Hell yeah my guy, enjoy.
It's an incredible game.
Also damn, you should really play RE4 then - It inspired so many different games of past generations it's crazy. Dead Space is actually one of them funnily enough
Just be warned though RE4 will kick your rear end a bit but you said you're into souls games so I imagine you're used to games being like that. Good luck!
RE4 is also $20.
That ######### better be worth it lmao

I'll list a bunch of random games that I consider pretty neat, some might not be available on console tho bc you know how it is with PC gaming:
Nioh/Nioh 2 - They're very similar to the souls games in a way, not just clones though
Dying Light 1 - Honestly one of my fav zombie games, still looks and plays great and it's one I keep coming back to on a yearly basis for a replay
Dead Space 1 - If you can get your hands on it somehow, amazing game. It's an xbox 360 game that still holds up amazingly. Plus it's topical since it's being remade + One of the co-creators is making a spiritual successor (Calisto Protocol I think it's called)
RE4 - I'm guessing you've already played this one because it's been ported to every console and some kitchen appliances but if you haven't, check it out. It's such a great game
Metro 2033 - Such an absorbing FPS with some horror elements. Really enjoyed my time with it
Spirit Farer - A indie game with an amazing artstyle and a pretty emotional story. Wouldn't recommend if (like me) you get attached to characters
Paper's Please - An indie game about manning a border checkpoint. It's a lot more interesting than it sounds, trust me. It does so much with so little
I haven't played any of the RE games besides 2.
I loved the first DL and 100% it back in 2016, also own the 2nd game.
I will be trying Dead Space, since it's free.

What are you looking for in a game
Challenging Gameplay?
Good Story?
Replayability/'Time sink' type games (Basically games you can just keep playing and playing theoretically forever)?
Also knowing what kind of genre floats your boat would help, I'll happily recommend some games!
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the Souls games (hated them but enjoyed the accomplishment).
I'm not super picky honestly. I'm willing to try new things!
-
I try to say GG but today when I've lost I haven't.
Just haven't felt like responding to people who took me to Badham, spammed flashlights and t-bagged constantly.
-
Yes.
-
I escape in maybe 10% of my matches.
My teammates all seem like they share the same brain cell and one of them is using it to Bless totems.
Solo Q is awful. I'm glad you're having a good time but you're an exception, not the rule.

“It isn’t fair” and that’s ok.
DBD shines as an asymmetric survival horror as a pvp game it’s a rather dull mechanical experience.
The imbalance makes the game exciting. It’s not fair that the killer is so strong but it’s also not fair that it’s 4 vs 1. That’s the idea.
People are so hung up of a sense of fair play they forget what this game is about. It’s not meant to be fair and that’s ok.
It doesn’t make your opponent a monster or a griefer it’s just someone playing the monster in a game.
Expect them to be a monster but leave it in game.
It’s still entirely possible to play around a camping killer no matter what killer it is but rather than play it out people just quit because “waah it’s not fair!”
I’m sorry but sack up, not every game is gonna be fair and that’s ok, in fact that’s the very thing that makes dbd a horror survival experience and it’s great.
Let's go, I'm having so much fun sitting on a hook for 2 minutes, getting 2K BP and watching your team losing the game.
So fun.
You can have your opinion, it's wrong though.

He DC'd first so I won :)

I think basekit Blight is pretty balanced.
Definitely strong, but not super oppressive.
It's his add-ons. His add-ons are so good.
C33, Alc Ring, Blighted Crow and Rat ect ect

I have.
I’ve also failed a lot trying to do so but had a lot of fun trying.
I’ve also screwed up as a camping bubba and lost out, it happens.
But people just want to tantrum and give up. “It’s not fair waah!”
Go for the save, you might surprise yourself and the killer.
“It’s better to live one hour as a tiger than a whole lifetime as a worm” - Old cat saying.
It isn't fair.
People are allowed to complain about things that ruin their experience.
"Go for the save and give the Killer two downs instead of just one! In the .0001% chance that they screw up, one of you makes it out!"

Why… why would you commit to such a torture???
Because I wanted to win.
And I am spiteful.
-
The only people, so far, that I've seen using Anonymous Mode have been macro spamming me or the one facecamping Bubba.
-
It's been so long but I think it was well over 12 hours.

Dont expect to win with lvl 1 perks underused tier and with 0 synergy.
No perks would have changed the outcome.

Increase Reassurance range to 12m, so that you can actually punish facecamping Bubbas and buff Kinship,so that it works on both hook stages (needs separate activations,of course) and shows up with a timer on everyone's screen/HUD. This way you could equip both perks, of you really hate camping, even though it can be a rather wholesome team building activity, and do your business with the knowledge that your personal hook stages will last up to 3mins: enough to basically finish the whole trial for your team mates and maybe convince the killer to do something more engaging then staring at your face.
Doesn't solve the whole, ya know, ruining someone's experience.
But it would be better than what we have now.

