Boil Over is a terrible perk and it should remain as nerfed as humanly possible. Something that has be annoying as essentially its entire design principle should be made as much of a dead space as can be managed, since excising the code entirely, deleting all the art assets, and never speaking of it again won't happen.
Someone got horseyed one too many times...

that's weird, it's showing for me?
Well, whatever the issue was, it fixed itself.
-
I'm pretty sure they accidentally introduced a delay when summoning a guard as fast as possible, which makes dropping a guard at a loop quickly a bit of a pain. Hopefully that'll be fixed sometime.
He's very much a zoning based killer. You'll want to use his guards to cut off areas where they can run to and force them away from tiles. Once a hunt has started, you'll want to work in tandem with a guard to cut off every possible route a survivor can go. The Pincer maneuver is your friend. Come from the opposite direction that a guard is going in a loop and it's basically a guaranteed hit. You'll probably get a lot of people holding W (as that's basically the only thing they can do) and if that happens you just catch up to them as an m1 killer.
Remember to keep the Standard in mind, it's not that hard to zone away from it, but make sure you're doing so, because having it picked up is really bad for you.
The addons you'll want to run consistently are Dried Horsemeat and Map of the Realm. They make his power a lot more effective. They're low rarity too so you can realistically run them every game. The difference with and without these addons is night and day.

I've actually had a request to make the upvote button "bloodpoints" which I think might definitely be doable.
That might be a neat touch.
Also, the Recent Discussions section is broken at the moment, it shows nothing but a blank screen.

my dear boy....the fact that you cannot read is beyond my understanding, but i will just give the same answer
they three gend themselves, meaning my good boy, that any killer even trapper would have won it, i hope that clears up things for your typical answer of cough well your very nice and simplistic answer.
First of all: not a boy (not everyone on the internet is a man y'know)
Second of all: if you can slack off for 2 gens in a snowman and still 4k, I don't know why you're complaining, those sound like pretty easy games to me. If they three genned themselves with absolutely no input, then it doesn't sound like they were sweating that hard (or at the very least they weren't that coordinated at all).
-
Do you think it would be possible to make the upvote number red and bold again? It kinda blends in with the rest of the text at the moment.
-
You're complaining about winning AGAIN? lol
-
You did exactly the same thing with Dead Hard before it was nerfed lol, I don't think you have the right to decide when people can and can't complain about something
-
Two main uses:
1) You're about to finish a gen and you know the killer won't bother you for a little while, charge Potential Energy just before the gen pops to get a head start on a riskier gen.
2) The killer is hard camping a 3 gen at 2 gens or more remaining. Charge Potential Energy on one of the gens outside of the 3 gen and use it to dump progress into the 3 gen quickly to try and break it.
-
Sadako, Myers (with Tombstone), Pig and Pyramid Head can all kill without a mori.
Any killer can use Rancor or Hex: Devour Hope, and both of those perks have conditions that grant you the ability to kill by your own hand.
-
Make Your Choice is a must-have on her, in my opinion.

None of those abilities "steal a win"
YOu know immediately if a gate is blocked with feddys add on, the pigs add on doesn't steal wins from survivors, and the lethul rush add on probably needs a nerf but it doesn't steal wins.
The Knights ability steals the win, survivors who already opened the gate and are taking a victory lap waiitng for killer will lose if the killer initiates a "ghost chase" inside the gate area and blocks it. that's my point.
It only blocks it for one survivor, the one that's Hunted. You can't exactly win off of that unless it's a 2v1 already, at best you get one extra kill from that effect unless the other survivors stick around for some reason.
You're allowed to taunt the killer at the gates, sure, but that comes with an element of risk. The killer may have an Ace up their sleeve, such as this addon or Blood Warden for example, or you can get too cocky, step out of the safe area and die. You played with fire, and you got burned. It's happened to most of us at some point. Now you know how to spot the addon beforehand (if a window suddenly blocks when you vault it during a hunt, it's this addon), and to leave if you don't want to risk being killed.

Found the post you are talking about. So yeah the whole FOMO business is very sneaky and scummy.

Fun fact: I'm pretty sure they've only done this for the first 5 killers and 4 survivors so far. They're going at a SNAIL'S PACE. So yeah, enjoy your Shard Prices for Slinger in 2025, also we made half of the cosmetics time limited now.
-
Just wait until you hear about this one:
or this one (wow that's 2 perks):
or this one:
Or any Mangled + Haemorrhage addon for that matter.
This isn't exactly a new concept, they've taken inspiration from perks to give addon effects before. Hell, Leatherface has an addon that mimics Franklin's and an addon that mimics Knock Out.
Some killers even have Exit Gate blockers as a part of their basekit. Just wait until you run into one of those.
Learning about the possible effects of new perks and addons (sometimes the hard way) is all part of the game. We've all had that "oh god" moment with Blood Warden before. This is similar. If every perk or addon was super predictable the game would quite frankly be pretty boring.
Also, if not being able to taunt at the gate "kills the fun" for you, I'd reevaluate why you want to play the game. Or don't, maybe the next Slinger or Freddy will teach you the hard way to just leave.

The whole purchase with Auric Cells when they come back is not something that we've stated - please do not spread misinformation on this platform.
It'd be really beneficial to get some definite clarification on this ASAP then. I understand that you're just the messenger here, but this change is extremely controversial and people are going to assume the worst, especially when the new time-limited cosmetics are auric cells only.

