I don't think hoarder is actually that good on pinhead? Is that me? It just tells him when you pick the box up, but he's already told when you start solving the box, which you normally do the moment you pick it up?
Franklins also seems a bit overhyped on him. I mean if pinhead chases you with the box you're gonna go down anyway right?
-
...so even with the MMR that killers are complaining about, killers are STILL winning 75% of their matches? I thought this game was survivor sided lol
-
I mean, this nerf isn't really going to change anything. Clowns can still use the +2 bottle add-on with pinky finger right? It's just like Iri Head Huntress all over again.
-
@BlackRabies said:
I've never heard of that one. The only 2 times I know when he speaks is when he teleports to the box and when he does his mori.
He's also got ones for picking up and hooking survivors. He's got like 3 or more different lines for each action!
-
-You are no longer locked in an animation while removing victor and can still run.
-Charlotte is now 110% movement speed while she is carrying victor.
-Victor can be crushed at any time, even when charging a pounce. (I can actually see them doing this to stop victor hugging you when pouncing)
-
I never really have a problem with opening the gate. Definitely not wasting a perk slot for like 3 seconds off a 16 second (12 if you do gate tech) action at the end of the match.
-
I don't know if that'd work very well? Doesn't artist have a big range around a hook where she can't place crows?

Sounds not very fair to just turn off a Killers power
Sounds not very fair to stop a survivor from playing the game by facecamping them

Killers would just use lightborn. I think the killer should be stunned or the hook would teleport away or something if they're within the range for long enough.
-
@Verconissp said:
umm...So he can't punish altruistic survivors..?
Then chainsaw then after they go away from the hook, if you're that desperate to camp. Or grab them off the hook...or chainsaw them before they get to the hook. You shouldn't be able to just get two free instadowns with no counterplay just by existing nearby, it's stupid.
-
@HectorBrando said:
He would use it within 4 meters of a hook.
But the chainsaw attack would end when he got too close to the hook. Like when it runs out of charges.
-
He's basically old legion. He will down you and you can't really do anything about it, and he's really easy to play too and really good at camping. I don't even know how to fix him! Maybe make him throw slower.

I think that we should try making at least DS work on his cages for a ptb or something. OhTofu, a trusted veteran with legacy on like all his characters says pyramid head is S tier, and he's generally considered to be one of the strongest killers, so I wouldn't mind seeing him toned down a bit.
Also not to throw shade at anyone, but if you'd be mad about DS working on his cages you're a tunneler. Simple as. It doesn't effect you otherwise.

God no, anything but that. I'd sooner he be removed from the game.
Just pointing out that he does take more skill to play effectively then Clown does, so comparing the two in regards to giving Clown the same effect as Pinhead isn't great.
If Pinhead lands his ranged attack, he deserves the benefit of the Survivor being unable to fast vault a pallet, because it takes skill and timing to land a ranged chain and he gets punished if he misses. If Clown misses (which he won't seeing as the gas is an AOE and not a projectile), he can just throw another bottle immediately.
...I mean, you just put the portal next to them and shoot. Not too much skill and timing about that compared to clown. Clown's gas isn't as easy to use or as strong as you think it is imo, and he needs to reload compared to pinhead.

Think back to when Torn Bookmark did what it did, and then think back to people using both of her iri add-ons. That's what your experience would be like.
Well, nobody used those add-ons because it made her weaker. And nurse really should be weaker because of how she overshadows every killer in the game. I never went against a double iri nurse, ever, and I don't really play enough nurse to have considered it.
Plus, this would free up both addon slots and would be better than the double iris because she's 110% and not 105% like the Matchbox did. But I can kind of see your point. Maybe the first blink should go through walls, but not the chain blinks?
-
@Firellius said:
It's just "blink to where survivor is, get hit". Shouldn't there be a bit more thought for the strongest killer in the game?
I think you should play a bit of Nurse before you make a statement like this. The power is far more complicated, and if it was as simple as you say it is, we'd be seeing far more Nurses and far more complaints.
In reality, her power has a very loud call-out, which gives survivors plenty of opportunity to work against it. You can double back, for example, because the longer the charge is held, the further it blinks.
Additionally, removing the ability to go through walls but giving her 110% would ironically remove one of her best counterplays. I once lost a Nurse's chase completely by ducking around a corner and stopping on the spot once I saw the Nurse charge her power. I ducked back around the corner when she fired and she blinked to where she projected I'd be if I'd kept running, thus losing me completely.
Lastly, I think Nurse is the killer that should be touched the least. It's a very fragile, lightning-in-a-bottle situation with her balance and I think she's generally regarded as a really good part of the game.
It's true, I don't play nurse a lot, but I've seen a lot of very experienced nurse gameplay and the main difficulty of nurse seems to be learning her. Like, she's super difficult to get the hang of, but when you master her it's just muscle memory. It's not like blight or billy or something where you've got to be constantly adapting to the situation and the surroundings, because nurse's power ignores walls and so is used almost the same in every structure.
I also agree with that last part, but it is a fact that nurse is the strongest killer by miles and I think it is inevitable that she gets changed at some point. Thank you for the feedback though!

