  • All Hex perks, aside from NOED, are wastes of perk slots. They are far too unreliable to be used consistently, and most are trash. Undying just allows a mediocre perk to remain around a little longer. It was actually useful before the nerf. After? No thank you. Slap something else into that slot.

  • Real stats, which can be broken down into categories, or dev stats, which take a lump sum without anything else to go on?

  • I've only had it twice in the last two weeks, once as survivor, earlier as killer.

  • This is one thing that actively bugs me. If it's done to me, I WILL tunnel you out of the game.

  • 'The things you should complain about are Spirit, Nurse, Ruin + Undying, Wraith and OP Myers addons. Killer is the power role in this game if you know how to play it.'

By that statement, I'm assuming you have less than 200 hours in the game, and settle around green ranks in survivor play?

  • Is this satire?

If not, well, that's fine. If you enjoy it, good for you. Don't assume everybody else does, though. Especially seeing as the few times I've pulled it, half the team, or killer, dcs. It's a terrible map from a DbD perspective. Everything I hate from maps like Red Forest and Haddonfield, tied in a pretty RE bow.

  • Why not have her white noise play over her terror radius? That way you know when she's phasing, not just standing there staring.

    Menacingly.

  • @BrokenSouI Out of curiosity, what makes him 'fun as hell' to play? Not judging, just really curious. As OP stated, you get more bang for your buck out of Huntress. Trickster is flashy, sure, but you put in more effort for less payoff.

  • This comes down to BHVR's biggest problem.

Their extremely slow work pace. When it takes a game studio months, in most cases years, to fix issues that are plaguing the game, you have a serious problem. Unfortunately, the DbD doesn't have competition, so the devs have no need to actually push out quality work.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

So far this is great they fixed tricksters biggest problem they may not have fixed grabs but I’m happy there’s a fix for it

They didn't, though. You're still hamstrung with Main Event. It takes him 30 seconds just to catch up to a survivor who is put into the injured state. So, the increase in activation time is moot. If they really wanted too fix it, they'd let you store it until you activate it yourself. At least then, you have control over your own power.

  • Still no key fix either. Wonderful.

You can now! Admittedly, a 30 second window isn't too long in the grand scheme of things, but it should be enough to get up close. Plus, now with 6 knives to damage and Main Event's high fire rate, it should be much more dangerous.

Sure, but he's still a 110% killer. Every obstacle in the game blocks his knives. It takes him 30 seconds alone to catch up to a survivor after a hit.

I'm not saying the buffs aren't nice, but again, I'm still hamstrung by his limitations with his own power.

  • I still don't understand why you can't activate Main Event on your own time. Most of the time when it's ready to use, I've already either A) downed the survivor or B) there is no chance of it being used properly.

  • You didn't mention the hatred you're going to garner from survivors who cry over 'but the hatchet hitboxes!'

  • No. Devs don't see it as a priority. Focus is on cosmetics, like usual.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/262711/the-only-thing-i-can-think-of-as-a-reason-for-all-of-the-sweaty-killers-and-gen-rushing-survivors-is

Okay gen rushing isn’t a thing lol. Survivors have one objective so what would you suggest they do? Wait in a corner until the killer says “go”? Do you see how absurd that sounds? “Hey everyone, let’s take a few minutes and wait until the killer is ready to begin playing”. Lmao

Gen rushing is most certainly a thing, though it isn't necessarily the survivors doing. It's in game design. When you have maps as large/difficult to transverse as they are, with killers like Trickster, Pig, and Trapper that can't apply adequate pressure, then you'll be slammed on gens. Why do you think Corrupt is so popular? It limits some of that, though not entirely. Granted, this isn't seen until higher levels of play.

Now, it CAN be used by survivors. Mostly by SWF, or good solos that know what they're doing. Lots of Prove Thy Self and BNPs/Equipped toolboxes, or a rush to complete said gens over anything else in the match. But in most cases, it comes down to game design.

There aren't many feelings worse in this game, at least to me, then when three gens pop simultaneously in my first/second chase at under three minutes. So, of course you're going to see threads on this, though most for the wrong examples.

  • The details are nice. The deign is atrocious.

  • To be honest, if you body block with BT, I'm going to tunnel you out of the game. It annoys the heck out of me.