Time limited offers is okay, seasonality is fine. The same way as Im fine with stores not having Christmas decorations every day of all years.
You have to demonstrate to me why its bad first. Sure I can agree it would be bad if you prefer it every day, but your preferables should not dictate the rest of the world imo.
The irony of saying your preferences shouldn't dictate the world while wanting nobody to be able to get certain cosmetics outside of a certain time period because you don't like it.
-
@Mandy said:
Whilst the cosmetics will be leaving the store after this seasonal period ends, they will become available next year during the winter season.
This is an incredibly scummy business practice. Retroactively making older content time limited is a new low.

They're now taking away older outfits which previously weren't even time limited. Image source.
What the actual #########, BHVR?
Wow, what a disgusting business practice.

It's intentional, sadly. In fact, all killers that have vault speed adjustments when using their power, such as Legion, Wesker, Myers, and Wraith, do not benefit from vault speed perks. This needs to be reverted
Yeah, not a good change at all.

Scratchmarks are built in by DBD devs. Voice chat in discord is not. Thus exploit.
They have voice channels dedicated to SWF in the official DBD discord, not an exploit.

Seems like the 6.4.0 PTB bug reporting section disappeared, but Mandy said in there just the other day that this isn’t a bug and the vault speed was removed intentionally. It doesn’t work with Wesker anymore either.
Wow, that's dumb if that's true. There's really no reason to remove that.
-
Considering that it doesn't hook into the game process and only uses image recognition, I doubt you'd get banned for it. However, as with all Third Party programs you use them at your own risk.
-
You shave off 2.5% of a generator every time you kick it. That's like 0.45 seconds more than the animation takes. If people are constantly tapping gens then it's a net gain for you.
-
I love default Bill players personally, they do the goofiest things but they've got a heart of gold and will die for you.
-
It's funny because as soon as a SWF starts chilling out on gens and starts going for flashlight saves or fun plays they get called a "bully squad" lol
-
@Rizzo said:
It's a confirmed issue, the team is working on a fix and they reduced the chance to get the map in the meantime to mitigate the problem.
Will the map have increased chances again after it's fixed?
-
This seems to be affecting several maps, the Dream World effects on Macmillan are heavily reduced.
Autohaven seems to be affected to a lesser degree, but the effects are still slightly lessened.
-
Not everywhere has +100% killer bp lol
-
Pinky Finger needs a full rework in my opinion. It's too weak and clunky at 2/3 bottles but too strong at 4.
-
That god damn Storehouse window...
-
It doesn't matter if you didn't log onto the PTB to try it out, the buffer was broken and any blind during the pickup would save.
-
This was legitimately painful.
I had to run Wake Up + Sole Survivor and burn RPD offerings constantly.

Right, that I know! I’m just curious how people are able to do them in quick succession, where it looks like you’re maybe “slapping” or poking another player while crouched
If you press W (you might have to hold shift as well idk) to move it cancels the animation.
So just spam 1 or 2 and W over and over again.

The part that scales between tiers is now the frequency of Survivor screams, which is now every 35/30/25 seconds (previously random between 20 to 40 seconds).
Thanks!

For survivor, Pharmacy.
I love this perk. People say it got nerfed with the change it received, but I really don't agree. I get 2 medkits quite often, maybe even 3. The games where all of the chests are pre-opened before I can grab one are, to be quite honest, exceedingly rare, as in there's only one or two I can think of since the update. Just save me a chest if you're going to try this one out, lol.
For killer, Agitation.
You usually see this one paired with Scourge Hooks to make reaching them a little easier, but while this is a pretty good strength of the perk, Agitation is an amazing perk by itself. You don't realise how long it takes to hook a survivor until you start running Agitation. It heavily reduces downtime from carrying, gives you a wider range of hooks to choose from strategically, and could even let you get a cheeky hit or two in on a survivor who thinks they're safe while you're carrying someone.

@Mandy said:
They have been removed - it's part of our bloodweb improvements, so this is not a bug (I will go ahead and respond on the bug report to make it clear there also).
Will definitely be watching for feedback on this - so feel free to let me have it!
I wouldn't really want them to be removed entirely, getting something higher rarity than what you paid for was always cool. They should come back, but without the "Click to Continue" prompt.
-
Yeah, that'd be a nice QOL change. If they paired it with a Rummage token that guarantees a Green Medkit, but goes away when you open a chest while injured (so you're guaranteed at least one medkit if all of the chests have been opened), that'd be cool.
I don't agree with the sentiment that Pharmacy was nerfed with the change it received. I get far more medkits on average now, and it's a really underrated perk. However, adding a safeguard so you're guaranteed a medkit in the rare situations where all the chests are searched beforehand would make the perk more appealing.
-
The gate blockers only linger if you're downed IIRC.
-
It's so they don't instantly escape when being slammed into the actual exit trigger area. It's not meant to confirm a down from healthy.
-
If the killer applies the Haemorrhage status effect to you, then any healing progress you get will regress rapidly when you're not being healed. This includes healing progress gained from perks like Solidarity, Reactive Healing and Resurgence.
-
Movement speeds don't rely on a specific criteria to be assigned, it's decided on a killer-by-killer basis.
-
Quick waving = Killer is camping
Long waving = Please come and save me
-
I'm pretty sure recoil is heavily reduced when playing on a controller anyway.
-
Believe it or not, it is in fact possible to have both chill and intense games as killer or survivor.
-
Didn't you make a thread a couple of weeks ago complaining that the game was too hard even though you 4ked?
-
Run fullscreen borderless, and alt tabbing should be much smoother. This goes for pretty much every game.
-
It's just like the good old days...