@Chordyceps said:
Sure removing her ability to blink through walls wouldn't completely destroy her anti-looping potential, but it would completely destroy her mobility in terms of traversing the maps. With how many large maps there are in the game, I feel like we need our fair share of killers who can cross them quickly.
Ah, that's true. I hadn't thought of that. But maybe the 110% speed would help for that?

@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
That would remove Pinhead's uniqueness and would truly render his chain as a worse Clown bottle
A clown bottle that doesn't need to reload, can fly through the air like a missle, stops you from escaping and is most times a free hit at mediocre and below tiles. Oh and can teleport through walls to hit survivors. And can do damage with an addon.
Pinhead's chain is already super good considering he's got the box which is the best slowdown in the whole game, and he doesn't need to do a thing to activate it. He's the only killer where the survivors need to be super coordinated to beat even if he's AFK, which is a joke! No wonder he's so strong statistically.

When you say " he can still pretty much quickscope" it really sounds like you haven't played him since the nerf. On what are you basing this assessment?
Actually, I've played him a ton since the rework. He's still good, he just takes more effort than "click on survivor, win chase" now. It's 0.4 seconds to fire and the bullet moves super fast. That's pretty much instant. If it was 1 second or something then maybe I could see what you guys are moaning about, but 0.4 seconds is nothing compared to most killer windups. I hardly even notice it most times.
-
They literally just increased a number from 0.2 to 0.4 seconds. People are just overreacting, he can still pretty much quickscope and he got a bunch of buffs too! He's got some busted strong add-ons like the cigar and the Exposed one, he can move faster when aiming, he recovers super quick after you break the chain... he's still a BEAST and underrated, just more fair now.
I hope if the developers cave in and buff him, they don't overtune him. I think he's almost perfect! And super fun to play as/against, too!

She can use victor as a distraction (terror radius stay in victor) she would be undetectable, and victor terror report the location of the survivor!
victor can touch gen to regress and lock lockers for while!
Victor attack are ridiculous!
Wait Victor can break gens? I've never seen him do that.
-
Victor can jump over pallets but yeah, his hitbox his HUGE. Basically impossible to miss anyone. It's why twins is such a bloody annoying killer to fight 🤣
-
Idk. He definitely has the weakest instadown in the game, but I don't think you can really buff him without insta-saw. There's too much junk and corners and weird hitboxes in the more modern maps for him to be as good as I'm sure he is was in old DBD. Overheat doesn't do anything so I wouldn't mind seeing that become an actual mechanic. Maybe the higher his heat the quicker his chainsaw charging?
-
@Myla said:
His Cigar add on is so good and overlooked lol
It's basically an instadown. If death slinger ever needs to be looked at again, that addon needs to be toned down.
-
Haha, I like hag. She's really unique and has strengths and weaknesses, and feels pretty balanced when I play as/vs her. The only part that sucks about her is traps next to hooks, but I don't really see how you can fix that. You either make it so that she can't place traps close to a hooked survivor and then she just does a twins and pre-places traps, or you make it so she can't place traps next to any hook and her power becomes really bad and finicky on a lot of maps.
-
Yeah they should remove this. Breaking on walls is good but pinhead walking through them shouldn't break them. He can literally phase through windows, why can't he just do the same for his chains?
-
Nemesis is pretty loud and stompy. Deadlock would probably be better? I'm not sure. I don't see either of these perks very often.

