LOL. You guys really won't be happy until every survivor just jumps right onto the hooks for you the moment the game starts. Max twenty second stamina bar. That's beyond hilarious.

That'd be comparable to the killer taking two pallet hits, they gain a concussion and can't move for two minutes until they have a chance to call the Doctor over to give them a checkup. The doctor, of course, must call the nurse

Well, Doctor and a Nurse, I don't mind having two more killers in play after just 2 pallet stuns.

We already have a nerf to killers in the form of CoH.

I have a prediction that Artist eventually will become second Nurse, easy to understand, hard to master.

Pain is pretty good, other ones were ok aside from Overcome. It's unhealthy for the game and I think it's also bugged, I'm pretty sure it activates on Nemesis' infection

Played Nemesis yesterday and have a strong suspicion too. Guess it's bugged.

  • So you want survivors to become even more greedy? And even injure the others! Sounds fun, but have a serious flaw. SWF can just wait out until the very end of curse timer and just pass it. It will take nearly 5 minutes to down someone with this power... and game ends in 4 minutes :)

Honestly I'd be down to try it. He definitely needs something.

He needs something "out of the box" like a basekit buff. Just balancing his add-on won't do any good.

  • Trapper should start the game with all traps active. Now he's hardly playable with insane amount of healing around.

  • Thank, that will be useful.

  • "Re-enabled location restriction when snuffing Boon totems" does it means?

This looks like a change but I don't get it.

  • @Tr1nity said:

In theory, yes, in practice, it would be really annoying to make work, and staff might not have that time.

Sure, that's why I mentioned approved volunteers. Giving community instruments to effectively detect, record and report cheating can improve player loyalty and make game more popular. Once system is up and running - it will discourage cheating.

While S.O.S. button can deal with some unwanted situations automatically.

Oh we do have a Auto-Ban....for DCs which sadly can hurt normal players who don't cheat and when a cheater DDOS or just lags you out and you DC and get a auto ban

Just using VPN can prevent most if not all unwanted Disconnects. If something goes wrong, you get lag spike and freeze for 3-5 seconds and still able to play. Sometimes lag remain for the entire trial, but that's better than 0 points and DC penalty.

  • @RoachesDelight

    Why just hackers?

Toxic people with multiple accounts, that DC every time game goes bad or even killer cary them to the hook.

People who want to run 2 games at the same time. Testing their builds, cheating or just exploring the maps for totem spawns and other things. Now they don't need to buy second account or ask a friend to help with the custom game.

So queue waiting time goes up. Amount of DC from the game too :(

So basically I've been meaning to make these into long, fully-fledged forum posts that are usual of me (breaching into the 3k words each), but I really can't be bothered to put in that much effort into being so negative so I'm just going to essentially paste them all out here. This is just so I can get out all of my frustration and invite some feedback into what I can do to have more fun (saying to just change my mindset and lose continuously isn't the answer because, believe me, I've tried it).

    antiloop killers

The decision to move most killer design to anti-loop no mobiliy was a stupid idea. Genuinely. It's massively encouraged the hold W strategy, prevented decent map adjustments being made, and also made survivors learn to play better. The counter to these killers is to split up on gens and hold M1 for 80 seconds, have the trial over and done with quickly, and due to their lack of movement they can't compete, but on the flip side they can also have near-instant chases if you try to loop them. Therefore maps must stay large so this counter can keep working, and it's really frustrating. Instead of fixing the core issue of map design and gen speeds, bandaid upon bandaid was slapped on until it's created a stack which can't all be ripped off at once due to the work required and effects that could have.

    boon totems

When I say boon totems, I don't mean all of them. Yes, I think Shadow Step is frustrating, and Exponential could be awful with Power Struggle, but both don't seem too obnoxious. I'd like a minor hit to them, but that's it.

