  • Legion because they are literally a bunch of edgy teens playing dress up trying to kill me. Also gameplay wise they just stab me and I mend

  • Yui because I hate her design story and perks

    i do like oni though

Personally my biggest gripes with the game are currently :

    - Hitboxes for both killer and survivor, I still don't understand how as survivor, a killer's weapon will be 6 feet away from me and still hit but as killer my weapon will go through a survivor's model and yet doesn't harm them.

    - Exhaustion add-ons, these should have been changed way back with the exhaustion nerf

    - Flashlights, pretty sure the beam not giving proper feedback is a known issue but I could be wrong

    - Hag's traps moving your camera, I don't expect this to be changed but it pisses me off to no end

    - Deathslinger (no explanation needed)

-The gap between solo and SWF

    - DS and Unbreakable, DS is evidently a very difficult perk to balance, in its current form it can be easily exploited however the majority of change suggestions I see seem to remove a large part of the perk's functionality

    - Stridor negating the effect of Iron Will (specifically on Spirit), Iron Will is a solid perk that has amazing functionality without being overpowered, it is also the only perk that gives a survivor a fighting chance against a Spirit while injured. Because of this, many Spirits have began to equip Stridor which negates the effect of Iron Will and removes Spirit's only weakness in chase which I think is poor gameplay design.

Wouldn’t call deathslinger outdated more just boring to fight against. Even as someone who loves playing him he pretty much leaves no opportunity for survivor outplay in his chase

It's still a wonder why it's not affected by Unnerving Presence and Enduring. Enduring reduces your stun duration is reduced, but not for DS, nope: DS is an exception! Unnerving Presence even says plainly: "Triggered Skill Checks' success zones are reduced by 40/50/60 %." Well, for every skillcheck in the game EXCEPT DS, because DS is an exception again! They basically nerfed the only perks that could counter it so that they don't counter it anymore, as if DS was too weak of a perk and nobody wanted to use it.

Enduring only effects pallet stuns because dis was too weak when you had it along with perks like head on would be useless

unnerving presence doesn’t effect doctor or pig skill checks because they want them to be consistent like ds

  • Play him and Jane the most. I still think I see less Jeff personally

  • When I play clown with the Halloween knife I get distracted with how cool it looks so I miss feels bad man:(

Clown can definitely do some damage, but I don’t think he is on par with the other killers at the moment. I don’t think there is a killer in the game that can’t win or is completely unplayable, but if I have to put someone in the D tier, it’s gotta be him and trapper. Although, I can see why someone would put him higher because he can handle chases pretty well.

Huntress and deathslinger are just the better choices for a range attack killer and he doesn’t have the map presence like billy, oni, etc. He has to spend time reloading his bottles when he runs out, or he can continue a chase as a normal M1 killer which isn’t something you wanna be doing.

I’m hoping that this upcoming rework puts him on par with other killers and mastering clown would be more rewarding than it is now.

I’d say I’m biased here because I’ve mailed him since I got him and I’d consider myself pretty good with him but I would agree huntress and slinger are better.

I just think people like other calling him the objective worst killer in the game have some major flaws in their argument

  • certain addons such as tombstone, iri head and exhaustion addons don’t really fit the game anymore

on a side note some models look really bad. Best example is hillbilly in his default outfit vs his new rift one. It’s a massive difference

Honestly, I think they might have nerfed Knock Out while designing Twins. Imagine old Knock Out hiding the aura when Victor goes on a slugging spree. *shudders*

God that would almost be as bad as pre nerf forever Freddy

  • Is clown really that bad?

good bottle placements can render most loops unplayable and either force a hit or super early pallet drop

good bottle throws to zone survivors away from other loops

easy access to exhaustion and extra slowdown via addons

definitely isn’t D tier I’d put him up to C maybe B if your really good with him

  • @Altarf said:

All I can say is they'd better not make Infectious Fright only work on basic attacks. Give it a small cooldown if you absolutely have to nerf it. If Infectious only triggers on basic attacks then Plague and Oni are dead. Please, almo, have mercy on us plague mains, we've suffered enough

They said it would be too weak if they did so it’s not getting changed

can’t say the same for knockout though

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Why don't no one like the maps being dark? I think it's good as it helps promote a stealthy play style.

    You answered your own question

people don’t like stealth because it’s boring for a lot of people me included

  • They should make it so it only activates on totem cleansing because sometimes you wil walk past a totem you didn’t know was there and have them know your exact location

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    It runs amazing on ps5

Been playing on a series x and it’s amazing that I can finally get good with slinger because the game doesn’t stutter whenever I ads

I just hope they fix Laurie and Quentin...

That involves actor rights they don’t have

but I have grown attached to Quentin’s current face tbh

  • Hope is pink gas stays the same

orange gas could cause oblivious and remove red stain for mind games?

    remove exhaustion and pinky finger

    remove vaulting grunt

  • Imo they should rework remember me to regress gates by using the tokens you have stacked up. 1 token per 50% of gate?

  • @vacaman said:

And then people want to nerf ruin/undying and pop.