Lmfao dodge what? So the death slinger can do another quick ADS?
Scratch what I said. Deathslinger doesn't need buffs. He's in a perfect state right now and just learn to accept it.
Truth. Death slinger might've gotten a tiny nerf to how quick he can aim, (he can still pretty much instashot, I've played him) but apart from that he's honestly been buffed. He moves much faster when aiming and can zone for absolutely free, he has some busted strong add-ons like the exposed coin and the cigar (both should probably be looked at, especially the cigar which is more or less an instadown) as well as the reload add-ons carrying him if he (rarely) misses. He has the reeling speed ones to get rid of the chain break counterplay, the undetectable one which just makes his stealth better than old death slinger.
He even can still shoot through holes. And his chain break is much faster, meaning your counterplay by breaking his chain is useless because he is stunned for the same time as a hit. The terror radius change is also nothing because all death slingers use monitor and abuse. In fact it just makes Starstruck even better on him, which is one of his best perks.
He's still a SUPER strong killer in the right hands, that's never changed. The only thing that's changed is that now he's just at or around huntress level instead of barely above her. I seriously say that all people complaining about death slinger should try playing him for a bit. I did, and I feel like a beast! Super fun, even if he feels unfair sometimes.
-
Doesn't seem like much counterplay for the crows. She puts down crow, forces you into it, unavoidable damage. Should maybe be 110%?
-
Why do you feel the need to exploit with blight? He's a top tier killer at base even without the j flicks and hug techs and 100000 DPI and other exploits. Just practice as he was intended to play and I'm sure you will still win a lot, and be having a lot more.fun. :)

Huntress is my favourite killer to play against, whilst Trickster is one of the worst. With Huntress you genuinely feel like you can mind game. Will she run through the loop or will she wind up her hatchet? Should I dodge left or should I dodge right or not dodge at all? How long is she going to hold that hatchet when trying to zone me? It's a mind game.
When playing against Trickster it's like: Ok I can dodge left and right and maybe dodge a few, but he will injure/down me just from spamming his knifes. I can't dodge all his knifes and it's not like he needs to put much thought into it since he has so many knifes. Every loop around this pallet I'm going to be hit by a knife once or twice and if I vault the pallet/window I'm immediately injured/downed. There's nothing skill wise you can really do.
That huntress part I don't agree with. Her power just puts you into 50/50s just like old spirit, you either run through the pallet and she catches up and hits you or you throw the pallet and she throws a hatchet and hits you. And if you're running towards a window and she pulls up a hatchet you either vault and get hit or fake it and get hit. I don't know why people love huntress so much when she's the same as all the other ranged killers with counterplay, or how little there is of counterplay I should say.

I don't think Trickster could really be nerfed any further without hitting sub Nurse kill-rates. He's crap-tier as it stands.
Leatherface is only a problem when he facecamps. Which BHVR have already stated they have a mechanical change in mind to discourage.
I don't even know if Twins even really exist anymore. I play survivor on occasion and have literally never seen one.
Why on earth would you nerf Meyers? He's one of the weakest killers in the game.
Trickster is a really underrated killer. He is one of the strongest chasers in the entire game and has zero counterplay unless you are at the shack or a really good jungle gym, and even then you will just take another loop or so before you go down... he can't lose a chase if his aim is even decent. Deathslinger was an A tier killer in the right hands/right add ons pre-rework, and trickster is just as good in a chase. Probably a B tier if the trickster player is really good, A tier with the right add ons. Watch DEAD plays to see his potential, he is a really good trickster.
Yeah, I agree with leatherface. He has really high kill rates though so I think a good nerf would be to make his chainsaw stop after one hit. That way he wouldn't be as good at camping and it wouldn't affect normal leatherface gameplay too much because you only need one hit to down.
I have gone against twins only three times but all of them just camped and slugged. I think that should be looked at, there isn't much counterplay to victor and the hitbox is so massive it's really hard to miss. Since deathslinger got nerfed I think the developers are finally making changes based off feedback as well as kill rate, and maybe if victor becomes AI like the zombies more people would play the twins.
I don't think meyers should get his power nerfed, his power is very well designed and balanced besides the slow start and how annoying it is to have your team feed him stalk and get 99%ed and downed with no warning. But tombstones and unlimited tier 3 are unquestionably OP, and he could maybe be buffed if they were nerfed.
(Edit: Also, trickster has received nothing except buffs since he released. Buffing him again is ridiculous.)
-
I think leatherface, trickster, blight, twins and Michael Meyers will be nerfed. Deathslinger was rightly nerfed but his kill rate wasn't at the top which means the devs are listening to our feedback! Those five killers are complained about a lot and for.apart from Meyers mostly good reasons so I think they will all be tweaked, even if it is just add on changes like Meyers's unlimited tier 3 and tombstones and mirror and blight's recharge hit add on.