  • I pulled it on my survivor two hours ago. Was one hooked, unfortunately. My team couldn't figure out how to get to me. Just watching them run the map was both amusing and infuriating.

  • This is why you take EVERYTHING the devs claim with a few pounds of salt. I've noticed over the years that much of what they say is just to ease tensions and buy them time. Then when it comes time to deliver, they fail. Wash and repeat.

Them claiming they were going to focus on two events was just that. A way to buy time and do nothing.

  • I got tired of '-Rep Tunnel Baby Killer' comments.

  • I'll be honest. If you were just BT saved, and you use that BT to hinder my progress after the rescuer, I am going to tunnel you out of the game.

With that said, in most cases, my tunneling comes from the survivor's mistake. Running into me, for instance, around a loop. Their rescuer gunning for a strong tile while the rescued runs into a dead zone. If that particular character has a key. If I'm being slammed on gens, and I need to get somebody out of the game to exert pressure.

On my survivor plays, I haven't noticed any big increase. Most cases of tunneling is because the rescuer unhooks me in the killers face, then jets off.

  • @Shaped I've been in this game for nearly three years. The amount of players that teabag at the gates vs those that honestly want to do it for points on both sizes is astronomical. You may be doing it for 'noble' purposes, but I've become jaded enough to lump everybody doing this into the toxic category.

Do us all a favor, and leave. The faster we can get into our next game, the happier everybody will be. The small handful of points gained from a hit is meaningless.

  • Dislike. Stop wasting my time and move on already. The amount of survivors that use this as an excuse to be toxic is unreal.

  • It's not toxic by itself. But it can be incredibly frustrating as an M1 killer to have three gens pop in a short span of time.

  • My problem with it is that it cancels your kick, thus stopping whatever perk you had going for it. So, you go through a kick animation, then the blind animation, for another kick animation. That's a lot of time wasted. If you still activated PoP with the blind, I would be okay with it.

There is no comparison to how game changing old moris were compared to keys. The old moris were so powerful it was like the killer having a 2nd power to use in the match. Keys were still conditional. I still had to complete ever so many gens even when my team was being slaughtered around me. In fact it was hardly worth playing unless you did have a key against the old moris and even still you didn't always make it.

And so were old moris. You needed to find, chase, loop, and hook somebody once, then do it again to get any effect. That's still conditional. Different than keys, but still conditional.

You do realize it's a 4v1, right? You don't need to pound out gens, you can simply loop, or hide in a corner, and let your team do the work, and still teabag on a hatch and escape.

'Do people not realize that killers find the hatch first before survivors do way more often?'

Where is your evidence of this claim? Your experience alone is not a blanket statement for the entire game.

'Do they not realize that all they'd have to do is proxy camp it while keeping an eye on the doors?'

So, they have to guard gates that could pop on opposite sides of the map, and a hatch? You make that sound like it's easy, especially on larger maps, or M1 killers. And would it matter? This scenario comes down to a 1v1. Of course the killer is in the power role here. If the killer closed the hatch and just needs to watch the gates, then the EGC has started, so why would you be entitled to a key escape? You try and win, or you try and die.

Of what, exactly? How come people always ignore the good things they've done over the years? Remember infinite loops? And even then, how does that justify people taking an unofficial leak of something that hasn't been released yet and immediately ######### on it without actually knowing what it's like? Not just that, but the leak runs contrary to what we know to expect and have seen over the years, yet a lot of people (apparently) lost all memory of the past events. Does that seem logical and fair to you?

Infinites were in the game for four years. That isn't a plus on their side that they were addressed for a short time, and then reintroduced thanks to breakable walls.

Yes, while we shouldn't fall in line behind leaks, it wouldn't be out of this world to give some validity to them. The cake not staking, for instance. Remember last year when it didn't for a week? Why would be it hard to imagine that it wouldn't run into the same issue this year?

  • Just came from a match where a survivor dc'ed when they saw it was GF, then GF tunneled the second survivor in under a minute out of the game, then the third suicided on hook, only to let me open the gate, just to hit me with NOED and hook me when I had almost crawled out. Ended with EZ in chat.

So, i'm going to rank that up there on the list. . .

Every time I see people say the key should take a certain amount of time to unlock the hatch I just facepalm laugh at how bad of a suggestion that is. Do people not realize that killers find the hatch first before survivors do way more often? Do they not realize that all they'd have to do is proxy camp it while keeping an eye on the doors? I swear I honestly believe there are people that play this game that literally think survivors should never escape or have the absolute most difficult way in doing so.

