After seeing her face icons I don't think she's all that cute. Feng is still better imo.

When they go down they can just scream, "MY HIP"
OR that they've fallen and can't get up!
-
@Peanits we love her but please pitch to the team that we want an old lady survivor! All the girls we have are in their 20s or younger except Jane.
-
I was hoping we would finally get an old lady survivor. I guess all the girls in this game are gonna be 20s or younger with the exception of Jane.

Here at BHVR, we don’t believe in excluding people. We’ve decided to give all cosmetics that were being sold online to you for free due to the fact that codes were being sold for an absurdly high price and affecting our consumers negatively.
No codes were ever distributed for the event cosmetics-that you had to grind away tokens for, during a very limited amount of time you say? Let us just conveniently dodge that question. Legacy you say? Well, hold on there, those are exclusives.
Also, we’d like to inform you that charms will stay exclusives unless you’ve decided to go with the paid version of the archives of course.
One more thing while on the topic of exclusives, we’d like to reward Fog Whisperers with exclusive charms that won’t be available to anyone else.
We hope you enjoy your time here at BHVR Interactive and remember that we don’t exclude people anymore, unless you don’t have money, aren’t a Fog Whisperer, or are a console player. Enjoy your stay!
They never dodged the event exclusives. They've explained many times why those are included. Same with legacy. Charms are a completely different story. They're so tiny they're hardly even noticeable anyway.
-
I'm tier 65 or so. I just bought up to like 50 to ensure I would finish the Rift. I have no desire to do any of the challenges. I'll equip them for my survivors but I don't go out of my way to do them.
-
90% of the ones I face are just campers it seems.

People that completed the Summer BBQ Event (Propain Hammer, and Yellow Slip Dress), and the Howling Grounds (Untamed Donkey David, and Hound Mask) should be compensated with at minimum bloody versions of these items.
We were TOLD they were NOT going to come back, so it was get them now, play the event or NEVER get them.
Now they are going back on that, THAT is what I am pissed about.
They NEVER once said that those cosmetics were never coming back. At all. I urge you to find me a tweet, screenshot, post, ect, of them saying those cosmetics would never return. The only thing they said was play the event, get these rewards, not that those rewards are exclusive to it. That's what people assumed, that was probably BHVRs intention, but they never promised it, therefore they can do what they want with them.
-
Well all know if we get Rin as a survivor she ain't gonna have her long hair and if she doesn't have that then I don't want her lmao.
-
@Peanits is there a reason you guys stopped doing chapter themed cosmetics? Will they ever return?

Just seems a little lazy honestly. Its 3 outfits for older survivors and anyone after David just got a shirt usually.
Ehh I guess. The items that aren't part of an outfit make sense. There's no reason for them to be put into that category. The others are more a quality of life change. If you wanna wear that outfit just select all 3 pieces individually like we have been doing for years. A little extra steps but it won't kill anybody.
-
I'm pretty sure it's because 1, like you mentioned, some are not full outfits and 2, the ones you mentioned that are, are not not available via the In-game store, which is where it seems this category comes from.
-
I wondered this myself. Not sure if it was ever confirmed. @Peanits or @not_Queen can either of you say anything about this?

What i've been saying this whole time but your post will just be disregarded with some drivel.
I think most people are just tired of hearing about this. We both know the devs aren't gonna provide anyone anything in regards to exclusivity. It's a lost cause. I think we're all just gonna have to accept the fact that at the end of the day, BHVR doesn't want exclusives and if you're looking for that, play one of the many games that does support it.
It's clear BHVR has changed their stance in regards to exclusivity and the only solution is to accept it or not to play the game.
-
I believe Peanits said they don't want to do that because they want to avoid making the people who lost their cosmetics pay for them.

They stated multiple times on multiple streams and in comments on here as well that you had to participate in the events in order to have a chance to earn the event cosmetics!
This isnt hard to find at all...
That doesn't mean anything. They never said those cosmetics would never be released again, just that you had to participate in the event to receive the cosmetic at the time. Saying they would never be obtainable again would be going against their word. But they didn't say that.
Just like everyone assumed the code cosmetics were exclusive but they never said those were never gonna be released again.