Circle of Healing, however- this perk needs to perish. Imminently. I honestly wouldn't hesistate to call it the best survivor perk in the game, beating out even Dead Hard, due to the utility it has. 16 seconds to heal. 8 seconds to heal someone else. It can come into play every 14 seconds and can be spread out across the entire map. "That's 14 seconds they're not on gens-" it doesn't matter, because of the time it takes for you to find and then snuff them. Even when I win, it doesn't feel fun anymore.

    realm beyond

Ormond was a good change, mostly. I still hate breakable walls but I've made my peace that I'm never seeing them go.

Everything else was not. Maps do not look as good as they used to, optimisation has vanished like a receipt on the wind, the fog just looks like someone's been running a car engine for a bit too long nearby, the atmosphere has vanished, and everything is so much darker (except for coldwind, which has taken the advice of the Weeknd a bit too literally and become blinded by the lights, apparently). Old dbd had this certain charm to it's art direction, and new dbd just... doesn't. The higher poly models are nice, as are the character updates, but the animation changes and general map changes were just not it.

Also, why did you remove the blue from Macmillan, see people complaining, then seemingly out of spite quadruple the amount of green on Autohaven? It looks like a samoyed that's just been rolling on a freshly mown lawn lmao

    sbmm

Honestly the reason I made this post, SBMM is the bane of my existence. A metaphorical and literal fun sponge, worming it's way into our games as proof that the devs who supported this don't play or understand their game, nor do they listen to the community. People were saying for over a year this was a terrible idea that wouldn't work, and they can all feel smug about themselves because they were right, it doesn't. There's too much to keep track of in a match, and the algorithm does none of it. Rank-based matchmaking was bad, and as a measure of skill the Emblem System really wasn't great, but they were so much better, and so much fun, than this dumpsterfire.

It only keeps track of escapes and kills. That's it. That's all it does. This took them years to decide that's the skillful criteria, except oh no maybe Hatch shouldn't count.

    Y e a r s

I'm just- I cannot express how much I despise this system, and how unfun it's made this game for me, as both killers and survivors. It's forced a hypercompetitive mindset onto players, and even at lower MMR (at least with my losing streak of throwing games as hard as possible I bloody well hope I'm at low MMR by now) people have decided that they want survivors to be in the trial for as little time as possible, so it's time to either relentlessly tunnel someone as quickly as they can, or facefuck gens as fast as is physically possible, and once more it's just not fun.

That's what I'm trying to get at here, anyway; regardless of what Big Data:tm: is telling you on the success of SBMM, you have said several times in QnA Streams (I should know, I summarised them) that you listen to community feedback on how things feel in the game alongside the data. People have been telling you it feels awful and you've done, what? Forced the system onto us anyway in it's half-baked state, no more capable of determining skill then a goldfish with it's eyes shut? Not reverted the changes and instead sat back to watch the carnage unfold? You've reverted things before- think 1.9.2- and this is something that could be done on the backend so you could very easily disable it until you've got a better deciding factor than just kills and escapes minus hatch.

I'm sorry if this is hardly constructive but I just cannot physically comprehend who greenlit this and thought it was a good idea?! People were telling you it would flop, why would you implement it regardless?! It's just so frustrating to see a game I've supported for years, and has been with me as I grow up, continue to be beaten down and down again by bad decisions- one step forwards and then you catapault yourself backwards down thirty flights of stairs before landing ungracefully into a river.

Not to mention the effect it's had on content creators, who are one of the main sources for new content in the game. They clearly don't like the system- at least from what I've been hearing- and neither do a majority of the vocal players on Twitter and these Forums (I can't speak for other socials, as I don't use them, and it's entirely possible that the SBMM enjoyers are lurking quietly in the shdadows). It's made games more unfun and exposed the deep imbalances in the game's design- which is good I guess?- but these imbalances are so deep-rooted with so many bandaid perks that they can't actually be fixed without managing to break everything else.

I absolutely despise this system. It's really, really unfun, and I don't see myself playing for all too much longer.

I've finished the Rift, and I feel like that's me tagging out for now. I can't bring myself to want to play more than three games a day.

