I’m still not sure if I will get her or not. But either way I was just going to wait and see what her buff version looks like from watching videos. So that way I will decide if I want to get her or not. I may also just wait and buy the chapter with real money when it goes on sale. But knowing me I probably get the whole thing anyway. I may get it with shards like I’ve been mostly using to buy original chapters. But then again this may also be the first time I may not buy a chapter but again I will wait and see. I don’t like the skull merchant but I also hate to buy a incomplete chapter set.
-
I’m still not sure yet, I mean even though I don’t like the Skull Merchant. Part of me still wants to buy her only because well I figured I may as well add her to my collection since I got everyone else. I mean originally I was going to buy just the two survivors instead but I figured I may as well buy the whole thing.
In terms on how I may buy it, I may buy it with real money. I just don’t want to use up all my shards since they are pain to save up but I may change my mind. Or maybe I will buy the chapter on sale. But either way I was just gonna going to watch more videos on her buff version and see if it’s more worth it but I doubt it.

Iridescent shards, not much, spread through the rift
I agree more iridescent shards would be nice.

Title. The rift just feels so full of poop in the form of charms that no one ever uses. I see the same few charms around anyways so it's obvious people don't use them and with over 20 pages of JUST charms it's time we cut down the amount of charms are added and do something better. Can we just put very simplistic recolors in place of charms? Even if it's just singular pieces like you used to do, having a rift that has a little bit of cosmetics for a lot of characters would be better than just shoving charms in every slot as well as being very simple n easy.
People have complained about some characters being left out of the cosmetic cycle or lacking in cosmetics and this would be a good way to give various characters simple cosmetics and keep everyone with stuff that's at least somewhat fresh n new while we all wait for future full cosmetics. Here's some mock ups I made

I also agree that the rift needs more then blood points and charms. I mean I like both charms and blood points. But I would also prefer more outfits too. I also really like the design ideas you came up with. But yeah they definitely should add more variety.
-
I may still play with it from time to time. I mostly play with corrupt and plain res. But I also sometimes like to change things from time as well.
-
I have to say yes cause I want Bhvr to somewhat remove her but also redo her since well to me and others feel that the Skull Merchant was rushed. By which I mean she’s very weak, her design is not very good. Her lore isn’t very well written either. I’m sorry to come off weird but I was just so disappointed with how this new chapter turned out. I mean the survivors are okay, may get them instead of the new killer but I haven’t fully decided yet.
So my point is she’s basically a weaker version of the knight. I also say that the Knight and many other killers do a way better job at pressuring 3 gens than her. Her mori is very lackluster as well. I mean it’s basically Freddy’s but way worst. But yeah that’s just how I feel about her.
I just thought it would of been cool to get a robotic killer or a cyborg even. I mean I’m all for basic designs as well. But again she just feels all over the place. I just feel again that she’s just very lackluster and that she wasn’t very well thought out in my opinion.

It would have been a positive to see something by now, not that I expected it. I have never seen so much backlash to anything they have done. This isn’t much of a game for casuals. They have a dedicated player base that should be addressed in situations such as this.
I agree that Bhvr should say something about this chapter. Sadly they won’t but if they do I’ll be shock as well.

We can only hope.. First impressions are usually the most important so if you mess that up, you may not get another shot..
I agree and that is sometimes true.

Paulie is 100% correct. The community that plays Dead by Daylight has always been much smarter than even they give themselves credit for. Kudos to him for putting this more out in the open. This was an obvious last minute cover up. Anybody that cannot see through that is lost.. I hate to say it but looks like we will never get a Predator chapter.. The amount of information that has been leaked over the past few years by BHVR themselves did them in on this one... :/
I know and yeah I agree this whole thing did indeed seem strange to say the least. But the Predator could happen one day. I mean I agree the leak problem is still being resolved and yeah they did kind of messed themselves a little bit for sure. But they also did tried not to leak as much and give more opportunities for everyone to come up with more theories.
-
I’m hoping for a robot type killer too cause I also think that would be awesome.
-
I’m sorry to sound weird but I also don’t understand were you are coming from?
-
I don’t have a lot photos of the outfits I use now. But I do got some old photos from a while back. Granted they’re mostly killer pictures. But I will try to post some survivor ones too when I can.
Edited: Got some Survivor and more recent Killer pictures.

Yeah, that would be all cool too.

