throw it down and call out the m1

but it's easier said than done, and this means you found a good loop that he cant just slide/bodyblock in the first place.

I've tried my hardest to learn and adapt, I just find I don't enjoy him at all. I'd rather Nurse/Blight any day over him.

    I apologise, I misunderstood.

    killer bias came from:

you're speaking with only your perspective coz you're not trying to understand in the first place,

Which I took to mean Killer perspective instead of casual vs "no life" perspective which you just clarified.

Idk where you heard her distance addons were made basekit because that is very not true. Her base blink distance has always been 0.1s charge = 1 meter travel. 1st blink 20m, 2nd blink 10m. You can squeeze a little more from the 2nd with perfect timing.

At least we can end on an agreement. Her rubberbanding with higher pings needs work. I will also add her fatigue animation desync needs fixing but getting BHVR to fix bugs is like pulling teeth.

Why are you putting words in my mouth, are you okay? I didn't say you had no life either lol

And I'm saying I heard about it can you read, I said IDK if its true, dear me

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962358#Comment_3962358

Well then I don't understand why you are saying I'm being killer bias (have no perspective) when I'm telling you facts of the game mechanics.

You just want a special case for Nurse. I've already pointed out this is a foolish request because stunning a Nurse out of fatigue could then be reduced with perks. You are basically giving double tap opportunity.

Yes, I've seen you listing other killers but @MaTtRoSiTy has already refute that.

Because casual players exist too? Who said it has anything to do with Killer bias, I'm on about a casual survivor playing is going to hit her while fatigued, which I will admit I didn't state that specifically. I've exhausted all dialogue with you it seems so I'm done here, you disagree I get it.

Also the nurse rubberband bug should absoloutley be fixed too, she just seems to be really neglected in general where she has issues playing as and against her rn.

I've heard stuff that she has both range addons too baseline or something? But I have no idea if that is true.

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962347#Comment_3962347

Your headline say fatigue but now you are saying not during fatigue. Sorry for taking things at face value.

Your explaination is still confusing could you provide a play by play or something where I can tell when you are trying the stun?

Yes, I'm hitting her DURING Fatigue, it's not confusing at all, you're defending it DURING fatigue, I'm talking about how she should DURING.

You randomly changed it to an assumption that I was hitting it after? If I was, would I have made this thread? Hello?

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962340#Comment_3962340

But you cant stun them in that second the animation plays and the window is only longer with Nurse because her fatigue animation is quite long

Omg you literally can LMAO that's why Legions use End fury

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962337#Comment_3962337

You are clearly using it early! Nurse is not immune to Head On. You tried hitting her while in animation. You got exhaustion because BHVR's spaghetti code doesn't check if the stun occured or not.

See this is why I find you frustrating, you're speaking with only your perspective coz you're not trying to understand in the first place, I'm using it toward the end of her animation coz I'm having to have head on charge when she misses her blink. I'm not using it at the end of it

I'm not on about I'm using it perfectly, not to mention latency plays into this.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962187#Comment_3962187

When though? What killer locked in animation can be stunned while locked in an animation?

This doesn't work for the same reason you cant pallet save if you drop the pallet too early while the killer is in the pick up animation. I know people don't like this fact but downvoting me doesn't make me wrong.

    Legion Fatigue, exact same thing

    Blight Fatigue, exact same thing

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962327#Comment_3962327

It is actually foolish to want this to begin with. You want to give a strong killer the ability to cancel out one of her forced cooldowns with a quick stun?

Who says I'm using it early, I want to be able to use a locker with my exhaustion to evade her and buy more time in chase against her with what I have available to me.

It's not my fault you have no awareness of the survivor's perspective.

Also again it's an animation lock, like Legion's fatigue state, they don't get special treatment, again.

Also Head On DS hasn't been doable ever since 5 seconds was reduced, another thing you are unaware of lmao

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962243#Comment_3962243

That is with Head On not the killer.

Are we still trying to stun Nurse with pallets? How many times do you need to be hit before you learn that's not the play. Treate her like any other killer that can hit over pallets. There are many killers that can do that now. Predrop and force them to blink when you're out of sight.

She should be able to be stunned, who would even say that, that's saying don't use the tools at your disposal.

Listen to yourself. Legion can be stunned mid recovery, Ghoul even can, so can Wesker.

Such lack of awareness is frustrating lol

  • Deception, the amount of killers I've lost or distracted with a deception play makes my game when I'm using it.

Now if only mirrored Illusion would make generator/totem cleansing noises, so I can use this too more effectively.

