Excuse me, I do exist! I can only infect so many people at a time, mind you, but I'm here!
-
I was just about to make a post on this. I thought I was being gen blitzed due to it the first time I noticed it.
-
Of course we should. But that's a genuine QoL change, and we know how much BHVR despises QoL changes.
-
@Myla said:
Yep queue time is longer than survivor's which is bizzare lol.
It's not. Pinhead just dropped, so there are people trying to play him. This happens with every killer release for the following weeks.
-
If Plague has her Corrupt puke, she may take it in the first hit. Isn't it supposed to be highly corrosive? If not, Nemesis breaks her. Unless he likes her normal puke. Who knows, Vile Purge my make his virus mutate further.
-
If all you're doing is running into Wraith, then you haven't broken into the higher ranks as of yet. Wraith is a pub stomper atm. You don't see him much in higher ranks.
-
No.
-
It was the same when Doc was reworked. Suddenly everybody was using Calm Spirit for the next two weeks. Or with Twins, they simply hold Victor hostage. Competent survivors will use any loophole provided, as they should.
-
Everybody is trying to play Pinhead. It's this way with every new killer. Give it a week and it'll settle down.

MMR didn't happen today its on the 8th
O? My bad. I assumed since the new rank symbols are out, MMR is here.
-
@Heartbound said:
Maybe that's why they implemented MMR with this one.
Except I'm still thrown against sweaty survivors. Since he's brand new, shouldn't everybody be on the same playing field for the moment?
-
You can play a full match?
-
One issue I think the devs run into is the dcing. I'm going to guess that a good amount of her 'wins' are because one or more of the survivors simply dc/die on first hook when facing her, instead of actually playing. Makes data gathering pretty difficult.
-
@Peanits said:
Nope: The first version of SBMM only used kills and escapes to calculate your rating, but it did not work out so it was quickly scrapped. The current system takes a number of different factors into account when deciding when your rating should go up or down (and by extension, by how much).
Basically, the way it's calculated is complex, and the goal is to have you "win" in about half your matches.
1) What counts as a 'win?'
2) Will we ever know what factors are taken into account?

Considering that his power allows him to get free first hits and close in distances during chase, this would make Wraith WAY weaker. Just give him an add-on pass.
The only survivors that allow free hits are those that can't see the shimmering blob coming to them.

Yes, the big effort of following the "Pressure here"-Sign from Tinkerer. Which is the biggest problem, because Tinkerer completely removes the need of any Map Awareness when it comes to "Which Gen is being worked on?".
Like Spine Chill?
-
Elodie has a god awful scream. It grates on my ears every time I hook her. A quick smack shuts that up. Nothing against the player (most of the time), it's just that I need to cut that audio.
-
Even with the lighter workload, just watch. The patch notes will be a page, maybe a page and a half, mostly filled with tiny fixes that nobody really cares about.
-
Is the killer in chases? Or are the survivors hiding the entire time? Because if that's the case, that's holding the game hostage and a bannable offense.
-
I don't see why not. This game is pretty toxic at its core. It's more difficult as a killer main, since most of the time, it's just you vs them. So that type of mentality is easier to fall into.
But then, it's not my responsibly, or my job, to see that others enjoy the match. If I want to put in the extra effort, so be it. At the same time, I don't expect other people to go out of their way so that I enjoy the match. We get what we put in.
-
Maybe it's not in the contract. Or the devs think it's fine. Most likely the latter.
-
@giga said:
Or you can not be a sweat lord that needs a 4k every match and just play...you know...for fun? The choice is yours buddy.
Only to get teabagged at exit by survivors who only run meta perks.
-
So because you run into a killer more often than others, they need a nerf? I run into the same meta builds by survivors, can we nerf those just because of that?
Then again, they did rework Ruin because it was used so much. . .
-
I mean, we all know who's the balance dev for this game, so can you honestly say you're surprised?

Already disproven. Perceptive killers will know when someone has spine chill, look at Otz, and be able to counter it.
You can't take one persons skill and use it as a blanket statement for everybody else. Also, streamers themselves shouldn't be used as examples in this case. They spend hours a day playing, most people don't.
Nor is DH and Tinkerer good comparisons. One is distance, the other is information.
Yes, Coup 'can' be used on DH, but for one, it only has five uses against at least three survivors running DH, and two, DH only shines when it's used to reset loops. Which Coup can't negate.
-
@Yatol said:
they care
They care 'only' when it affects their pocket books. Which is why I don't see any major upgrades or changes for awhile, since they got a fat haul with the Resident Evil license. Just watch. The patch notes for Pinhead will have maybe a dozen small bug changes, and that'll be it.
-
@Gamedozer7 said:
There needs to be a second objective imo. Like needing a part to finish the last 10% of a gen or having to do something else because I don't think making gens long is the right awnser I hate doing gens when I play survivor
Which is why I like Pinhead right now. The secondary objective needs to be completed, or the entire team suffers. Sure, it needs to be tweaked, but the passive nature of it is nice.