Looks really cool and really looking forward to this robot chapter. I also wonder if what the killer’s power will be and also what the new survivor is like as well.

That's my issue. Before I've got adeps even if the last person got hatch. Now it just incentivizes slugging for the 4K even more. It personally doesn't bother meat the moment as I have all the adapts and I rarely face a killer going for an adept. But still when a new killer comes out.
That’s cool that you managed to get all the adepts. I agree that this new emblem system is kind of messy. I also agree it does sucks that you have to slug more in order to get the 4K for the trophy. But yeah I totally get where you are coming from. I also hope they change the new system somewhat back to the old or least where Dcs did count as hooks and you didn’t have to slug as much. But then again all we can do is wait and see I guess.
-
I chose the old emblem system cause well it would help get more killer adepts especially through dcs. I mean the new one is okay but I wish they kept the dcs count as hooks. Cause well I do like some challenges from time to time. But if someone dcs after you work for the adept I feel you should still get the trophy. But again for me personally that little thing did help me get more adepts as killer a bit more easier.

Some ideas
Corrupt intervention or Deadlock as basekit for Killers
Rework BNP
Only ONE repair speed at time work on gen so PT or BNP or Hyperfocus but not all togheter
For every hook the killer make, survivors receive a 2% repair slowdown penality ( and this is also a "buff" for survivor because incourage killer to don't tunnel )
Yeah I will agree with Milo and that these are some pretty good ideas. I also think that yeah this could maybe also stop with the tunneling and camping issues. But yeah hopefully the devs do use this ideas to help everyone out more.

At least brand new part could be fully removed in my opinion.
I understand how you feel and I don’t know how about removing it. But I will agree it’s very annoying to deal with as Killer. I will also say it needs a nerf and also a rework of sorts too.
-
I know how you feel. I had many teleport problems too in the past. But yeah they are super annoying. But anyway about the gen problem, I recently came back to play live games and well I noticed how quickly gens have been flying. I tried everything I could stop my issues but no luck.
I even say that they fly more when I’m trying to get more Adept trophies. I tried to go for Oni’s Adept but no luck. I basically been trying all night basically to get it but I keep running into these Gen rush and maybe speed hack squads. But anyway hopefully BHVR will try to fix these issues more. So for now all we can do is wait and see.
-
I have to say that Eruption, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Hyberfocus, Off-The Record, and also Pro Thy self all need a nerf. I mean I’ve said this many times also but all of them are equally annoying. Especially the second chance survivor perks cause those survivor second chance and gen perks need a huge nerf.
-
I have to my least favorite perks to see are Dead Hard, Off The Record, Adrenaline, and Prov Thy Self for Survivor.
Killer, I guess I would say Franklin’s kind of bugs me. I mean I understand how it’s point to drop items but when you have a Med kit and have nothing else to heal with.I also think it can be annoying sometimes like second chance survivor perks and survivor Gen rush perks also.

Not really. The only solution is to improve solo q because it sucks so bad. There isn't really a way to nerf SWFs that wouldn't ruin solo q.
Problem with swf is it is by no means an auto win button. I play with a swf regularly. We usually have 3 people and have to deal with one random. And one iffy player can (and frequently does) tank the match. 2 player SWFs can only do so much. Not easy for them to swing a game.
Hell even when we run a full 4 people we still do barely better than usual. A truly strong swf will dominate game after game but groups with that kind of coordination and skill are extremely rare.
Would you nerf all swfs? Just 3 or 4 player groups? Or just 4 player groups with high mmr that have won 5 games in a row?
Thank you for answering my question and that I appreciate it. But yeah I figured as much. So yeah thank you again and I appreciate it.

YES, THIS! Tysm for finding it <3 I mean business is business at the end of the day, albeit scummy or not, end-results are often one and the same anyways.
But yeah, they're not getting any money from me anymore lmao. I'll have my characters wearing the most basic B default outfits ✌️
You're very welcome, <3. It took me a little bit to find but also wasn't too hard to find also lol. I agree that yes business do need to make money in some way or another even though us the consumers don't agree. I also agree about not giving them money for a while also. I don't spend a lot on outfits anyway since they be quite expensive sometimes.
I would just spend on what is on sale and what I like for some of my favorite characters to wear. I mention this in another post and I was thinking about getting that trapper Krampus skin with the shards I got. Yeah it will take most of the shards I saved up but I figure that way I get it before it goes away for the year and I get it for somewhat free. But at the end of the day I shouldn't and also others have to buy a outfit right away. I just hope Bhvr changes their minds and gives us back the option of buying anything we want at a later date.

