True, a surivior can do that but it isn't really a lose-lose situation to the killer because if the killer is able to find a new surivior. It would make up for the surivior they couldn't put on the hook due to ds.
The surivior with ds would also be wasting time healing because if he doesn't the killer can easily put him/she into dying state.
DS is similar to Ruin because not always do both of this perks always come into action when you need them. A surivior can also argue ruin is a lose-lose situation because they will have to look for the totem then cleanse it, which would waste time for them which could have been spent on gens.
Sure ruin can be done as soon as the game starts (not fair but oh well) , but you can slug the surivior preventing them from doing anything (Which is also not fair). On addition to that if you use slow down perks such as sloppy butcher there is a good chance that by the time the surivior gets back up he would have 20 seconds or less of ds. As you know sloppy butcher takes a surivior 40 seconds or more for them to heal.
A Killer has to spend time finding a new Survivor. It will take them at least 45 seconds to find and down one, likely a lot more.
Good Survivors don't heal, they do gens. Plus, they will likely find the two Survivors you aren't chasing and heal extremely fast.
DS always comes into play. If the Killer leaves you on the ground, that's DS doing its job. It is coming into play. Ruin can be cleansed immediately, plus, good Survivors can hit the skillchecks, making its slowdown negligible.
Sloppy makes Self-Care take 40 or more seconds. Nobody uses Self-Care because it is a bad perk, exactly for that reason. Sloppy actually adds 4 seconds to the regular healing time.

So a survivor should get punished for a killer’s bad play? The killer does have the choice to either pick up the survivor or take him out of the locker. Both decisions benefit the killer because it stops the survivor from making any progress on gens or healing.
So in my opinion, it’s either you accept ds on how it is now or look for other method that the killer can’t abuse.
The perk puts the Killer into a lose-lose. If he leaves them, he has to go find someone else, while that person gets to work on gens for free for 60 seconds.
If he picks them up, he has to commit to a chase where the Survivor has a 5 second head start.

You're getting punished by YOU'RE OWN MISTAKES, stop using this as a argument gosh, you can easily slug the survivor and wait the 60s... is that to hard? and that's a lot of pressure, cause if you down someone else you are slugging 2 survivors, and the other 2 survs should go and heal these slugged survs...
IT BENEFITS YOU..
Maybe stop doing mistakes and say this are survivors bad plays.
Slugging does not equal hooking. I get no points for slugging and hardly any pressure. Unbreakable is fairly common these days, and, I get maybe 25 seconds with that person on the ground.
You are very biased towards the Survivor side. I would absolutely be willing to make the DS timer indefinite, during the regular game (not EGC), with the trade off I proposed above.
It punishes people who hard tunnel, but it cannot be abused by Survivors looking for their 60 seconds of immunity.

It's not a survivior's fault for being unsafely unhooked.
That's true. Sometimes you just farmed, that also isn't the Killer's fault. That could be solved by letting the Survivor on-hook deny a hook save if the Killer is near. I see this getting abused though.

its supposed to be anti tunnel, but its not supposed to be ONLY anti tunnel. and fine lets ner ds even more, but lets get rid of NOED while we are nerfing crutches. If you disagree you just seem to want to give killers a second chance after they make get ######### on the whole game but "muh but he gen rushed they couldve done totems even tho im a trashcan and i need noed to even get a kill" even better, we could bring back old ds ? :D
NOED isn't a crutch. Survivors can completely negate NOED, plus, they get points for doing so. You'll notice very few top rank Killers use it, since it is a bad perk and good Survivors easily get around it.
Am I upset when I get hit by NOED? Yes, very. Am I upset at the Killer or the game? No, I am upset at myself and my teammates.
-
It is supposed to be anti-tunnel.
The Killer should NOT be punished by a Survivor's bad plays. Neither of the above examples are tunneling.
You just seem to want to give Survivor's a second chance after they make a bad play.