This map(RPD) should be deleted, paradise for killers
Excuse me? It's a literal hellscape for killers. The only killers that can try to make it work are stealth killers, and that's ONLY if they force a three gen situation. It's actually a more survivor sided map. The size alone is the best defense.
-
@Clevite said:
I can agree with you. On both sides, afk killers are just as boring.
Like why ready up if you're not going to play?
For me personally, there are just some matches that make me lose any motivation to push on. If the server connection is poor, and everybody is teleporting, well, I won't even try. If it's a clicky clicky squad, and I just want to chill, they can have fun holding M1 on a gen while I go fluff my cats cheeks.
-
Not quit whole sale, just backed off. I'll go days without touching it, then run a few matches for one or two nights. The game is stale.
-
@Brhoom said:
This isn't insane nor should it be endorsed, this is simply broken on good Nurse mains.
Nurse and Hag players are the worst of this community and it is baffling how they are still ignored balance wise.
Your multiple second chance perks vs One Godly Nurse.
-
*Laughs in Sumerian*
-
It depends on how the match went. If there was a lot of back and forth, with no toxicity, sure, I can accept it.

Sure, play however you want, just don't go on the forums and say that the game wants you to win as fast as possible because it doesn't, but just because it doesn't, doesn't mean you can't play however you want. I keep telling people that I'm fine with camping and tunneling, just not the false info.
Again, looking too deeply into this. Lore is just the story, and a convoluted mess of one for this game as it is. Take it with a grain of salt.

The game very clearly states and implies that the job of the Killer is to torture the survivors slowly and after they've been drained of all their hope then they deliver the killing blow. Like I said in the post that people obviously misunderstood, I don't care what you or anyone does in this game but stop oversimplifying the objective of the game. Yes, you need to kill the survivors but that's not the only objective.
I think you're looking too deeply into this, bud.
Besides, if I camp you, and your team blitz's gens and leaves, that survivor I camped lost all hope. Thus, I did my job.

So, survivors' objective is to survive? Not to do gens, just to survive, that is to hide in grass and wait for the hatch to open, right?
Doing gens gets them out of the trial. Hence, surviving.
-
It's not false, though? Their objective is in the name. Killer. Who kills people. How they go about it is up to them. Because they kill people.
-
Their failure to be an adequate dev team. It's always irked me at just how slow they are to respond to. . . well, anything. Bugs are unresolved for years, map issues are glossed over, killers are given janky abilities, SWF is ignored, solo q is left to stagnate, perks just sit in an ever growing heap.
They do the bare minimum every few months with a one page list of fixes, put their feet up, and act like they've done something. Then half the things they do do break down almost immediately.
I just don't get why they can't give weekly fixes. Doesn't need to be much, just perk tweaks, or a few bug fixes here and there, instead of having to wait for the patch every two months. Or why they can't stomp out bugs for good. Iron Will STILL has the no audio bug, and it's been in the game for over a year. Dead Heard can still activate, and do nothing. Heck, Nurse is a walking bug herself.
This game has no serious competition. I think that's why they aren't in any hurry to change their habits. I remember hoping Predator Hunting Grounds would be that competition. Man, I had high hopes for that game.
-
He's still an M1 killer. Just be aware of your surroundings. He doesn't have true invisibility at closer ranges, so you can still spot him. Loop him like any other killer.
-
The survivor has already made the decision that they want a fast game. So, I give them what they want. It's a 1v1 at that point.
-
Really comes down to the killer and map you're on. In most cases, you want to know where the gens spawned the moment you pop into a map, and think about which you can force together. If you can get three or four gens that are nearby, that should become your zone of pressure. Try and force the game into that area.
-
Even the AI knows that's the valid play for killers.
-
I dislike that you need another perk to get use out of it. Hex perks themselves are trash in my book, aside from NOED, only because of the horrendous RNG of spawn points. I hate relying on RNG over skill to get use out of something, so I just don't use them unless I'm doing some memeing.
As for Ruin itself, it's meh. Only useful on killers that can keep up pressure, or small maps. Practically useless on others.
-
I've mostly stopped, aside from a match or two every other day. The devs are what killed my drive. They don't care about their product, so why should I?
-
I like the map. I just won't play it. It's a terrible map in everything but aesthetics and nostalgia.
-
As is the word Tea.
-
You're forgetting one key element when mentioning survivor perks.
SWF. Whenever something new comes out that people claim is going to be OP, at the top, or near it, is because of how SWF can use it. They may not use it well, but they sure as heck use it better than most solos.

I’ve been playing her so much lately that I alone probably kept her from being least played.
Excuse me, that would make two of us here.
-
@Aven_Fallen I'm not sure I see your point. Discussing a map is bad because. . . entitlement? You can't discuss something, or share opinions, unless your life is difficult?
-
@Aven_Fallen And yet, that still doesn't change how poorly made the map is.