Absolutely disgusting. I could understand limiting things like Dwight-in-a-box even if I still think it's unacceptable to remove things that used to be freely available (seriously, what's the justification), but the fact that the pajama sets ended up in there is just criminal. How are those even holiday related? This is just a grab to try and get a wave of people snapping up open-shirt Felix and pajama Feng. Meanwhile, Jonah and Twins are losing an outfit in the store when they barely have any to begin with.
How anyone can defend this move, I don't understand. These kinds of cash plays were exactly what I was afraid of when they first started making noise about limited-time outfits, and I am very afraid for what they're going to see fit to remove for each other holiday or season.
Yeah, I agree what they are doing is scummy for sure. I mean if it were new outfits like you said it would be somewhat okay. Even though it would still suck but we would still have the older stuff. But no they want to take away all the older holiday event outfits and also the option of buying them at a later date.
-
@Hex_Llama said:
I know i keep saying this everywhere but I'm just so appalled by it: the onesies and the pajama sets are popular skins and they were about to be free under this new policy, so now, before that can happen, they're considered "seasonal" and getting removed from the store.
I just hate it when people do something selfish and then lie to make it sound like they're doing you a favour, you know? "Hey guys, all of the skins will be free! Except not the ones we actually want to sell. Those ones are different. Obviously."
Exactly, why said one thing and then lie about it later. I agree about companies being very annoying when they do those type of tactics.

Thanks BHVR for setting it into stone for me to never ever pay another single cent on your game! :)
Found the post you are talking about. So yeah the whole FOMO business is very sneaky and scummy.

I feel like idiot buying so many skins for this game when then they treat you like this. Taking stuff away from you and for everyone and enforcing FOMO.
Yeah the whole FOMO business tactic is very scummy for sure. But anyway I was like thinking about just getting the trapper skin even though I have to spend most of shards. But at the end day I get it for somewhat free, I guess.
So again yeah I understand how you feel. But we spend on what we like and that’s okay. But again like many others including myself would like to still have the option to buy things at a later date.

So it started with Halloween Event this year, but only for 2 skins.
Now we have Winter Event and now it will be THE WHOLE collection including all the old winter stuff.
Why stop there? All Blight themed skins will be also FOMO next Helloween event, Chinese new year skins as well, etc.
...and you can't even buy it for shards haha...
What a wonderfull idea! I know it's coming... the train allready started.
Also don't get me started on the fact that Killer (Twins) will be unplayble until next year because their bug fix is not coming sooner than early 2023!
Today DbD news are truely horrible.
I am so done.
I agree, what bhvr is doing is kind of scummy. I mean what happened to having all original outfits be able to pay in shards in? I mean all event outfits were always available at anytime but now they want us to basically spend over 100 dollars? I can’t spend and neither can anyone else spend a 100 dollars on that, especially in a video game.

This is definitely one of the worst bugs that DBD has seen in recent memory. Garden of Joy is already a pain in the ass for killer, and I played on that map the other night. Unfortunately it spawned a massive bush that appeared on the side of the killer shack that a survivor could squeeze through but not the killer, so needless to say that was annoying. 🫤
Oh I understand how you feel and yeah that bush by the shack is definitely a pain. I mean the whole Garden of Joy map is pain no pun intended, lol. But yeah this patch is really annoying that’s for sure.