    -

I took a week break, came back a couple days ago because I was feeling better, and already feel myself hating this. This game is intrinsically frustrating to play on both sides, no matter how hard I try to have fun or how many friends I play with and stream to. It's the only game that's ever kept me for this long, but I feel like bad decision after bad decision, stale design after stale design, are all pushing me away.

I really want to keep liking this game, but I'm just so frustrated with everything that I'm not sure I can.

    Agee with you.

"Gens pop too fast" - lack of mobility and map control. Slow moving killers have bad time now.

Boons are foul sorcery and witchcraft that must no exit in... such dark place as Entity's realm. CoH ruins builds and tactics that exited for years. I'm tired with amount of second chances survivors have. Once hex is gone, it's gone, but somehow boons are just return. 14 sec of "not doing the gens" is nothing when all 4 survivors instantly heal up and undo all the killers work done in two minutes.

Since using VPN I have a luxury to abort the game if I hear 3 boons done at the start of the game. Because there is no reason to try, no perk, power and amount of gen regression can't save you from brutal defeat at the hands of toxic bug abusers. And CoH is the worst bug in the game.

Some maps are now furstating, guess I like the old ones. RPD is good by design, unique in it's idea, but not fun to play.

MMR is strange. Sometimes you can get a bunch of contrast - two good players, that loop you around half map, are paired by two newbies, who seen Nemesis for the first time and don't know what to do, even to the point of staying near the hook to quickly end their suffering. First 2 minutes, minus 2 newbies, next 7 minutes chasing two good players who have no chances of doings gens because you don't want to be easy on them. Match result - 4 sacrificed, your MMR goes up. Good players go down, to face newbies who forget to check is the game is started already. Hello long wait times. Okay, I once started quque, got phone call and by the time I returned to PC 3 gens was done already, yet people was running around me... and got brutally murdered. Guess my MMR went up after AFK for 3 minutes and 4 sacrafices.

  • CoH range must be equal to Killers ability to hear that humming. I'm getting tired by seeing survivors heal but not knowing where is that foul witchcraft thing is.

It must be a circle, not orbital bombardment crater.

8 meters around the boon totem should be fine.

And no healing in the basement when this cursed thing is on the second floor above it.

Finding it in RPD is a real nightmare.

I wasn’t really complaining. I was just asking if that’s what you meant with that example. Sorry I got confused I didn’t know if you meant a killer has to use all 3 of their own perks and two different ones or a killer has to at least use one of their own perks and 4 different ones. I was cool with just allowing them to use whatever 5 they wanted honestly anything that makes the game more balanced and fun for both sides

No problem :) It's all little bit confusing.

General idea is Any 4 + 1 of own 3. So if Killer want all 3 own perks in his build - that leaves another 2 perk slots for anything they want.

So like for nurse: ruin, corrupt, undying, tinker and thano would be fine?

Yes. Just do bones. Ruin and Undying us too easy to remove early. Corrupt lasts 2 minutes and it's gone.

In the end it's just a nurse with Tinkener and Thanatophobia.

  • @deKlaw_04 said:

Oh yeah I like going up against a nurse and blight. Spirit give me the most trouble out of anyone because I play solo and she doesn’t really give u a ton of time to do bones with how mobile she is. I also have problems with her phase walk but I have fun against her. The games would be closer with 5 perks. Could you imagine the disgusting builds with 5 perks ? Ruin/ Undying/ Corrupt/ devour hope/ tinker or bbq. I think it would be so fair and fun

If 5th perk is only from starting 3 for each killer there won't be any troubles.

Survivors will know what killer got, since not selecting another perk when you actually can... that's silly.

  • @GuyFawx said:

Killers have 6 perks as their addons are essentially also perks not every killer mind you but a lot of them. I cant see them ever increasing the perk count on only killer as it would seriously disrupt the games semi functioning balance

Add-ons as perks? Are you joking? Indeed some add-ons function as basic version of perks, but they are not equal.