Sure it will
It worked for everyone else on these desirable non-legacy skins.
I want my free legacy now.
I didn't earn it. I didn't grind for it. But I still deserve it because YOU people are basically saying NOTHING is special.
Very rarely were people demanding the other cosmetics. Maybe every once in a blue moon but not at the length you suggest. This is a decision BHVR made on their own. It wasn't driven by the community. In fact, it was quite a shock for all of us.
-
I have two Survivors P3-50 and am working on getting Jane there as well. Meg is at P2. I don't prestige any killers because I barley play killer and don't care enough.
-
I can't give a direct link it's in one of the dozens of posts about these cosmetics. Just look for the community manager tab and read through all those.

Even the Hallowed & Withering Blight cosmetics, which were free from an event you must purchase from the Store. Why shouldn't these Event cosmetics get the same treatment? Other then the, "Yay, fee stuff!", argument.
It's because they want to avoid making the people pay for the event cosmetics they lost. I remember Peanits specifically said that.
-
@Peanits can you have the team look into this guy's case?

Soooo, all of them were custom tournaments from "random" people of the community? Sorry to say, but you earned nothing. These weren't official tournaments from bhvr. These codes were free in the first place.
Not sure if this was an official DBD contest but I think it was. Correct me if I'm wrong.

what are you talking about, those skins were exclusive, just people didn't knew temporary
and if devs said we giving all of these free at 2019 winter most people didn't travel to event locations at firstplace because simply its too far or tired
or people had to grind with tons of times to earned them
thats even more than money, if you not consider homeless
if its provided form of codes, devs could 100% predicted someone will sell on markets too
and mostly codes on ebey for 2 years as i see the date sometimes even 3years
if you anything talented and grown you might considered part of these but you looks nothing but innocent kid
They were exclusive. They're not anymore. The devs never said they were to remain exclusive so that's on them.
Their intention was not to have these codes resold. As I mentioned they probably debating giving these out for a while but decided nows the right time.
As for the rest of your arguments, they make no sense so I'm not gonna comment on them.
-
People did not travel to the events just for the code, if someone did, that's on them. The devs also never said those cosmetics are exclusive, that's just what everyone assumed.
Buying the code off someone online is the EXACT reason they're doing this. They do NOT want to support code selling and if someone lost money because of this that is entirely their fault and they frankly deserve it. It's a scummy thing to do and BHVR gained no profit off of it. These are free cosmetics they gave out, they should never have been sold for hundreds of dollars.
These skins are being given away to everyone for FREE. They're not being sold in the In-Game Store.
Doing this now was probably a decision they've thought about for a while. Doing something like this is pretty big and they had to think long and hard on it. Just last year they started to stop doing exclusives and they've decided now would be the best time to stop it for good, especially since DBD is becoming more popular and mainstream. I mean Bill and his cosmetics were just added to consoles this year too.

I appreciate the information you've given me but this isn't the point of my discussion. I am already aware of the reasoning behind why certain exclusives aren't going to be released. The main point of my discussion is that BHVR have failed a loyal playerbase. I only brought up the exclusives of Bloodletting, Legacy and streamer exclusives because they will still breed a culture of highly priced codes sold by third parties which, in my opinion, is what BHVR are attempting to stop by making all the other exclusives free. It just seems so contradictory of their main aims.
Legacy does not include a code so no it will not be sold by someone online. They also connot put out the streamer cosmetics because it was agreed in their contract they would remain exclusive to that streamer and anyone they give it to. Regardless, I don't believe I've ever seen any of the streamer cosmetics being sold online. If there are any, they're few and far between.

It's coming from one of the discord mods from the official DBD Discord...
That's still not a developer. Moderators are individuals who help keep peace within a respected community, not individuals who work for or get paid by BHVR. The moderator even mentioned that the photos provided aren't his own. When you can find a quote from an official DBD developer, then we'll talk.

That’s EXACTLY my point. Further adding to the function of the “exclusive” argument.
It has made exclusives even more rare now and valued at much higher than they’ve ever been, emotionally and/or monetary-wise.
But at least the remaining ones aren't available for purchase via code.
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:
BHVR should not have made “all” exclusive cosmetics free for everyone until they actually meant ALL cosmetics. This is just excluding people when their whole point was to not exclude people.
This action has only aggravated the veteran community and others, while further dividing people, regardless of them being right or wrong.
The only cosmetics that aren't returning are either ones that they confirmed are exclusive (Legacy) or are within a contract with a developer/streamer (Diatech, Twitch, ect).
-
Yeah what Nick said. It's used for cases where someone is intentionally holding the game hostage by trapping someone in a corner for example and not letting them move.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1305048187
That information isn't coming from the devs so it's irrelevant.