Pop already got a nerf and undying needs a nerf to it’s aura reading

Mate pinky finger absolutely is fine. You actually have to hit the survivor for I to work whereas the iri head it's dodgy.

It’s pretty dirty once you get used to it. One bottle to slow one for direct hit. Pretty much perks instadown without downside

  • I feel the same. Only got one hate message in the last 3 months

  • @danielmaster87 said:

I'll tell you what I like about the new maps: EZ survivor games! They are so unbalanced! Thank you BHVR!

Personally I’ve had and easy time as killer. Huge dead zones and unsafe pallets galore

  • People wanted tuning guide nerfed so why not this . This is a better tuning guide

  • Oni: I could probably move him down but I put him there for his insane snowball potential

Billy: still has great mobility and a consistent instadown  everything an a tier killer needs

Executioner : I put him in A due to his second chance perk counters and insane chase potential

Plague: Even if no one cleanses she is still a decent killer but with corrupt pools base and apples she becomes pretty good

Clown: Has very good anti loop and can be very oppressive in a chase in the right hands. Long reload can be circumvented with addons

Ghost face: lack of chase potential and long cooldown but him down to C tier.

Myers: put him so low due to his lack of map pressure and slow start and him getting looped easily

  • @Asssblasster625 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1851209#Comment_1851209

Twins is understandable but not really on doc his loop cancel only works if timed almost perfectly

It is hard to use but if you get it down is is very good at denying loops to a point where everyone just pre drops which an be dealt with

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

Imo nurse ghostface and huntress are misplaced, maybe hag too. It obviously depends if you're a console player or not tho. As a pc gamer I think the nurse is currently the strongest killer in the game if played correctly, followed up by spirit and hag. Nurse is perk reliant, and spirit is add-on reliant, but a hag doesn't need anything. A hag can dominate without any perks or add-ons, having these just make the job easier.

A god huntress is actually more scary than a god nurse imo. I've been against huntresses that down me from across the map because they're godlike. The only downside is that she's map reliant. I'd personally say at least A tier.

Ghostface is also incredibly strong if played correctly. Unlike Myers, the ability to remove the red stain and tr mid chase is almost godsent. The only flaw is that he's really often a 115% killer with no power. A tier for me.

Freddy might be strong but he's not unbeatable, just boring to play against. I'd put him top of A tier and that's me being generous. When you make tierlists you shouldn't consider a killer strong because they're strong with a perk or add-on, if that's the case forever Freddy is s tier and iri huntress is the best killer in the game. I'm glad to see that you didn't balance em that way.

Also I think that the clown is the worst killer in the game, but that's honestly my opinion. You can argue that wraith is, but my experience tells me otherwise. I won't challenge you on that tho

I put spirit and Freddy higher due to their eas of use

huntress unlike nurse has some loops where her power doesn’t work and has to reload unlike nurse

hag can be countered by flashlights and disabling her traps when she is carrying someone

ghostface could be higher I just do well in most my games against him and his lack of anti loop really hurts him on some maps

i can see what you mean with clown but I’d argue all of d tier is worse then him due to their lack of anti loop and their struggle to get consistent downs

So what if Haemorrhage caused healing progress regression whilst not actively healing, such as interrupting a heal, or countering those sneaky survivors that like to heal to 99% to keep using their resilience or dead hard until they’re about to be hit.

This still wouldn’t make Haemorrhage amazing, but it’s something better than how it is now.

They would have to balance haemorrhage addons and perks accordingly but otherwise that sounds great!

  • @MadLordJack said:

I would put Blight above Oni. He always has his power handy and doesn't get hurt by the second-chance meta nearly as much, and to be honest a good Blight is scarier than a good Oni. Oni can be caught in maze tiles, main buildings and killer shack, and survivors can play safe in the beginning and force his slow start to be even slower. The instadown doesn't make up for it, at least in my experience.

Yeah your probably right I only put blight lower because in my experience I’ve met like 4 good blights compared to many good onis

  • @Asssblasster625 said:

How are the twins and doc higher than ghost face

Twins are very effective at camping and slugging and while this strategy is boring it works quite well

doc has great tracking and good anti loop

ghostface has good stealth and potential instadowns but no way to follow up on them with his terrible chase potential

  • @Nameless said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1849865#Comment_1849865

How is Ruin+Undying luck based though? The effect may be too strong, but it only works if the killer is pressuring gens.

Totem spawns can be bad or good. Does undying spawn next to survivors or in the corner of the map? Does ruin spawn 4 times extra? Corrupt pop was much more consistent bar the very occasional bad corrupt spawn

  • @GhostMaceNotCrusty said:

Cmon, ghosty is better than c tier and if c tier stands for crusty, refer to my name.

when I play against him to me he is a m1 killer with good stealth but no way to end chases. His power has a long cooldown and exposing people only does so much when you can loop him easily.

cooldown addons make him a lot better but they can only do so much

  • @Asqueado said:

You can put on "S For Scrubs" SWF too :)

it’s easier sure but just because I play with my friends doesn’t mean I’m a scrub

  • @h0lden said:

Doctor too high. Ghost face much too low. Clown too high. Huntress too low. Not bad other than those small changes.