Survivors can farm items and their add-ons, store them for later and use when needed. Killers get theirs add-ons exclusively from Bloodweb and once used in the trial - they are gone.

  • 5 Perks? What I want - any 4 + 1 of the starting ones.

It's strange that Killer polished his talents just to forget all of them in favour of all another.

Having one of 3 native perks plus 4 standard ones would be better.

  • I have sinned.

Shown mercy to survivors, even one that held god cursed flashlight.

Body blocked 2 man SWF inside room in Saloon and waited till not aware solo survivors open the gates. Released both 15 sec prior End Game Collapse, but they didn't make it to the gates in time.

I don't play by "Killer rules" or "Survivors rules", but rather just trying to have some fun.

Oh and I use Hex : VPN to prevent any unwanted disconnects.

  • There are too many health states.

If survivor isn't injured it can loop and:

*Take hit and gain speed boost.

*Use Dead Hard to reach pallet/vault.

*Heal with medkit after vaulting/pallet and apply some nasty add-on effects like endurance, speed boost, instant healing as the time have passed.

*Wait for someone to take protection hit and body block you.

*Lure you not just into the pallet but to a friend with flashlight or flashbang.

*Boon with CoH can be blessed near while you run. If he somehow heal, even if hit immediately - that's another speed boost.

*When downed he can crawl to unused pallet or stay near vault location to force you double vault, wasting more time.

Now combine all of that. No hooks, bad mood, all gens done. "ezgg"

  • Looping can be different, including toxic too!

    Let me explain:

*Player is good at chases and looping - he tries to brake LoS and escape. That's basic type. It's how you play the game.

*Player that is really good at looping and knows how your killer works. By standing in the open or slowly waling he tries to attract your attention and steal your time. Once you get close he runs to the loop. That's advanced gameplay.

*Player that is confident to the point of [Bad Word], he's doing jungle gym or L-loop with his eyes closed. Instead of hiding or pretending that you find him, he just runs straight to you until there are some distance left, just enough for him to turn around and get into the loop. That's toxic. Extra toxic with clicky-clicky and teabagging.

  • @ImBrakingBike said:

A shapeshifter that could momentarily mimic the appearance of survivors

Legion with Insidious. Once last gen is left and you feel the game is over - stand by the gate facing the lever, wait for the running sounds behind your back... yep that's silly, but sometimes it works.

  • @Shenlong1904 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2665681#Comment_2665681

Oof. I feel bad cuz everyone here is thinking I'm new to the game. I already have 1K hours and EVERY survivor perk unlocked on survivor. It's just I was messing around trying to get the most bloodpoints. I had deliverance, for the people, prove thyself and WGLF.

    Sorry for that.

Guess phrase "I have 3 mostly worthless perks and prove thyself for bloodpoints, no items, and the default cosmetics" was confusing.

Having all the perks unlocked is good, but once you find you setup, about 10 of them can be used. Rest are bloodpoint sink.

But do try Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Empathy and something for the 4th slot. Minimum effort but works good.

  • @CashelP14

Watching videos is good, but muscular memory is better. And to get better he need to practice.

    @Shenlong1904

And as perks to unlock from the beginning... Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Empathy, Plunderer's Instinct make a good setup.

Sprint Burst can be really beneficial when Killer choses target, simply running in opposite direction as the other survivor with flashlight went can save you multiple times.

Iron Will negate sounds you make when injured so even wounded you can try to hide and wait out. With all the clicky-clicky that's doable.

Empathy is one of the best aura readings, you know where to apply heal, when someone is wounded. And most importantly - it shows where the killer WAS. Every time someone show up via Empathy - guess, that's Killers work and he is close.

Why Plunderer's Instinct? Because you don't waste time finding the chest, get better items (don't save up, bring them every trial, you are going to find more). Also you will know where the basement is (chest bellow ground) and was it looted or not.

SWF gets a lot of information, so you should too.

  • Sadly to hear it, but 2-3 man SWF group consider others as expendable resources.