@Adjatha said:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
- His power utilizes three npcs, each with their own speeds, up-times, and skills, but the killer cannot specifically pick the one they want, they have to cycle between whatever's up next, removing any tactical deployment.
- He comes to a full and complete stop when he turns on his power.
- Survivors vanish from his screen as he's using his power.
- Actually drawing out a patrol path takes time and using anything on the fly leaves the guards basically stationary.
- His guards have a delay between when they're deployed, when they appear, when they notice a survivor, and when they actually start moving.
- The survivor can see the spawn-spot where the guard will (eventually) spawn
- Survivors see the radius the guards can detect them at, allowing them to stay 100% safe at all times.
- Survivors move faster than 2 out of 3 of the guards, making it impossible to hit them with the guards unless the survivors run directly into them (despite being able to see where the guards are from a great distance).
- The guards have extremely short uptime AND have a "turn off" button in the form of a banner that can be tapped to instantly dispel the guard.
- If the survivor DOES tap the banner, they gain both Sprint Burst AND Endurance, making them both invulnerable to damage AND lets them get away from any possible repercussions
- The AI on all the guards is exactly as bad as the Nemesis Zombies - a killer released a year and a half ago and STILL not adequately fixed
Does that about sum it up? Am I missing any other weaknesses his power has? Am I mistaken on any of those?
I think you sum the Knight’s issues pretty well. But hopefully he get some more buffs to help him out.
-
@BillsHere101 said:
I'd like to know what your opinion is on the Knight so far.
I think The Knight is really weak. The idea of him and his guards are cool. Even the idea of his perks seem also cool. But I have to say that I don’t really enjoy playing as the Knight. He get destroyed super easily.
His guards again go all over the place and bugged out. His map pressure needs some work as well. Every time I place a guard they would always walk back towards me even though the guard is supposed to attack the survivors not walk away.
I really like the look of him and again the idea of him. So again he’s just not very good. His guards are also not very good either. The guards also get stuck at certain loops and windows which is also a pain to deal with. So yeah I really hope he gets some more buffs here soon.

You only have to censor names if you are down grading them with your post, or they are breaking game rules in your video. However, it's been a while since I was a mod or even used this forum for the matter, so things could have changed. I would refer to the forum rules to be safe, but last I remember: Names =/= Punishment. It's the context with the names.
However, you are free to do whatever you're comfortable with, but thought I'd quickly shed some light on the matter for you. Again, I can be wrong, it's been a while.
Thanks again for the warm comment.

Appreciate the warm response.
I'd offer some advice, but I would need to see some gameplay. Do you think there's something you're messing up with? Is it purely perks? Is it a combination? Throw me a bone here and I'll try to help you out, no promises through. Sometimes there's no winning regardless how hard you try because of certain match ups.
Well, I would like to show off some of gameplay. But I don’t know how to censor names on Ps4. I may of forgot to mention that so that is on me. But either way I appreciate the offer. I think the best way for me is to probably practice more with the bots that are coming in tomorrow. Thank you again for the offer and I appreciate it.

@NMCKE said:
I feel like we should be careful with progression and regression perks on both sides because of power creep.
Both sides will feel like they are forced to use their perks or else they will be at a disadvantage. It's literally an arms race and you're doomed if you wanna try a fun build because the other side might be using their perks.
To clarify, everyone is free to use whatever they want, but I feel like the game would be healthier if the devs restricted the regression / progression more. However, and call me biased, but survivors don't have a lot of progression perks. It's mainly killers and some outliers on the survivor side.
I get where you are coming from. I just felt that my experience the gens just seemed a more quicker then usual. I know I may come off killer sided at times. So like I said before the gens just seem a lot harder more to pressure lately. But like you said everyone can basically bring what they want. Also everyone has different experiences and that’s also okay too.

@Gandor said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/355260/can-we-nerf-the-gen-perks
This can only be paired with nerfing killer's version of the same thing - CoB, OC, (mentioned) Eruption, Deadlock, DMS, Jolt, etc. They are already way too oppressive as it is and many killers are able to hold their 3gen indefinitely (especially against players that can't coordinate perfectly) or at least prolong them long enough to exhaust all the resources on the map making it very easy game. I have seen killers win games they should have 0 agency to win - if you can't catch someone for more then a minute in chase multiple times, get multiple saves against you and are overall bad in chases - and yet you win the game because you brought 4 regression perks - then there's a question if being hard-carried by perks is healthy for the game.
Yeah,I can see those perks like you mentioned about being oppressive. I just being having different experiences with both survivor and killer matches. In those games sometimes we’ll even more so gens would tend go really fast. I also know everyone has different experiences anyway and that’s okay. I can also see how meta perks are question into thinking if they are healthy for the game or not.

most repair speed perks are pretty meh tbh only hyperfocus or item perks with kitted toolboxes are really good.
i am desperately begging people to stop comparing fogwise's inconsistent and conditional aura reading to the on demand 24/7 aura reading that was old OoO This perk is wildly overrated.
potential energy is utter garbage at it's ptb numbers and it only really does anything if killers actually just plays 1/4 of the map the whole match and lets you ferry max stacks across the map.
Interesting cause from my experience I would always have trouble with multiple prove thy selfs. Well for most of the time it would depend on what type of survivors I’m facing too. I also know everyone has different experiences and that’s okay.
But anyway I thought fogwise and potentially would be a problem according to some others. I was just misinformed by the information I read and also watched from videos on YouTube.