Doctor: Has a great chase power and great tracking what more do you need

Ghostface: lacks map pressure and chase potential but has good stealthy does rely on addons to make it better

Clown: Great chase power that completely shuts down most loops enough to get him out of D

huntress: too map dependent and a lot of loops cause her power to be redundant

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850282#Comment_1850282

Umm you do realize you can do gens against a spirit too, right? She can’t be in multiple places at once and is 4.4 just like slinger. She might have some mobility but it’s got a long cool down unlike billy.

Father’s glasses is ultra rare, and no one ever uses that add on, so I have no idea why you’re bringing that up. Again, being able to track with those things are not easy at all and takes practice. Maybe if you have like 5000 hours in the game or playing against potatoes that always hold W, it’ll be easy.

No one can just pick up spirit and instantly master her. I started playing blight very recently and usually 4k, but does that make him skill-less? No. Every player has their own skillsets and learning curves. Some players struggle with spirit because they simply don’t have that specific skillset but they could do better with other killers even ones that are known for a relatively high skill cap. You can have your own opinion, but don’t act like everyone can play spirit at an optimal level, because they really can’t.

When I said do gens I was referring to slingers lack of mobility a problem spirit doesn’t have

sure no one can pick up and master spirit but that’s the same for any killer(except Freddy). Thing I syou can’t pick up killer like trapper and oni and get consistent 4ks like you do with spirit.

sure some people might find tracking harder than others but tracking is a fundamental thing every killer must learn to succeed it’s not specific to spirit because spirit has no specific skills to learn.

it’s clear I’m not changing your view on this so I’ll say this killer requires skill but spirit doesn’t

.it’s clear that I won’t change your mind so I’ll leave it here at this. Killer requires skill but spirit specifically doesn’t

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850208#Comment_1850208

All of those killers you mentioned require a completely different set of skills. Following scratch marks and being able to predict exactly where a survivor is going is not that easy and is so much more skillful than people realize. It’s prolly easy for you because you might play against potatoes and/or DCers every match. Spirit is the most bashed and misunderstood character in DBD’s life cycle and it’s kind of gotten ridiculous at this point. People only say she’s requires no skill isn’t because of her being unfair to play against, which I do understand and I hope the devs make changes soon. The spirit player still needs to be good to be oppressive.

Is the skill of tracking survivors specific to spirit though? She isn’t really misunderstood she’s hated on for very valid reasons as nobody wants to be powerless in the most fun aspect of the game.

you don’t see many people complain about killers like nurse billy oni and blight because these killers can excel in chase so long as the player using them is skilled.

as for most bashed and misunderstood that goes to deathslinger at least he has the counter play of doing gens

you can still track invisible players by blood if you have the addon, scratch marks, pain grunts, footsteps, crows and foliage moving. With all that being directional. That is not hard In the slightest

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850171#Comment_1850171

Well of course every killer requires game sense, I never said they didn’t. Spirit requires a lot considering that she can’t actually SEE survivors. Tracking them by sound alone is easier said than done. Not everyone has the mentality to track exactly where a survivor is. Standing still isn’t a skill, but it is a skill in itself to know when to stand still and when not to. I understand you prolly don’t want to admit it, but spirit does require a lot more skill than you realize, although I respect your opinion and we can agree to disagree.

tracking a directional sound bubble that leaves scratch marks isn’t skill. Especially with stridor spirit becomes autopilot mode. All of the skills you need to play spirit a not killer individual. There’s no throwing arc like huntress or clown. There’s no curving like hillbilly and oni and there no trap placement and prediction like hag and trapper. If you can play killer to any conceivable level you can play spirit.

Im not saying all spirit mains are bad players I’m just saying she does not require any skills individual to her

  • @GannTM said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850157#Comment_1850157

Freddy I can understand. Not spirit tho, she requires a lot of game sense, great reads, and great predictions. Her skill ceiling isn’t huntress or nurse but it’s still significantly underrated.

Every killer requires game sense. All you do is follow the sounds and win the guessing game 9/10 times. You can stand still and hit out of it. Not much skill involved there

  • @Marigoria said:

If you want everything, sure. If you don't play enough to earn the shards, then only get the characters you really want. Otherwise buy them. If you don't want to buy them or get them with shards, then...

    that's a you problem

I’ve bought all chapters but I can say especially for killer some are nessacary to win as killer and locked behind a paywall (Myers and bubba).

    this games monetisation is trash

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    FOMO? that's a you problem

Battle pass? that's a you problem

Too many paid DLCs? all non-licensed DLCs can be obtained through playtime

Ridiculous amount of grind? subjective, somewhat agreed

Expensive microtransactions and currency? that's a you problem

Don't take the game too seriously and let it live/evolve/die as BHVR so chooses. If you don't like it...I'd say don't play it but there's not much else that's enjoyable at the moment.

9000 shards per character ain’t cheap for a paid game

  • How that and the pinky finger have lasted so long I don’t know

  • Much preferred corrupt pop as it wasn’t luck based whether the killer won or not

  • If the blocked gens did some regression it could be good