And for a Killer you are just another unfortunate and "easy" victim. They can be enraged by clicky-clicky, binds and pallet stuns. So when SWF is turning killer into bloodthirsty bull who jumps on anything he can get... guess who's wearing a "red shirt"?

Just calm down, try to stay far from swf and the killer, even if it means NOT contributing to the first generator you all find from the start.

Also try to "dodge" lobby when you can predict uncomfortable gameplay. Queue time goes up, but it's better to leave the lobby.

  • People are getting mad about the amount of points they can farm.

Some even get toxic and try to abuse the killers in every way and tell them to "uninstall the game".

And all trying harder. Consider it's like something worthy is at stake, but during the event you just double.

That brings more and more SWF groups in. And that's bad for solo survivors. When 2-3 man SWF groups plays, other 1-2 survivor... well, they aren't part of the team, so they are resources to slow down killer (like a pallet), no one likes to play as "redshirt" and be expendable.

Also consider drop/rise on amount of network issues.

So bloodhunt is good but not too often.

And some long term players (not me personally) almost don't need extra bloodpoints.

As I just said, there's just one problem with this specific situation: Discordance would have done the same thing, and also work for the rest of the game.

Additionally, not only Discordance is a very good perk for Nemesis, by using it to find survivors at the start, they would think you had Lethal Pursuer since you were Nemesis and guess your perks wrong because of it, not realizing you were using Discordance.

Thanks for advice :) Discordance can mostly preform better in long term and have a good synergy with PoP.

Yet I haven't even unlocked it from Legion, so it's going to take some time.

And yes making survivor think you got one perk when you got another is a great way to make some unpleasant surprises :)

  • Sometimes they got cornered or even simply spotted. But that action doesn't make any sense. It just ends with hit/grab.

  • Finding the Hatch is not a problem.

There are two offerings that give you a clue where it will spawn - Annotated Blueprint and Vigo's Blueprint. Just pay attention.

Still closing hatch doesn't mean that last survivor is doomed. Nope, there are two gates for him to run.

Even mercy can occur after hatch was closed. And it's not that rare. Or you can close it in their face and hook. Or both close it in their face and still grant mercy.

Once Jill found key in the basement and open hatch that I have closed. In my face :)

    A lot of possibilities.

This. Right here. I am so tired of seeing people so quick to give BHVR a pass. If they really arent the ones in charge of fixing the game, if they cant address the following issues due to a higher up's instruction, then redirect this rant to whomever is in charge. People have been getting DDoSed for about a month, probably more now, and it's been absolute radio silence, other than a throwaway article in a blog no one has ever read. then there are hackers galore, especially in the higher mmr games (not that i have experienced it because im not that good, but there's too much evidence to ignore). And now, not to mention the numerous bugs in the game (ex: still a glitch in dead dawg saloon, where survivors can hijack the game by waiting on the cart near the gallows that a non-ranged killer cant reach or access. thus, they cant be killed, but they also wont do gens, so the game cant progress).

fix the game-breaking problems and people will be happy. and if people are happy, they will spend money, which is apparently their end goal. it's not rocket science.

Against DDoS just use Hex : VPN. There's no other feeling joyful and hateful at the same time, as recovering from heavy lag and freeze just to continue the trial.

As for Dead Dwag Saloon, survivors using that glitch are more rare than Deathslinger after the nerf. Plus I figured out how to get there and make them cry.

  • Lethal Pursuer can simply decide how game goes on.

Nemesis, Dragon's Grip, Make Your Choice, add-on for 15sec undetectable after killing zombie.

4 survivor doing gen in Killer's shack. They hear terror radius near, but it's gone... next second Nemesis enters the shack by vaulting the window. Dwight got grabbed by the gen and put on hook next to the shack's corner. Gen is kicked, William "Bill" Overbeck tries to finish the gen and Dragon's Grip is active on him, almost immediately he exit the game. So only 3 survivors left. Person who unhook Dwight got exposed by Make Your Choice and put on the hook. That was a first minute of the trial - 2 hooks and one DC.