Majority of Killer mains are pretty much a disgrace and prefer to be extremely toxic; harassing people and sending death threats to survivors.
There are a few killer mains on this very forum that prefers to complain and harass people for disagreeing with them.
That's just false.
Most players in general are chill. There are a few bad eggs, but they certainly aren't a majority

Clown and Legion need a full on Freddy rework.
Trapper needs his base traps to be a teensy bit darker and he needs to start with all of his traps.
Doc is getting reworked to make him more fun to play against, it remains to be seen if this is a buff or a rework that leaves him just as useless as before. I doubt it will be a nerf, but ya know, Legion
-
I think there is still plenty of work to be done, but we have come a loooooong way. I joined the week before Legion dropped, so my early experience was....fun, shall we say.
I play on Xbox NA, am stuck at Rank 1, please send help.

I think it's fine as it is. As someone said it's only really irritating in endgame collapse. It's kinda needed for when people just decide to tunnel one person to screw them over.
Then having it deactivate when you hook someone else is irrelevant if it is only to stop Killer's from tunneling
-
The only change I'd make to DS is to make it deactivate when another Survivor gets hooked. That is all.
Personally though, I would like a 3 second stun to put it back in line with every other stun, ie Head On and pallets. I know it won't happen, nor is it needed, but hey, I can dream right?

survivor is much slower than killer
you can't reach any windows from most gen spots, than you should let them fix safer zones first in those few good window existing maps
because those are safer spots so you won't get looped from same structures they could advantage of
or bamboozle, that simple
some maps just can't loop even fairly without using those spots like prenn or campbell
how about learn this game first from watching other players in youtube

I play on EU Rank 1-4 and see Moris probably every 5 games on average. Most of the time it's an Ebony.
Rarely see keys, unless theyre looted in game.
Like I said Xbox NA Rank 1.
I saw two Ebony's and a Cypress. Maybe I'm lucky.

Take anything tru says with a grain of salt. He wants game to be killer sided and spends most of his days complaining about all things survivor related. Dude needs a break and to play something else for a bit.
If games going rough, they’re all “optimal swf” with dead hard. If he’s winning, the survivors are chill. Plus he’s always praising himself for being opinionated and a real rebel against what everyone else thinks. Dude does no wrong in his mind, which is classic narcissism at its finest. He’s also always acting bored and annoyed with the people he’s chatting with. Watch and look for the things I said, and you’ll see what mean. I can’t watch him anymore and I really wanted to like him.
Moris and keys are annoying for each side, but they’re rare. I think Mori is easier to use as keys take a lot of work and in my experience work only like 20% of time. Either can’t find hatch, someone dies too early, or killer tunnels one with key. It’s risky to bring in.
I don't think he is Killer sided. I don't normally think he is even right. However, the man literally said that he wanted to open a civil discussion about it. I am not sure how that is objectionable.

You must be incredibly lucky dude, I go against more ebony moris than that per week. Especially since so many killers are afraid of pink neas and flashlight for some reason. Chances of going against moris legit increases when you bring a flashlight or use the pink hair.
I don't think so. I play on Xbox NA Rank 1 for reference.
Also, the one of the two times I got an Ebony, he just mori'd everyone on death hook, so he would've won without it. That's what I do when I have a daily.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
I imagine if you asked the survivor who got mori'd which is more powerful I'm pretty sure you could guess that players answer. That player most likely will have de-pipped with little counterplay possible. The 2+ survivor escaping through hatch event is far less common than mori's as well. Neither is fair or balanced though. It's time that both got looked at.
I actually did a little personal experiment. I counted the amount of mori's I saw from the time Stranger Things dropped to December 1st. I had 2 Ebony's and a Cypress. They really aren't as common as people think.
I've had the opposite experience with keys. I have had a total of 22 people escape thru the hatch using a key. Probably inflated due to the Archives wanting you to run Plunderer's.
That being said, I agree. Something needs to be done about both.

Meh. I have an alright time at red ranks.
-
@arslaN said:
He counts pipping as winning so it makes sense. Getting a 3k/4k is a win to me so moris are more powerful. Especially since you can easily tunnel someone off hook and get them out of the match instantly. You don't have to worry about ds either.
Unless there is a locker.
I consider pipping or a 4K a win. Either works for me lol

Remove either the Obsession buff or the sacrificing Obsession removes the perk.