@Xord said:
You guys don't realize how meh killer aura reading effects are.
The only very powerful killer aura reading effetcs are those which happen during loops.
Knowing where the killer is while working on a gen is useful but not gamebreaking info, in the end, you'll just be able to know if the killer is close or not.
I know not aura perks are good. I guess was just misinformed. I thought Fogwise and potential energy according to some people said they are both a problem. But I guess they are not. I just was mistaken by the perks description.

Mainly just a hype thread. I usually play killer once in a blue moon for challenges but when ptb was up, it was nice to play a few super casual matches. This is something I see myself doing more often because of this feature.
How does everyone plan to utilize this feature if at all?
Yeah I’m also super excited, I’m also really happy to be able to practice more with characters I don’t play and also struggle with. I just hope to get better with Blight cause sometimes I would slide a lot while trying to move and whatnot.

I wish I can say what is going on but I really don’t know. I mean it might be due to being connected to each other’s internet all at once. I only say that cause sometimes bad internet connection can cause problems for sure.
I mean I know how you feel. I had penalty of matches both killer and survivor where it was super laggy. I will agree that the lag is frustrating cause it would hinder me while trying to move around. I just hope this new patch will fix it a little bit but we will see.

i'd say yes on all 3, but unless they'd have bot matches with difficulty that actually outmatch players and stay unpredictable, which is about as likely as every feature in dbd being balanced, it'd have to be reduced rewards like 75% or 50% the normal rewards
I agree Dbd does definitely has it’s moments. Since sometimes the balancing can be crazy. I like your idea of getting smaller rewards in bots and bigger reward in live matches. I think that by doing that it encourages those on what type of rewards they want from each game mode. While also giving option on what type of difficulty they want to play in as well.
-
I’m looking forward to playing the killers I don’t really play at all. Since lately I’ve been mainly playing with Ghostface, Blight, and Wesker. So adding the ones I don’t play as much and don’t play at all will help me learn more about Nurse, Plague, Hag, Billy, etc. I also think it will be super fun due to having more playability.

Slowly over time I've gotten to really hate the meat plant and most recently Midwich.
I'm actually at a point now where if I get any of these 2 maps I'm just going to camp the first hook until they decide to sort these maps out.
A person can literally run the killer for 5 gens on meat plant without even coming close to going down because of the insane amount of pallets.
Midwich why even bother trying to get to the hook when half the time you just have to drop the survivor. 1 person with breakdown could effectively render quarter of the map off limits to the killer.
I really used to hate RPD, but since the reworked version is definitely not as bad. I still don't particularly enjoy it, but it's playable unlike the other 2 I mentioned.
For me My most hated maps are Garden Of Joy or Garden Of Pain as some called it. I can't stand playing on Garden of Joy. It's way to survivor sided and way to many bushes. What I meant by survivor sided is that the map is way too big. It has way to many god loops and god like windows especially on the house. I mean usually I can handle maps like that but lately this map has been getting on my nerves.
I feel that they really need to tone the god loop areas not just Garden Joy but also I feel Garden Of Joy aka Garden of Pain ruined the Macmillan Maps too and others. The reason I bring Macmillan maps up is because at first I always really like them since they were the most balanced. But again map like the Garden need a massive rework. I feel lately these new maps and reworks aren't very balance at all. I'm sorry for the rant but I would really like to them try to rework the maps again so that they aren't abused or are in the survivor's favor all that much.
-
@Akumakaji said:
He'll yeah. I have learnt to deal with it and cope with the strong loops, clingy bushes and that hellhole of a house of pain and won a fair share of matches on this map, but that's hard earned through lots of tears and knowing when to abandon a chase (ie the survivor knows which are the strong windows) no matter what and its always a coin toss if the center gen is worth defending or just a time waster.
You can do reasonable well on most maps if you are comfortable with your killer, but even with my main my heart sinks everytime the map is revealed to be Red Forest, Eiry, Badham or Garden of Joy. Even with the game I can cope now, by playing fast an aggressive and not respecting a single palette, but the Garden is never fun.
I agree and yeah that map is definitely a coin toss for sure. I mean I know how you about certain maps. I mean each map is kind of a coin toss anyway. But every time I get the Garden I know the match will be a ride for sure. I just wish that they fix maps like the Garden to be more balanced.