If not Lethal Pursuer they would finish the gen and spread across the map.

  • Huntress "Goat" skin.

    Oni "Minotaur" skin.

    Grey Meg Thomas.

  • There is info field, in my steam profile mentioning that I have "network issues" in DbD lately. But I turned my Hex: VPN on before leaving info. Yes I'm horrible person.

  • I got around 60 trials during the bloodhunt. Most of them was on Wraith, Nemesis and Meg Thomas.

While Meg mostly got sacrificed... Wraith was nice to jump scare and fun to play, but Nemesis was shining like a diamond. On him I got really fun trial again Adam Francis. Trial that I will remember, hope he does too.

Unfortunately using Bloody Party Streamers made survivor play unfair. Before I got VPN up and running they managed to DC me out of the game, so I got 0 bloodpoints for 2 offerings.

  • Okay, story about tunneling.

    (Warning a lot of text)

Map - Father Campbell's Chapel, my killer - Nemesis with Make your choice and Dragon's grip. Hero of the day - Adam Francis.

I down exposed Adam near Circus, hook him, shortly after he gets off hook and I down and hook him again. Finally I'm chasing some one else but Adam gets in the way wounded... no that's not like the story ends.

Once I pick up poor "tunneled" Adam, Decisive Strike cancel my plan of putting him on the third hook. Then he's gone, became the ghost :)

Tried getting him out by Dragon's Grip on gen I knew he was working, but utterly failed to do so. Adam became Dwight :)

At the end there was only two survivors left, one of them was Adam, his luck ended and I downed him. Just not to "tunnel" him again, he was left to slug there and finished the other survivor.

But the story goes on... I returned to Adam's resting place only to find out that he's gone. Adam survived because of the Hatch. But not in the way you all expected. While I found and closed the hatch Adam managed to crawl a solid distance to the far gate, avoiding me.

So now it ends. Adam got 3 deaths coming for him. Bleeding out (about 10 sec left), End Game Collapse (less than a minute) and Me :) But seeing poor Adam struggling to the last (and not being one of the S.T.A.R.S.), my heart melted, I picked him up, let wiggle out and open the gate. He slugged out to freedom having both last seconds of bleeding and End Game Collapse.

    See you Adam :)

That's some seriously bad VPN you're using if it's quadrupling your ping. Like, just by the way networking works and server locations, it shouldn't add that much to your connection times...

Well, but it works preventing disconnecting from the match.

Problem with the ping is just because that's free VPN. Paid version have much larger variation of server location.

  • Dead Hard is so broken that it actually punishes killers who use VPN to play dead by daylight!

Yep, Dead Hard works against VPN. I'm not joking.

With VPN off - I can have some "network issues" but ping is 40+

With VPN on - Not a single DC during 60 bloodhunt trials, but ping goes up to 120+

And with ping over 100 I get short end of the stick during hit validation.

That's just insanely broken and overpowered.

  • Guess November 30th but BHVR knowns better about their release dates.

  • @Pizzasauce said:

Okay so I am good if I wait a week and then play again? I just dont want to try tonplay immediately after my penalty time is over and disconnect on that first match to find myself with an even heftier penalty.

Yes. And wait for next patch (chapter) to see if your penalty is still there after the update.

  • How about another one?

    "Seal Fate"

Name yourself "abuser" or "toxic", grab flashlight, get abused, tunneled and camped.

  • Let's get it summarised:

Goes up - consecutive DCs during one week.

Goes down - playing trials without DCs or waiting (penalty time + up to 7 days).

Also possible reset during major patches (next chapter).

  • Wraith needs his expose and instant down abilities nerfed... wait, he don't have any :)

Wraith is mostly for fun and jumpscares. Hit and run works bad against well coordinated SWF.

His only strength again boons - he's fast in stealth and can dedicate some time to finding and snuffing totems. But get 2-3 CoH up and he's doomed.

  • I found info that DC penalties stack up for every disconnect during the week.