  • The medkit arguement is a silly one, it's been made more accessible to use Medkits with healer builds. Suture is still the biggest offender for fast medkit healing, those great skill check heals if you're consistent with skill checks (which most experienced players are) are far more efficient, as they don't use charges.

Healers being able to use the item that's designed to be used for healing is barely an issue, suture is a problem because it curbs item charge consumption. I'd much prefer suture brought down and the base skill checks be brought back up from before the medkit rework/healing rework.

Please don't nerf healing in a tunnel/slug meta. It's the only thing fighting it back right now if even that.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

Because then they are being penalised twice, you can stun her immediately after fatigue still, which is even worse. It just isn't easy to do.

But why do I get exhausted when I use Head on then but she doesnt get stunned, it seems hardly intentional

Even if it was allowed to be done earlier, it would hardly harm her, she is already one of the strongest killers in the game, giving you a way to stop her recklessly lunging or fatigueing through pallets would be nice.

She of all killers could use some more interaction with her, especially with the new "Fragile Pallets" if you use one of these too soon on her you've wasted a hard to earn resource AND she can get a free hit.

  • @Mandy said:

It's used for matchmaking in events only, nothing that happens in any of the events, including limited time ones change the MMR of the players - regardless of the match outcome.

Oh thank you that's really interesting!

  • @Mandy said:

Definitely not rigged, definitely exists :)

Sorry to ask such a general question, but does MMR apply to the twisted masquerade?

  • Ghoul is one of the final straws for my survivor experience which has made me play less, if they ever deal with them I'll probably play more again

  • Now if we could get her actress' likeness and some voicelines and chase music she'd be peak

  • I'm really happy she is getting help, I love the mindgames she can do at loops and it being easier to do means we'll see her more.

  • I like Overcome, Empathic Connection, Bond, Duty of care

So I can let people know I'm coming to help them and they can co-ordinate around me even if I'm not in comms with them. I also can get healed and heal others with this loadout.

  • @kosaba11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3960342#Comment_3960342

I figured that would happen. Unfortunately, while I doubt actual high MMR Killer Mains care that much, the Killer Mains who do employ the three toxic strategies hate when the Survivors get anything that can help counter them. Unfortunately, this usually results in said item getting heavily nerfed or the next Killer receiving a perk that negates it. Hopefully, BHVR doesn't cave to the toxic players again.

There needs to be more useful tools on survivor side, things to freshen up the gameplay. I welcome new tools added in chase as it makes chase more exciting for both sides.

  • Last Stand I wish was an exhaustion perk with the current requirement, once per trial is madness. Or at the very least give it the dead hard treatment once per hook

  • You should see the feedback forums, items not even been in the PTB for a day and killer only players are crying blood over it. Wild.

  • @AssortedSorting said:

If a survivor goes down too quickly: The other survivors have more map resources to utilize. (The downed survivor wasn't able to use too many pallets)

If a survivor stays alive for too long: The other survivors have fewer map resources to utilize. (The downed survivor used a lot of pallets the Killer "hopefully" broke)

It's macro-scale gameplay. (That being said, there are cases where it's too quick, and too long)

On Killer side: Pain Resonance, Grim Embrace, Pop Goes the Weasel are some to name about how a game can snowball with these perks helping an early down.

On Survivor Side: A Gen being finished in a key location early, which can make perkless gen defending quite more difficult. but losing gens early can put a lot of pressure on the killer.

I don't think there is a pain res equivalent on survivor side, like a perk which is anti-snowball… Fast Track is the closest we have and it does nothing. Hyperfocus is the closest thing and without stake out it takes too long to activate.

I feel as Killer you always have a chance, as you can get downs in quick succession in an optimal situation, Survivor is the issue right now because you can only do gens so fast, and a gen which was pain res' thats 20 more seconds or so a gen needs to complete PER hook.

  • Pop doesn't need help, and we for real don't need MORE gen regression stacking rn, it's horrid as it is.

The amount of times I've faced gen regression stacking blight is suffering as it is.

  • While I agree current Nurse isn't healthy for current DBD, I'm not sure how I'd personally change her. Honestly I feel making her stunnable more consistently would be a start, the amount of times I've stunned a nurse who was charging blink or in fatigue and it didn't work to buy me a little more time, head on gets consumed by her glitchy annoying self also.

maybe stunning her should take her power away for a short timer, maybe she shouldn't be able to teleport over pallets perhaps? IDK I have no idea what to suggest. I don't think she should be ignored as she is though, especially with the smaller maps these days existing.