I've been running some Anti dedicated server build to boost my vault speed and the amount of killers trying to clip my back on safe vaults is becoming hilarious. Starting to think these killers are well aware that they're getting away with these types of hits, I never seen these type of lunges prior to dedicated servers.
Heck I seen some "Okay how did that hit" moments in my killer too
Vault speed builds rarely compensate for Dedicated Servers. It is really a placebo, go look up the numbers and how fast it actually speeds it up.
-
At this point in the game, Killers do not need buffs. Individual Killers need to worked on, but the class as a whole does not need any major changes.
Neither does Survivor. Individual perks need balancing, but the basic gameplay and mechanics are fairly balanced.
If you had made this post in 2016, 2017 or early 2018, I would've been on your side.
Not now though. The game is as balanced as it has ever been. It generally rewards good Killers and punishes bad one's. That isn't to say there aren't unfair things, I still have a large issue with Mori's, Keys and DS. However, you would be a fool to dismiss the fact that the game IS very close to being balanced, certainly leagues closer than years prior.

It encouraged players to dodge excessively.

Is there any combat to this? Its already impossible to outrun his wild swing radius, but when he camps you just lose a survivor. I know the "just work on gens" tactic, but rather than just making the game miserable for 1 person at a time, is there actually anything I can do to beat that?
No. He is going to get that kill. You could try a very risky juke into BT save, but he will likely get that person again, and probably you too.
His swings are fairly easy to juke and dodge, wouldn't recommend it around a hook though.
Doing gens is really your best bet.

I play Solo and SWF. Mostly solo, my friends are never on :(
I usually don't win when I play SWF but oh boy is it a good time. We got a 4 chain Head On stun once.

My personal bet is 15-30. Will vary widely in between there. I don't think we would have many under 12. A lot of the franchises in the game are way older than me

I'm on console and I find it good. I get so much use out of it. The thing I love the most about him though is that he isn't an addon dependent killer. Weak addons, but his power addonless is actually relatively strong with a good player. I think every killer should follow the formula of strong base, weaker addons.
His add-ons all suck except for the grey one's.
His Shred would be good if I could get my sensitivity higher. Also, if it didn't cause my FPS to drop and if it wasn't so easily juked.
His portals are extremely lackluster. Temporary map pressure and slight info.
He needs to be good at something instead of average at everything.

They're an arrogant company that has no competition, so they believe they will make money regardless of quality.
You are biased and looking to start a fight.
You refuse to see any facts but the one's that support your argument.
The Devs went on holiday because it is Christmas. They knew of the issues beforehand and likely started working on a fix. However, they did not want to risk further breaking the game by pushing out an untested patch before going on holiday, therefore potentially leaving a completely broken game for 2 weeks. They chose the wise route of waiting and pushing out a better product later. Unfortunately, it seems some people cannot wait and would rather have a game that does not work at all.
I get it, it is frustrating. Trust me, I know. You just have to suffer through it.

Yes, but the irritating thing is that the oni "fix" was out in no time, yet matchmaking has been busted for nearly a month and NOTHING. Have you met BHVR? It can always get worse.
The Oni fix came out so fast because of the relatively gamebreaking basement bug.
I am well aware of the current issues.
I also know BHVR is a company. They won't make money if they don't make good product. This just happened at an unfortunate time, they will fix it.
-
I was very sorry to hear what Hybrid is going through, I wish him all the best.
As for my personal favorites? I like Tru3, his game knowledge is very good, decent teacher. Otz is just, the best. I mean, he is just so wholesome! I do like Noob3 and Monto, they are pretty funny. The King of DBD Memes is clearly Farmer John tho, great content.

@Aven_Fallen said:

Prove Thyself is actually a bad Perk. Bad in a sense that it is better for the Killer if they equip Prove Thyself than any Perk which is stronger. It also onyl really comes into effect during the Lategame (where the Killer has a bigger advantage than at the Start of the game), because it is more effective to work on different Gens anyway.
Except when it takes 30 seconds to do one gen with two people on it. That's at least two gens done from a single chase.
Prove Thyself removes the need for Survivors to split up and do gens.