Also penalty level drops for playing without disconnecting but not for time spent. It's about number of trials played without DC.

I personally never gone so far (72).

I suspect that penalty can reset back to 5 min after next patch (still need confirmation).

  • We mostly have 2 types of disconnects that fall for DC penalties.

    * "ragequits" or any other reasons to exit the trial before it ends.

    * "Network issues" (use VPN)

The more you disconnect from the game for any reason - penalty grows. It's hard to predict "network issues" so just not leaving your game can keep you safe most of the time.

Penalty goes down when you don't DC for some time, online or offline. But if you have 24 hours of penalty - it doesn't go down during that 24 hours.

  • Just to inform you - VPN really works against DDoS problem.

It's just a matter of ping while using it.

Before VPN got 2 lag-DC during one hour.

Turned VPN on - 36 trials without being disconnected.

Got lag and freeze once, but wasn't dropped from the game.

Now I can enjoy the game, hope others will too.

Can't botters just grab all the free accounts and free copies of the game and then wait until that period is over to do all the cheating? To my understanding, it's not "DBD will have a free trial on Epic Game Store." It's "DBD will be eligible for you to keep for free forever on Epic Game Store."

We need some system that will automatically detect and remove any unfair benefits that player somehow got.

They see auras when they shouldn't? - ability to see any auras removed for one trial, if effect persists (guess it wasn't a bug) double the time for the penalty, again? - double it again. Like with current DC and leaving a game.

So on with speed, healing, etc.

Any items must have unique ID from where it originates. Taken by some player at the start, crafter in lockers, found in chest... if Id doesn't exist just make him drop item and forbid usage.

Player teleports from one locker to another? - make him enter the locker with 3 minutes long animation with idle caws :)

And of course logs of such events.

One thing I imagine they could do is implement advanced analytics. It may be difficult to detect cheat software itself, but it should be trivial to detect the effects of certain cheats in the game. Speedhacks, gen progression hacks, attack cooldown hacks, hacks to hit survivors across the map, all at once, to kill everyone instantly, hacks to blind killers on command and indefinitely, to go from hooked to unhooked 10 times within a second, all of this type of stuff can quickly be identified just by having some intelligence in the game that can distinguish between things that are physically possible according to game rules and mechanics, and those that are not. A survivor is running at 4.1m/s or a killer at 4.7? There's nothing in the game that could allow for that to happen. Mark them for a ban. And that's obviously just a simple example where no extra intelligence is needed to make that call, just something to monitor movement speeds.

They wouldn't necessarily have to instantly ban on the grounds of something physically impossible happening of course, sometimes bugs could cause them to happen. Depends on the amount of intelligence in the detection system too, but either way they could mark the players, and if it happens more than 3 times or whatever, then ban them. Or they could simply mark them for further inspection.

Why banning for speed hack? Just apply permanent hinder by 50% untill trial ends. That would work and make cheating useless with any amount of accounts.

    Two things

Firstly killers are leaving that's why que times are so long, also console players are turning off their cross play so they don't have to deal with hackers which would cause even longer que times.

Secondly about noed, why do you cry about it? You don't do the bone which is the survivors 2nd objective and you have many perk that literally track totems. Oh wait I know why you don't use a tracking totem perks you don't want to lose your 2nd chance perk. New flash noed is the killer's 2nd chance perk. Killers have a right to play with 2nd chance perks as well.

There is a disturbance is survivor understanding of reality during the trials...

They see easy killer, run around him, stun, blind, clicky-clicky, teabag, abuse... gens done, reality changes:

NOED, No Way Out, Blood Warden, Remember Me :)

  • If NOED pops up and you don't know where it is - run, Run for your life. Split and try to open both gates.

I like to play Clown with NOED. Feels good. They run, they hide, they fear, as it should be from the beginning.

... unless totem is cleansed. Several times it spawned near the gate, easy seen when opening :(

  • @TwitchyMike Congratulations!

But to perfect survivor skills you need to play killer more ;)