I'm telling you its because of age. The older you get the less you hear those low tones, its not as much about volume as it is about the tone that the lullaby is in.

ps: I'm a 66% escrape rate solo survivor… so its not like its a 'git gud' issue… ;) It's just purely the skin audio that completely F's me up in and out of chase.

The fact that many people have alrdy complained about this, probably also many younk fowks, says enough init?

I'm not telling you to git gud sorry I was just trying to help with a temp solution until they fix it nor trying to say your complaint isnt valid sorry.

I wouldn't use escape rates currently coz it's not accurate rn, abandons are counting as escapes it'll be evident in your times hooked.

  • Use the accessibility option for Huntress, can turn it on for that match only. So there is at least that, I personally have decent headphones so I've never experienced it however I can see it being an issue if on a tv or something.

I think they turned him up this patch? I havn't faced him to know if it worked yet

    Glitchtrap is really quiet however.

I want to see your global stats (so the ones when abandon wasn't in the game help alleviate the ones which are affected by it), not the bugged ones. Show me the all time ones please. Your times hooked contradict your escape rate

  • yeah this is like something they always do which is so irritating as a survivor player when it comes to events

  • @Chiky said:

As a killer the speed at which gens are done doesnt allow you to do anything (even tho I usually play a friendly).

As a survivor it's getting tunneled and camped 9/10 gsmes. And slugged for the 4K in 19/20 games. And that 1/10 or 1/20 game is only when a killer plays normally or is friendly. It's annoying af, and the only reason to play survivor is because a friend of mine wants to play. (We still get tunneled, even in coms)

I feel like I've never played a more casual DBD match in forever. My escape rate is so low atm even with the abandon bug (35 percent) like why am I still being matched with sweats.

They simply should not be able to play PVP games. If they cannot consistently get a steady ping they do not deserve to be playing something online with other people that require tighter internet connection.

    Here

No PVP game should allow people to play matches at 700ms ping lmao

Also here. Also many other people asking for Ping/Latency Limitations.

People want bad awful ping to not get rewarded with BS hits.

THAT'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS ENTIRE TIME.

Improving the Netcode SHOULD create situations where low Ping/Latency players do not get hit by something that is unfair. I DONT KNOW HOW THIS IS A HARD CONCEPT TO UNDERSTAND?

I'm not questioning you, I'm agreeing with you sorry. I don't want people to not be able to play the game, I want BHVR to fix their netcode.

  • @killer_hugs said:

One of the, if not the, biggest problem in DBD I think is the lack of a competitive environment.

And by that I'm judging what my games feel like.

What my games feel like are that I go on long winstreaks followed by long losing streaks

This event I'm maintaining about a 70% escape rate.

But, most of those matches were not competitive. It was either a free win, or it was an unwinnable game.

And It's almost at the point where the game just feels like it's trying to force the outcome.

And by this I mean sometimes you get put into matches that it's clear you can't lose. It's like the game pairs multiple survivors together who are clearly moderately skilled against a killer who is clearly unskilled. Of course the killer will lose this game.

Same thing happens on the flip side. Suddenly you get teammates that are basically brand new. Against a killer who is very good. Of course you can't win this game.

That's what the state of Dead by Daylight feels to me. It feels like a game that really is trying to force outcomes, that's trying to either give you wins, or give you losses. But it's not a game where I regularly feel like it's actually trying to pair similarly skilled players together. And how can it? The matchmaking is INSTANT. It's taking almost no time at all, if you're a survivor, to find a match. How could it possibly be creating a match with parity.

Unfortunately, maybe this is all by design. This isn't a mistake. This is all intended. Maybe I think it could be wise to stop hyper-focusing on your spreadsheet of escape rates and kill rates, and instead ask yourself; what does the game actually feel like after you've played 20 matches. It doesn't feel very competitive. It feels kind of forced, and often unfair to one side or the other.

    "I'm maintaining a 70 percent win rate"

Sure you are jan, post the results or it didn't happen. Don't forget the official tracker is bugged rn

I strongly oppose Ping/Latency Limits because of how they affect some people. Not everyone has a stable internet connection, youll see some people have 30-70 ms for the entire match but spike up to high ms for a few seconds only to go back to 30-70 ms; players in that case would get kicked because of Ping/Latency Limits because they cross the threshold.

Often at times, you dont even have control over your Ping/Latency. DBD has had persistent issues where players are put into matchmaking regions outside of their own region, resulting in them naturally having higher Ping/Latency.

Generally speaking, with how the game is at the moment, I think it would be a horrible idea to implement Ping/Latency Limits, and even still, I would still be opposed since it is up to the developers to provide good enough Netcode to properly handle situations where players are lagging.