Keys should not be nerfed. Keys are conditional. If you let survivors meet those conditions thats your fault and they deserve to use it.

Same can be said for old moris.

It's not fair to criticize BHVR based off of leaks. Maybe not you specifically but this community as a whole was way to happy to jump down BHVR's neck for this.

Probably because BHVR has an ever growing track record?

  • The problem people seem to dismiss when it comes to 'Deathslinger OP,' is that he's good in the 1v1, bad in the 4v1. He has no map pressure.

  • 20210623143613_1.jpg

My current giggles build, just for the heck of it. I'm loving Hysteria on her, especially on teams that don't cleanse. Eruption is meh on her, though. I'm sad, as I like the idea behind the perk. Think I'll use it on Wraith instead.

I personally like the crown with the dress. Makes her seem really regal.

  • You tunnel gens, I tunnel you.

  • @Aven_Fallen Is that the hitbox, or latency, though? It's like grabs and Dead Hard. Much of the time they fail is due to the server connection.

  • Watch watching clips of Silent Hill, the movie. The scene with the Nurses didn't pop up, so I was hunting for it. Came across some streamer playing Nurse. Intrigued me, so I picked up the game. Was back in 2019. Nurse was my first killer. I thought I would be the top 0.03% that would be instant god tier with her.

  • @Aven_Fallen I'm sorry, but what? Since when is Victor's hitbox been an issue? I've always had to hit center mass on a survivor to get something out of it, otherwise I fly right through them.

Now, if you had mentioned the Twins camp/slug playstyle, I could see merit in that, but a hitbox? Really?

  • People DC against the Twins? Seriously? First I've heard of it. What does that say about you, as a player, if you DC against one of the bottom three killers in the game. . .

  • To each their own. Consider this, though. If I flip you off, how many people will consider that an insult? Same thing. Some don't see it as insulting, the rest of the Western world does.

It's obvious to see what side is more unbalanced. What beats a god killer is simple. It's gen speed lmao. Spirit is really overrated.

I wouldn't say she's overrated. She earns her spot as second best. Yet like every other killer, there is a certain ceiling she cannot pass. This is it.

Which is why Almo was bonked for his statement about Nurse not being the top killer. I really would be curious as to see what the devs thoughts are against matchups like these. Not for balance sake, you can't/shouldn't balance against the top !%. bit kist om general. Matches like these gives a good idea of how a map is played.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Simply don't let her trap right under gens and hooks. Pyramid Head can't place trails, which are non-lethal, near those, so why can Hag?

Hag is 110% movement speed killer with no chase potential. PH is 115%, plus has a ranged ability. Hag relies on her traps. You add a radius around hooks/gens that she can't place traps, you give up half a tile. There will be map rng where a hook and gen spawn on opposite sides of the tile, which means the tile itself becomes useless for her.

  • Yeah, from experience, matches passed 7 are when the sweats come out. If I play at that time, I can expect sweaty matches. So, if I'm looking to unwind, then I find something else to play.

  • Yes. I don't use them myself, I just use BP offerings, but I know those that use them, use them for something specific. Usually it's a SWF who wants to try for an easy game.

I mean...They should hit when they hit a player. Every Aims where players are which is not how you are suppose to play huntress. Throwing hatchets should a be rewarding to anticipate. Throwing it and hitting them around a corner is not skillful and huntress players rely on the big hitboxes.

But they aren't big. Most 'around the corner' shots is just connection.

I really dislike this perk, it doesnt provide any fun interaction or gameplay. There is no skill or effort involved, its just for bad Killers to push their ego and get some cheeky easy kills even though they played bad.

My idea would be simiular like No way out. Hook every survivors once atleast to make it active once all gens are done.

It did get a nerf. It's a handy, incredibly powerful perk called Counterforce.

  • Escape as survivor, 4k as killer. Easy as that.

  • On indoor maps in general. Outdoor maps, they're useless.

  • Annoying. Now I have to kick the gen twice to apply Pop. I'm already pressed for time as it is. At the very least, apply pop when I first kick the gen. I'm still blinded and all.

  • @Northener1907 said:

Nemesis already weak, C-Tier. I do not think they will nerf him from C to D.