Tinkerer is ######### useless on Huntress (apologies if that seemed aggressive)
No it isn't, it tells you where to go and you can sneak up on people and instantly down them with your hatchets. People don't run away when they hear the lullaby so it doesn't matter that they can hear it. And it's super super powerful and oppressive when combined with Ruin.
-
Iridescent Head huntress with Ruin Undying Tinkerer NOED. Killer easy mode haha.
-
I think you should be able to repair gens if you have chains attached to you. Maybe. Buff his normal chains if you need to but it's really annoying lmao
-
If you know where a trap is, you can inch towards the trap while walking until you activate it at the maximum distance. Then, run away in a straight line. This "disarms" the trap as even if hag teleports instantly she won't be able to hit you, and will have to chase as 110% killer. Also if you can, run through areas you suspect might be trapped when she's carrying a survivor or chasing an injured survivor. Often the temptation to teleport is too much for hags to resist and you destroy a bunch of traps.
If we're talking about hook traps, you want to crouch in, unhook, then crouch away before you start healing. However, that relies on the unhooked survivor knowing how hag works and not immediately sprinting away. Also getting caught in the basement against hag is very dangerous, try to avoid that. Hag is less strong than people say but she's still very good, you just have to use your brain. :)
-
They're not that good... it takes ages to set them up and the killer can break them in literally one second and can hear exactly where they are. Leaving no scratch marks doesn't really help when you're already in a chase, and healing isn't that good when insta down killers like cannibal are so common. Although the healing one is definitely the better one and it really helps against killers like wraith and legion and trickster who get everyone injured easy.
-
Honestly? Only legion and clown. The rest have potential and can dominate games if they're played by a good killer. Legion and clown could use some tweaks but aside from that everybody is mostly fine viability wise. it's just that some killers are easy to win with and some are not and nobody gets good enough with the hard ones to win all their games, so they just think they are bad. If you're really good, almost any killer is viable :)
-
He's not a ranged killer. The man has a 5 meters special attack, 6 meters when he builds it up - that's like saying that Shred makes demogorgon a ranged killer. I don't think nemesis needs a nerf. When I play against him he usually loses.
-
For killer, it only seemed to happen when I burned the new Cursed Seed event offering. Five times in a row I used that offering, and each one triggered an infinite loading screen. The two matches I had after that I did not use it, and those were fine. The one match after that I burnt a Cursed Seed and got another infinite loading screen.
This doesn't seem to happen when you burn them as a survivor. This could be coincidence but i would have needed to be astronomically unlucky.

So it’s bad a weak and clunky killer can’t have strong add ons?
Deathslinger weak? Haha you have not seen a good deathslinger. He is rated A tier for a reason, and he still has really good addons.
-
Is everyone forgetting about the buffs? He moves faster when aiming, he breaks the chain faster and he got a lot of his addons buffed. He didn't even really get nerfed all that hard, he can still shoot in 0.4 seconds and his terror radius is really quiet so the increased terror radius doesn't matter. In fact it will help deathslingers who use starstruck and infectious fright.
Give it time killers will adapt. He was an A tier and I don't see anything making him drop.

Really good slingers already weren’t dominating because he has no map pressure. Now he’s even worse.
He was A tier at least before. Now that he can walk faster when aiming he can zone really well, and good killers will adjust to the quick scope change. I think this is a buff to really good deathslingers. It added like 0.1 second to how long you need to aim, that's nothing.
He will still be really strong, you just need to actually be good at aiming now instead of just waiting for a vault and quickscoping
-
Death slinger will never be weak as long as he can instantly shoot and he can still shoot pretty much instantly. Who cares if the addons got nerfed he still has the exposed one and the reload ones, killers are just overreacting. It might be a buff now that he walks faster