I dont even know if we can have any meaningful discussion if you consider 700 ms is in any way acceptable in any online game other than PVE.

Probably because I moreso disagree with the prospect of Ping/Latency Limits because I dont think they would fit DBD with how their matchmaking and servers work at the moment.

It's not disingenuous either, Im providing my opinions based on what Ive seen with DBD and other games, Ive seen Ping/Latency Limits fail time and time again. Improving the Netcode should be a higher priority in my opinion.

Guess some people love going against Killers with such high ms that they hit you out of nowhere and it's literally unplayable.

As I mentioned in my original comment, the way the game currently is does not feel fair for people with low Ping/Latency, I hate facing off against high Ping/Latency players.

My issue is when you go out of your way to punish people or make their product outright unplayable for them based on conditions that they might have little/no control over; or just punishing players based on matchmaking and server issues.

BHVR should take the time to actually improve the Netcode to make it fair for low Ping/Latency players, since it directly addresses the issue as opposed to just applying a bandaid over it and kicking it under the rug.

No one is asking for limitations, people want bad awful ping to not get rewarded with BS hits.

Pre-release was gr8. Some busted stuff and bad apples, but not super comp. Lots of wiggle room. Though every PVP game is the best right at the beginning.

I can't even say BHVR does top down balancing, but that's why it could never work in a game like DBD. New players shouldn't be this frustrated for as long as they are. There should be a sense of accomplishment very early on and like they're figuring it out. As is, it's way too punishing.

I feel like that piled on with a few killers with really bad counterplay (Ghoul/Blight/Spirit/Nurse) who can tunnel really easily. Then the release of Springtrap who is a monster at tunneling (teleport to hook m2>m1). I feel like they don't play their own game, nor do any testing on this sort of playstyle.

Perhaps it's because the anti-tunnel is down the line, but maybe we should have introduced these changes BEFORE the largest player spike in history of dbd, not after when people get accustomed to it and expect it to stay that way.

IDK i'm talking nonsense but I'm just so tired of the lack of action, this event particularly is very telling of it.

  • I find that and the pallet breaking power should take longer to activate I feel, it completly nullifies a pallets usefulness, some killers can create win conditions with it (Deathslinger can shoot and then reel in while the pallet breaks). or pairing it with dissolution makes it so you basically have nothing but windows to use.

ngl I think the same - Abandon system should be for cases where the game is being drawn out over a period of time imo and just skipping the mori doesn't fit that criteria to me.

at the same time though, removing this would open the window for a killer to slug for as long as they like, no?

Killer queues are longer because we just got a killer only chapter that brought in tens of thousands of players. Those queues are already starting to even out. I've had killer queue bonus every evening this week from 9pm on, and the longest queue I've seen in the last couple of days was three minutes or so.

I don't think it is that, it's been like this even during the orela rose chapter for example. Maybe it'll be better during walkinf dead I guess, but it's been really bad. Think about 2v8, it's another good example, how does th 2 outweight the 8? It feels like BHVR barely polish/care about the survivor side anymore.

Like think about it, if survivor was made more fun, you'd get faster killer queues, which means we all win, I don't want omg win every match perks

    image.png

I just want a game where I'm not being punished for doing well, and playing fairly. I'm an honest player as survivor who plays to the best I can, yet how tf am I 35 percent and that's with the abandon glitch too.

    image.png

Killer I'm doo doo at yet I'm doing crazy on it in some killers, I'd have more data but queues are so long its unenticing.

    image.png

Could you post your stats since you seem to spend more time than me? I'd love to see

  • I really want Ashley Graham, she'd be so much fun to play as yessss

  • where it's not one sided, none of this 4 gen regression stopping survivors from playing the game fairly, or tunneling. I feel like there is probably full gen rush builds but IDK what they are coz I dont run them? maybe, with the spawn changes etc it's not so much an issue? Maybe? idk.

I just want it to be more fun for both sides, idk killer queue times are longer for a reason atm and I can barely queue for them.

Dead Hard is still a meta perk, ######### are you talking about? You still see it almost every game.

If you nerfed every strong killer into B or C tier, then you'll kill the game. End of story. Nobody likes getting tbagged in the gates. And B tier killers can't reasonably go against good survivors running meta perks.

No I don't, it's a strong perk but it's not exactly that common I'm sure official stats confirm this.

No pain res is still S tier among others, what are you on about, idk it's not perks I'm on about its not like items are s-tier, huh?

I just want more fun interaction, play more survivor please