That's literally the meaning of an EXCLUSIVE COSMETIC , the skins that are coming for free were supposed to not come back at all.The only reason they cameback it's because a lot of people lost those particular cosmetics , i don't really think BHVR would be held account for cosmetic scams.
I don't think the devs EVER mentioned those cosmetics are exclusive. That's just what everyone assumed.
I do think that was the devs intention however they have decided to do it differently, and since they have never promised that they're exclusive, they don't owe us anything.

I'm fairly new to this game, i started playing shortly after Ghostface came out, so this does nothing but benefit me. But if i had been playing from the start and got some of these cosmetics i know they would mean a lot more to me than they would if im just given them or even have to buy them.
It's also something that confuses me about the battlepass, i think i will end up getting it but i dont really love any of the cosmetics and they're coming to the store anyway. Part of the appeal of battlepasses is you get ######### that can only be obtained in that limited window. Selling them after the fact makes it seem like im just buying a bunch of cosmetics i would never buy alone in bulk for a discount.
So yeah totally team keep ######### exclusive
I think the charms are exclusive not 100% sure though.

If that's what you took from my comments then you clearly didn't read through them properly, that was not at all what I was saying. I'm saying they should be responsible for THEIR product. They were exclusive, and should have remained as such. Disagree all you want, don't twist my words.
I don't mean to offend you here, but yes it was exclusive, but not even yourself should have been able to get your hands on it. The only way you should have gotten it was getting it at the China event. The devs are specifically doing this to avoid the act of code selling. They don't want to promote that. And want to stop it. This is the perfect way. You shouldn't be compensated or upset about this because you didn't even earn the cosmetic the way the devs intended. In fact it's quite a malicious act to do what you did. I don't care if you even spent 10 on it. It was wrong and I truly do feel sorry for you.
As others have said, this is a learning point for you. Just be glad you still have it. A lot of games would take action against someone for buying or selling codes.

Hense the reason I asked if the unreleased ones will be available stating I was a Feng Main in the post right above that Peanits replied to.
Well I'm just saying I wouldn't really count those as they were never given out to anyone. I'm a Feng main too and own all of her cosmetics and am hella excited to finally get her gold outfit and own every single cosmetic for her. However, I don't count the shorts since absolutely no one owns them. I thought you were under the assumption that they had been released before. My bad.

Not really. It's just a unique item teir that says "hey, I got this through the event/code/whatever". It's already in the game for some items (such as the streamer items that were later included into the charity case)
I feel like cells or shards are more likely to happen. But I doubt even that.
-
As that page mentions, those shorts were created and found in the files but they were never distributed, not even at the con. Not one single person owns those shorts. They were never released.

It might be a possibility that it could happen, but chances are people will just buy Deathgarden and get the code if they cared enough. Even people without a PC can get the code quite easily from those purchases as well from steam. This may seem unrealistic, but wouldn't become a issue because of the fact Deathgarden is available for anyone to buy instead of being a timed event.
Also it's a sly way for you to get the increased profits since it was a nice way to garner support to Deathgarden.
Thats a shame I really did hope for the other Feng outfit.
Also thanks for replying usually I just get left dry after one reply.
What Feng outfit? Her only exclusive one is the golden one.
-
@Exerlin said:
You should be getting a special Artifact version of the item if you own the exclusive version, so it wasn't all in vain.
So you want to get an exclusive even though they're doing this to get rid of exclusives? That's completely contradicting what they're trying to do.

In steams administrator area for codes. they have the option to disable active codes... They could just do that instead. Would fix the reselling issue and the scams.
They can't do that, that would also disable all used codes so everyone would lose their cosmetics according to Peanits.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Also just FYI to anyone saying "just deactivate the codes"... even if they did that people would get scammed because not everyone knows the codes are deactivated. It'd actually just make the problem worse.
They can't do that to begin with because everyone who used the codes would lose their cosmetics.