Maybe try incentives not to. Punishment never works in a match setting. and something like Actually banning/timing out players would be a good way to kill a game that has lost players 10 out of the past 12 months.
The entire meta shakeup and basekit Killer buffs were an incentive.

-
I mean, as someone who has been vibing with Wesker since he released, I would like that.
But as someone who has been playing against Wesker too, I do not want that.

@pseudechis said:
There was a golden time when players would hook trade and make smart saves and focus down gens if someone was getting camped.
Now it’s just whine whine whine.
Bubba.
-
I'm honestly ready to start testing actually punishing people for camping at this point.
-
I grabbed and let go of Survivors 3 times today in a single match.
Completely frustrating and it has beyond pissed me off. ######### Solo Q games, ######### Killer queues and a ######### Killer.
I hope I like OW2 as much as I liked the first one because I need to get away from DBD

I just had a match with a cheater and I clearly got DDOS'd. My game froze and then I got kicked, stating I have no internet connection then I checked and my WHOLE internet was down. Restarted my PC and it was back.
HOW is this security issue STILL in game, BHVR???
Because it hasn't started to affect their revenue.

Yeah, I'm having a fantastic time.
Anyone who says Solo Q is fine is just wrong.
-
Here's my one and probably only Solo Q match today.
Gotta love challenges that promote throwing.

Yes.
I also assume they are bad since Mikaela is the new Meg

I have found something I want in the game even less than FNAF.

i have yet to see someone go "Is it just me or do men have a radar for Trapper and spend all match touching his groin" and yet the amount of posts I've seen about Jane and now this about Ada is somehow still shocking to me.
To be fair, I do remember one post talking about Myers' feet when his hospital gown skin came out.
That being said, this is....weird

I ask myself that most days. I seriously can’t find another game to replace DBD as my main. I just keep chasing that high of playing DBD in the good ole Red Rank era, but I don’t think I’ll get that again.
Why are your killer ques so high? I hear a lot of players say that as well, but mine are pretty decent. I wait maybe 4 mins tops? What MMR do you suspect you’re in, Region, and time of day do you play? I play on NA servers, suspect I am in low-mid MMR, and play all different times of the day, with the same low wait time.
NA, all day but usually later and whatever MMR Tofu plays in. Can't stop finding him multiple times a night.

I have yet to see any Killer incentives.

I play it because it's fun and I like it? You people are insane. If you're not enjoying a video game, don't play it.
I am insane for wanting something to be better.
I am insane for needing to vent my frustrations about a very bad mode.
I'd say it's more insane to pretend that Solo Q is fine, but I don't need to attack people to get my point across.
-
@EvilSerje said:
I think if SoloQ is a plaything for killer-players, they need to give bonus in Auric Cells. It would be a salary as a service employee, because just entertain killer is not fun, then it's a job.
It still wouldn't be worth the agony that is the average Solo Q match.
-
I don't think we need seizure strobe lights.
Some atmospheric slow flickering is cool and fine but nobody needs the super fast strobing
-
Awful to play as and pretty awful to play against since their most viable strats are seriously unfun.

I think @Pulsar would like a talk with you. He got DDOS'd a few times because of DbD players who got angry at him.
I've gotten hit off, at this point, probably over 50 times in my DBD career.
When I was well enough to attend college (gosh that was a while ago), I actually missed an exam because they took my internet offline for 12 hours.
-
Damn, you got absolutely out-gamered.
That is the absolute fattest Enduring moment I've ever seen.

I would like to see his charge speed increased slightly.

There aren't any encouragements to leave the hook anymore so it's more prevalent now and that's a problem.
They took away the carrot and you just want to give killers more stick?
If there is no incentive for killers to give a survivors a fair game, why should they?
DH nerfed.
DS nerfed.
Survivors speed boost on hit nerfed.
Killer attack cooldown buffed.
Killer break speed buff.
Gen speed nerf.
Overcharge buff.
Eruption buff.
There's a couple of great incentives. There are situations where you should camp, EGC or a 3-gen come to mind.
However, you don't need to camp the first person you see. If a player still can't win chases, it's on them. Killers have been given plenty of carrots and now I think it's time to test a stick.
-
@ByeByeQ said:

Bringing back old keys and hatch mechanics is not the right approach.
They need to give killers good incentives to leave the hook. Like old BBQ & Chili or the old Pain Resonance notification. They took away the good incentives for killers to leave the hook and now you see more camping. It's a natural evolution of gameplay brought on by BHVR's own bad decisions.
That's not really true.
Camping is too rewarding at this point. There's plenty of reasons to leave and at this stage, I am ready to start discussing punishments rather than encouragements, because it's clear that isn't gonna work.
-
Disagree.
Keys were dumb.
Being able to simply say, "You, you don't get to play anymore" is also dumb.
Let's get rid of the dumb stuff, yeah?
